This article from WND is part of the bread and butter reasons for this site.
As I chronicle in Recapturing Our Heritage – The Founders and Patriarchs of America were completely imbued with the idea of Christian principles being the foundation and practice of the community that would lend itself towards the governing of the Republic which sprang from a Christian heritage.
Today, with the successful lie that is now accepted as truth regarding the non-existent Constitutional dogma of “separation of Church and State”, a republic that was dependant on Christians and biblical morality to maintain liberty, has devolved into the Christian church itself separating from civil duty – surrendering the culture to the Secular Humanists that have replaced sound wisdom with debauchery and complete confusion about who and what if anything America is supposed to be and stand for.
All anyone can say is that America is for freedom.
But what kind of freedom?
Well, the freedom to do whatever satisfies your material and physical lusts. The freedom to be free of guilt and responsibility. The freedom to not be offended. The freedom to feel safe from your neighbor. And the freedom to help yourself to your neighbor’s wealth by using the government.
Today’s freedom has little in common with the liberty our Founders secured for us, and we can blame the devolution and collapse of our culture and the nation on one specific group of Americans: Christians.
Yup, you read me right. I said Christians are responsible for the mess this nation is in.
Why?
Because we divorced ourself from keeping this culture on track and fighting to keep Christian heritage, history and God front and center of our civic life.
Christians were intended to be the Jedi Knights of this Republic, but very much like Lucas’ last movie – we failed. We rested on our laurels and church basket offerings; bought into false doctrines of “judge Not” and “health/wealth” abandonment theology; crafted an entirely new Jesus to placate our desire for “blessings” and refused to stand for anything but our own little corner of the church maybe once a week or twice a year.
In a nation of supposedly 180 million Christians – less than 5,000 stood to protest the removal of God’s Commandments from Montgomery AL when ten times that number turn out to march for abortion, homosexual marriage, and other various so-called ‘rights’. Yet to stand for the first Amendment Right of Free Exercize of religion – there are but a hearty few willing to risk the ridicule and scorn, and the rest – silent and absent.
When 9 unelected Justices in black robes pound a gavel and decree: “Get God Out” – instead of following Peter’s example and declaring “It is better to obey God than men”, American Christians think the SCOTUS gavel is holy papal writ and therefore, hide behind their walls and doors and seclude themselves from the culture and let it rot to the state of decay it is right now. Christians it seems are not willing to fight and stand for anything but arguing nuances of doctrine among themselves and declaring this Christian group or that one Apostate – while the Secularists are abolishing their faith by judicial fiat and convincing Americans that God and Country are separate.
No wonder so may churches and pastors are going right along with the Secularist demand that Christianity and biblical ideas be removed and divorced from society and public view.
Should Christianity, politics mix?
We are engaged in a war that is not only defining our times, it is determining our destiny.
I’m not talking about the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan, or even the broader war on terror – those are offshoots of the real war. I’m talking about the culture war.
The culture war is a struggle between secular socialism and free market traditionalism, and the outcome of this struggle will ultimately determine whether or not the jihadists will pick up the pieces to convert America and Canada into a North American caliphate….
…ar better to let atheists, agnostics, humanists, socialists, or Marxists rule the West, like they did in the old Soviet Union. Remember the Soviet Union? It lasted what, 70 years? And when it collapsed under the weight of its anti-religious, nihilist, man-centered worldview, it gave way to a situation where some of its tiny satellite states were ripe for Islamists to take control.
That’s why I don’t hold out much hope for a victory in the culture war if the current leadership remains in place. When so-called “Christian leaders” are ready to abandon their responsibility, there’s not much hope that North America can withstand the tenacity and conviction of the jihadists waiting on the sidelines – witness what’s happening in Europe.
Besides, if the “end times” are here anyway, why not just pick Hillary for president?
That should really speed things up.

What a great blog by a great mind. This is absolute truth…and no apologies given for it.
Courage is not the absence of fear but action in spite of it.
You should be in public debates, on the radio, in magazines, writing letters to the editor, in books, on TV…in the pulpit…
Better keep moving so you won’t be an easy target! Remember how Johnny Appleseed set out across the midwest with a pot on his head (his Christian armor) and a bag of seed? What a legacy of growth and positive benefit to Americas resulted (saving many hungry settlers from starvation while they “entrenched” themselves in the wilderness). You are spreading seeds of truth and planting small trees for the future. May you bear much fruit.
