Is It Time To Sing The “Ding Dong” Song Yet?

Given the latest Rasmussen poll results for New Hampshire, and Hillary Clinton’s falling poll results to Obama and Edwards since her big loss in Iowa last week, some are calling her campaign finished and “near melting”.

I just thought the pictures were hilarious and speak to the current poltical situation she finds herself in, as the Democrats are in a mad race to see who can out-Marxist the others in the shred and tear fight to become the Great And Powerful Government Oz to control everyone’s lives.

I wouldn’t count Hillary out of the race just yet. The Clinton Mean Machine is probably just getting cranked up, and all of the rumours of her campaign having nasty “information” to smear Obama with will be dumped pretty soon by her flying blog monkeys with no “official” ties to Hillary’s campaign.

Like the rest of the Democrat ‘Undead’, don’t count out what driven ambition for power can unleash. Hillary has crafts at her disposal gifted to her by that Great Political Oz; The Slick. Her Thighness has been known to kill frontrunners and raise the politically dead from the grave of defeat, so unless Obama can bring her broom to the seat of the Democrat Electorate after Super Tuesday, I would be very wary of the Castle Grande Guards she has for an army of supporters in both the media and the halls of power.

Perhaps Obama is smart enough to be carrying around of bucket of water with him.

Meanwhile, the Scarecrows and Tin men of the GOP are still fighting among themselves whether to take the yellow brick road of Isolationism, the Red Brick Road of Socialism Light, or the Road to Nowhere Fast as they argue that their map is the right map to Reagan Conservatism.

We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore Toto.

  1. So, let me get this straight.

A Christian attitude, as defined by your website, includes slandering a senator and former first lady by referring to her in word and image as a witch.

If you don’t want to vote for her or you disagree with her politics, that’s fine.. it really is.

But to do so with such a galling immaturity suggests that your own intelligence is the only thing that needs to be questioned.

It’s called political punditry and perception. No one has accused her of actual Witchcraft – but her personality as a public figure more than warrants the characterization.

Shall we make the same onus apply to Christian Leftist blogs that depicted Bush as Satan the Devil?

I suppose if Jesus was a Cartoonist – we might find some great frames of the religious leaders of His time, the Pharisees; depicted as snakes and heads that open like a coffin to reveal dead bones and rot.

But He painted a mental picture and ‘slandered’ the leaders of His day instead of actually drawing one.

    Same difference.

  3. First of all, you’re not Jesus.. and to claim the same rights as he has in dealing with creation is simply wrong.

Secondly, I don’t disagree that people characterize Bush as Satan and the Devil, but how does that justify you stooping to their level and doing the same thing back? Is this not returning evil for evil? Isn’t this exacerbating the problem further? What does it accomplish except further alienating you from the people who God has called you to love?

Excuse you, but I have the same liberties to call things what they are as He did.

but how does that justify you stooping to their level and doing the same thing back? Is this not returning evil for evil?

Hillary never made a cartoon of me, so no.

This is politics and commentary. Silence and a lack of ridicule of power-mad ambitious people is what led to genocidal maniacs murdering millions.

If you want to be silent in the face of wickedness and of those intent to put us on the Red Brick Road to socialism and despotism by trying to whitewash it in Christian paint – be my guest.

Just don’t expect the rest of us to follow along.

hat does it accomplish except further alienating you from the people who God has called you to love?

God has not called me to love those things and those espousing ideas anethema to both His law and our liberty.

    I don’t play that game.

Enough of emoting Christianity already does – and that is precisely why this nation, and Christianity in general is in the state it is in.

I believe in what Isaiah 58:1 says. If a cartoon or commentary helps do that, then I employ it.

    I don’t love Socialism.

I don’t love those espousing socialism.

So trying to tell me that I have to love what Hillary Clinton stands for in order to be a good Christian is not only unscriptural – it’s the height of absurdity.

  5. Funny.

The early church believed in socialism:

    (Acts 4:32-37)
32All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. 33With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all. 34There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need. 36Joseph, a Levite from Cyprus, whom the apostles called Barnabas (which means Son of Encouragement), 37sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles’ feet.

    (Acts 2:42-47)
42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Socialism is simply a means of taking care of all members of a group through collective financial/educational resources. The truth is that both democracy and socialism (and egalitarianism, autocracy, dictatorship, etc.) are all man-made systems.. and are all fallible and flawed.

I would rather latch onto what we know God is passionate about. The spread of his love and redemption to the poor, broken in spirit, those in sin, those who are at the end of their rope, those who society has forgotten or left behind.

This was the mission of Jesus.. and he gave it to us.

    Funny.

The early church believed in socialism

    No. WRONG.

The Leftist/Socialist idea that Jesus was a Socialist is pure, unadulterated and Satanic BUNK.

There is a HUGE difference in PERSONALLY deciding to share your wealth, feed the hungry, visit the widows and assist the poor on your own accord – and empowering GOVERNMENT or mandating anyone be forced to give charity.

Socialism ROBS us of the responsibility to serve and be charitable of our own accord, which is what we are Judged by.

Doing what you think Jesus wants you to do is fine and good if you do it of your own accord.

It becomes tyranny and evil when you begin assigning it to the power of government.

Our Republican form of liberty is EXACTLY the kind of liberty Jesus gifted to us. The FREEDOM to do His will, outside of the shackles and bondage of men.

NONE of those scriptures tell us that the Apostles or the early church empowered the government to tax and rob their neighbors by decree in order to ‘give to anyone that had need’. They did it of their own accord, with no prodding by government or ceding to government to do those things.

The fact the Democrats and people like Hillary are equating government Socialism with Christianity is pure satanic heresy.

  7. The verses above suggest that they had their own hierarchy and governmental system that collected and gave out the resources.. Sure, they didn’t use the Roman government, but they had their own little system.

Are you saying every system of wealth redistribution is wrong and unbiblical?

Quite frankly, it’s obvious that people DO NOT take actions of their own accord to care for people who need to be cared for (just consider the third world for a moment).. If we are all equal as humans, regardless of national MAN MADE borders, than it should be in our INTEREST as CHRISTIANS to take care of ALL PEOPLE.

Some system needs to be designed to begin this process.. because individuals left to their own devices are selfish and not willing to sacrifice. People who are held accountable through a system (like, say, the way the GOVERNMENT works with checks & balances) are far more likely to follow through and act in a compassionate, merciful way to those around them. IT doesn’t have to be government-run.. but it should at least be church-run.

The verses above suggest that they had their own hierarchy and governmental system that collected and gave out the resources.. Sure, they didn’t use the Roman government, but they had their own little system.

    No, WRONG again.

Why must you Lefties distort and attempt to rewrite and twist the plain words of both the Constitution and the scriptures to suit your ideology?

It was ILLEGAL to have any kind of government system that was not approved by the procurates of Rome at the time. The only system of religious government approved by the Romans was that of the Sanhedrin – and if you have read anything from the bible at all, you would note that the Pharisees and Saducees had little tolerance for Christians.

What they were doing was of their own free will, and of their own accord. No government was either established by them to do those things, nor was any government granted power to do those things by them.

Are you saying every system of wealth redistribution is wrong and unbiblical?

Yes. It is wrong, period. End of sentence.

Quite frankly, it’s obvious that people DO NOT take actions of their own accord to care for people who need to be cared for

So like the good Christian Stalinist that you are, you want to MANDATE by empowering yourself or some government authority to demand by force of law that charity be CONFISCATED from everyone equally and redistributed?

You’re just a Communist using your religion to impose Socialist tyranny.

If we are all equal as humans, regardless of national MAN MADE borders, than it should be in our INTEREST as CHRISTIANS to take care of ALL PEOPLE.

Then YOU DO IT. You cross the line into tyranny when you mandate OTHERS take care of the peopel who prick your heart so.

You worried about the third world? Nothing stopping YOU from selling all that YOU have to give to the poor in those areas.

You step into opressive tyranny when you try to mandate the rest of us be foreced to give to whom YOU CHOOSE to give to.

Some system needs to be designed to begin this process.

Yeah, it’s called COMMUNISM. Already been tried.

because individuals left to their own devices are selfish and not willing to sacrifice.

So you are going to FORCE THEM to sacrifice at the point of a gun of government to rob from them their just earnings to redistribute AS YOU see fit??

    You’re a freaking Stalinist.

The fact you do not trust your neighbors with liberty or charity speaks volumes as to the kind of tyranny we can expect in the hands of people like you.

As such, you are an enemy to everything I and this nation used to stand for.

  9. And you are the enemy of everything Jesus stands for, unfortunately.

I don’t really understand why you would call me a ‘Stalinist’, because none of my comments have suggested that I am for an authoritarian, centralized totalitarian form of government.

But like all things, some areas of life have to be collectively practiced. Infrastructure, Education and Military practices are just three areas where this is done in our country. The federal government builds roads and other parts of the transit system using OUR money.. this is a good thing and few would dispute that notion. Same with education and your precious military.

You suggest that any wealth redistribution is wrong, but isn’t that exactly what is happening when we are taxed to build roads?.. That is a collective good made from redistributing the wealth. Rich people don’t have better roads to use than poor people.

My point is that this stuff already happens right in our midst, and you benefit from it. In other words, don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

And you are the enemy of everything Jesus stands for

Not the first or last time people like you have made that charge.

    Red Letter Christian are ya?

  11. invar

Yes. The kind that doesn’t cherry pick the scriptures.

  12. It’s cherry picking the scriptures to look with special interest on the actual words of God himself?
