The Gunwalker Scandal with Operation Fast & Furious have a far more insidious and sinister motive behind it than a stupid break in for campaign dirt.  Not only was this whole operation of running guns via all the Alphabets of the Federal Government to Mexican drug cartels, an attempt by the Obama regime to blame the Constitution’s 2nd Amendment as the culprit for violence in Mexico and our borders – but it was funded and paid for by Obama’s Stimulus program  - meaning we taxpayers funded this crime, and Obama signed that into law so it could be used to abolish our right to keep and bear arms.

But wait there’s more.  The hoped-for intent was that both the Mexican government and the Alphabets in the Fed would reveal that gun shows and gun sales in the U.S. were putting guns in the hands of drug cartels that then were being used to kill U.S. law enforcement officers.  Obama prepped this narrative of blaming America for the gun and drug violence in Mexico way back in April of 2009, a few short months after taking office.  Obama wanted to create a demand for renewed gun bans on all semi-automatic weapons in the hands of Americans, and push for a treaty to be ratified in the Senate to track and curtail arms in the U.S.  It was after this that Porkulus money was apportioned to the alphabets to conduct gunwalking operations to get guns into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.  The promise of increased annual funding and power over average Americans was a drug they could not pass up.

Not until those same weapons handed to the Mexican cartels were used to murder border patrol officer Brian Terry, did the moral weight of what was being done cause some whistleblowers in the ATF to go to public and ask Congress for help.

But as Senator Chuck Grassley is discovering – he is being stonewalled and stymied by Eric Holder at Obama’s IN-Justice Department at every step and turn.

Like the idiots they are, the GOP made a fatal blunder in thinking they could negotiate in good faith with Marxists hell-bent on turning the country upside down.  Like morons with no clue of the nature of a wolf, they thought if they spoon fed the beast – the beast would cooperate in the name of justice.  Eric Holder’s Justice Department that is.  See, Grassley and his clueless cadre of Republicans on the Judiciary Committee actually believed that if they confirmed James Cole as Deputy Atty General, Eric Holder promised to stop the stonewall and provide the information they requested.  Idiots, played for fools as they are finding out:

But Holder’s Department of Justice has stonewalled since Cole was approved in June, the senior senator from Iowa said.

“We’re getting inadequate answers,” he said. “The inadequacy of the answers is a violation of the agreement that we have with the attorney general that we will get all of our questions and sub-questions answered fully, based upon the deal that we made that I would let the nomination for the deputy attorney general move through the Senate.

“Until they did that, I wasn’t going to let it move and that leveraged them to make this agreement with us and they aren’t even following their own agreement with us.”

This is what happens when you negotiate in good faith with a wolf.  It deceives you, then eats you.

Grassley better recognize this fact quick: the Obama regime WILL NOT provide anything that will be used against it.  They will stonewall, obfuscate, destroy and delete anything that points to Obama and Holder being involved in this insidious plot.  Minions will be forced to fall on their swords before any attempt at justice reaches the arms of those two.  Bank on that.

You will need to follow the existing evidence Senator, even in terms of circumstance and timeline.

Obama began this odyssey  when he blamed America for all the gun violence in Mexico back before he was even sworn in, and publicly when he met with Mexican Presidente Calderone in 2009:

The “90% of US guns were used in Mexican crimes” was a proven bogus number Obama pulled out of thin air, one that this Operation Gunwalker sought to pad in favor of Obama’s insistence for the apparent purpose of shoving gun control measures down the throats of the American people.   Obama and his regime probably figured that by showcasing cartel murders from U.S. guns used in Mexico and against border patrol agents, the American public would go along with new restrictions on firearms ownership inside the USA.  They of course never being told that all those guns were sold by the ATF to drug cartels for the purpose of changing the political climate towards guns in this country.

Then, Obama and the Democrats actually earmarked money and use of  taxpayer stimulus funds to purchase guns specifically for Gunwalker for the purpose of putting them into the hands of the cartels:

 ‘For an additional amount for ‘State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance’, $40,000,000, for competitive grants to provide assistance and equipment to local law enforcement along the Southern border and in High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas to combat criminal narcotics activity stemming from the Southern border, of which $10,000,000 shall be transferred to ‘Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses’ for the ATF Project Gunrunner.’

Then Obama signed that into law – and the funds were used as appropriated – and guns flowed like water into the hands of the drug cartels in Mexico – all-the-while the ATF, FBI and other alphabets were ordered to let them go and pretend not to notice.

The motive, the conspiracy and the massive cover-up now ongoing, overshadows by exponential degrees, a little break-in that brought down the Richard Nixon Presidency.

Can we dare hope that a scandal even more insidious and treasonous would have similar consequences?

 

 

Obama Thinks We Won’t Notice Or That We Don’t Care

Using taxpayer money to buy and sell guns to arm Mexican Drug Cartels; using Solyndra as a money laundering operation with TARP funds; picking an ex-Google Exec from a town hall audience who pleads for his taxes to be raised – Obama thinks he can continue to fool us all with impunity.

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.  Fool us a third time?  Get re-elected?  There are more tricks and scandalous treats from this regime on a daily basis than you find on Halloween at your average college frat house.  Obama apparently thinks that continuous attempts to bamboozle, lie, obfuscate and otherwise whitewash his misdeeds in front of the American people, is a sign that he is a fit enough politician to be elected as emperor for life.

Either that, or Obama is beginning to crack up under the pressure of trying to keep the lid on the pressure cooker of scandal, lies and guffaws his regime has ignited to the boiling point.  Such a case with a hubris narcissist running the country can be more than dangerous.

In a case of covering -up treason, the propaganda media and the Obama regime are not commenting about the facts in the Gunwalker scandal that funneled guns to Mexican drug lords for the purpose of getting them used on Americans so as to circumvent, infringe and perhaps abolish the Second Amendment. New evidence shows that the Obama regime used taxpayer funds to buy and sell weapons that were sent to Mexican drug cartels. As Fox reported:

Not only did U.S. officials approve, allow and assist in the sale of more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa cartel — the federal government used taxpayer money to buy semi-automatic weapons, sold them to criminals and then watched as the guns disappeared.

This disclosure, revealed in documents obtained by Fox News, could undermine the Department of Justice’s previous defense that Operation Fast and Furious was a “botched” operation where agents simply “lost track” of weapons as they were transferred from one illegal buyer to another.

…In June 2010, however, the ATF dramatically upped the ante, making the U.S. government the actual “seller” of guns.

Of course the fact that most Americans don’t know about, or don’t care that these weapons were then used to kill American cops and border agents like Brian Terry, is the one big kahuna Eric Holder’s INJustice Department is counting on for the regime to continue playing it’s plausible deniability game with no real fear of an accounting of what they tried to do.

Then there’s the question about what happened to all the billions of TARP II bailouts since we’re learning that part of it was ordered to be given to faux-front ‘green energy’ business Solyndra that simply laundered the money and resent it back into Democrat’s campaign war chests.

Not only did Solyndra’s execs take the 5th Amendment before a Congressional panel looking into the scandal, documents reveal that the California Democrat Party was listed as a CREDITOR to the now bankrupt company, that refuses to say what it did with all the millions of taxpayer dollars Obama’s regime ordered our government to give them.

Why California Democrats would be creditor to a company that received more than a half-billion dollars in federal loans to build a solar-panel plant isn’t clear. Even party officials say they’re not sure.

Just two years ago, the company received federal loan guarantees of more than $500 million, money it burned through but hasn’t repaid. Because of a subsequent loan restructuring, taxpayers won’t be repaid before the private investors who poured $75 million into the company earlier this year as it tried to stay afloat.

Those of us paying attention and reading through all the Barbara Streisand understand that this was just a good old fashioned mob-ish Chicago-style money laundering operation.  But of course for a huge chunk of Americans who get their news from a cable comedy network , would have no clue what is really going on.  And Obama is counting on that level of woeful ignorance to keep him in the White House and out of prison for fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud.

And if you thought those feats of magic and obfuscation for money laundering and treason were impressive, then something as benign as staging a campaign question for consumption by the useless eaters who vote is almost amateur.  But it does showcase the unwaning arrogance and incredible in-our-face manipulation Obama thinks he can get away with.

Right before NerObama let some truth slip from his lips about Jews being janitors, or that janitors should pay less taxes than Jews – or whatever slogans Obama learned from Reverend Jeremiah Wright from 20 years as a member, His Heinous supposedly picks a ‘random’ member of the audience to ask a question, and BEHOLD! Miracle of miracles! – Obama miraculously gets a “Please raise my taxes” multi-millionaire puppet, who adds himself as a theater prop to Obama’s ridiculous war on the “rich” since he began his outrageous Joint Session of Congressional Campaign Rally:

Politico (the White House Propaganda Office) asserts that Obama made a “lucky pick”.

Oh really?

What are the odds that Obama can pick at ‘random’ from the crowd when supposedly ‘put on the spot’, a rich multi-millionaire former Google Exec who gave more than 230,000 in campaign contributions to the Democrats, to have him spew the current Obama campaign “Buffet Rule Mantra”??  Obama seems to have more ‘luck’ picking at ‘random’ those who lend their credence to Obama’s preaching than actors lined up on the altar at a Benny Hinn Crusade.

This would be almost funny if it was not so dangerous to our liberty and perhaps even our lives.  A ruler who thinks he can get away with committing crimes, fraud, lies, treason and deliberately staged theater for public acceptance of his dictates, simply because he thinks we won’t notice or don’t care, is every measure of a tyrant.

Does Obama really think we’re this stupid – or is he correct to assume the majority of Americans don’t care?

If it’s the latter, prepare for tyrannical doom.

The Fed Plans to Identify “Bloggers” & Monitor All Social Network Conversations

The Federal Reserve is upset so many Americans are dissing them in private discussions, so they want to find a ‘solution’ to that problem.

On the heels of Obama’s embarrassing ‘Attack Watch’ website that asks Americans to snitch on and report other Americans that disagree with Obama to the White House, Ben Bernanke decides that he can play that game also and submits a proposal to develop a “Social Listening Platform”; a ‘system’ to monitor and collect data of anyone sharing negative sentiments about the Federal Reserve from all internet discussions.

Tyler Durden from Zero Hedge broke the story and it’s being analyzed all over the net this weekend.  One of the key aspects in the proposal listed from the Fed’s RFP are:

Social media listening platforms are solutions that gather data from various social media outlets and news sources.  They monitor billions of conversations and generate text analytics based on predefined criteria.  They can also determine the sentiment of a speaker or writer with respect to some topic or document.
The information gathered can guide the organizations public relations group in assessing the effectiveness of communication strategies.

Here are some of the services it can offer:

o Track reach and spread of your messages and press releases     
o Handle crisis situations     
o Continuously monitor conversations     
o Identify and reach out to key bloggers and influencers     
o Spot emerging trends, discussions themes and topics    

B. Content and Data Types

The solution must be able to gather data from the primary social media platforms –Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Forums and YouTube. It should also be able to aggregate data from various media outlets such as: CNN, WSJ, Factiva etc.

Of course they do not spell out what they intend to DO to all that data they collect from those platforms, or what they intend to do after identifying “Key bloggers” and “influencers” who negatively report on the doings of the Fed – but given the history of tyrannical regimes with similar proposals, what they do to individuals and groups that they discover are less than praiseworthy of them – usually fills mass graves and political prisons.

 

 

High Food Prices? You ‘Aint Seen Nothing Yet!

Growing fuel instead of food is stupid – unless starving the people into government submission is a goal.

I normally don’t blog on economics, leaving that expertise to my friend John Galt FL over at Shenendoah, who has plenty to say about our collapsing economy.

However, if you’ve gone grocery shopping recently, the shock of your bill might leave you in need of medical attention as food prices are skyrocketing.  The high cost of food has it’s roots in political mandate and bureaucracy and I want to address that in light of a potential famine our own government will be responsible for.

The price of vegetables is near ridiculous.  The price of corn and cereals made from corn is absolutely absurd.  Peanuts and peanut butter prices are insane.  Massive crop failures from an overwet and stormy Spring were outdone by a record-breaking massive drought in Texas and Oklahoma.  But crop failures from bad weather are not the sole cause of food hyperinflation.

Government is.

You heard me right. The Federal government of the United States is engaged in crop policy that will be remembered as either short-sighted idiocy, or horrifying insidiousness.  I’m going with the latter.  Our own Federal behemoth of a government, is responsible for the skyrocketing balloon of food prices, either by sheer stupidity or by design.

How can I say that?

Simple, this government is mandating nearly half of our corn crop must be used to produce Ethanol to meet federal government fuel standards.  No thinking person assumes growing fuel in a depression is a wise decision unless the consequences of doing so are a desired effect.

We’re growing fuel instead of food by government mandate and incentive.  As a result of the exploding corn prices, livestock producers and dairy farmers are going out of business and those that remain, are saying that already-inflated prices must rise another 20% just for farmers just to break even.

Since it’s now policy for government to swing in to ‘bail out’ whomever is screaming about hurting – is it too much of a stretch to say that a giant public outcry over food prices would open the door for the Obama regime to collectivize farms?  I mean, Stalin did that in the Ukraine in the 1920′s to supposedly ease the burden of food prices in the Soviet Union.  He ended up starving over 20 million people to death.

The Obama/Democrat playbook is no secret: create as much misery and pain so as the people cry out for something to be done – and then the government takes over the target of blame.

Even the NY Post is reporting on the pain at the food store.

Getting slammed at the supermarket

Isn’t that special?  Our own government is engineering a famine in our own land.  Stupidity, or something else?

Historically – tyrannical regimes use food as a weapon to starve their people into submission.  From a political point-of-view, the Democrat/Socialist model in America is to increase the dependents on government welfare in order to grow the power of the State.

More people on welfare and dependency, means more votes for Obama and the Marxists.  Human nature and scripture tell us that a man will sell his own birthright for a bowl of soup when he is hungry.  A fact of life not lost on those working to fundamentally transform the nation.  In fact, they are counting on it when their push comes to shove.

Between now and that point however, we get to be put on a forced fast, because as our dollar shrinks in value and prices skyrocket – the price of everything will climb into the stratosphere.

Something this blog has noted has been a goal of the current regime sitting on the throne of power.

Nothing you own, especially the wealth in your bank account, belongs to you.

According to Obama’s former economic policy advisor Elizabeth Warren, Class Warfare does not exist because all your wealth and property was obtained because of everyone else – so everyone else deserves a share of your wealth and property, and it is YOUR responsibility to “pay it forward” to those who may not have had any direct involvement in what you have and own.

I’m going to tear her tripe down line by line, because while it may sound good to those who are ignorant of how America is supposed to work, this is pure Maoist groupthink:

 

Okay – it’s my turn to cut this broad’s assertions down to size:

“I hear all this, you know, ‘Well, this is class warfare, this is whatever. No. There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own — nobody.

In the mind of a Marxist like Warren here, what you own and have belongs to the State – because they assert it is the State, the Collective, that enables you to have anything.  Therefore you OWE the State whatever the State deems you must surrender.  Be it your wealth, your property, your children, your life.  From Each according to their ability – TO each according to his need as determined by the State.

“You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for.

Listen lady – how many government permits, fees and government studies did he have to pay for to get “permission” to even build his factory in the first place?  How much government regulation make up his operating costs before there is one cent of profit?  As to moving goods on the roads – I’m sure the factory owner paid, like the rest of us – the taxes collected to pay for those roads.  Does he not get to share in the benefits of that ‘investment’ (as Marxists call taxes) like the rest of us?  In fact lady, I bet the factory owner PAYS MORE in taxes for the roads than the rest of us pay for.  What kind of extra fees and taxes does his truck fleet have to pay that us regular SUV drivers do not?  Like all Marxists, you create the lie in people’s minds that the rich ‘business owners’ make their money off the backs of the proletariat while paying nothing.  That IS Class Warfare lady.

You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate.

You mean the Teachers Unions?  Your Communist Comrades?  Again – I’m sure the business owner pays the property taxes that fund the schools – MORESO than your average apartment dweller Democrat supporter does.  And what about the college educated?  Did the State educate them also or did they pay for their own tuition?  Again – you are trying to create the lie that the proletariat paid for the education of these workers and the business owner is just reaping benefits off Joe and Jane Sixpack’s backs.

You were safe in your factory because of police-forces and fire-forces that the rest of us paid for.

Property Taxes again lady.  The factory owner pays more than most of us combined for the police and fire protection they benefit from.  Most home owners in municipalities with a large industrial base have a smaller property tax bill that pays for police and fire, because the businesses pay the larger share.

You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory

No.  The factory owner has to worry about marauding government bureaucrats that will tax him out of business or  IRS thugs that will come and seize everything at his factory upon an audit.  He also has to worry about appeasing the race and poverty pimps so he isn’t sued into bankruptcy, and pay off the Union Mob bosses who can and will shut his factory down – via violence if necessary, and/or run it out of business to mandate the owner pay for benefits that price the factory’s product out of range of the free market.  That is to say nothing of ‘flash mobs’ that are being stoked by Marxist politicians like yourself to believe that they have the right to raid and steal from any business if they feel like it.

— and hire someone to protect against this — because of the work the rest of us did.

The “work” the rest of us did?  Listen toots, I didn’t do a damn thing to enable a business owner to hire security or pay more in taxes for the local police department.  But because your religion is of the “Collective” like the Borg from Star Trek – you assert no one has a right to anything they have, were it not for the “work” of everyone else.  Therefore – in Marxist Groupthink – they are owed a share that the state determines needs to be redistributed.

But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”

I do not find any “underlying” Marxist contract or structure in the Constitution of the United States or the Declaration of Independence.  Just because you Marxists assert legal sounding terms such as ‘social contract’ and social justice’ means diddly squat, because you are perpetrating a fraud, a scam, and ultimately Class Warfare for political takeover of private property – which is treason in my estimation.

Morons like this Warren broad are epidemic in the Obama regime which seeks to empower the state over all wealth and property in the United States.  And they will assert your property and wealth does not belong to you alone – but to the Collective that allows you to have what you have.

And – when it is decided, the Collective will empower the state to take what you have for the good of the collective.

After all, what you now own is not yours in the first place – but theirs. Their benevolence has allowed you to benefit from everyone else’s work and they can demand your “Shared sacrifice” anytime they deem it necessary.

Solyndra – Crony Capitalism? WORSE – It’s More Like Soviet Fascism

Obama has melded aspects of both systems together to give us corruption on a national scale only banana republics used to be able to hold a candle to.

I just love the way SadHill News tells it like it needs to be told: without any punches and with full sarcasm and disdain for the kind of institutionalized corruption usually limited to the province of despotic island regimes.  You just HAVE to check out their blog on this sickening and in-our-face fascism to get the full feel of the giant Obama middle finger shoved up our collective taxpayer butts.

But before I snip a few relevant and brilliant points made there – I want to make a notation about a term the talk radioheads and pundits are using in regards to this scandal, and correct a gross misapplication of that term.

Most of the talk radio hosts I’ve heard have referred to the Obama/Solyndra scandal as a pure example of ‘crony capitalism’.  I’m offended by that usage, because what Obama has done there is not a bastardization of Capitalism, but the implementation of something far more sinister.

One thing the Left has done, is to hijack our language and set their own terms of definement; ”Investments’ now refer to tax increases.  ”Terrorists and racists” refers to Conservative Americans and so on.

So the talk radio hosts, from Rush Limbaugh, to my hero Mark Levin – have made reference to this Solyndra scandal as ‘crony capitalism’.  Even Sarah Palin made the remark that the Obama regime is “Crony Capitalism on Steroids”.

I beg to disagree, what Obama is doing- is not ‘crony capitalism’.  Doing so suggests that Capitalism in itself is an easily bastardized and manipulated system, and it’s what gives fuel to those who suggest America’s very foundation was founded on a flawed system.  The Solyndra scandal, and everything from the nationalization of GM to ObamaCare  is Fascist Sovietism or Crony Socialism if you like.  It has NOTHING to do with Capitalism, or free markets.  It’s a version of Chicagoland graft and kickbacks but with an insidious twist: the institutionalized implementation of Fascism melded with attributes of raw Socialist Sovietism.

And it’s in the open.  Hiding in plain sight, in-our-faces.  Not even the Chicago Union mobs are as brazen about their corruption as Obama’s regime is demonstrating.

Because they don’t care.  It’s not about corruption anymore.

This is about the transformation of our entire society.

Because this is about a revolution to bury our society.  To take over and dictate that this is how business is done and handled by government dictat.

Want to keep your company?  Better play Obama’s game and contribute to his regime – or you will end up like Gibson Guitars.

And Obama has waged it in plain view, and brazenly.

He has implemented, with our consent and some mild opposition – Fascism under the usual Marxist guises of fairness, security, global warming, and Social Justice.

That’s how Soviet-styled Fascism works.  Obama TAKES taxpayer funds, to give it to those who support HIS campaign and WALA!  Free White House lodging, and a Politburo using Alphabet agencies furiously to destroy all the industries Obama has targeted to be replaced.  Made in USA companies that do not donate to Democrats – wiped out, while those who contribute to the Party are protected. Cheap, efficient energy sources in the country forced into bankruptcy so as to force us all into solar and wind power by dictate of the state.  I don’t know how you get crony Capitalism out of that.  That’s raw Soviet Fascism on parade.

The president of the United States — someone who is running for the president of the United States in the Republican Party should not be parroting what Osama bin Laden said on 9/11. ….[full transcript here].

After rejecting Santorum’s thesis, Paul made his fatal blunder:

Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda have been explicit — they have been explicit, and they wrote and said that we attacked America because you had bases on our holy land in Saudi Arabia, you do not give Palestinians fair treatment, and you have been bombing — [audience booing] I didn’t say that. I’m trying to get you to understand what the motive was behind the bombing.

This exchange clearly revealed Paul’s lack of knowledge concerning the nature of the enemy. After all, it’s one thing for some Americans to believe that the source of all conflict is the United State’s presence in some countries, it’s quite another — it’s dangerous — for a potential president to think, and speak, this way.

I submit that it is not only dangerous, but beyond foolish and borderline treasonous to be parroting the taking points of the Islamic enemy as the cassus belli as their justification to slaughter over 3,000 innocent American civilians using civilian airliners as missiles.  That a presidential candidate uses the Al Qaeda statement of justification for 9-11 as a reason to blame ourselves for the attack and therefore change our foreign policy as a result is beyond forgiveness.  Such thinking would demand we apologize to the Imperial Japanese for provoking their bombing of Pearl Harbor because our naval base there threatened their Pacific expansion.  Ron Paul would have us apologize to Al Qaeda for provoking them into attacking us because we had troops in a nation he was exiled from at the invitation of the Saudi government.

The article continues:

Ironically, Paul even contradicted himself: minutes earlier, when discussing the need to cut back on the military, he complained that we had a military presence in 130 countries — bringing to mind the question: why haven’t these countries lashed out [against us the way Al Qaeda has then]?

And that’s a crucial point Ron Paul never addresses – that our bases exist at the invitation or welcome of the local governments that host us or by agreements signed as a consequence of conflict to prevent further conflict or threat upon American interests.    Mr. Ibrahim goes on:

But what’s worse is Paul’s naivety — that he would actually swallow and regurgitate verbatim the propaganda al-Qaeda has been dishing for years: thus “Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda have been explicit — they have been explicit, and they wrote and said”; and “I’m trying to get you to understand what the motive was behind the bombing.”

Did it never occur to the congressman that al-Qaeda could be, um, lying? Had he bothered to juxtapose al-Qaeda’s propaganda to the West — which indeed does amount to blaming U.S. foreign policy for their terrorism — with the otherthings “they wrote and said,” he would have learned their ultimate motives.

For example, for all his talk that U.S. “occupation” is the heart of the problem, shortly after the 9/11 strikes, Osama bin Laden wrote to fellow Muslims:

Our talks with the infidel West and our conflict with them ultimately revolve around one issue — one that demands our total support, with power and determination, with one voice — and it is: Does Islam, or does it not, force people by the power of the sword to submit to its authority corporeally if not spiritually? Yes. There are only three choices in Islam: [1] either willing submission [conversion]; [2] or payment of the jizya, through physical, though not spiritual, submission to the authority of Islam; [3] or the sword — for it is not right to let him [an infidel] live. The matter is summed up for every person alive: Either submit, or live under the suzerainty of Islam, or die. (The Al Qaeda Reader, p. 42)

This medieval threefold choice, then — conversion, subjugation, or the sword — is the ultimate source of conflict, not U.S foreign policy (see also “Reciprocal Treatment or Religious Obligation,” which compares al-Qaeda’s messages to the West with its internal messages to Muslims, documenting all the contradictions).

Ron Paul rejects these facts often cited to him and his supporters in favor of his own talking point insistence that the ONLY reason Jihadists wage war is because we “are over there”, or if they are provoked somehow.

Apparently Ron Paul does not believe in the freedom of speech or the press if appeasing Jihadists is a primary factor in determining America’s foreign policy.  After all, if a Danish cartoon can incite a Jihadist attack, then Ron Paul’s “Do not provoke them” approach to foreign policy means our own Constitutionally-protected rights are subservient to those of Islam.   It’s a sickeningly silly and appeasement position repeated like a parrot, over and over again, as if he keeps repeating it – it will be accepted as the truth.  A cursory study of Jihadist Islam and what motivates the global movement for a Caliphate negates Ron Paul’s willful ignorance of this enemy and it’s another indictment about why Ron Paul should never be president.  He should go back to the Libertarian Party where pacifist theory belongs.

Obama Site Asks Americans To Report Any URL’s, Blogs, Articles, or Forum Posts, That Are Negative Towards Dear Leader.

The Gestapo.  The Stasi.  The NKVD.

Obama has new orders for his “Army”.  He wants Americans to “report” any sites and URLS that have any negative thoughts towards Obama that can be deemed ‘attacks’ on his policies and statements. These reports are filed directly to the White House via a new Obama 2012 web site where the agent, acting on behalf of the interests of The Regime can report to the Gestap…errr…Stasi….err the Ministers of Truth – yeah that’s it – so they can “correct” the ‘smears’, ‘lies’ and ‘distortions’.

Attack Watch and Attack Wire are two new weapons offerings for the Marxists to use in their continued ‘revolution’.  Presented in glorious red, black and white in a neo-throwback to 1930′s Fascist and Soviet era propaganda, the new site reflects the totalitarian look and feel from which such snitch programs were born.

Given the recent ‘See Something, Say Something’ campaign that depicts White ‘Tea Party-type’ persons engaged in planting bombs, this is just another escalation of the meme that is trying to get Americans to turn on Obama’s political opponents.  Intimidation is certainly part of the Chicago Thug Way.  I imagine sometime real soon, Guido and some Chicago Union thugs are going to show up and kindly ask for retractions of our political opinions and speech that is not flattering to their chosen messiah.  This is how tyranny works folks.

I say they can pound sand.

They tried doing a similar Snitch Program like this once before in 2009, that directed reports of lies/smears about ObamaCare to flag@whitehouse.gov  - and it was determined that such a program was  illegal if it collects data on those whom disagree with the President.

As if attempting to limit the ridicule of this Nazi-era Stalinist and Soviet snitch program can make it look as if Obama only suffers ridicule from America’s domestic terrorists: the Conservatives.

After all, it only goes to figure that Americans who go all out for a dumb flag – would also be the ones to ridicule a site intended to stop the dissing of our first monarch.

Let’s Roll – Over

It’s official.  America has become a nation of touchy-feely french wannabe wimps.  At least if one judges how in the 10 years since 9-11 we as a society regard the worst act of war against us since December 7, 1941.

Unlike our grandparents – we lack the fortitude to war on our enemies until they surrender on our terms.

Today, we make Peace Quilts, Wish Trees and lecture against Islamophobia and ‘bullying’ while recycling and think we honor those killed by our enemies.

Osama Bin Laden was right if one judges our current idiocracy in regards to the 10 year 9-11 commemoration: America no longer has guts, stamina or a willingness to fight.  Bin Laden estimated our nation would fold like an accordion once engaged with Jihadist Islam and succumb to emotional demands for ‘closure’, which would then signal that the West was ready to be wiped out or Dhimmied.

Mark Steyn hits a homer in this analysis of our wussified culture and it’s debasement of a day that should recall the horrors of what our enemies are capable of – and what we must have steel resolve to annihilate.

Instead, this 10 year anniversary has been a lesson in French capitulation.  Thanks Mark, for saying with humor what many of us are embarrassed to acknowledge about ourselves.

We retreat to equivocation, cultural self-loathing, and utterly fraudulent misrepresentation of 9/11

Waiting to be interviewed on the radio the other day, I found myself on hold listening to a public-service message exhorting listeners to go to 911day.org and tell their fellow citizens how they would be observing the tenth anniversary of the, ah, “tragic events.” There followed a sound bite of a lady explaining that she would be paying tribute by going and cleaning up an area of the beach.

Great! Who could object to that? Anything else? Well, another lady pledged that she “will continue to discuss anti-bullying tactics with my grandson.”

Marvelous. Because studies show that many middle-school bullies graduate to hijacking passenger jets and flying them into tall buildings?

Whoa, ease up on the old judgmentalism there, pal. In New Jersey, many of whose residents were among the dead, middle-schoolers will mark the anniversary with a special 9/11 curriculum that will “analyze diversity and prejudice in U.S. history.” And, if the “9/11 Peace Story Quilt” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art teaches us anything, it’s that the “tragic events” only underline the “importance of respect.” And “understanding.” As one of the quilt panels puts it:

You should never feel left out

You are a piece of a puzzle

And without you

The whole picture can’t be seen.

And if that message of “healing and unity” doesn’t sum up what happened on Sept. 11, 2001, what does? A painting of a plane flying into a building? A sculpture of bodies falling from a skyscraper? Oh, don’t be so drearily literal. “It is still too soon,” says Midori Yashimoto, director of the New Jersey City University Visual Arts Gallery, whose exhibition “Afterwards & Forward” is intended to “promote dialogue, deeper reflection, meditation, and contextualization.” So, instead of planes and skyscrapers, it has Yoko Ono’s “Wish Tree,” on which you can hang little tags with your ideas for world peace.

What’s missing from these commemorations?

Firemen?

Oh, please. There are some pieces of the puzzle we have to leave out. As Mayor Bloomberg’s office has patiently explained, there’s “not enough room” at the official Ground Zero commemoration to accommodate any firemen. “Which is kind of weird,” wrote the Canadian blogger Kathy Shaidle, “since 343 of them managed to fit into the exact same space ten years ago.” On a day when all the fancypants money-no-object federal acronyms comprehensively failed — CIA, FBI, FAA, INS — the only bit of government that worked was the low-level unglamorous municipal government represented by the Fire Department of New York. When they arrived at the World Trade Center the air was thick with falling bodies — ordinary men and women trapped on high floors above where the planes had hit, who chose to spend their last seconds in one last gulp of open air rather than die in an inferno of jet fuel. Far “too soon” for any of that at New Jersey City University, but perhaps you could reenact the moment by filling out a peace tag for Yoko Ono’s “Wish Tree” and then letting it flutter to the ground.

Upon arrival at the foot of the towers, two firemen were hit by falling bodies. “There is no other way to put it,” one of their colleagues explained. “They exploded.”

Any room for that on the Metropolitan Museum’s “Peace Quilt”? Sadly not. We’re all out of squares.

What’s that — a quilting technique?

No, what’s missing from these commemorations is more Muslims. The other day I bumped into an old BBC pal who’s flying in for the anniversary to file a dispatch on why you see fewer women on the streets of New York wearing niqabs and burqas than you do on the streets of London. She thought this was a telling indictment of the post-9/11 climate of “Islamophobia.” I pointed out that, due to basic differences in immigration sources, there are far fewer Muslims in New York than in London. It would be like me flying into Stratford-on-Avon and reporting on the lack of Hispanics. But the suits had already approved the trip, so she was in no mood to call it off.

How are America’s allies remembering the real victims of 9/11? “Muslim Canucks Deal with Stereotypes Ten Years After 9/11,” reports CTV in Canada. And it’s a short step from stereotyping to criminalizing. “How the Fear of Being Criminalized Has Forced Muslims into Silence,” reports the Guardian in Britain. In Australia, a Muslim terrorism suspect was so fearful of being criminalized and stereotyped in the post-9/11 epidemic of paranoia that he pulled a Browning pistol out of his pants and hit Sgt. Adam Wolsey of the Sydney constabulary. Fortunately, Judge Leonie Flannery acquitted him of shooting with intent to harm on the grounds that “‘anti-Muslim sentiment’ made him fear for his safety,” as Sydney’s Daily Telegraph reported on Friday. That’s such a heartwarming story for this 9/11 anniversary they should add an extra panel to the peace quilt, perhaps showing a terror suspect opening fire on a judge as she’s pronouncing him not guilty and then shrugging off the light shoulder wound as a useful exercise in healing and unity.

What of the 23rd Psalm? It was recited by Flight 93 passenger Todd Beamer and the telephone operator Lisa Jefferson in the final moments of his life before he cried, “Let’s roll!” and rushed the hijackers.

No, sorry. Aside from firemen, Mayor Bloomberg’s official commemoration hasn’t got any room for clergy, either, what with all the Executive Deputy Assistant Directors of Healing and Outreach who’ll be there. One reason why there’s so little room at Ground Zero is because it’s still a building site. As I write in my new book, 9/11 was something America’s enemies did to us; the ten-year hole is something we did to ourselves — and in its way, the interminable bureaucratic sloth is surely as eloquent as anything Nanny Bloomberg will say in his remarks.

In Shanksville, Pa., the zoning and permitting processes are presumably less arthritic than in Lower Manhattan, but the Flight 93 memorial has still not been completed. There were objections to the proposed “Crescent of Embrace” on the grounds that it looked like an Islamic crescent pointing towards Mecca. The defense of its designers was that, au contraire, it’s just the usual touchy-feely huggy-weepy pansy-wimpy multiculti effete healing diversity mush. It doesn’t really matter which of these interpretations is correct, since neither of them has anything to do with what the passengers of Flight 93 actually did a decade ago. 9/11 was both Pearl Harbor and the Doolittle Raid rolled into one, and the fourth flight was the only good news of the day, when citizen volunteers formed themselves into an ad hoc militia and denied Osama bin Laden what might have been his most spectacular victory. A few brave individuals figured out what was going on and pushed back within half an hour. But we can’t memorialize their sacrifice within a decade. And when the architect gets the memorial brief, he naturally assumes that there’s been a typing error and that “Let’s roll!” should really be “Let’s roll over!”

And so we commemorate an act of war as a “tragic event,” and we retreat to equivocation, cultural self-loathing, and utterly fraudulent misrepresentation about the events of the day. In the weeks after 9/11, Americans were enjoined to ask, “Why do they hate us?” A better question is: “Why do they despise us?” And the quickest way to figure out the answer is to visit the Peace Quilt and the Wish Tree, the Crescent of Embrace and the Hole of Bureaucratic Inertia.

Why We Fight – 9-11 Remembered/Meet My Little Friend

On the 10th Anniversary of the 9-11 Attacks, I decided to link to a video done back in 2007 in gratitude for brothers fighting on the front lines, as our own political discourse in the USA became muddled with the anti-war/Code Pink/Ron Paul protesters. The morale of our troops was dispiriting when they read what was happening back home.  My impetus was to give them a boost and let them know there are plenty of us who understand why they are there fighting, how long Islam has been waging war on the USA, and how much we are praying for their mission, and their safe return home after destroying the enemy.
