Federal Directive Authorizes Military To Engage Civilians: “To Quell Large-scale, Unexpected Civil Disturbances”

It’s not hard to connect the dots about what is about to be unleashed upon us by this regime in power.

After all, Obama announced to a crowd of clapping seals back in 2008 that he wanted a “civilian security force”.

So 6 years later and what picture are we seeing when you begin to connect the dots?

Military MRAPs & APCs for civilian police departments.

SWAT teams for every Federal department and agency, including the Department of Education.

Billions of rounds of hollow point ammunition for Federal agencies like the Weather Service, enough to fight 4 Iraq-sized wars for 10 years.

DHS and the federal government are deploying a program to put 30,000 drones over American soil

Then take what His Heinous, Barack Obama  had to say to the graduating cadets at West Point this week.  He did not discuss the strength of America and it’s military to keep the peace or outline a strategy to deter Red China, Putin’s Russia or Iran from expansionism and terror.  Instead he discussed how our might should be used to combat ‘Climate Change”, not our enemies.  Chillingly Obama noted to the cadets that Climate Change is “a creeping national security crisis that will help shape your time in uniform, as we’re called on to respond to refugee flows, natural disasters, and conflicts over water and food,”.

Refugee flows and conflicts over water and food?  Sounds like he is expecting this ‘national security crisis’ to create war zone conditions.

Here’s a dot to connect.

Consider Directive No. 3025.18 –  the “Defense Support of Civil Authorities,” which was issued Dec. 29, 2010 and is suddenly now making waves in the Conservative media. One of the statements it directs is that “federal military commanders have the authority, in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the president is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale, unexpected civil disturbances”.

Perhaps refugee flows and conflicts over water and food?  Those kinds of ‘unexpected civilian disturbances’?

Obviously Obama is priming his future military officers from West Point to accept combating Climate Change as a reason to wage war on the American people.

Now what could possibly cause an ‘unexpected civilian disturbance that Obama considers to be a national security threat?

Well, other dots to connect are that Obama has to expect some push-back at some point once he shuts down 68 coal-fired electricity plants in the country via the EPA in July, to be followed by hundreds of others within 6 months and at the same time his EPA is  banning of wood cook stoves and other wood burning appliances to ‘combat climate change’.  So not only will we have no affordable electricity to keep warm, we will not be allowed to use anything else that would be cheap to keep warm either.

These are the kinds of things that will incite and cause ‘unexpected civil disturbances’.  And so we can rest easy knowing that Obama has already put in place, Directives to empower the military to crack down on a destitute and miserable people that this regime has created.

Obama just needs the excuse and he will use the ‘legal authority’ he created with his pen, to commit legal warfare upon the people.

This is how genocides are perpetrated…. legally.

I see the picture all these dots connect – and if you are wise – you will prepare for what is going to be seen as self-evident by those looking back on the last few years wondering how could an entire population completely miss what was about to be done to it by the MarxcoFascist leaders who perpetrated a velvet coup with their consent?

I suppose killing the economy and making energy unaffordable for middle class Americans while making alternatives ‘illegal’ will cause exactly what he says he will call men in uniform to ‘quell’.

The picture the dots connected make, is a picture of Soviet-style misery and eradication of those targets the regime decides it must get rid of.

Memo outlines Obama’s plan to use the military against citizens

A 2010 Pentagon directive on military support to civilian authorities details what critics say is a troubling policy that envisions the Obama administration’s potential use of military force against Americans.

…The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones, in operations against domestic unrest.

“This appears to be the latest step in the administration’s decision to use force within the United States against its citizens,” said a defense official opposed to the directive.

Directive No. 3025.18, “Defense Support of Civil Authorities,” was issued Dec. 29, 2010, and states that U.S. commanders “are provided emergency authority under this directive.”

…“Federal action, including the use of federal military forces, is authorized when necessary to protect the federal property or functions,” the directive states.

Military assistance can include loans of arms, ammunition, vessels and aircraft. The directive states clearly that it is for engaging civilians during times of unrest.

A U.S. official said the Obama administration considered but rejected deploying military force under the directive during the recent standoff with Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and his armed supporters.

Mr. Bundy is engaged in a legal battle with the federal Bureau of Land Management over unpaid grazing fees. Along with a group of protesters, Mr. Bundy in April confronted federal and local authorities in a standoff that ended when the authorities backed down.

Balkanized USA: Obama Sets Path and Precedent For Sharia Law To Be Implemented In America

The Obama Regime is quietly creating a two-tier race-based legal system in Hawaii, where one set of taxes, spending and law enforcement will govern one race, and the second set of laws will govern every other race.

The Legal Balkanization of America has begun.  With the push for Amnesty for millions of illiterate illegal Mexicans with threats that Obama will decree them legal if the Republicans do not implement Amnesty, the Obama regime has quietly begun working to establish create a separate government based on race for Hawaiian natives inside Hawaii.

The precedent this will set is beyond mind-boggling.  Kiss ‘Equal Protection Under The Law’ goodbye.  ‘Equal Protections’ will now be deemed to apply only to those races and groups the Obama regime determines deserve special exceptions and privileges.

How long before Mexicans in the USA demand a separate government and rules for themselves?  How long before the Muslims demand a separate government and Sharia Law be established for themselves in America? My guess is that this action is actually in order to set the precedent for Sharia Courts to be established in the United States.   Listening to Activist groups like CAIR – they are ALREADY making such demands and watching this situation in Hawaii so as to use the precedent to create their own fiefdoms inside what used to be the United States of America.

Obama Administration Seeks Race-Based Government In Hawaii

President Barack Obama’s administration has quietly suggested it is willing to create a two-tier race-based legal system in Hawaii, where one set of taxes, spending and law enforcement will govern one race, and the second set of laws will govern every other race.

The diversity proposal is portrayed as an effort to create a separate in-state government for people who are “native Hawaiians.”

If Obama succeeds, “what’s to prevent creating similar [self-governing racial] groups out of say, Cajuns, or Orthodox Jews or Amish?” said Gail Heriot, a commissioner on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

“If you can do that with groups that are already part of the mainstream, you can balkanize the country,” said Heriot, who is a law professor at the University of San Diego.

But the proposed measure to increase legal diversity is illegal because the president doesn’t have the power to grant one group of Americans the status of a separate government, she said.

“There is no constitutional basis for conferring such status, and Congress has repeatedly refused to confer this status,” said Carissa Mulder, a spokeswoman for two members of the federal Commission on Civil Rights.

“This seems to be yet another case of the Obama administration ignoring the law to achieve its policy objectives,” she added.

The move was announced Friday before Memorial Day as White House officials and congressional Democrats stepped up predictions that the president will try to bypass congressional opposition to his progressive policy preferences.

Last week, for example, Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid suggested the president would reduce enforcement of federal immigration law because the House has not agreed to double the current inflow of almost two million immigrants and guest workers per year.

The proposed new legal regime for Hawaii is sketched in a federal document released Friday, dubbed an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.

“The Secretary of the Interior is considering whether to propose an administrative rule that would facilitate the reestablishment of a government-to-government relationship with the Native Hawaiian community,” said the document.

The goal, it claimed, is “to more effectively implement the special political and trust relationship that Congress has established between that [Hawaiian] community and the United States.”

The move is likely intended to protect lucrative financial set-asides for Americans who are also part of the Hawaiian racial group, said Heriot.

These set-aside, which include cheap loans, are being threatened by the Supreme Court’s move to curb racial divisions and imposed racial diversity. In 2000, for example, the court’s Rice vs. Cayetano decision allowed non-Hawaiians to participate in the election of trustees for the state’s wealthy Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

The office holds a large tract of land in Hawaii under a legal trust, which generates revenue that is distributed to racial Hawaiians.

The 7,300 square kilometers of land were granted as a trust to the native Hawaiians in 1920 instead of creating a new tribal reservation that would have segregated Hawaiians from America’s mainstream government, economy and society. The transfer was solidified in 1959 when Hawaiians voted to become a state in the union, and in 1978 by the creation of the office to oversee use of the trust.

The land was awarded as trust, not a reservation, because Hawaiians were full citizens, said Heriot. “They’re part of the mainstream,” she said.

The Cayetano decision shows the court doesn’t want to encourage further moves toward tribal and racial separatism by granting more power to the race-based groups, such as the Office of Hawaiian affairs, she said.

“Once they made that decision, it’s pretty clear that whole is in jeopardy,” over the long run, said Heriot.

In response, Hawaiian groups lobbied Congress to pass the Akaka bill, named after Sen. Daniel Akaka, a native Hawaiian senator.

The bill would have imposing variety on Hawaiians’ shared government, via the creation of a tribal government for Hawaiians.

That bill would have converted Hawaiians’ status from normal Americans into to subgroup similar to American Indians. Many Indians live on reservations governed by tribal governments since they were overrun during the European settlement of north America. The Akaka bill would also have transferred the Hawaiian land to the new tribe, allowing it to be used to generate wealth via gambling and other businesses for racial Hawaiians, she said.

 

Obama Secretly Enacts Housing Rule That Will Force Americans Into Living How & Where He Wants

Obama’s quiet executive action, of “affirmatively furthering fair housing” (AFFH) will force American Suburbs into becoming Progressive Gulags.

The Warsaw Ghetto.  Labor Camps.  Re-education camps.  The Socialist Utopia requires deconstructing and imprisoning those things the Statists do not like.

Think those are relics of an ancient past?  They are blueprints Obama and his MarxoFascists are now following in order to put the nail in the coffin of Middle Class America by transforming suburbs into State-run gulags.

Obama silently issued a new “executive action” entitled “affirmatively furthering fair housing” (AFFH) without any public disclosure or debate.  This rule is being kept secret for now, but will go into full effect  December 2014, right AFTER the mid-term elections.   This Imperial Decree will force Americans into living how and where the federal government wants them to live.  It will ultimately fine and penalize private property owners into complying with new federal rules that will force them out of their homes and surrendering their properties for ‘progress’.  It promises to eliminate the ability of suburbs to set their own zoning codes and laws, federalizing them under direct authority of the Executive.  It will force all future population growth into tiny, densely-packed high-rise zones around public transportation, urbanizing suburbs and Manhattanizing cities.

This ‘rule’ will be done under the various Marxist guises of ‘ending “suburban sprawl”, stopping “climate change”, and providing jobs and ‘equality’ for all.  This rule is the camel’s nose under the tent for the eradication of private property rights and ending state and local sovereignty.

This is exactly what Totalitarian Communist societies always have done, forcing people to move into densely packed areas where they are more easily controlled.

Obama Hits Suburbs After Election

President Obama repeatedly assures us that this will be his “year of action.”  He’ll boldly issue executive orders because “we can’t wait” for Congress.  This has meant a lot of talk about carbon regulation and campus sexual assault, issues that rally the Democratic base in advance of the midterm elections.

Yet not a word has been heard of late about a truly transformative Obama executive action, his rule on “affirmatively furthering fair housing” (AFFH).  That rule will push Americans into living how and where the federal government wants.  It promises to gut the ability of suburbs to set their own zoning codes.  It will press future population growth into tiny, densely-packed high-rise zones around public transportation, urbanizing suburbs and Manhattanizing cities.

You won’t see a more ambitious Obama administration initiative than this.  Yet Obama never discusses AFFH.  Although a preliminary version of the rule was released in July of 2013, the president didn’t mention it in his State of the Union address.  The controversial rule was the subject of a Weekly Standard cover, yet as far as I can tell neither The New York Times nor The Washington Post has ever done a story on AFFH.

Now it emerges that the Obama administration released its planned regulatory agenda quietly on Friday, just ahead of the three-day holiday weekend.  The object, of course, was to minimize press coverage of controversial rules like AFFH.

As I read it, the long-delayed issuing of the finalized version of AFFH is nowscheduled for December of 2014, right after the midterms.  The Obama administration seems to specialize in short-circuiting democratic accountability.  Obama’s reelection bid would likely have failed had he not delayed the implementation of Obamacare until after 2012.  His scheme to nationalize Common Core was developed out of stimulus funding, with no public debate.  Now Obama plans to launch a housing initiative dedicated to gutting suburban independence and urbanizing America, but only after the midterms.

I can’t think of an issue more worthy of public debate and discussion in advance of the 2014 midterm election than the AFFH rule and the Obama administration’s “regionalist” housing policies.  You can see dry runs for what Obama hopes to do with his new housing rule in recent planning initiatives in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Twin Cities.  This is a hugely ambitious program.

There is a way to break the Obama administration’s silence on the AFFH rule and its anti-suburban regionalist agenda.  San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, widely touted as a possible 2016 Democratic vice-presidential candidate, has just been nominated to replace Shaun Donovan, chief architect of the administration’s regionalist policies, as secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Why not ask Castro about his intentions for AFFH, and about the administration’s regionalist policy more generally?  On AFFH, how far will Castro go to force densification?  What penalties will he levy?  What measuring sticks will he use?  What steps will he take to pressure suburban municipalities to participate in regional governing bodies?  How does he square AFFH with America’s long tradition of local governance?

On regionalism and densification more generally, does Castro see the recent planning efforts in San Francisco and Minneapolis—with crucial federal participation in both cases—as models for the country?  Does he agree with former Obama transportation secretary Ray LaHood that the administration’s goal should be to “coerce people out of their cars?”

These are the sorts of questions that the Obama administration has been trying to avoid for the past six years, even as it has systematically moved to change the way Americans live.  If ever there was an issue deserving of legitimate debate before an election, this is it.  And if Julian Castro has hopes of being Vice- President of the United States he ought to be willing to publicly defend the Obama administration’s regionalist policies.  After all, he’ll soon be enforcing them.

Obama blames Founding Fathers’ ‘structural’ design of Congress for gridlock

President Obama is taking a swipe at the Founding Fathers, blaming his inability to move his agenda on the “disadvantage” of having each state represented equally in the Senate.

At a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night, Mr. Obama told a small group of wealthy supporters that there are several hurdles to keeping Democrats in control of the Senate and recapturing the House. One of those problems, he said, is the apportionment of two Senate seats to each state regardless of population.

“Obviously, the nature of the Senate means that California has the same number of Senate seats as Wyoming. That puts us at a disadvantage,” Mr. Obama said.

The Founding Fathers decided in the “Great Compromise” in 1787 to apportion House seats based on population and give each state two seats in the Senate regardless of population. The solution was a compromise between large states and small states in a dispute that nearly dissolved the Constitutional Convention.

The president also blamed “demographics” for the inability of the Democratic Party to gain more power in Congress, saying Democrats “tend to congregate a little more densely” in cities such as New York and Chicago. He said it gives Republicans disproportional clout in Congress.

“So there are some structural reasons why, despite the fact that Republican ideas are largely rejected by the public, it’s still hard for us to break through,” Mr. Obama said.

He also said Democrats suffer from the “congenital disease” of not voting in midterm elections.

 

Overthrowing America: Obama’s MarxoFascist Junta

Obama targets opposition using the IRS.  A corrupt Judiciary declares who can be on a ballot. The Senate moves to Repeal the First Amendment under the guise of election ‘fairness’.

I have said this ad infinitum over the last 5 years: America has seen her last free and “honest” nationally-impacted election.  We went Soviet.  Cook County corruption went national, and this people have no clue whatsoever what has happened to it.

America was overthrown from within – by a Marxist/Fascist juggernaut and nothing is stopping it.  The Ruling Class Republicans are complicit in this coup because they want a piece of the new power paradigm that makes government god, creates a permanent underclass of dependent serfs, and a caste of Nobles whom the underclass must serve without question.  Because after all, in the minds of those who now rule us, we little people cannot be trusted with liberty because we do not know what is good for us.  Government will now decide our fates .  What we think will correspond to what we receive and are allowed to have in conjunction with whom we must vote for, income inequality notwithstanding.

The fact everyone conveniently ignores is that our voice no longer matters when it opposes what the Ruling Class Junta demands.  The rule of law no longer matters, it can be ignored or changed or done away with when it interferes with what the Ruling Class Junta wants.

To wit:

• The IRS will continue to target, intimidate and punish Conservative groups in order to silence them and render any political influence irrelevant.  The paper trail goes all the way to the White House – but the Praetorian MarxoFasicst media has declared via press releases from the DNC that the effort to get to the bottom of the scandal is a ‘racist’ ‘witch hunt’.

• Judge orders 25 term congressman John Conyers to be put onthe ballot after he failed to obtain enough signatures for the primary election.  So when the law is not met, the Ruling Class will simply decree what is legal and what is not by using ideological judges when it cannot decree them by Executive Order.  It will do as it pleases to further the political party and the ideology rather than uphold the law.  The Ruling Class is now selecting candidates the people have to ‘choose’ from, and doing so by judicial or executive order.  This is pure Sovietism.

• 41 Democrat Senators signed onto a bill to repeal the first Amendment:  Senate Joint Resolution 19 – “an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to contributions and expenditures intended to affect elections.  Under the guise of ‘fairness’ Harry Reid and the MarxoFascist Democrats and a few Republicans have decided that you will have no right to support or speak to those issues and candidates the Junta does not approve of.

Don’t look for any help from the Praetorian Media to report any of this.  As the head of CNN recently stated with intensity: “We will not be shamed into covering Benghazi”, nor indeed with it be shamed into covering ANYTHING detrimental to Obama and the MarxoFascist agenda.

I will confess to a little despair over the relatively mild reception that has greeted the evidence, now conclusive and irrefutable, that the Internal Revenue Service, under the direction of senior leaders affiliated with the Democratic party, was used as a political weapon from at least 2010 through the 2012 election. It may be that the American public simply does not care about the issue; it is always difficult, if not impossible, to predict what issues will seize the electorate’s attention, or to understand why after the fact. It may be that the public does not understand the issue, in which case a brief explanation of the known facts may be of some use.

 

When law-enforcement agencies and federal regulators with extraordinary coercive powers are subordinated to political interests rather than their official obligations — to the Party rather than to the law — then the law itself becomes meaningless, and the delicate constitutional order we have enjoyed for more than two centuries is reduced to a brutal might-makes-right proposition.

 

Here is what happened. In the run-up to the 2012 election, senior IRS executives including Lois Lerner, then the head of the IRS branch that oversees the activities of tax-exempt nonprofit groups, began singling out conservative-leaning organizations for extra attention, invasive investigations, and legal harassment. The IRS did not target groups that they believed might be violating the rules governing tax-exempt organizations; rather, as e-mails from the agency document, the IRS targeted these conservative groups categorically, regardless of whether there was any evidence that they were not in compliance with the relevant regulations. Simply having the words “tea party,” “patriot,” or “9/12” (a reference to one of Glenn Beck’s many channels of activism) in the name was enough. Also targeted were groups dedicated to issues such as taxes, spending, debt, and, perhaps most worrisome, those that were simply “critical of the how the country is being run.” Organizations also were targeted based on the identity of their donors. Their applications were delayed, their managements harassed, and the IRS demanded that they answer wildly inappropriate questions, such as the content of their prayers. When an internal review threatened to expose the fact that, in the words of the IRS’s inspector general, the agency was “using inappropriate criteria to identify organizations applying for tax-exempt status,” Ms. Lerner staged an event at a tax-law conference at which she used a planted questioner to preemptively disclose the issue on her own terms, and the agency began claiming that the tea-party targeting, while regrettable, was the work of a few misguided agents at a satellite office in Cincinnati. In fact, the direction came from Washington and was, in the words of the agency’s own e-mails, “coordinated with” a senior manager there, Rob Choi, director of rulings and agreements. This began at the behest of Democratic officeholders, including Senator Carl Levin of Michigan, who requested that the IRS disclose to him information about tea-party groups that it would have been illegal for the IRS to disclose. It subsequently emerged that IRS officials had intentionally misled members of Congress and investigators about the matter.

During this period, IRS operatives were, according to the Office of Special Counsel, openly campaigning for the reelection of Barack Obama on IRS time using IRS resources. A few were later disciplined for their actions, but the extent of the political activity of IRS agents remains unknown.

The IRS is not just a revenue agency — it is a law-enforcement agency, a police agency with far greater powers of investigation and coercion that any normal police force. Its actions in this matter are not only inappropriate — they are illegal. Using government resources for political ends is a serious crime, as is conspiring to mislead investigators about those crimes. But so far, other than holding Lois Lerner in contempt for refusing to comply with the demands of congressional investigators, almost nothing has happened. The characteristic feature of a police state is that those who are entrusted with the power to enforce the law are not themselves bound by it.

Context is again here important. The IRS scandal is not a standalone issue but comes at a time when the Democratic party is seeking to radically expand the power of the federal government to regulate political speech; we can safely assume that the same people who were using the IRS’s political-speech regulations for political ends will have precisely the same motives and precisely the same opportunity to use other political-speech regulations for precisely the same political ends: to benefit their allies and persecute their enemies. So committed are the Democrats to keeping their critics under the thumb of federal police powers that they have introduced an amendment in the Senate that would effectively repeal the free-speech provisions of the First Amendment, those having proved inconvenient to Democrats in Supreme Court rulings such as McCutcheon andCitizens United, the latter case involving a federal attempt to make it a crime to show a film critical of a political figure under unapproved circumstances.

The most important question that must be answered in this matter does not involve the misbehavior of IRS officials and Democratic officeholders, though those are important. Nor is it the question of free speech, vital and fundamental as that is. The question here is nothing less than the legitimacy of the United States government. When law-enforcement agencies and federal regulators with extraordinary coercive powers are subordinated to political interests rather than their official obligations — to the Party rather than to the law — then the law itself becomes meaningless, and the delicate constitutional order we have enjoyed for more than two centuries is reduced to a brutal might-makes-right proposition. Elected officials and public servants of both parties take an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to faithfully discharge the duties of their office. That oath is now being tested. The IRS investigation is no mere partisan scandal, but a moral challenge for the men and women who compose the government of this country. Whether they are sufficient to meet that challenge is far from obvious, but the evidence so far is not encouraging.

 

Obama Treason And Scandals: All To Be Swept Under The Rug

The excuses when asked by brave reporters bucking the Praetorians may end up costing them their careers and lives if history repeats itself when a totalitarian regime decides to eliminate anyone asking questions about it.  For now, ridicule, ostracization and charges of racism seem to be sufficient to silence the majority while the Praetorian Media ideologues at CNN have established the excuse for  the media’s silence on Obama’s various scandals by declaring “We will not be SHAMED INTO Covering Benghazi” – or any of the other scandals and crimes this Marxofascist regime is involved.  The narrative is that the questions and investigations are nothing but Right Wing Tea Party witch-hunts, which in themselves should be deemed criminal and actionable.

Like I said – history teaches us what Totalitarian Marxist regimes do to anyone daring to question, challenge or look into crimes, scandals and tyranny.

For now, it is all getting swept under the rug.

Often there is one iconic picture that captures the essence of a Presidential administration; Gerald Ford falling, Richard Nixon entering the helicopter, Ronald Reagan riding a horse. The above image is the one history will use for the Obama administration. I was going to put this up as a Most Wanted and then I decided against it. I wanted to once more emphasize what a deceitful lying sack of manure our President is and leave it out for a while so the stench can find its way into the nostrils of the agnostic left.

By now we all know about the VA scandal.

We all know that this is a prelude to what Obamacare will look like.

And we all know that this is going the way of all the other scandals. If there was any doubt as to that Obama himself removed it when he said:

“So, if these allegations prove to be true, it is dishonorable, it is disgraceful, and I will not tolerate it, period,”

Several weeks of Obama silence about the scandal passed during which Obama most likely hoped this would go away and undoubtedly sat down with Valerie Jarrett to decide how he should feel about it.

So what does one do when one needs something to be buried? One delays it, just as he has done with Obamacare. And what will the means be to delay this scandal?

“But we have to let the investigators do their job and get to the bottom of what happened.”

Hold on a minute. If these are mere allegations and might not be true, what is it Obama finding “disgraceful” and “dishonorable”? What is it that he won’t “tolerate”?

He is full of shit. There’s no other way to put it.

Obama knew about the trouble at the VA in 2008. He campaigned on it. He ripped Bush about it.

“After seven years of an Administration that has stretched our military to the breaking point, ignored deplorable conditions at some VA hospitals, and neglected the planning and preparation necessary to care for our returning heroes, America’s veterans deserve a President who will fight for them not just when it’s easy or convenient, but every hour of every day for the next four years.”

We have also learned Obama rewarded with bonuses those who allowed the vets to die.

Sharon Helman, the director of the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Health Care System, “got an $8,500 bonus last month while there was an open [inspector general] investigation into Phoenix,” Chairman Miller told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview Wednesday.

It had been previously reported that Helman received more than $9,000 in bonus pay in 2013 on top of her annual salary of $169,900. The VA office of inspector general began investigating the Phoenix VA for wrongdoing in December 2013, months before Helman received the additional $8,500 bonus.

Government rewards with bonuses those who can save it money. The bonus apparently has been rescinded once the media caught wind of this mess, but not before.

Over at the National Journal Ron Fournier asks the question

“How Dumb Does Obama Think We Are?”

as if to distance himself from the rest of the lapdog media.

News quiz: President Obama and his communications team hope that Americans are: 1) Dumb; 2) Distracted; 3) Numb to government inefficiency; 4) All of above.

Answer: 4, all of the above.

That answer along with utter incompetence are the best explanations for why the White House thought it could get away with claiming that the departure of Veterans Affairs official Robert Petzel was a step toward accountability for its scandalous treatment of war veterans.

Fournier adds:

For all of its 21st-century savvy in the field of campaign technology, the Obama White House has repeatedly proven that its communications philosophy is stuck in the 20th century. Before the Internet gave voters instantaneous access to information, including every public utterance of the president and his team, White House strategists could hope to wear out the truth: If you said a lie enough, people might believe it.

In high school I had a Social Studies teacher who, when one of us uttered something with a shred of intelligence, would proclaim

“Came the dawn!”

Mr. Fournier, you are dumb. Obama knows you’re dumb. You’ve been dumb since 2007 when Obama decided to run for President. You and your colleagues put all of your journalistic tools in the junk drawer, sat on Obama’s lap and decided to swallow all the lies and propaganda because Obama was a novelty President. Every single scandal has been handled in this manner- hide it, lie about it, deny it, obstruct it, delay it. Obama continues to do it because you and your dumbass colleagues have let Obama get away with it.

There is an old joke that goes like this:

The story is told of the farmer who sold a rube a mule, telling the rube that the mule would only respond to Tender Loving Care. A week later the rube returned, irate, because the mule refused all commands and did no work whatsoever.

“Really,” said the farmer thoughtfully. He went to his woodpile, selected a firm branch, and with all his might bashed the mule right across the eyes with it. The mule’s four legs shot straight out, it brayed in outrage, and collapsed in a heap.

“Hey!” shouted the rube as the mule slowly staggered back to consciousness. “I thought you said the mule needed TLC!”

“He does – but first you’ve got to get his attention.”

You wonder how many times you have to bash a journalist. Still, there is a glimmer of hope:

The VA has admitted that at least 23 veterans nationwide died while waiting to see a doctor.

“If these allegations prove to be true, it is dishonorable, it is disgraceful, and I will not tolerate it, period,” Obama said in the press conference.

But Griffin told CNN’s Jake Tapper afterward that he was “caught off guard by what apparently is a disconnect by what’s happening out in the country and what the president is talking about.”

No investigation is needed to determine whether the abuses actually happened, Griffin said.

“I hate to be curt, but these GAO reports, these Office of Inspector General reports, these memos dating back to 2010 and 2008 — this problem is real,” he said. “It exists. It really doesn’t have to be studied as to what’s going on.

“The government has done its job studying these issues, and to say that you’re going to now wait for yet again more studies to come back and more fact-finding to come back, I would think that the vets I’ve been talking to, wanted much more direct action of what actually is going to happen going forward, instead of, ‘wait and see and then we’ll decide what’s going to happen going forward.’”

Griffin pointed out that the White House has been pointing out in recent days that Obama knew of the long wait times for years. The Bush administration told the Obama transition team about it in 2008, but Obama was talking about it on the campaign trail and as a U.S. senator as early as 2007.

“At the same time he was saying he’s known about this problem for years and years and years and it goes back decades, far past into other people’s presidencies, and yet we’re five years into his presidency and the problem seems to be certainly not better and perhaps even worse,” Griffin said.

But I am not holding my breath.

Obama’s lip service treatment of veterans should come as no surprise to anyone with a brain:

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance.

Sadly, we know the truth. Obama supporters have no brain and that’s not covered by Obamacare.

After nearly six years of President Obama declaring debates over and issues decided, it’s hardly a surprise that the left has shifted that principle elsewhere. The first open sodomite in NFL history was drafted in the 7th round on Saturday. ESPN just happened to show the announcement from the draft podium, something they hadn’t done for other draftees since the 5th round and hadn’t done with regularity since the 2nd round. They just happened to know he would be drafted by the St. Louis Rams.

It all felt very orchestrated. The message was clear from ESPN, we were all expected to approve. ESPN cut away to wherever Sam was, we all got the unfortunate glimpse of him making out with his sodomite lover. We’ve reached the point where children can’t even watch the NFL draft…

Pathetic – Obama’s America Has Been Emasculated To Begging Terrorists Via Twitter

The once Great Superpower that would confront atrocities and evil in the world, relegated to BEGGING Islamic Terrorists in Nigeria with signs.

The world is laughing it’s collective arses off at us.

Obama has single-handedly shown the world that America is a weak, pathetic nation.  From Putin’s invasion of Crimea, to North Korea’s and Iran’s belligerence with nuclear weapons – America continues to sink to new lows of telegraphing pathetic weakness.

Now, after a horrific Jihadist terror attack and kidnapping of 300 school girls in Nigeria whereby the Al-Qaeda-linked terror group Boko Haram has vowed to sell into slavery, Obama demonstrates the limits of our foreign policy and power by having his wife hold up signs begging Islamic Jihadists to stop their evil via Twitter hashtags.

More than Pathetic.

Derelict.  Foolish.  Reprehensible.

It is hard not to have total contempt for a political culture that thinks the picture at right is a useful contribution to rescuing 276 schoolgirls kidnapped by jihadist savages in Nigeria. Yet some pajama boy at the White House evidently felt getting the First Lady to pose with this week’s Hashtag of Western Impotence would reflect well upon the Administration. The horrible thing is they may be right: Michelle showed she cared – on social media! – and that’s all that matters, isn’t it?

Just as the last floppo hashtag, #WeStandWithUkraine, didn’t actually involve standing with Ukraine, so #BringBackOurGirls doesn’t require bringing back our girls. There are only a half-dozen special forces around the planet capable of doing that without getting most or all of the hostages killed: the British, the French, the Americans, Israelis, Germans, Aussies, maybe a couple of others. So, unless something of that nature is being lined up, those schoolgirls are headed into slavery, and the wretched pleading passivity of Mrs Obama’s hashtag is just a form of moral preening.

…~Arguments about why Hillary Clinton refused to put Boko Haram on the State Department terror list are about as useful as an Obama hashtag right now. But it is worth remembering that the group’s first terrorism attack was a recent as 2011. They are, therefore, part of the same metastasization of jihadist violence throughout the northern half of the African continent as the Benghazi assault and the Kenyan shopping-mall attack. This growth of al-Qaeda affiliates went on throughout almost the entirety of Obama’s first term, but because Joe Biden had a cute line (“bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive”) nobody paid any attention to it. #NothingToSeeHere.

 

 

Despotism In America – Foretold With Chilling Accuracy

America’s fate is sealed if the warnings of history and human nature tell us anything about where we have arrived as a nation and a people.

History repeats itself because people forget the lessons of history.   200 years ago, historian Alexis DeToqueville wrote an exhaustive examination of the American experiment in a 2-volume book entitled “Democracy In America“.

DeToqueville was curious how liberty and freedom were protected and enshrined in the aftermath of the War of Independence in the American Republic, but failed miserably in his native France to tyranny and terror shortly after our own Constitution was written.  How could Democracy work in one case, but fail and fall into terror and dictatorship in another?

His work is a seminal masterpiece that nails the reasons for success in the American Republic, and also nails the reasons for much of mankind’s history with despotic governments and tyranny.  While lauding the genius of America’s founding system, there are several parts of “Democracy In America” that read like prophetic warnings – and indeed they are.  The history of man is replete with examples of what always occurs to a self-governing people once they stray from their founding principles.  What DeToqueville notes that most in today’s America do not allow themselves to consider, is how fragile our liberty and Republic were.

For all our technology and advances in knowledge, America has lost it’s wisdom once held in high esteem and valued in our society.  We have ignored the warnings of scripture and our Founders themselves.  We have devolved into a post-modern, post-Constitutional mobocracy led by an oligarchy.  Something DeToqueville warned about with chilling accuracy when one considers where we now are with what he wrote.

Thanks to Mark Levin on his radio program last night for reminding those of us who have read this work, just how prophetic and prescient it is.  DeToqueville warns in Volume II Chapter VI about the kind of despotism a nation like America had to fear, and Mark read this part of the chapter on air.  He followed with a question every American now should ask himself: is this where we have arrived?  Is Despotism now our fate?

Read this part of the chapter yourself and ask yourself that same question.

A warning witness was given to us IN ADVANCE of where this civil society would go if we were not diligent to safeguard it from man’s nature to rule and dominate others.

Chapter VI: What Sort of Despotism Democratic Nations Have to Fear 

Page 770-772

I seek to trace the novel features under which despotism may appear in the world. The first thing that strikes the observation is an innumerable multitude of men all equal and alike, incessantly endeavoring to procure the petty and paltry pleasures with which they glut their lives. Each of them, living apart, is as a stranger to the fate of all the rest – his children and his private friends constitute to him the whole of mankind; as for the rest of his fellow-citizens, he is close to them, but he sees them not – he touches them, but he feels them not; he exists but in himself and for himself alone; and if his kindred still remain to him, he may be said at any rate to have lost his country. Above this race of men stands an immense and tutelary power, which takes upon itself alone to secure their gratifications, and to watch over their fate. That power is absolute, minute, regular, provident, and mild.

This reads like a history of the last 20 to 40 years in America.  How detached from We The People are those politicians in Washington?  How above us do the Obama’s live on our tax dollars, eating Waygu beef and enjoying multiple million-dollar vacations while lecturing us to eat vegetables and sacrifice for the ‘greater good’?  Is the government not now become the arbiter of granting multitudes of ‘civil rights’ to satisfy every desire and demand both benign and obscene?  He goes on to describe how a people would succumb and surrender to such a meddlesome tyranny:

It would be like the authority of a parent, if, like that authority, its object was to prepare men for manhood; but it seeks on the contrary to keep them in perpetual childhood: it is well content that the people should rejoice, provided they think of nothing but rejoicing. For their happiness such a government willingly labors, but it chooses to be the sole agent and the only arbiter of that happiness: it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principal concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances – what remains, but to spare them all the care of thinking and all the trouble of living?

Thus it every day renders the exercise of the free agency of man less useful and less frequent; it circumscribes the will within a narrower range, and gradually robs a man of all the uses of himself. The principle of equality has prepared men for these things: it has predisposed men to endure them, and oftentimes to look on them as benefits.

What is the main push and point from the MarxoFascist Left in America?

Equality.  Making everyone equal except themselves.  Forcing all into the lowest common denominator by force of law and regulation.  ObamaCare is one of the greatest mechanisms for tyranny in our time – yet this people not only are surrendering to it and enduring it, but are accepting the political lecturing that such tyranny is a ‘benefit’.

After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp, and fashioned them at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided: men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting: such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to be nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd.

Is this not what we in America have become?  A flock of timid and industrious animals that are herded by the government because it is seen as a god and shepherd?  The government then limiting and punishing individuals and enterprises to the point we all feel like we are in chains?

Then DeToqueville lays out what almost seems like a blueprint that America followed to get us to this point of our devolution into a subservience to despotism and slavery to the state.

I have always thought that servitude of the regular, quiet, and gentle kind which I have just described, might be combined more easily than is commonly believed with some of the outward forms of freedom; and that it might even establish itself under the wing of the sovereignty of the people. Our contemporaries are constantly excited by two conflicting passions; they want to be led, and they wish to remain free: as they cannot destroy either one or the other of these contrary propensities, they strive to satisfy them both at once. They devise a sole, tutelary, and all-powerful form of government, but elected by the people. They combine the principle of centralization and that of popular sovereignty; this gives them a respite; they console themselves for being in tutelage by the reflection that they have chosen their own guardians. Every man allows himself to be put in leading- strings, because he sees that it is not a person or a class of persons, but the people at large that holds the end of his chain. By this system the people shake off their state of dependence just long enough to select their master, and then relapse into it again. A great many persons at the present day are quite contented with this sort of compromise between administrative despotism and the sovereignty of the people; and they think they have done enough for the protection of individual freedom when they have surrendered it to the power of the nation at large.

And that my countrymen, could be engraved on the epitaph of our nation as the reason we succumbed.
