The Church’s Failed Influence Of Maintaining American Culture

abandoned-church

Christian freedom is fading in America, and soon the faith itself will be shoved underground by an oppressive government where only the doctrines of the state are allowed to be preached.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

” Where there is no religion, there is no morality…With the loss of religion…the ultimate foundation of confidence is blown up; and of life, liberty and property are buried in ruins” – Timothy Dwight

I’ve been crying aloud the warning for years that the church in America was losing it’s salt and influence in maintaining our culture.  Sadly, when speaking about this topic at myriad churches and public rallies and events – the vast majority of Christians are disinterested.  In counties where the Ten Commandments were threatened to be removed, asking pastors of hundreds of churches to come and lead the community in prayer were met with silence and indifference.  Some did not want to “rock the boat” by appearing to be ‘political’.   In one county alone, after contacting over 100 Christian churches – only 1 pastor came.  That should have been my wake up call that the Christian church in America was fading into irrelevance.  For if those that pay their Savior lip service each week would not stand on the bedrock of His Word as the foundation of our civil society – why should I expect the church to stand against state-imposed homosexual marriage and homosexual doctrine being forced upon society?

As it is – the greater Christian church itself sat in decades of ridiculous prosperity and riches while the nation practiced infanticide, killing hundreds of MILLIONS of babies murdered in the womb.  An entire generation of Americans murdered in the most precious and safest place that God ordained, simply for the sake of convenience for a hedonistic people to have illicit sex without consequences.  The churches by and large?  They hear, see and speak no evil against the evil being practiced in their midst.

Are Christians become as biblically illiterate and ignorant as the secular hedonists?  Do we think we will not be held to account for losing this gift of liberty and allowing such evil to go unchallenged? Do Christians now believe their is no judgment for their indifference and apathy?

I believe that it is the tiny remnant of Christians that have not turned their heads and have stood in the gap, that God has not judged the nation prevented it to suffer in collapse and ruin by the heinous weight of it’s national sins.  But scripture is clear – at some point the cup of iniquity overflows, and even God’s anointed would suffer along with a nation of people that were called by His Name – that refused to repent and do those things that God expected His people to be doing in the first place.

When reading a majority of the Founders, they understood that the civil society and liberty itself could only exist if the whole people were a moral and upright people who were self governed by God.  In modern parlance, Christians were intended to be the Jedi Knights of safeguarding the Republic by maintaining watch over the culture and keeping it on the straight and narrow path.  As the church’s influence faded – so too did your liberty and freedom.

And the church itself doesn’t seem to mind – as long as their collection plates keep getting filled and their II Timothy 3 generation of members are entertained with the smooth and easy things their itching ears want to hear.

The American Thinker has nailed the issue of the fading influence of the church in America.

The Church’s Fading Influence on American Culture

By Simon de Hundehutte

It seems people have misunderstood, as well as misrepresented, the church’s role and influence in “secular society.”  The early Christians lived in the secular society of Rome, but by heralding the good news of salvation, what some might call “thumping,” their words along with their deeds changed all of society of their day.  In present-day America, however, secularists have taken over and changed the rules of the debate on so many key cultural issues.

Religion, or more accurately, the Christian way of life, is being shoved out of not only politics but the American culture.  We believers are being forced to accept things anathema to our way of thinking and living — accept them or be labeled “haters” or, more recently, “thumpers.”

Every Christian is keenly aware of the Great Commission, where Jesus commanded, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19).  Christians in the earliest days of the Church did not keep silent about their faith, bringing it with them (and many times at great cost) into the public arena.  St. Paul debated at the illustrious Mars Hill with Greek and Athenian scholars (see Acts, Chapter 17).  Many there, in fact, welcomed his insights and reasoning skills.  Others, including both civic and religious leaders of the day, wanted him to keep his views to himself.

Think about it:  Christianity in a few hundred years after the resurrection of its namesake had changed the entire Roman Empire.  And certainly not by keeping its beliefs bottled up, only to be uncorked for an hour or two every Sunday.  No, the Good News was front-and-center in a believer’s life, sometimes even shouted from the mountaintops (when the spirit so moved).

But, I am afraid the days of free speech for Bible-believing Christians may be quickly winding down.  If the Supreme Court sanctions gay marriage, God and country will both soon fade away.  America will fast become like Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Germany.  It may be that the day is near when any church unwilling to preach the State’s “gospel” will not be allowed to exist.  (Woe to churches which currently meet on public property — in school auditoriums, for example.)

If we Christian’s are no longer able to share what the God of the Universe has revealed to us, how can anyone’s thinking on gay marriage or abortion or taking care of the planet or whatever be shaped or swayed?

I walked past a parked car the other day that was plastered with bumper stickers championing a far-left point of view.  One that especially grabbed my attention said, “The last time religion and politics mixed, People got burned at the stake!”

After pondering this for a second, I thought, I wish I could meet the driver of this car and let him know that a more accurate statement would be, “The last time religion and politics mixed, William Wilberforce freed the slaves.”  It has been Gospel-believing Christians, applying the tenets of the Word of God, who have taken on the huge challenges of humanity and, many times through much personal sacrifice (think martyrs), have freed many from bondage.

In the book of Romans, Paul challenges people to “be transformed by the renewing of your thinking.”  (Romans 12:2).  Will the Christian way of thinking be welcome in the “court of public opinion,” or will we just settle into being a country filled with people who have a bumper-sticker mentality, never having a thought beyond the cleverest saying we can slap onto the tail end of our vehicles.

Obama Demonizes Opposition, Blames Them For What He Set In Motion

ODuce'sRant

A horror of pain and conflict is deliberately being set in motion, and Obama is stoking his mobs to blame Conservatives/Wealthy and White as the cause.

Socialist megalomaniacal despots historically blame targeted groups of people they want exterminated with the misery and angst a people suffer at the very hands of those ruling them.  Obama is  no different in this regard.  His tirade in front of the press yesterday after his intimate golf vacation with Tiger Woods and Reggie Love, was chock full of a madman throwing a tirade who is ingeniously setting up his political enemies to be blamed for the woe and suffering he, himself is initiating.

Like Castro or Chavez, His Heinous takes the podium full of anger and ginned up rage against the Republicans with a prop of cops and emergency personnel as a backdrop and rants against a sequester HE HIMSELF CREATED.  He goes on a tear for over ten minutes and makes outrageous fear-mongering statements and walks off the podium abruptly without so much as allowing the press to ask a single question about his assertions.  Not that they would of course – you can hear them clapping like trained seals at the end of his Mussolini-esque moment.  Diktator Obama, His Heinous in full rulership mode.

With all the poking, prodding and incitement of Americans by this regime upon gun owners to business owners – the open talk is that a conflagration is coming, and soon.  The American Thinker posts an essay wondering aloud whether the forces Obama has unleashed with his actions, he will be able to handle.

I disagree with the premise of Mr. Snyder’s statement that Obama cannot handle what he is setting in motion.

On the contrary.  Marxist revolutionaries destroy existing civilizations and build their totalitarian utopias on the ash heaps of their carcasses and over the bodies of their own people whom are ideological enemies that they exterminate.

I do not eqate blunders or missteps with this regime in power, rather they are the fruits of an agenda-pushing narcissist with visions of genocide and ruin dancing in his head.  Community Organizers (agitators as we knew them in Chicago) often would stoke the mob into action that went beyond their control.  They are masters of setting off explosive conflagrations that get out of control – so that in the fury and firestorm that ensues – reasonable people will settle for terms for a promise from those who set the fire to end the upheaval and bring things back to normal.  It is a  tactic to engender unconditional surrender and capitulation.

The perfect storm that is brewing is being fueled with malice and deliberation.  The desire is for it to consume all and everything – because Obama’s goals are to bring the nation to complete ash and destruction.  I doubt there are any plans he has past that goal, except a possibility of creating a Marxist utopia over the grave of what was once the greatest nation on earth.

President Obama has set in motion forces that he can’t handle

Barack Obama is a terrible president. That’s obvious to everyone who isn’t chronically ignorant or incurably liberal.  By “liberal” I don’t mean the classic definition of the word which has to do with being open-minded and objective. I mean the modern version of liberal: self-centered, emotional, illogical, and void of reason. Unfortunately, in 2012 ignoramuses and liberals represented the majority of those who voted. I’m not worried about offending them with my harsh words. My very existence offends them, and so does yours if you don’t buy into their worldview.

From economic policy to energy policy to environmental policy to foreign affairs to national security to border security to you name it, the president failed the test, but we re-elected him anyway. Obama’s misadventures in the Oval Office are becoming the stuff of legend. Benghazi and Fast and Furious are two of his more high profile blunders, but they aren’t the only ones. If George W. Bush had committed just one of those offenses, the mainstream media would have demanded his head on a platter, but they gave Obama a free pass. The nation as a whole became complicit in the president’s shenanigans because we didn’t demand that he be held accountable.

President Obama has done one thing superbly well: he has demonstrated skill par excellence on a national scale as a community organizer. He is second to none when it comes to inciting, agitating, race baiting, stoking fears, and motivating the masses. If you discount voter fraud, more than anything else, those skills got him re-elected. But like a snowball gathering momentum as it rolls down a hill, the forces that he has unleashed will be impossible to stop without pain and suffering.

For example, Occupy Wall Street’s demands for social justice dovetailed perfectly with the president’s fairness campaign. Was that coincidence or was it by design?  The answer should be obvious, but whatever the case may be, the OWS crowd eventually ran amuck in cities across the fruited plain until government officials finally took action to shut them down.

That’s the way it is with unruly mobs. Once agitators get them started, you never know what will happen. But we do know this: President Obama is their champion, and they are still among us waiting in the wings for another opportunity to vent their frustrations. Will the next version of OWS be more malevolent than the first? Only time will tell, but I wouldn’t rule it out.

OWS types aren’t alone. In the United States today, large and growing numbers of people believe that their mere existence is their contribution to society. They think that those of us who have worked hard all of our lives owe them a living, and not just a living, but a very good living.  The takers among us are easy pickings for a man with exceptional community organizing skills, and as I said, the forces that the president has unleashed will prove to be impossible to control.  If they explode, there will be hell to pay.

Common sense is totally absent in their world. For instance, who would dare to suggest that the 1% who paid almost 40% of federal income taxes in 2010 should pay more because it’s “fair” even though about 50% of our fellow citizens paid no federal income tax?  The answer: Barack Obama and his merry band of malcontents. If George Orwell were alive today, he would be scratching his head and thinking about a mind-bending plot for another novel.

Takers have no misgivings about attaching themselves permanently to the government tit, and they feel no guilt or shame as they scream for more. Obama knows them and their predilections all too well, and he takes advantage of every opportunity to stoke the fires that burn within them.  The president’s mother and his grandparents should have taught him the basics — things like if you play with matches, you will get burned — because the fire that he’s igniting can easily turn into an inferno.  If it does, all of us will pay a very high price.

In due course, simple mathematics will dictate that we can’t afford to keep able bodied men and women on the dole. Our current debt and deficit situation is so dire that something has got to give.  Judging by a recent Gallup poll, most Americans agree with me, but metaphorically speaking, it may take a swift kick in a sensitive area to wake up our elected officials in Washington. Be that as it may, the day is rapidly approaching when no one can ignore our fiscal quagmire because the combination of Medicare, Social Security, and defense spending plus interest on the debt and paying freeloaders threatens to sink this nation.

Reneging on our national debt is out of the question since global pandemonium would ensue.  Obamacare may help to reduce healthcare costs, but when evidence mounts that those “death panels” that we have heard so much about are real and that we are saving money by medicating patients and allowing them to pass away peacefully rather than treating their maladies, people will be hopping mad. Many of them will take to the streets to vent their anger.  If you think that it can’t happen here, you haven’t been paying attention.

Social Security is a special breed of cat because it involves seniors, a powerful voting block, and it is regarded as a national promise that we must not break. Besides, people actually paid in to Social Security as did their employers so it’s an annuity — and not a very good one at that.  Any politician who thinks that he can safely tamper with Social Security isn’t playing with a full deck of cards. Even so, we can’t solve our debt and deficit problems unless we make adjustments in Social Security and Medicare. It’s the quintessential Catch 22.

Similarly, we need to cut defense spending without jeopardizing our national security, but defense reductions translate into job cuts and that creates another set of problems. No matter what we do, people will not be happy with the outcome, and many of them will vent their frustration in the voting booth and possibly on the streets.

This is the point: a perfect storm is brewing. I think we’re heading for a chaotic and violent period in this country the likes of which no one alive today has ever witnessed.  If I’m right, conditions will be ideal for criminals to ply their craft, and President Obama is pushing for gun control at precisely the wrong moment.

I believe that what I have described is realistic and unfortunately inevitable, and that brings me back to my back to the president.  He has set in motion forces that he can’t handle, and all of us are going to suffer the consequences so get ready for a wild ride.

Burned Out By Obama

Obama’s Wave of personality cult is crashing, his star is falling over Chicago.

Two incredible blog entries today that we can only pray and hope is indeed the trend in regards to the most disastrous and destructive President in American history.

First, Daniel Greenfield AGAIN knocks one out of the park – and this may be his finest essay to date.  Spot on analysis of the cultural anomaly that made Obama and the consequences of a fake and manufactured candidate; a nation burned out by Obama.

His entry is required reading start to finish – but here are some outstanding pull quotes:

A Star Falls Over Chicago

Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog

Obama was always a petty man and his campaign has descended into pointless pettiness, into Team Big Bird, binders full of women and bayonets and horses. Like so much hipster culture, it exists so that the participants can entertain each other with something that no one else thinks is funny or clever. And that elitism is precisely the point. It’s the last resort of losers who hide from their lack of taste behind walls of exclusivity.

The Obama Campaign was never serious, but it once aspired to an Oprah level of seriousness, to the dignity of the self-help sections where trite observations are recited with great solemnity so that they sound like they must mean more than they do.

Obama’s seriously intent tone, the one that signals you to pay attention, no longer works on even the faithful. Like Pavlov’s dogs, they have stopped coming once they realized that just because the bell rings doesn’t mean that dinner or a functional economy will be served. The weighty tone that he once used to deploy to great effect, borrowing the tricks of the preachers that he encountered in his huckstering days, has come to seem as empty as Oprah’s smile or Bill Clinton’s sincere head nod, just another of the tricks of hollow public personalities signifying nothing.

For years and years, he has talked and said nothing of any import. All the talk, the endless speeches and addresses, the verbal and facial tics that indicated seriousness of purpose, have never led to one single thing. Not one problem solved, not one crisis resolved and not one plan laid out and completed in four years with something to show for it.

Somewhere along the way, Obama became boring. He became that one man at a party that you don’t want to talk to because he will go on forever and all his chatter leads nowhere, because for all his conversational skills, he is capable of nothing but talk. And after talking to him for ten hours, you don’t know him any better than you did after ten minutes.

Voting for Obama was never the right choice objectively, but it was the right cultural choice, it was the trend, the impulse that everyone seemed to be following, the style that everyone was wearing and the book that everyone was reading. But trends like that don’t last. How many people will have Lady Gaga songs in their players or Fifty Shades of Grey on their bookshelves ten years from now? This too is the fate of the president of the trending topic, the commander-in-chief of the pet rock and the mood ring with his binders full of women and t-shirts with pictures of horses and bayonets on them. A joke that like Snakes on a Plane or All Your Base Are Belong To Us never gets old until 5 minutes later.

Americans escaped to Obama and now they’re escaping from Obama. The vacation was already being cut short in 2012 and now it’s approaching its blackout date. Instead of taking Americans away from everything, Obama took everything away from them, and now they’re gearing up to take it all back and put him on a back shelf next to last summer’s beach reads and last decade’s pop hits.

Obama is over. And confronting his ‘overness’, that deadliest of fates for a hipster, he is crawling back to pander to his original audience, the graphic designers who put together posters of him on their free time, the celebrities who were eager to form his Jack Pack, to be his Joey Bishop or his Marilyn Monroe, the musicians singing about him, the netroots bloggers cranking out their sensations of euphoric immediacy at being in his presence and the professional leftists cheering for him to take down the American Empire like Godzilla took down Tokyo.

Obama has gotten desperate. His fundraising emails walk the thin line between emotional blackmail and hysteria. Increasingly they read like Cousin Larry phoning for bail money from Tijuana. Shrilly needy they demand that we pay attention to him, that we love him, adore him and spend money on him. They are the missives of a man who cannot conceive of a life outside the spotlight, the vapid fear of a celebrity who cannot confront the real world and cannot understand why their public is walking away.

We can only hope that Americans agree with and that the analysis Daniel has put into this essay, bears more positive fruit in ending the long nightmare for America.  Be sure to read all of his essay at the Sultan Knish blog and hopefully, like me – a smile will hit your face as his words sink into the conscience.

The second uplifting essay is from the American Thinker’s C. Edmund Wright who insists Obama’s wave will bust the liberal bubble altogether.

The Wave That Breaks the Liberal Bubble

Can you feel it?

The wave, that is.  I speak of one that will wash away far more than just a failed presidency.  This wave will have the torque to rock the entire liberal bubble — the political/media/crony bubble — leaving it forever exposed.  Ironically, those inside this bubble will be the last to know — which is precisely why it will happen.  Those who would rule over us, and insult us with outrage over Big Bird, academic debate-scoring, “binders” memes, and specious jobs statistics know nothing about us.  This includes those inside the bubble who purport to represent our views.

They really believe this, and they really believe that the world revolves around them.  For years, it did — as most power, communication and information originated inside the bubble.  Three networks, two wires, one cable, and three dailies ruled the bubble and the opinions of the world.  We know the rest: along came Rush, Drudge, Fox, Hannity, Levin, Savage, Beck, and the conservative websites.  Breitbart emerged and inspired millions to embrace tech toys to expose the “racial Marxism” of the Democrat-media complex.  Thanks to the delightful capers of O’Keefe and Giles, we all know ACORN.

Liberal mischief was exposed.  A union thug fakes racism at a Tea Party — it goes viral.  SEIU members confess to being paid to protest — and it goes viral.  A Democrat congressman insults a youngster — it goes viral.  Chris Matthews wets his pants, and it goes viral.  Weiner…well, you know — and it goes viral.  The entire bubble is intellectually naked, and everyone sees the political porn without the networks, cable channels, or newspapers that once controlled access.

In the bubble, where politics is but a game, they miss the cumulative effect of all this.  They have no sense of the undertow pulling on many.

The Board Is Set: Martial Law / Dictatorship

A frightening pattern emerges when looking at some of the over 900 Executive Orders Obama has signed

Genocides and totalitarian oppression almost always happens ‘legally’, that is to say they are established within the appearance and framework of a corrupted legal system that asserts absolute power for the security of the state.  The lessons of the last 100 years provide enough factual evidence to bear that out, especially among regimes that are Socialist or Marxist in ideology.

When knowledgeable about such history and watching the current regime in power speak and act – it is not lost on those of us who are vigilant that a similar frightening pattern is emerging.

That Obama and those in power are Socialist/Marxist/Fascist should no longer be an ‘extremist’ conspiracy theory, but a factual observance given what Obama has recently stated about business owners not creating their enterprise.  What he and the Democrat Party are preaching and priming us for is totalitarian Marxist Fascism.  Witness what Democrat Chuck Schumer (D-NY) stated yesterday on the floor of the Senate:

Now add into this mix the Fast and Furious plot to abolish the Second Amendment and a host of other overt abolishments of the rule of law by this regime, the pattern of a coup takes shape.  In addition, a fail safe to ensure their glorious ‘fundamental transformation’ suffers no setbacks appears when one looks at a host of Obama Executive Orders (over 900 signed since he took office), where an additional pattern takes shape.  A pattern to seize and subjugate by force, every aspect of life in America – from water to food to energy.  All under the guise of an unnamed or specified ‘national emergency’ that the president himself can declare with no review or oversight by Congress and with no clear guidelines on what constitutes such an emergency.

While we have been busy playing the old game of checkers, Obama has reset the board for chess and positioned all the pieces against us for checkmate.  All he needs to do is make one move – and it’s over.

Legally.

Understand what time it is America.

An election in November does nothing to stop any of this…. if we even have an election at this point.  Something indeed beyond coincidence is going on.

The American Thinker picked up on this same concern:

Do Obama’s Executive Orders Reveal A Pattern?

President Barack Hussein “kill list” Obama has offered over 900 Executive Orders (EO), and he is not even through his first term.  He is creating a wonderland of government controls covering everything imaginable, including a list of “Emergency Powers” and martial law EOs.  And while Obama is busy issuing EOs to control everything inside the US, he has been issuing EOs to force us to submit to international regulations instead of our US Constitution.

And comments by North Carolina governor Beverly Perdue and former OMB director Peter Orszag only contribute to this pattern.

Snip:

We’re being prepared  for a national emergency.  Then there’s taking control.  I personally think that what Obama is doing goes way beyond being prepared.

North Carolina governor Beverly Perdue (Democrat), on September 28, 2011, suggested that perhaps elections should be suspended for two years by canceling, until the economy recovers, the 2012 elections. After that remark got the reception it deserved, Pardue’s staff tried to pass it off as a joke.

Former White House director of the Office of Management and Budget Peter Orszag, who, on September 14, 2011, in a The New Republic article entitled “Too Much of a Good Thing: Why we need less democracy,” said that we are that we are hampered by too much democracy, that the constitutional system (not really a democracy) is too slow to react, and the deliberations and negotiations are simply too cumbersome. Orszag suggests that the constitutional rules of limiting government offers impediments to autocratic, dictatorial actions, and are just too great.

That North Carolina governor Perdue would even joke (if it was a joke) about canceling an election is frightening enough, but that Orszag, a former official in Obama’s administration, believes that doing away with the US Constitution is a viable solution should cause every AT reader to quake.

I’m never comfortable with laws that give the government broad reaching powers in the event of a “national emergency,” especially when there is no clear, set, unchangeable definition of what actually constitutes a “national emergency.”

Circumvention of the US Constitution by any means possible is the ultimate goal of Democrats and the Obama administration because the 2012 election is shaping up to be a repeat of the 2010 election.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but these three latest EOs and previous EOs Obama signed, coupled with Perdue’s and Orszag’s comments, suggest that something besides coincidence is going on.

Obama The Despot, The Tyrant, The Evil Lord of African Marxism

Let’s not mince words anymore.  Obama is a despot.  He’s a wannabe tyrant implementing all the machinations of third world communist dictatorial despotism upon this country – and America is letting him get away with it, without so much as a whimper because too many Americans want free stuff and envy and hate anyone who has more than they do.

It’s time we face reality.  A Marxist coup has occurred and the enemies of liberty have taken over the country.  Obama has usurped the Presidency.  His entire presence in the White House is a fraud because he is ineligible according to our Constitution to hold the office.  His entire ideology is anathema to our Foundations and to liberty.  Everything he has done in the last 7 months has been to secure his power and prepare to rule as a dictator with a sycophantic state run media and a complaint Socialist politburo.

How many czars has he appointed?  How many industries has he nationalized?  How much wealth has he confiscated for redistribution?  How many speeches has he given overseas trashing this country in the presence of our enemies??

Why does he think he can live like a king?

Don’t take my word for what Obama is and plans to do (even though if you read his ‘Mein Kampf’ books you would have understood what he planned to do all along).  Take the word of someone who LIVED UNDER the brutal despotism of African Third world despotic Communists.  L.E. Ikenga is a first generation Nigerian who came here in the 1970′s. and is no stranger to Communist despots – and she sees the memories of her past being replayed by Obama like a bad horror movie.

Obama is a despot – and he is moving very fast in achieving absolute power for himself and party of Commie thugs.

She writes:

…Obama has been living on American soil for most of his adult life. Therefore, he has been able to masquerade as one who understands and believes in American democratic ideals. But he does not. Barack Obama is intrinsically undemocratic and as his presidency plays out, this will become more obvious. Second, and most importantly, too many Americans know very little about Africa. The one-size-fits-all understanding that many Americans (both black and white) continue to have of Africa might end up bringing dire consequences for this country.

…AC’s use aspects of their African culture as one would use pieces of costume jewelry: things of little or no value that can be thoughtlessly discarded when they become a negative distraction, or used on a whim to decorate oneself in order to seem exotic. (Hint: Obama’s Muslim heritage).

…On the other hand, AC’s strive to be the best at the culture that they inherited from Europe. Throughout the West, they are tops in their professions as lawyers, doctors, engineers, Ivy League professors and business moguls; this is all well and good. It’s when they decide to engage us as politicians that things become messy and convoluted.

The African colonial politician (ACP) feigns repulsion towards the hegemonic paradigms of Western civilization. But at the same time, he is completely enamored of the trappings of its aristocracy or elite culture. The ACP blames and caricatures whitey to no end for all that has gone wrong in the world. He convinces the masses that various forms of African socialism are the best way for redressing the problems that European colonialism motivated in Africa. However, as opposed to really being a hard-core African Leftist who actually believes in something, the ACP uses socialist themes as a way to disguise his true ambitions: a complete power grab whereby the “will of the people” becomes completely irrelevant.

Barack Obama is all of the above. The only difference is that he is here playing (colonial) African politics as usual.

In his 1995 memoir, Dreams From My Father — an eloquent piece of political propaganda — Obama styles himself as a misunderstood intellectual who is deeply affected by the sufferings of black people, especially in America and Africa. In the book, Obama clearly sees himself as an African, not as a black American. And to prove this, he goes on a quest to understand his Kenyan roots. He is extremely thoughtful of his deceased father’s legacy; this provides the main clue for understanding Barack Obama.

Barack Obama Sr. was an African colonial to the core; in his case, the apple did not fall far from the tree. All of the telltale signs of Obama’s African colonialist attitudes are on full display in the book — from his feigned antipathy towards Europeans to his view of African tribal associations as distracting elements that get in the way of “progress”.  (On p. 308 of Dreams From My Father, Obama says that African tribes should be viewed as an “ancient loyalties”.)

Like imperialists of Old World Europe, the ACP sees their constituents not as free thinking individuals who best know how to go about achieving and creating their own means for success. Instead, the ACP sees his constituents as a flock of ignorant sheep that need to be led — oftentimes to their own slaughter.

Like the European imperialist who spawned him, the ACP is a destroyer of all forms of democracy.

Are you getting the picture yet folks?  Despite the opposition from some Conservative talk radio hosts, no one is really willing to simply come out and say exactly what Obama is and what he is doing.  No one wants to really say that we are on a path to despotism.  Everyone wants to believe in a false hope that we can fix all of this in the next set of elections.

Do we willfully omit the lessons of history when men such as Obama have achieved their arrival in power?

THERE WILL BE NO MORE “FREE” ELECTIONS.  Those days are done.

Future elections will be as they are in Cook County Chicago, in Tehran Iran, in Baghdad under Sadaam Hussein, in North Korea – and as this author would probably agree – like they are in third world African dictatorships – where ridiculous “landslides” are stated to keep the emperor and dictators in power.

Americans are a hopeful people.  So too were the Jews in Europe during the 1930′s that refused to allow themselves to think that their own leaders and fellow citizens were going to herd them to a mass genocide.

Obama is leading us into a mass genocide, if the lessons of history of similar men with his mindset are to be learned from.

Ikenga notes these similarities with African Despots and Obama:

…Convince the people that “clinging” to any aspect of their cultural (tribal) identity or history is bad and regresses the process of “unity”. …Imperialists pitted tribes against each other in order to create chaos that they then blamed on ethnic rivalry. Today many “educated” Nigerians, having believed that their traditions were irrelevant, remain completely ignorant of their ancestry and the history of their own tribes.

Confiscate the wealth and resources of the area that you govern by any means necessary in order to redistribute wealth. …. Imperialists are not interested in equality for all. They are interested in controlling all.

Convince the masses that your upper-crust university education naturally puts you on an intellectual plane from which to understand everything even when you understand nothing…

Lie to the people and tell them that progress is being made even though things are clearly becoming worse…

Use every available media outlet to perpetuate the belief that you and your followers are the enlightened ones-and that those who refuse to support you are just barbaric, uncivilized, ignorant curmudgeons.  This speaks for itself.

America, don’t be fooled. …. Also, understand this: the African colonial who is given too much political power can only become one thing: a despot.

Election 2008 is no doubt a contest between overt Big Government Socialists and Marxists in the Democrat Party and several Big Government Liberals dressed up in Conservative clothing in the Republican Party.

There are a couple of stand-outs that have records of consistent Conservatism, but they are largely marginalized by the Big Government Elite Blue Bloods in the party and by the media that wants either a liberal or an anti-Bush candidate on the GOP ticket to run opposite of the crown they wish to bestow upon Hillary.

And then there is Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is the lone stand-out in the GOP. His mob followers argue that this is because he is the only true Conservative in the race, the rest of us would argue it is because he is clearly not a Conservative or Republican at all – but a typical Libertarian with more in common with the Anti-war Leftists than with Reagan Conservatives.

Of course the argument is that Ron Paul is closer to Reagan and the Constitution than any other candidate. I certainly do not agree with that assessment, notably because in the case of comparison between Paul and Reagan – Reagan NEVER, and I mean NEVER insinuated once that America was the cause of the problems in the world that Ron Paul has consistently charged us with.

Also, even though Ron Paul’s domestic ideas of returning to the Constitution are admiarable, he not only is off the mark on foreign policy, he is off his rocker if he thinks he can enact or enable any of his agenda as President outside of emasculating the military and retreating America from the world.

Bruce Walker posted an excellent observation in the American Thinker of where Ron Paul misses the mark in terms of addressing his “non-interventionist” (read Isolationist Pacifism) ideals.

Ron Paul holds the vain hope that American government would return to constitutional law anytime soon, even if he did win the presidency. Congress, the judiciary, legal education, and tradition have imparted momentum to the living constitution school of thought. Bring about an actual return to the Constitution requires more than a snap of the president’s fingers. Federal courts routinely “interpret” the Constitution in ways directly in conflict with the plain language of the document. At best, a president can only appoint judges the Senate will confirm and wait for natural turnover.

A lot of persuasion is necessary before Americans (including our elites and their institutions) change their way thinking. We in fact still need a crusade to change hearts and minds more than a candidacy.

This has been my main point of contention with the Ron Paul Mob Zombies from the get-go. The amount of virtual messiah-worship that Ron Paul is going to achieve all of these amazing things and save the country from itself is not only delusional, it’s dangerous. It has spawned a rabid fanatacism that one can easily compare with the Brownshirts of Germany in the 1930′s. No man is going to be able to do the things many of Ron Paul’s supporters are absolutely sure he can accomplish – mainly due to the limits the Constitution places on the Executive itself.

For all the love of the Constitution that Ron Paul stokes the masses to believe in, the big love is reserved for what they perceive to be the Constitution’s pacifism and ‘non-interventionism’. This is the one and only brick holding the various and bizarre ideologies of the Ron Paul brigades together.

But they miss the mark. Bruce Walker points this out:

And if we are going to return to first principles, remember that the Constitution is not the foundational document of our American experiment in individual liberty. It was preceded by the Articles of Confederation. Prior to the Articles of Confederation, which were adopted after independence, the Continental Congress acted as the original government of the United States and successfully waged a war against the great superpower on the planet with very little real authority. The fundamental principles of American government were established long the Constitution was adopted.

What does matter is the Declaration of Independence. The divine endowment of all people with liberty comes directly out of this document of 1776 and it is to this document that serious friends of liberty should look for inspiration and restoration. And what was the Declaration of Independence? It was, in effect, a declaration of war against the British Empire.

It was not an isolationist document but a universalist document. It speaks, pointedly, to the rest of the world. It talks about the reasons that governments are formed (not just our government.) It was bold, sweeping, and international. And it was seen by the rest of the world as just that: A revolutionary document for all peoples, even if it applied specifically only to thirteen embattled colonies in North American.

Ron Paul wants to return us to the Constitution, as if it were a sacred document which granted us freedom. Our spiritual lodestar should be the Declaration of Independence, which remains a much more dangerous, much more powerful, and much more relevant document to our times.

Those are indeed sobering points to meditate upon. The argument that ensues is that the Declaration of Independence is NOT LAW, which by doing so undercuts and grants the Socialists and Secularists the platforms upon which they stand to regulate and adminster liberty as they see fit.
The more worrisome attributes of applying strict Constitutional ideals to foreign policy without the grounding anchor of the Declaration and other fundamentals of liberty in a modern age – is the kind of backwards idealism that ignores reality for a theory that history has already shown to be impractical and endangering.

Paul also seems to doubt that people wish to do America harm because it is America, and that nuclear weapons change everything. Ever since H.G. Wells first used the term “atomic bomb” in his science fiction stories more than a century ago, it has become almost inevitable that true, horrific global war power was inevitable. Happily, America acquired fission weapons and then fusion weapons first. Happily also, America has had leaders willing to use that power to protect our nation and allies who would otherwise be unprotected.

And, as we learned from the Japanese in the Second World War and from radical Moslems today, the calculus of economic benefits and political rights which works very well in moderating and balancing the behavior of most people, simply does not work with everyone. Does anyone doubt that the Japanese would have used the atomic bomb on American cities or that radical Moslems will use thermonuclear bombs on America, if they can, even if it means massive casualties in our retaliation?

Liberty can no longer stand safely behind two vast oceans and decent men can no longer ignore their human brethren after Hitler, Stalin and Mao.

I think this mindset of Ron Paul is the most damning proof that he is unfit for the role of Commander In Chief. He has asserted that Iran poses no threat to anyone, not even to Israel. Ron Paul says that Iran has no navy, army or air force, which is complete ignorance on his part. He is of the clueless ideal that because Israel may have 300 nuclear weapons (which has never been confirmed or admitted to). Nobody would touch them. History has already proven him wrong since America has nuclear weapons, has USED nuclear weapons, and still we have been attacked by Jihadists. Ron paul also magically thinks that all the rhetoric coming from the Jihadists about annihilating Israel and America is just laughable – and that there is no possibility of harm from such entities.

I suppose if a person holds to the same ideas that many of the 9-11 Truthers that support Ron Paul hold; thinking we perpetrated 9-11 on ourselves – it is no wonder Ron Paul then so easily discounts what ragheads in the deserts of Afghansitan were able to carry out in killing 3,000 Americans in short order on September 11, 2001. Perhaps this is the reason he thinks only one submarine with ballistic nuclear weapons is all the military defense America really needs.

Bruce Walker concludes:

Liberty can no longer stand safely behind two vast oceans and decent men can no longer ignore their human brethren after Hitler, Stalin and Mao. ….Congressman Paul might recall the Gipper’s Cold War strategy: “How about this: We win; they lose?”

Ronald Reagan, like Abraham Lincoln, understood the supra-constitutional importance of liberty in the fulfillment of America, and liberty to them meant more than just the liberty of American citizens. ….

But the vision of America is much more than the Constitution. It is much more than Congressman Paul sees. What Ron Paul proposes is not bad or dishonest. It is simply no longer enough for liberty and decency to survive in America or in the world.

America does not exist in a vacuum. The world loathes the kind of liberty America represents, because it does not grant it to nobles, dictators and politburos. America is an anomoly in the world’s written history of the beastly empires of men. It seeks to return itself to that kind of rule that 500 years of Christian-led and inspired government has broken. Ron Paul considers fellow countrymen and our government the only single threat to liberty and assigns our involvement in the world as the cause of the enemies we have that are calling for and planning for our destruction.

That giant aspect of Ron Paul’s appeal is not only off the mark, but not even in the right direction of the target.
