Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. – Matthew 24: 9-13
The zeitgeist this week towards the excuse coddling of Jihadist Islam and the rising chorus in condemnation of Christianity is reaching a loud harmony.
Jihadists are not a threat according to Ron Paul, neither is a nuclear Iran under the control of Ahmadinejad who promises the destruction of the West. But Christians, Christians are the greatest threat to the world, and to peace according to the allies of militant Islam in the Secular and Atheistic Left in America and the West.
A sickening commentary on Foreign Policy in Focus underscores that point. Jon Basil Utley, in particularly insulting fashion ignores the open statements of Jihadists in the goal of destroying America and the West, to insist the effort to destroy the world really comes from Christians who he now refers as “Armageddonites”.
Millions of Americans, the richest people in history, have a death wish. They are the new “Armageddonites,” fundamentalist evangelicals who have moved from forecasting Armageddon to actually trying to bring it about.
…American fundamentalists strongly supported the decision to invade Iraq in 2003. They consistently support Israel’s hard-line policies. And they are beating the drums for war against Iran. Thanks to these end-timers, American foreign policy has turned much of the world against us, including most Muslims, nearly a quarter of the human race.
…The overwhelming power and warmongering of the Armageddonites has inspired some resistance from other fundamentalists, but they are a minority. Theologian Richard Fenn writes, “Silent complicity (by mainline churches) with apocalyptic rhetoric soon becomes collusion with plans for religiously inspired genocide.” Their death-wishing “religion” is actually anti-Christian and should be challenged openly by traditional Christians.
There is a bulk of both anti-Christian and Anti-semetic crap posted there, but what is interesting is that this same policy blog who tells us that 20 million Evangelicals are a danger to world peace, has writiers that meet with Iran’s Ahmadinejad and laud how “impressive” and “devout” he is.
In that piece, a radical college professor discounts the power Ahmadinejad has, asserts he has no capability to harm America (despite the fact 19 Jihadists with boxcutters managed to kill 3,000 Americans) and suggests Ahmadindehead’s influence is waning and that the Ayatollahs mean America and Israel no harm. Ultimately, there are hints that the real threat is religion and that America is to blame for all the woe in the region.
This nitwit professor from the University of San Francisco (fitting is it not?) goes on to assist Ahmadinejad’s propaganda with his own secularist Left reasonings, and insists the danger is America – not Iran or Jihadists.
Clearly Jon Basil Utely and Stephen Zunes hate America and Christians in particular as much or more than the rabid Jihadists do. They wage the same jihad: eliminate Christians and Jews, but for different desired ends. Ultimately, they are allies in a concerted effort.
They are an Unholy Alliance on the march. They and their Secular-Left footsholdiers are prepping the ground for the world to accept the elimination of biblical Christians and Jews by law right alongside the Islamists who have prepping their people for our physical annihilation for decades.
We ignore these people at our own risk, and those of our children, but Jesus warned us that these things would take place.
Sadly, American Christians gloss over those admonitions and either think they will get zapped out of here before harm comes, or that God will not allow any harm come to them.
Remember, all of God’s prophets and all of Jesus’ Apostles save John, were persecuted and murdered.
Why should we think ourselves any different?
Because we grew up in a free America?
A republic we are losing to the very ideology that wants us eliminated?
