Maybe It’s Fuzzy History, The Unmitigated Liar That Is Obama

I’ve had several willingly-duped self-proclaimed “Christians” try and laud the “honesty” of Barrack Obama as a refreshing ‘change’ from the dishonesty of Clinton or McCain.  When you cite source facts of Obama’s blatant dishonesty whether it is his association with the Black Liberation Pastor Jeremiah Wright and his church, or his flip-flopping statements about Iran, the Obama worshippers simply roll their eyes over into cognitive dissonance mode, and stick their fingers in their ears while shouting “I can’t hear your racist hatred la, la, la, la, la.”

I guess I now understand exactly how it was that an enlightened people fell under the spell of a genocidal madman in Germany lo some seventy years ago.  They just reinforce the Swiftonian adage that tells us that “There are none so blind as those who refuse to see”.

The terrifying thing to consider is that we’re electing a person to the most powerful office in the world, not choosing an American Idol champion for our entertainment pleasure. Unfortunately, it seems today that Americans champion style over substance; looks over integrity; and the ability to lie smoothly and soothe itching ears.  Character matters, because contrary to what the ideologues and Apologists will tell you – the honesty and integrity of a person is going to translate to what they actually DO in that office.

Some say Obama is an empty suit.  Just a typical anti-American Liberal radical spewing the same liberal hippie radicalism he learned at college.  ABC’s Jake Tapper calls Obama a “One man gaffe machine”. Given what we have learned about Obama, we might as well be electing Kruschev and Castro to the Presidency.  After all, both the Soviets and Castro were masters at rewriting and inventing history to serve their own aims of achieving and maintaining power.

This weekend, Obama treated us to his version of history in attempting to equate himself a patriot as opposed to the anti-American radical he is. In a speech on Memorial day in Las Cruces, NM Obama said:

“My grandfather marched in Patton’s army, but I cannot know what it is to walk into battle like so many of you,” he told a small group of veterans here

Obama also spoke about his uncle, who was part of the American brigade that helped to liberate Auschwitz.

For all of the identity politics waged by Obama over his blackness – suddenly due the venue, Obama is suddenly White again??

Which Uncle was this supposed to be?  Obama’s mother was supposedly an only child.

Was this the same “Crazy uncle” that Obama says was in everyone’s attic when attempting to deflect questions about his association with Jeremiah Wright?  Or is this “Crazy Uncle” who was the first in Patton’s Army to liberate Auschwitz akin to Disney’s Pete’s Dragon?

If Obama had the audacity of foresight to Wiki the liberation of Auschwitz – he would have learned that it was the SOVIETS who liberated Auschwitz in January 1945 – not Patton’s Army.  But hey – who are we to argue historical facts when Obama is in the midst of rewriting history like Stalin did?

Now I’m sure the Apologists and willingly-duped messiah worshippers of Obama will automatically state that “Obama misspoke” and “made a mistake”, and I’m sure we should chalk it up to the same kind of mistake he made when saying his White grandmother was a “typical white woman afraid of black men” when his account of the incident he was referring in his book “Dreams of my Father” indicated she was being stalked by a panhandler. Details, details.

As Little Green Footballs notes:

But what kind of “mistake” is it to make up an (apparently) nonexistent uncle, and attribute heroic actions to this nonexistent person that they could not possibly have performed? And what kind of person would give a speech to veterans on Memorial Day—and make up a phony war story?

Definitely not just a gaffe; rather, a deliberate attempt to invoke the name of Auschwitz for political gain.

Of course before anyone in the Mainstream press tries to do any actual investigative journalism – Obama’s Spin meisters are once again telling us what Obama really meant to say:

Bill Burton says [Obama’s] great uncle was a member of the 89th Infantry Division that liberated the Ohrduf camp, part of Buchenwald and, according to the Holocaust Museum, the first concentration camp liberated by U.S. troops.

The soldier in question, Burton said, is Obama’s grandmother’s brother, who’s still alive.

“Senator Obama’s family is proud of the service of his grandfather and uncles in World War II – especially the fact that his great uncle was a part of liberating one of the concentration camps at Buchenwald. Yesterday he mistakenly referred to Auschwitz instead of Buchenwald in telling of his personal experience of a soldier in his family who served heroically,” Burton says.

That might be enough to stave off the mainstream media – but this is not the first time Obama was “mistaken” about his uncles or grandfather’s service in WWII.

In 2002, during an anti-war speech Obama said:

My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton’s army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain.

I guess since 2002, no one has bothered to help little Barry clean up his understanding of history, or his family’s role in it.

Perhaps in his quest to takeover America’s highest office, Obama might try the audacity of telling the truth – but methinks he is every bit the congenital liar that his Democrat Presidential Predecessors were, if not moreso.

Obama is more than an empty suit.  He is a pathological liar.

Do we really want someone with this kind of ability to BS while maintaining relationships with America-hating terrorists and radicals with the reins to the Presidency?

God be merciful, and give us a president we need, and not a president we deserve.
