The Bill: To authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2012 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes.

Contained within this new law unchanged, is Section 1031: which authorizes the military to go literally anywhere in the world to imprison civilians — even American citizens in the United States itself — without charge or trial, based on suspicion alone.

It now goes to Obama for his Heinous’ signature into law.

Don’t look for a veto.  Obama and his regime has played this very well, making statements that they ‘oppose’ the provisions for detention of American citizens, yet Obama’s own man Carl Levin (D) spilled the beans that it was Obama himself who demanded they REMOVE the language that would exempt American citizens from the provision of indefinite detainment?

The ability to make anyone disappear, without charge or trial – is now, with his signature – “legal”.  Anyone that the ‘executive’ declares an ‘enemy’ or ‘terrorist’ is subject to being arrested indefinitely without charge or trial.  That means Obama, on his own authority can declare you an enemy – and make you disappear, all perfectly legal.  Let’s also not forget who this regime has already deemed to be a domestic terrorist, and one wonders what the Ruling Class idiots in D.C. are smoking, unless it’s our flesh they crave.

In addition, a national security waiver allows the executive branch to move Jihad terror suspects from military tribunals to civilian courts was placed in the president’s hands rather than the Defense secretary’s, a change Carl Levin said Obama had asked for.   So Obama himself can decide what American citizen is an enemy he is able to make disappear, and at the same time, Obama can decide that Jihadist’s caught on the battlefield can be tried in civilian courts with the rights American citizens used to have.

Get the picture of what is going on now?

All this under the guise of funding the military for fiscal year 2012.

Then again, Harry Reid shoves Cowboy Poetry festivals into budget bills.  Pretty much means they can now shove whatever they want into anything they pass since they now have the power to make anyone they want disappear into military custody.

Deal Reached on Defense Bill Authorizing Indefinite Detainment Without Charge or Trial.

 

The Hill Reports that Congress has reached a deal on the passage of the 2011 Defense Authorization Act discussed here.

Most notable is that supposedly they are “changing the language in the Section 1031 Clause  about U.S. citizens being detained indefinitely without changing the bill’s core language”.

Right.  Read that again.

What that says to me, knowing how the Ruling Class likes to remake and redefine plain language, is that they are going to “redefine” the language in section 1031, so the indefinite detention of American citizens without charge or trial will not sound as bad – but it will not change the core intent of that clause in the bill.  They will still have the power to make anyone they choose, disappear without charge or trial.  The bill will just not sound so bad when they vote on it, and they can claim that the bill does not say what it means.

In addition, at the demand of Obama, the Chief of the National Guard is to be elevated to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The only other hair-raising comment came from RINO/Lib John McCain – who opposed the elevation of the chief of the National Guard to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the following about the deal struck; “They won” .

Commenting on the controversial Section 1031 of the National Defense Authorization Act — which many contend gives the federal government new powers to arrest American citizens without charge — (Senator Lindsey) Graham made clear this week that “1031, the statement of authority to detain, does apply to American citizens and it designates the world as the battlefield, including the homeland.”

The entire world is now a “battlefield”? “Including the homeland”?

There have been serious constitutional questions raised recently concerning whether our federal government should be able to arrest or assassinate American citizens overseas without charge or trial. This new and largely uncharted legal territory has been troublesome. But arresting or assassinating American citizens here in the United States without trial? Rounding up and holding American citizens indefinitely without charge? What country is this?

Well, to answer the rhetorical question, this is now Obama’s Amerika – what did we think “Hope and Change” and “Fundamental Transformation of the United States of America” was all about?  We tried to tell folks, warn them of Obama’s radical Marxist past – few to none listened.  They instead told us we were crazy extremists.

Funny thing, Hitler called the Munich Post the same things when they were screaming for Germany to listen to their warnings about what was going to happen to Germany and Europe if he stayed in power.  None listened, and history is written.

Now we are repeating it.

This is a new and unprecedented government power that should scare the living hell out of every last American. Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) rightly called it “one of the most anti-liberty pieces of legislation of our lifetime.” Jim Gilmore, former Virginia governor and chairman of the Congressional Panel on Terrorism, roundly denounced it: “The provisions of this bill undermine the basic safeguards that we enjoy as Americans. It is dangerous, and should not be supported by anyone: Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, citizen or non-citizen.”

Added Gilmore: “This ill-considered bill is one of those dangers to our liberties by an unwise extension of military power in the homeland contrary to all law, precedent and history.”

Most who support this new power for the federal government — and especially Graham — also agree that what we call the “war on terror” is a war that will last forever. In this light, this new legislation poses a particular danger, or as Sen. Paul explains: “During war, there has always been a struggle to preserve constitutional liberties. During the Civil War, the right of habeas corpus was suspended … Fortunately, those actions were reversed after the war.”

Anyone that thinks the Ruling Class Oligarchs now running the country have any intention of either preserving or restoring what liberties they have legislated away and or just plain stripped away – are delusional.  Know your enemy, but too few are willing to allow themselves to go there, even though history teaches time and again that a people’s own government is their greatest oppressor and murderer.

….The great fear in allowing government officials to forgo due process is not that it might hurt actual terrorists (for the record, I’m in favor of hurting actual terrorists, badly) but that it might hurt you, me or any other innocent American in the future. To support giving government this sort of power, you must assume two things: 1) Government never makes mistakes; and 2) Government never abuses its power. I know few who believe either.

Let us gauge our decline in our rhetoric. James Madison said in 1795: “No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.” Lindsey Graham said this week, boastfully: “When they say, ‘I want to talk to a lawyer,’ we tell them, ‘Shut up! You don’t get a lawyer!’”

This isn’t protecting America. It’s destroying it.

By design folks.  By design.  The government is granting itself the power to make anyone they deem, an enemy of the state.  And when Obama deems whom is an enemy, they have a right to make such enemies disappear, by either arrest and permanent imprisonment (think Siberia folks) or by plain assassination and murder.

Waco was made legal after-the-fact.  Now they make future Waco’s legal BEFORE the fact.

More Chess Pieces Move – Obama Lawyers Say U.S. Citizens Are Legit Military Targets

Obama Legal Vultures say Citizens can be targeted for killing if they are at war with US government.

In conjunction with the post below, todays offering from the Regime is a statement from Obama’s “National Security lawyers” that U.S. Citizens are legit military targets if they are at war with the country:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Top national security lawyers in the Obama administration say U.S. citizens are legitimate military targets when they take up arms with al-Qaida….

….Johnson said only the executive branch, not the courts, are equipped to make decisions about who qualifies as an enemy.

I have no problem with our armed forces taking out any American Muslim engaged in combat against them overseas.  They are, what we at one time would call traitors – and deserving of the consequences they earn by going to war against us and our troops while allying themselves with the Jihadist enemy.

Two disturbing things to note:

1 – Obama wanted Jihad terrorists to be tried in U.S. Courts at taxpayer expense and given a trial – even though they are NOT U.S. Citizens.  Obama even wanted 9-11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed to have a public trial in NYC.   But Obama now wants the military to be used to kill American Citizens ANYWHERE on his orders??  Anyone slightly bothered by this?  Anyone see what is being set-up against us by this regime?

2 – Given his regimes continuous efforts to refer to TEA Party Conservatives as ‘Terrorists”, it is NOT a stretch to see that this chess piece being moved into place is being put there for use AGAINST ANYONE OBAMA DECLARES AN ENEMY.

I will again refer to the quote from the official of the Obama Regime: “only the executive branch, not the courts, are equipped to make decisions about who qualifies as an enemy”

Let that sink in.  They assert ONLY Obama, not the courts, not Congress – are ‘equipped’ to make decisions about who qualifies as an enemy.

Wrong.  The Constitution grants the Executive authority to act as Commander In Chief to wage war, they do not give him the authority to DECLARE who is an enemy to wage war.  Only Congress has that power, and Congress can defund any action the Executive is waging should they choose.  But they won’t.  More than half are allied with the Marxists and the rest are spineless cowards hoping to get payola crumbs as they ride the coattails of a despotic regime.

I see a pattern of set-up here.  One all genocidal and maniacal regimes end up engaging in – the war and extermination of a tyrant’s own people who he considers an enemy, and that piece has just been put on the board for that exact intended purpose.

This regime has blatantly said, the Dictator-In-Chief has the power to decide who is an enemy, and can order their death at his whim.  Without arrest, trial or recourse.

So in two days we have the establishment AS POLICY OF THE RULING CLASS REGIME, that American citizens can be detained indefinitely without trial, and/or killed by military forces on decree of the Executive of who he deems is an enemy.

Despotic Tyranny Makes It’s Next Move

Bill Authorizing Indefinite Detention of U.S. Citizens without charge or trial passes Senate.

If safeguarding our liberties could be viewed as a game on a chess board, we have just been checkmated by the power in D.C.

And few to none are even aware of what just happened or can care less what ramifications this will lead to.

The radical and Marxist Left in league with the Ruling Class of oligarchs in our country – using the springboard of “national security” are handing eager tyrants the very irons and shackles that they can use on any Americans this regime deems an ‘enemy’.  Congress is about to grant Obama the power to use the military in order to detain any individuals, including American citizens, without trial or due process, indefinitely.

Senator Rand Paul (R – KY) discusses the insidiousness of this measure that passed:

The bill, the National Defense Authorization Act, S. 1867 was drafted in secret by Senators Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) and approved in a closed-door committee meeting without any public oversight or comment.  Senator Mark Udall’s amendment to strip the language of indefinite detention as applied to American citizens was defeated.  They of course did this ‘secret’ behind-closed-door drafting of legislation before.  Recall ObamaCare and how that was written and passed in the dead of night and in secret.  So desperate are the Ruling Class Tyrants, that they were willing to ‘deem’ such ‘secret’ laws they write behind closed doors as passed without the ability for the congress to read these bills, or without even a vote if they so choose.

This regime, from the Dictator-in-Chief to the Politburo Congress, now marches as it sees fit, even provided cover and license by a Federal Judge who earlier in the month ruled that “Congress be free to forge national solutions to national problems, no matter how local — or seemingly passive” which essentially says Congress has the freedom to do whatever it wants, for the good of the people as they see fit, whether the people want it or not.

Add another Ruling Class jerk like Colin Powell, lamenting that Congress needs to be able to work ‘quietly’ – without the American people looking over their shoulders – and you can easily see that all moves being made against liberty are leading us to that final checkmate.

All of this illustrates that indeed, we now live in a post-Constitutional America where the push is into a European-styled Soviet Socialism is reaching the end game.  And like Chess – as one who studies strategy and patterns, the Ruling Class have positioned all their pieces for the final strike.  They control our food, from seed to plate.  Our water.  Ability to hunt or fish. With this Defense Authorization with the language intact – they now have the power to detain you indefinitely, without trial or recourse.  Just as the Soviet’s did with their dissidents.

On the 10th Anniversary of the 9-11 Attacks, I decided to link to a video done back in 2007 in gratitude for brothers fighting on the front lines, as our own political discourse in the USA became muddled with the anti-war/Code Pink/Ron Paul protesters. The morale of our troops was dispiriting when they read what was happening back home.  My impetus was to give them a boost and let them know there are plenty of us who understand why they are there fighting, how long Islam has been waging war on the USA, and how much we are praying for their mission, and their safe return home after destroying the enemy.

America is an evil nation with evil people. That is, except for our leftists, right?

Whether it be another lawsuit alleging the mistreatment of enemy combatants, who wear no official uniform, or any number of documentaries produced that make America the mother of all evil empires, I’m beyond tired of seeing the ungrateful protected by our government, the very government they gleefully excoriate daily.

In this war on terror, I’ve given up hope that just once someone on the left would publicly show as much disdain for those who strap bombs on themselves to blow up civilians, and those who kidnap civilians and cut their heads off with knives, as they vilify their own soldiers whom they claim to care so much about.

“Blackwater is not the only private U.S. corporation facing lawsuits for alleged abuses in Iraq, on Monday hundreds of Iraqis held at Abu Ghraib prison filed a lawsuit against the private military contractor CACI.

“The suit alleges the Iraqis were repeatedly sodomized, threatened with rape, kept naked in their cells, subjected to electric shock, attacked by unmuzzled dogs and subjected to serious pain inflicted on sensitive body parts while being held at Abu Ghraib.”

Tell you what.

If I was an enemy combatant detained today in an American jail, I’d being saying that I was repeatedly sodomized, threatened with rape, kept naked in my cell, subjected to electric shock, attacked by unmuzzled dogs, and subjected to serious pain inflicted on sensitive body parts if I knew some bleeding heart American lawyer would believe me and vigorously defend me.

Despite the fact that coercion (and warrantless wiretaps) was used to extract information that’s thwarted many a terrorist plot to kill civilians all around the world, America is continually being declared the enemy by citizens of our own country.

And when a bomb goes off somewhere in the world, in a crowded marketplace or discothèque, our same liberals never decry the senseless violence perpetrated by ideological sadists. They’re occupied looking for another American serviceman to charge with atrocities.

Of course while chanting they support the troops, the lawsuits alleging torture and murder puts a bulls eye on every man and woman serving overseas, as well as the millions of civilians around the world who are targeted by an enemy that seeks our domination and has said as much numerous times.

Documentaries that point the finger of guilt at us achieves that same goal, while ignoring altogether those who cut of fingers, rape, stone women to death, and whose writings describe death to infidels in ways that would make Abu Ghraib look like Romper Room. I believe these atrocities and death wishes are ignored because our liberals are justifiably afraid of our enemy, and going after the “evil” United States is the cowardly, but easy way out.

One of these days, we will not extract all the necessary information needed to avert a mass terror attack. It may happen in the United States, and it may happen in any number of nations around the world. But I hope those who protect and serve our enemy will wake up in hell, knowing that their intentional, partisan attempts to vilify the one nation in the world, so evil, that millions are standing their place to immigrate to, have worked.

The blood of the hundreds, if not thousands or millions, of dead will not be on our hands. They’ll be on theirs, and the problem is they’re too narcissistic to see that what they’re doing is putting the world at risk.

All in the name of people who would cut their big heads off in a heartbeat.

The Left and the Anti-war bunch in our midst do not understand what you have said, they do NOT want to understand what you have said and would rather castigate you as a “Neocon” or worse for daring to disagree with licking the palms of our enemies and blaming ourselves for their existence.

Iran Declares NIE Report An American Surrender

This is why I hate the anti-war movement and the zombies of Ron Paul. They tout the NIE report as vindication of their cause to paint America and Bush as the bullies and HAND Jihadist madmen like Iran’s Ahmadinejad and mullahs who are preparing the Muslim world for the conquest of the Great and Little Satan, victory.

Iran says U.S. report a “declaration of surrender”

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran’s president said on Sunday the publication of a U.S. intelligence report saying Iran had halted a nuclear weapons program in 2003 amounted to a “declaration of surrender” by Washington in its row with Tehran.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also dismissed in an interview with state television the prospect of new U.N. sanctions against Iran over its refusal to halt sensitive atomic work.

“It is too far-fetched,” he said when asked whether he expected the U.N. Security Council to impose fresh sanctions on Iran following two such resolutions since last December.

Ahmadinejad, who often rails against the West, told a rally earlier this month that the December 3 publication of the U.S. National Intelligence Estimate was a “victory” for Iran.

He said on Sunday: “It was in fact a declaration of surrender … It was a positive action by the U.S. administration to change their attitude and it was a correct move.”

Washington is still pushing for more sanctions on Iran despite the U.S. intelligence report, which also said Tehran was continuing to master skills needed to make nuclear weapons. U.S. President George W. Bush said Iran was still a danger.

An exiled opposition group, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), last week said Iran shut down its nuclear weapons program in 2003 but said restarted it a year later, dispersing equipment to thwart international inspectors.

Iran insists its nuclear program is peaceful and designed to make electricity. It says it has never had a nuclear weapons program.

“It would be beneficial for both Iran and them (the West) to cooperate with Iran,” Ahmadinejad said. “Of course it would be more to their benefit than Iran’s.”

Iran regularly calls for a change in behavior from the United States, which cut diplomatic ties with Iran in 1980 after radical students seized the U.S. embassy and took diplomats hostage during the 1979 Islamic revolution.
