Tyranny In The Name Of Tolerance

It seems the war between the Boyscouts of America and the Homosexual agenda has been raging for years. Homosexuals have demanded that the Boyscouts change their charter and their morals to accept practicing homosexuals as both leaders and scouts among their ranks. The Boyscouts have steadfastly refused, stating that as a private organisation, they have the right to set their own standards. Homosexuals have attempted to use the courts to force them to change their policy and have tried a variety of anti-discrimination techniques to force the Scouts to break down and relent to their demands. It seems to have worked in Philadelphia, where the City this week is about to evict the Boyscouts from their building by June for refusing to knuckle under to the city’s anti-discrimination policy.

It’s amazing to watch tyranny and oppression being foisted on Christians in the name of ‘tolerance’ and ‘diversity’ by the aberrant and deviant who claim of themselves to be victims of the same. Apparently in our Politically correct age when there is no such thing as sin except the sin of intolerance towards sin and being a devout Christian, tyranny is simply justice in the eyes of the wicked, or put simply: wickedness will employ tyranny to impose their form of justice.

The famous Beaux Arts style building was built and paid for by the Scouts, and they, in a gesture of goodwill, turned it over to the city of Philadelphia in 1929 with the understanding that the Scouts would be allowed to remain in it virtually rent-free, to pay only One Dollar a year “in perpetuity.”

Since the City would appear to me to be in violation of the 1929 agreement, the scouts should demand the city rescind ownership of the building to revert back to the Scouts. Not only would this appear to be tyranny via extortion by the City for a private group to change it’s moral principles, but theft as well – seeing as the City of Philadelphia stands to gain money and revenue for new tenants it is lining up for the building.

Philadelphia Boy Scouts to Lose Historic Building for Not Accepting Homosexuality
Homosexual city solicitor breaks 1929 “in perpetuity” agreement and said to pursue Scouts with “vengeance”.

PHILADELPHIA, December 11, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Philadelphia council of the Boy Scouts of America will lose the lease on its historic premises for its refusal to bow to pressure from the homosexual lobby to accept homosexual members and leaders. The city has told the Scouts they will be evicted if they cannot come up with US $200,000 a year “market value” rent for the land on which their building sits. Until now, the Scouts had paid a nominal $1 per year lease fee although the youth organisation had originally owned the premises in 1929.

The famous Beaux Arts style building was built and paid for by the Scouts, and turned over to the city with the understanding that the Scouts would be allowed to remain in it rent-free “in perpetuity.”

City solicitor Romulo L. Diaz Jr. gave Philadelphia’s “Cradle of Liberty Council” of the Scouts until Monday this week to renounce their policy. The Cradle of Liberty Council is the largest Scouts council in Pennsylvania and is the third largest in the entire Boy Scouts of America. The “City of Brotherly Love” has told the Scouts they have until June 1 to vacate their historic building.

A US Supreme Court decision in 2000 said the Boy Scouts were a private organisation who had the right to bar anyone they chose from their ranks. But the city of Philadelphia has a policy that no organisation that “discriminates” may receive public subsidies and City Council is backing Diaz’s interpretation of the law.

Diaz, an open and practising homosexual, told a local radio interviewer he would begin looking for a new tenant for the building immediately.

The pressure started in 2003 when then-mayor of Philadelphia, John F. Street, started coming under pressure from homosexual activists, powerful in local politics, to force the Scouts to accept homosexuality, claiming that their refusal violated the city’s 1982 “fair practices” law.

Mark Chilutti, a member of the Cradle of Liberty Council executive board said, “We’re ignoring the deadline. It was the least bad option we have.”

Gregg Shields, national spokesman for the Boy Scouts told the New York Times, “Since we were founded, we believe that open homosexuality would be inconsistent with the values that we want to communicate with our leaders”

“A belief in God is also mentioned in the Scout oath. We believe that those values are important. Tradition is important. Our mission is to instil those values in scouts and help them make good choices over their lifetimes.”

A part of the Boy Scout oath says the boys promise to “keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight”. Scouting teaches boys to be “trustworthy, helpful, kind, cheerful, brave, clean and reverent”.

An editorial in the Philadelphia Daily News says the attack on the Scouts, and their moral stand, comes at a time in Philadelphia when the city suffers a murder a day, “but City Hall thinks Public Enemy No. 1 is the Boy Scouts of America”.

Christine M. Flowers said Diaz “has pursued the Scouts with something akin to vengeance, cloaked in the language of equality.”

“This is an organization that has done more good for more children in this crime-ravaged city than most of the other so-called charitable groups in the City of Brotherly Love…At a time when this city is awash in blood, and we need as many safe havens for our children as possible, Philadelphia decides to go after an organization that is politically uncomfortable.”

An editorial appearing in the online edition of Investor’s Business Daily asked, “Isn’t it hypocritical, though, to be intolerant in the name of tolerance, to say that it’s wrong to disapprove of the lifestyles of others but OK to condemn the religious and moral beliefs of others?”

“How is it that an organization that has done immeasurable good for tens of millions of boys becomes one of America’s most notorious and dangerous hate groups?”

Ron Paul Sees, Hears and Speaks No Evil – Unless It’s America

I’ve begun to notice a trend with Ron Paul that is shared by many of the Democrat/Socialists on the Left: he has NOTHING positive to say about America. His whole platform is how broken and wrong we are as a country and a people.

In reading and listening to Ron Paul, you would assume all the charges of evil and woe he makes are directed at dictatorial regimes like North Korea or madmen like Ahmadinejad of Iran or Chavez of Venezuela – but no, Ron Paul only sees America as the insitgator and promulgator of all evil on the planet. So, he advocates pulling out of the globe in terms of military presence, and becoming a flea market with alfresco dining and tea and crumpet conversations with any and all who want to trade persian rugs for uranium.

Ron Paul is blind, deaf and dumb when it comes to foreign policy and the dangerous world America exists in. Almost every time I hear this guy speak, he goes into shrill anti-war mode, painting America as nothing but a boil between the butt-cheeks of the world that justly earns the desire of Jihadists like Zawahiri and Ahmadinejad to lance us to relieve their pain. When discussing the economy, he instantly blames the war. When discussing the dollar’s fall, he blames the war. In Ron Paul’s pacifistic mind, if we close all our military bases and bring all troops home – we will have oodles of money to fix all our woes, the world will love us and Jihadist Islam will once again become a dove of peace before America instigated it to become a beast.

His latest weekly rant contains the same talking point buffoonery that the MoveOn.org/Democrat Underground Anti-war nuts are happily celebrating along with Ahmadinejad of Iran. I wonder if the Persian President will quote Ron Paul’s latest apology in glowing appreciation while he continues to make nukes under the table?

I expect Ahmadinejad’s endoresement of Ron Paul for President any day now.

No wonder Dennis Kuccinich wants Ron Paul to be his Vice Presidential running mate, they have the same foreign policy ideas.

Bombed if you do, Bombed if you Don’t

The latest National Intelligence Estimate has been greeted by a mixture of relief and alarm. As I have been saying all along, Iran indeed poses no quantifiable imminent nuclear threat to us or her neighbors.

“Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation,” Ahmadinejad said at the opening of a three-day conference questioning the Holocaust. “The Zionist regime is a rotten, dried tree that will be eliminated by one storm.”

“Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned Europe that it should support his country’s nuclear program or “suffer the consequences.

“You imposed a group of terrorists… on the region. (FALSE) It is in your own interest to distance yourself from these criminals. This is an ultimatum. Don’t complain tomorrow. We have advised the Europeans that the Americans are far away, but you are the neighbours of the nations in this region. We inform you that the nations are like an ocean that is welling up, and if a storm begins, the dimensions will not stay limited to Palestine, and you may get hurt.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned Western leaders to follow the path of God [Islam] or “vanish from the face of the earth“.
…The outspoken president also maintained Iran’s defiance over its controversial nuclear programme, saying it was on course to fully master nuclear technology.
“Thank to God’s help, we have gone all the way and are only one step away from the zenith.

It is with much alarm, however, that we see the administration continue to ratchet up the war rhetoric as if nothing has changed.

Obviously some in the Administration are not as gullible as Ron Paul is.

“Iranian and UN nuclear officials began a new round of talks here on Monday, this time to probe the source of traces of weapons-grade uranium that were found at a university in Teheran, the official IRNA news agency reported”.

Iran can develop nuclear bomb by 2010, “”Iran continues its activities to enrich uranium, and even according to the NIE report, it is likely to accumulate sufficient amounts to create a nuclear weapon by 2010”

Indeed nothing has changed from the administration’s perspective, as they have had this latest intelligence report for some time.

Really? What proof and source does he have to make that statement when one of the principal authors of the latest NIE report Bill Fingar testified in JULY OF THIS YEAR – the exact opposite of what he is saying now.

The NIE report, as has been discussed, is a political hatchet job being perpetrated by ideologues inside the Intelligence community who are at war with Bush.

Five Reasons To Doubt The Claim Iran Has Shuttered Nuke Program

On the one hand, they discredit the report entirely, despite it being one of the most comprehensive intelligence reports on the subject, with over 1,000 source notes in the document.

Is this not the same NIE that Ron Paul criticized for getting it’s intel analysis WRONG about Sadaam’s WMDS in Iraq???

Yes, methinks so. Now the Paulster suddenly sees virtue in the NIE because it has lots and lots of sources? Did his messiaship read up on all those sources?

I’ll take THIS analysis of the NIE report over Ron Paul’s rush to gush over it.

“many involved in drafting and approving the NIE were not intelligence professionals but refugees from the State Department, brought into the new central bureaucracy of the director of national intelligence. These officials had relatively benign views of Iran’s nuclear intentions five and six years ago; now they are writing those views as if they were received wisdom from on high. In fact, these are precisely the policy biases they had before, recycled as “intelligence judgments.”

Why the NIE is flawed.

On the other hand, when discrediting it fails, they claim that the timing of the abandonment of the weapons program, just as we were invading Iraq, means our pressure must have worked,

Why not? Libyan abandonment of it’s nuke program at the time is a case-in-point that the threat and use of force will bring rogue states to compliance.

so we must keep it up with a new round of even tougher sanctions. Russia and China are not buying this, apparently, and again we are finding ourselves on a lonely tenuous platform on the world stage.

This is just a deliberate lie on Paul’s part. First, America WAS NOT ALONE in calling for and preparing sanctions against Iran for it’s nuke program. Second, the only reason we would find ourselves on a “lonely platform” is because that is what the political ideologues of the NIE report designed the report to do; isolate Bush and diffuse the sanctions against Iran, which the report has effectively done.

It is why Ahmadinejad declared victory against America and stated that “nothing would stop” Iran’s nuclear growth.

The truth is Iran is being asked to do the logically impossible feat of proving a negative.

It’s obvious Ron Paul must have taken a trip with Dennis Kuccinich to whatever parallel universe the aliens they believe in must have taken them.

They are being presumed guilty until proven innocent because there is no evidence with which to indict them. There is still no evidence that Iran, a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, has ever violated the treaty’s terms – and the terms clearly state that Iran is allowed to pursue nuclear energy for peaceful, civilian energy needs.

Iran has ALREADY BOASTED it’s nuclear capabiltiies, and announced it is already one step away from reaching a “nuclear zenith”. What is a nuclear zenith? Creating weapons grade fissile materials. That is the nuclear zenith. Ron Paul wants to pretend 3,000 centrifuges with the desire for 50,000 more is just a can of gasoline for starting an electical plant, when it only takes 164 gas centrifuges to enrich low grade uranium for annual reactor use in one power plant. 3,000 gas centrifuges that Iran admits it has operating at full capacity, is enough to enrich uranium for one nuclear bomb a year.

Given the statements of aggression by Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs in Iran, the stated promises and warnings given, the already admitted progress of Iran’s nuclear efforts is enough to indict them. Low grade enrichment capability is 2/3 of the way towards weapons grade high enrichment, but Ron Paul is adamant that Iran seeks nukes for peaceful purposes. I’ve never seen someone so eager to eat propaganda from someone who has repeatedly threatened to wipe out Israel and punish America.

This is why this loon is not fit for CINC.

The United States cannot unilaterally change the terms of the treaty, and it is unfair and unwise diplomatically to impose sanctions for no legitimate reason.

“No legitimate reason”??? I’ll assume Ron Paul is like the Kuccinich lunatics that think Ahmadinejad is simply “Misunderstood”. I tell ya, Ron Paul and Dennis Kuccinich make Daladier and Chamberlain look like hawkish lions in comparison.

Are we to think that Iran hasn’t noticed the duplicitous treatment being received by so-called nuclear threats around the globe? If they have been paying attention, and I think they have, they would see that if countries do have a nuclear weapon, they tend to be left alone, or possibly get a subsidy, but if they do not gain such a weapon then we threaten them. Why wouldn’t they want to pursue a nuclear weapon if that is our current foreign policy?

The sophmoric idiocy of this statement alone should stamp Ron Paul as a clueless imbecile. As if NO NATION would pursue nukes for expansionism, threat and blackmail, and only seek nukes as a deterrent to America. I guess the idea of nuclear blackmail never crossed his clueless mind.

Ron Paul would end up with an expression of shock and surprise on his aged mug as clearly as it appeared on the faces of those in the NIE who, after assuring us that North Korea was 30 years from nuke capability – got a rude confirmation that NK had detonated a nuclear weapon. The same kind of surprise these same idgits got when Pakistan, followed by India tested their nukes that they assumed they were decades away from having. The world is far more dangerous than it was before, and Ron Paul would have us all believe it is because of American bullying that it is.

Such a mindset is not fit for public office whent he defense of the nation is in his authority. Ron Paul would wait until we were radioactive cinders before retaliating for any aggression – and as such, he needs to be rejected for the office he seeks for yet a second time.

The fact remains, there is no evidence they actually have one, or could have one any time soon, even if they immediately resumed a weapons program.

Thanks for making my point Ronnie. You spout the same erroneous wishful thinking that the NIE insisted of North Korean, Pakistan and India’s nuke programs last decade. By the time you admit Iran has a nuke – it will be the day we register a seismic explosion in Iran or watch a mushroom cloud rise over some city.

Our badly misguided foreign policy has already driven this country’s economy to the brink of bankruptcy with one war based on misinformation.

From the same NIE no less. How convenient….for you.

It is unthinkable that despite lack of any evidence of a threat, some are still charging headstrong into yet another war in the Middle East when what we ought to be doing is coming home from Iraq, coming home from Korea, coming home from Germany and defending our own soil. We do not need to be interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and waging war when honest trade, friendship, and diplomacy are the true paths to peace and prosperity.

This guy is an idiot. I’m convinced. So much pie-in-the-sky delusional wishful thinking in one thought, Ron Paul’s mind must reside on Sesame Street. Iran=good, America=bad.

Ron Paul would be an After-The-Fact ambulance chaser. AFTER Iran detonates a nuke, AFTER a city is in ruins and millions dead would this idiot even THINK to start an investigation and/or prepare to ‘deal’ with a problem. He thinks sitting down to tea and trading crap is the answer to evil in this world.

Such a delusional mindset is fine to have, if one is not running to be president – which is why Ron Paul is the wrong man for the office he seeks…yet again.
