America Off The Cliff – The Land Of Evil And Obamination

America has been given over to an evil debased mind and culture.  Evil now rules us and the wickedness being sown will reap a whirlwind of horrifying judgment that will shock the nations.

The following two essays are sentiments I share wholeheartedly as the night falls upon what is left of the late great Republic that was once a shining city on a hill.  Sadly, we deserve what is coming by our individual and collective sins as a people who have abandoned God for self.

Devil Days in the USA

There is nothing hidden that will not be revealed (Luke 8:17), and we are now seeing revealed the depths of barbarity and evil of the euphemistically named Planned Parenthood.  We’re also seeing the insane lengths to which Hell’s gatekeepers will go to defend the butchering and sale of tiny baby bodies.  This nation is going to pay dearly for this abomination.  While the rabid defenders of this dark evil ludicrously try to claim it’s done for “scientific research,” I assure you that God will never allow any lifesaving medical breakthroughs to be achieved from using little baby bodies as guinea pigs.  NEVER.  The only thing that will come from such abominable “scientific research” is destruction on the nation that allows it to happen.  We are being warned right now.  That’s why this is coming to light when it is, shortly after the highest court in our land has illegally imposed a grotesque distortion of the meaning of marriage on the United States, a distortion based on detestable sexual behavior that God calls an abomination to Him.

We are also watching our nation fall under the complete control of communist enemies who have taken over our federal government.  I don’t give a rip if anyone is unable or unwilling to see this (got that, you perversity-loving, Right Wing Watch nutters?).  It is the truth.  Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) is an enemy of the United States.  His fellow-traveling crime syndicate of an administration is full of enemies of freedom and pushers of tyranny.  They are working to tear down the freedoms and foundation of this nation.  They are destroying our constitutional Republic.  They are giving aid and comfort to our enemies, who are clearly their friends.  This is treason.  Yet there is no opposition in Congress or the courts to anything these people do, no matter how illegal or outrageous.

Why is there no opposition?  There is no doubt in my mind that those who are in the supposed opposition party are scared to death to do the right thing.  Even if they are truly opposed to the Obama Crime Syndicate, they fear to cross it.  They are being credibly threatened, bribed or otherwise coerced into non-action, and I supposed there may be some who even agree with Obama’s communist program.  The result is that we now have a communist dictator ruling the United States of America.

This is the beginning of Devil Days in the U.S.A.  The darkest days are yet to come.  Pure tyranny and destruction are headed our way.  I’m sorry if you hate to read this.  Maybe you disagree.  Hide and watch, or better yet, watch and pray, as Jesus commands.  I know of no other way to call it than as I see it.  We are well beyond a political solution, because what ails this nation is the deep corruption of a terminally diseased soul.  For this, there is no superficial cure.

While the majority of Americans (still a majority, I’m certain) do not agree with the evil society being pushed on this nation, the fact is that those in positions of power do, and we will all sink with this reprobate ship.  This nation, collectively, embraces, celebrates and mandates the most degenerate sexual behavior known to man.  This nation is using the money of its people to fund unspeakably hellish obscenities being perpetrated on the bodies of little murdered human babies, thereby making all taxpayers culpable.  The spirit of antichrist, which infects our leaders, is running the show today.

None of this means we will stop speaking against what’s happening, although I admit I am a bit weary of staring into the abyss as I watch the leaders of our nation eagerly fling the U.S. down into it.  It gets tiring repeatedly shouting from the rooftops and preaching to the choir, while the “low-information” people around us aggressively wrap themselves in apathy and ignorance, many foolishly embracing their own destruction.  It’s hard to write when I know we’re powerless to stop the demonic monster machine that’s destroying our nation.  Don’t tell me we can elect a savior.  It ain’t happening.

Speaking of Savior, however, Jesus is the only thing that keeps us sane—those of us who belong to Him, that is.  The only source for hope in this desperately lost and dying world is God, through His Son Jesus, Who gave His precious, sinless life so that we hopeless sinners could have a way to eternal life, redeemed from eternal death.  The United States will fade and fall, and it remains to be seen if its fall will be swift and sudden or not, but what will stand forever is the Word of God.  If you have never done so, now is the time to look into the truth that is only found in the Bible.  Seek salvation through Jesus Christ today, and these Devil Days will be a quickly fleeting bump on the road to an eternity of joy and peace with the one true God Who loves us more than we can possibly imagine.

The Most Evil Government In American History

America is not a great nation, and it hasn’t been for a very long time.  Any government that gives hundreds of millions of dollars each year to an organization that systematically murders babies, harvests their internal organs and ships them off to laboratories where they are used in experiments can hardly be called “great”.  Back in the 1980s, Ronald Reagan referred to the Soviet Union as “the evil empire”, but today it is the Russians that are calling us “evil” and “godless”.  And you know what?  When Vladimir Putin called us “godless” he was 100 percent correct.  Someday when history judges us, we will fully deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Stalin’s Russia, Mao’s China and Hitler’s Germany.  Our consciences have been so seared that we have absolutely no sense of perspective anymore.  We get all bent out of shape over the killing of Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe, but the trafficking of the body parts and internal organs of millions of our own babies hardly elicits any reaction at all.

Yes, the killing of that lion in Zimbabwe was a horrible crime, and I hope that dentist is held accountable for it.

But how can that possibly compare to the absolutely sickening crimes against humanity that are being committed by Planned Parenthood every single day?

The death of Cecil the Lion has provoked a huge reaction from the American people.  The following examples come from Townhall…

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has called for the hunter involved, Dr. Walter Palmer, to be hanged. The puppy-killing, celebrity-studded, publicity-stunt-centered organization epitomizes the insanely hypocritical, progressive approach. The death threats through Yelp and Twitter are repugnant, but unsurprising given their disdain for human life.

Celebrities have tweeted their utter disgust for the wealthy dentist. Debra Messing (Will & Grace, Mysteries of Laura) says: “I want them to take his citizenship away.” Sharon Osbourne hopes that “#WalterPalmer loses his home, his practice & his money. He has already lost his soul…#WalterPalmer is Satan.” Piers Morgan, proving that being a news journalist was never his forte, tweets: “I’d love to go hunting for killer dentist Dr. Walter Palmer, so I can stuff and mount him for MY office wall.”

And there is nothing wrong with being upset about the death of Cecil the Lion.  It upset me as well.

But what about the Nazi-like atrocities that are being carried out day after day with the full endorsement of the Obama administration?

I don’t know how anyone can read those articles without being absolutely sickened and horrified.

So how is the White House responding to all of this?

The Obama administration is staunchly defending Planned Parenthoodand has chosen to attack those that made the undercover videos instead…

The White House expressed its firm belief Thursday that recently-released videos attacking Planned Parenthood are “fraudulent.” Their source: Planned Parenthood.

Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary, was speaking with reporters when they raised the matter of the videos released by the Center for Medical Progress which appear to show Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of fetal organs for profit, a violation of federal law. He claimed the videos were released in a “fraudulent way” with “not a lot of evidence” behind them.

“There is ample reason to think that this is merely the tried and true tactic that we’ve seen from extremists on the right to edit this video and selectively release this edited version of the video that grossly distorts the position of the person that’s actually speaking,” Earnest said.

This is a level of evil that is almost unspeakable.

The Obama administration has stated that it will veto any bill passed by Congress to defund Planned Parenthood, and the Justice Department has already announced that it is going to conduct a formal investigation of the Center for Medical Progress.

Of course the Obama administration and Congress have already known for years that Planned Parenthood was selling the body parts of dead babies.  So this is nothing new.  It is just that these new undercover videos have brought the issue into the spotlight.

And the Republicans are far from innocent in this matter.  When George W. Bush was in the White House and when the Republicans had control of Congress there was no effort to try to defund Planned Parenthood even though they knew that this was going on.

But Obama has taken things to a whole new level.  He seems to revel in all of this evil.  According to CNS News, the president of Planned Parenthood has actually made 39 visits to the White House since Barack Obama took power…

Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, head of the taxpayer-subsidized abortion giant currently facing a firestorm for allegedly selling body parts harvested from aborted babies, has made personal visits to the White House 39 times since President Barack Obama took office in 2009, White House records show.

According to online records on the White House website, Richards first visited the White House on Jan. 20, 2009 — the same day Obama first took office. Since then, Richards has met with Obama alone at least three times and First Lady Michelle Obama at least twice. She also met with president and his wife together another four times.

And of course the woman that many believe is most likely to be our next president is standing up for Planned Parenthood as well.  Just check out what Hillary Clinton told reporters just the other day…

“It is unfortunate that Planned Parenthood has been the object of such a concerted attack for so many years,” she said, “and it’s really an attack against a woman’s right to choose, to make the most personal difficult decisions that any woman would face.”

It is hard to imagine anyone being a worse president than Barack Obama, but Hillary Clinton would certainly give him a run for his money.

While the mainstream media in the United States endlessly attacks other candidates, they pretty much give Hillary Clinton a free pass even though she has far more scandals in her past than anyone.

The arrogance of the Clintons is absolutely astounding.  Even though they knew that Hillary was going to run for president, Bill has still been running around sleeping with other women.  The following comes from an article that was published by the Daily Mail just this week…

Just last year Ronald Kessler’s book, ‘The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of Presidents,’ which detailed Hillary’s derisive treatment of her Secret Service team, claimed that Clinton had a busty mistress nicknamed ‘the Energizer’ by his security staff.

Now Kessler, whose book is currently out in paperback, is in no doubt that more revelations will emerge as the presidential campaign heats up.

Speaking to Daily Mail Online Kessler said: ‘There’s no question that more will be coming out about Bill Clinton’s sexual antics as the campaign heats up – more details that will surely embarrass Hillary and maybe even end up defeating her.’

Among the revelations in his book are explosive claims that Clinton has a ‘blonde, busty mistress, and she’s been code named Energizer by agents.’

He reveals, ‘This is unofficially, but it’s what they call her…She comes in to the Chappaqua home whenever Hillary leaves. The details coordinate to make sure they don’t cross paths. She, unlike Hillary, is very nice to the [security] agents. She’ll bring cookies.’

Sadly, the truth is that our politicians are a reflection of who we have become as a nation.

The reason why we have evil leaders is because we have become evil.

Back in World War II, we fought to rid the world of the Nazis, but now we are becoming the Nazis.

Very shortly, we are going to be moving into a time when lots of really bad things are going to start happening to this nation.

And you know what?

We are going to deserve all of it.

I believe that right now we are being given an opportunity to see just how wicked we have become.

But there is no sign that we are turning away from that evil.  Instead, we just keep racing into even more depravity.

Killing babies and selling their body parts is wicked.

There is no middle ground.

And since this is the path that our nation has willingly chosen, we will receive the appropriate judgment for this great evil from the God who created all things.

Germanwings Air Crash In Alps Deliberate?

Cockpit voice recorder reveals Germanwings Pilot Was Locked Out of Cockpit Before Crash

The Obama regime was insistent and immediate in it’s assertion that the Germanwings Airbus A320 passenger jet crash in the French Alps was NOT terrorism.  Today it is reported in the Birdcage Liner of Record, the New York Times – that the cockpit voice recorder reveals that for reasons unknown, as soon as the aircraft reached cruising altitude, one pilot left the cockpit and the other pilot locked him out and immediately put the airliner into a rapid 8 minute decent that obliterated the airliner on impact in the craggy mountain jetta of the French Alps.

The voice recorder reveals that the other pilot was unable to enter the cockpit and knocking led to pounding followed by attempts to break down the door according to one senior military official involved in the investigation.

Why was the other pilot locked out after leaving?  Why did the remaining cockpit pilot put the airliner into a ‘controlled steep dive’?

Some, desperate to lend benefits of doubt – may wonder if the other pilot suffered a heart attack the moment the other pilot left the cockpit.  What are those odds?  The recorder indicates that there was a smooth, very cool conversation up to the moment the other pilot left the cockpit.   No indication of the other pilot feeling unwell.  So, as soon as one pilot leaves, the other pilot puts the plane into a steep controlled dive? No mayday – no attempt to call for help – no answering the frantic bangs on the cockpit door?

Your bad feeling about this is certainly the same feeling many of us have in an era of Jihadism working to wreak havoc across the globe to establish their Caliphates.

I just find it interesting how insistent this Obama regime is to insist that Islamic terrorism does not exist.

Germanwings Pilot Was Locked Out of Cockpit Before Crash in France

As officials struggled Wednesday to explain why a jet with 150 people on board crashed in relatively clear skies, an investigator said evidence from a cockpit voice recorder indicated one pilot left the cockpit before the plane’s descent and was unable to get back in.

A senior military official involved in the investigation described “very smooth, very cool” conversation between the pilots during the early part of the flight from Barcelona to Düsseldorf. Then the audio indicated that one of the pilots left the cockpit and could not re-enter.

“The guy outside is knocking lightly on the door and there is no answer,” the investigator said. “And then he hits the door stronger and no answer. There is never an answer.”

He said, “You can hear he is trying to smash the door down.”

White House Marxists Calls Republicans “Traitors” To Obama’s Iran Nuke Plan – Pot, Kettle, Black

Democrat Marxists go berserk over letter GOP Senators wrote to Iran in opposition to Obama’s unilateral plan to allow Iran to make nukes, ignoring their own history of sabotaging Presidents, Policies and Comforting Enemies of the United States.

The New York Daily News headlined its front page “traitors” in reference to Republicans who wrote a letter to the Iranian regime informing them about our Constitutional process so that whatever secret deals they make with Obama about their nukes – Congress will have a say in the ultimate decision.

The House Republicans had to take this position because Obama had already stated he was going to implement a nuclear agreement with the Jihadist Iranian regime CIRCUMVENTING CONGRESS – and acting in secret with Iranian’s Mullahs which will allow them to create nuclear weapons over time – a deal in which Obama has no such authority to make.  Essentially the Senate Republicans stated what their Constitutional roles and duties are according to the Supreme Law of our land, a statement that Leftist Moonbats and the Obama regime have said or implied is TREASON.  Not treason to the Constitution which their letter to Iran details – rather treason to Obama and a bastardization of an obscure act their party’s members have always skirted in their own historical aid and comfort of America’s enemies.

Obama went so far as to accuse them of what he, himself has been engaging in.  Obama accused the Republicans of aligning themselves with ‘Iran’s Hardliners” which could not be further from the truth, given the actual content of the letter itself – but the media narrative is what Obama’s narrative is, and the truth is whatever Obama says it is.

Leftists in the regime and their storm trooping “progressive” sycophants are demanding criminal charges be filed and arrests made against  these Republicans for violating The Logan Act.

A White House Petition to arrest and charge the Senate with treason has reached over 200,000 signatures – and it will be interesting to see if the Dictator will truly find his inner Che and do what Fidel would do to his political opposition by ridiculous re-interpretation of laws to benefit his sole intent to impose omnipresent authority.

It’s interesting that when Democrats have written, met with or used backchannels to undermine Nixon, Reagan and the Bushs’ foreign policies – such declarations of treason (and some of it decidedly was) were never made and pursued.  But Marxists are in this for their glorious complete revolution – and in keeping with their history – all Revolutionistas demand blood flow when their revolutions reach the absolute power stage.

Which is where we are nearly at.

Showdown Between White House, Democrats and Republicans Over Iran Just Got Uglier

The showdown between the White House, Democrats and Republicans just got a whole lot uglier.

The latest clash comes after 47 Senators sent a letter directly to Iranian leaders yesterday explaining that the President of the United States doesn’t have unilateral authority to make a deal with the regime. They also warned if President Obama acts alone and doesn’t consult Congress before making a deal, the deal will be considered temporary.

…As a refresher, controversy between the White House and Republicans on Capitol Hill started in January when House Speaker John Boehner invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress and to warn the world about the threat of a nuclear Iran. Boehner did this without first consulting the White House. After Netanyahu accepted the invitation and delivered his speech last week, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed she nearly cried because she was so offended. Leading up to the speech, White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice claimed Netanyahu’s speech would “tear at the fabric” of the U.S.-Israeli relationship while other White House officials warned his remarks could torpedo U.S. talks with Iran over a deal regarding their nuclear program.

“Biden wrote in a scathing letter: “The decision to undercut our President and circumvent our constitutional system offends me as a matter of principle. As a matter of policy, the letter and its authors have also offered no viable alternative to the diplomatic resolution with Iran that their letter seeks to undermine.”

Last night, President Obama accused Republicans of aligning themselves with Iranian “hardliners” for sending the letter.

“I think it’s somewhat ironic to see some members for Congress wanting to make common cause with the hard-liners in Iran,” Obama said. “It’s an unusual coalition.”

The White House has been clear that any deal with Iran will not be a treaty and therefore will not require ratification from Congress.

Meanwhile the Iranians who fund the world’s largest terror organization, Hezbollah, continue their nuclear secrecy and goals of wiping Israel off the map.

 

7 TIMES DEMOCRATS ADVISED AMERICA’S ENEMIES TO OPPOSE THE PRESIDENT

On Monday, 47 United States Senators sent an open letter to the Iranian regime warning that any deal cut by President Obama could be revoked by Congress.

“The next president,” the letter stated, “could revoke such an executive agreement with the stroke of a pen, and future Congresses could modify the terms of the agreement at any time.”

This sent the Obama administration and its media allies into a tizzy of rage. After all, it is one thing for the president of the United States to send secret love letters to the ayatollahs; it is quite another for GOP members of the Senate to warn the Iranians that they will not abide by a bad deal.

Vice President Joe Biden said that the Republican letter was “beneath the dignity of an institution I revere,” adding, “In thirty-six years in the United States Senate, I cannot recall another instance in which Senators wrote directly to advise another country – much less a longtime foreign adversary – that the President does not have the constitutional authority to reach a meaningful understanding with them.” Josh Earnest of the White House said that the letter was “a continuation of a partisan strategy to undermine the president’s ability to conduct foreign policy and advance our national security interests around the globe.”

The New York Daily News headlined its front page “traitors.”

Jon Lovett, former White House speechwriter and current failed TV sitcom writer, tweeted, “SHAME is the best medicine for these 47 Republicans. And they shall have it!” Other Democrats in the media said that Republicans were pushing war as an alternative to peace.

This is sheer nonsense. It was the Obama administration that suggested no deal was better than a bad deal. But given the false dichotomy between any deal and war, that suggestion was obviously a ruse.

Nonetheless, several Republicans declined to sign. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN), ever one to solicit the love of the mainstream media, said he wouldn’t sign onto the letter because “it was probably not something that was going to be helpful in that effort, for me to be involved in it.” Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) also declined to sign on, as did Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who said that the letter was not “necessary.” Others who did not sign included Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Dan Coats (R-IN), Thad Cochran (R-MS), and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).

Democrats have said that the letter may violate the Logan Act, which states:

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Legally speaking, charges under the Logan Act would be unwarranted. The Logan Act has never actually been used for prosecution, nor has its Constitutionality been seriously reviewed in two hundred years.

And if Republicans supposedly violated the Logan Act, so did these Democrats:

Senators John Sparkman (D-AL) and George McGovern (D-SD). The two Senators visited Cuba and met with government actors there in 1975. They said that they did not act on behalf of the United States, so the State Department ignored their activity.

Senator Teddy Kennedy (D-MA). In 1983, Teddy Kennedy sent emissaries to the Soviets to undermine Ronald Reagan’s foreign policy. According to a memo finally released in 1991 from head of the KGB Victor Chebrikov to then-Soviet leader Yuri Andropov:

On 9-10 May of this year, Sen. Edward Kennedy’s close friend and trusted confidant [John] Tunney was in Moscow. The senator charged Tunney to convey the following message, through confidential contacts, to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Y. Andropov.

What was the message? That Teddy would help stifle Reagan’s anti-Soviet foreign policy if the Soviets would help Teddy run against Reagan in 1984. Kennedy offered to visit Moscow to “arm Soviet officials with explanations regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and more convincing during appearances in the USA.” Then he said that he would set up interviews with Andropov in the United States. “Kennedy and his friends will bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interviews…Like other rational people, [Kennedy] is very troubled by the current state of Soviet-American relations,” the letter explained. The memo concluded:

Tunney remarked that the senator wants to run for president in 1988. Kennedy does not discount that during the 1984 campaign, the Democratic Party may officially turn to him to lead the fight against the Republicans and elect their candidate president.

House Speaker Jim Wright (D-TX). In 1984, 10 Democrats sent a letter to Daniel Ortega Saavedra, the head of the military dictatorship in Nicaragua, praising Saavedra for “taking steps to open up the political process in your country.” House Speaker Jim Wright signed the letter.

In 1987, Wright worked out a deal to bring Ortega to the United States to visit with lawmakers. As The New York Times reported:

There were times when the White House seemed left out of the peace process, uninformed, irritated. ”We don’t have any idea what’s going on,” an Administration official said Thursday. And there was a bizarre atmosphere to the motion and commotion: the leftist Mr. Ortega, one of President Reagan’s arch enemies, heads a Government that the Administration has been trying to overthrow by helping to finance a war that has killed thousands of Nicaraguans on both sides. Yet he was freely moving around Washington, visiting Mr. Wright in his Capitol Hill office, arguing his case in Congress and at heavily covered televised news conferences. He criticized President Reagan; he recalled that the United States, whose troops intervened in Nicaragua several times between 1909 and 1933, had supported the Somoza family dictatorship which lasted for 43 years until the Sandinistas overthrew it in 1979.

Ortega then sat next to Wright as he presented a “detailed cease-fire proposal.” The New York Times said, “Mr. Ortega seemed delighted to turn to Mr. Wright.”

Senator John Kerry (D-MA). Kerry jumped into the pro-Sandanista pool himself in 1985, when he traveled to Nicaragua to negotiate with the regime. He wasn’t alone; Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) joined him. The Christian Science Monitor reported that the two senators “brought back word that Mr. Ortega would be willing to accept a cease-fire if Congress rejected aid to the rebels…That week the House initially voted down aid to the contras, and Mr. Ortega made an immediate trip to Moscow.” Kerry then shilled on behalf of the Ortega government:

We are still trying to overthrow the politics of another country in contravention of international law, against the Organization of American States charter. We negotiated with North Vietnam. Why can we not negotiate with a country smaller than North Carolina and with half the population of Massachusetts? It’s beyond me. And the reason is that they just want to get rid of them [the Sandinistas], they want to throw them out, they don’t want to talk to them.

Representatives Jim McDermott (D-WA), David Bonior (D-MI), and Mike Thompson (D-CA). In 2002, the three Congressmen visited Baghdad to play defense for Saddam Hussein’s regime. There, McDermott laid the groundwork for the Democratic Party’s later rip on President George W. Bush, stating, “the president of the United States will lie to the American people in order to get us into this war.” McDermott, along with his colleagues, suggested that the American administration give the Iraqi regime “due process” and “take the Iraqis on their face value.” Bonior said openly he was acting on behalf of the government:

The purpose of our trip was to make it very clear, as I said in my opening statement, to the officials in Iraq how serious we–the United States is about going to war and that they will have war unless these inspections are allowed to go unconditionally and unfettered and open. And that was our point. And that was in the best interest of not only Iraq, but the American citizens and our troops. And that’s what we were emphasizing. That was our primary concern–that and looking at the humanitarian situation.

Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV). The Constitution of the United States delegates commander-in-chief power to the president of the United States. Section 2 clearly states, “He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur…” As Professor Jack Goldsmith of Harvard Law School writes, Senators have a good argument that “the President lacks the authority under the U.S. Constitution to negotiate a pure Executive agreement in this context.  Almost all major arms control agreements have been made as treaties that needed Senate consent, and the one major exception, the Salt I treaty, was a congressional-executive agreement.”

One who might agree: former Senator Joe Biden, whose White House profile explains, “then-Senator Biden played a pivotal role in shaping US foreign policy.” Among other elements of that role: decrying President George W. Bush’s surge in Iraq as “a tragic mistake” and vowing, “I will do everything in my power to stop it.” As Tom Cotton said this morning, “If Joe Biden respects the dignity of the institution of the Senate, he should be insisting that the President submit any deal to approval of the Senate, which is exactly what he did on numerous deals during his time in Senate.”

Lesson Of Blizzard 2015: Americans Are Become A Nation Of Helpless Wimps

Old America, the land of the free and the brave is gone.  In a media-fed Panic, Cities shut down, transportation is closed, and America shows the world we are affrighted souls that will cower before a Winter snow.

Once upon a time in a faraway place called Chicagoland, there were two seasons of the year that were always inevitable.  Everyone knew they would come, and everyone knew they had to deal with them.

They were the dreaded seasons of Winter and Road Construction.

To date, these are two seasons that even the nonsensical hype of global warming and “climate change” cannot affect.  In fact, I have discovered that in most urban and big city areas, these two seasons are like peanut butter and jelly.  One will follow right after the other.  Once upon a time in America, you shrugged your shoulders, perhaps you cursed, you rolled up your sleeves or windows and you slogged through both of those miserable seasons until you got to where you were going.  Get there you would, no matter what it took, and no amount of complaining and whining would make any difference.  You just dealt with it.

In the old days, school rarely, if ever, closed for the weather – and most folks braved elements that today’s wimpish people would not dare contemplate themselves enduring.

I remember vividly, the Blizzard of ’79 in Chicago.  The two full days of wet snow dumping without ceasing, followed by a bone-chilling wind that would rip right through you.  School was canceled only after about 8 inches fell, and I recall fondly the memories of digging out cars, shoveling off our roof (because the weight of the snow had been collapsing roofs in some suburban shopping centers) building the world’s largest snow forts and having days on end of Winter fun sledding off our roof and pummeling passers-by with snowballs.

Our parents and elders did as they always have done; curse the weatherman for a faulty forecast and trudge on out to shovel some more and help dig our neighbors.  We would clear the streets before the plows walled-off homeowners  in mountains of wet snow and slush that required immediate shoveling, or it would freeze at the end of your driveway into an impenetrable wall that one could not breach until perhaps late April.  We made great money that Winter shoveling out neighborhoods and helping to excavate cars from snowdrift prisons.  Blizzards and storms were not some kind of apocalypse or ‘historic’  event back in Old America.

In Old America, we used to call modern-day ‘snowpocalypses’: Winter.  We called what the Northeast saw this week: Winter.   We expected it would be bitter cold and we expected at some point or many points depending on how Winter rolled, we would have mountains of snow that would stay on the ground for months and over-time, plowed mountains of snow would turn soot-black and hang around parking lot light poles until mid-June.  Those who loved the snow as we did,  prayed and jumped with glee for forecasts of a foot or more of the white stuff, and even when rent could not be made unless every day was worked.  A snow day was a welcome break in the bleak days of Winter.

I remember in 1979 that despite being buried in snow and drifts over 3 feet, life went on, and pretty quickly.  Schools were opened as soon as the main roads were cleared.  People went to work.  I recall reading complaints from those in the city limits where the response to clearing the streets was slow.  In fact, I think it was common knowledge that due to secondary streets being unplowed for a month, stalled L-trains and busses and trash piling up – that the mayor lost his reelection bid to a Jane Byrne. The politics of that Winter outlasted the snow in terms of memory for many Chicagoans.

We never needed to turn to the media or the government to tell us what to do to “prepare” for a winter storm.  Perhaps in the event of Nuclear fallout from a Russian ICBM we might incline our ears to hear what we should do in the event Chicago got glassed by the Russkies – but not for flakes falling from the sky.  We were not dependent on either the media or government to tell us what to do.  We just did as we each saw fit, and most often, it was the right things to do.

That was then, back in Old America  – back when America was a free country with a people that laughed at adversity and slugged themselves through difficulties, often without much complaining.  It was what you did, back in Old America.

But this is no longer the America we once grew up in.  In today’s America, the Praetorian Crisis-centered 24/7 media stokes a panic that today’s Nanny-State Government Politicians seize upon to impose quasi-martial-law and shut down entire cities if flakes are forecast to pile-up into more than a few inches.

So the blizzard of 2015 in the Northeast comes a-calling – not exactly Miami or Kingston Jamaica unfamiliar with the white stuff, and I offer the lunacy of this event as a text-book illustration of how wimped-out and afraid of our own long shadows of Winter Americans in Nanny-State Leftist controlled New America have become.

After a heavy bombardment of endless non-stop weather channel and media coverage panicking  people to prepare for the end of daze two days before the event, government officials like New York Communist Mayor Bill DeBlasio, hop on the ‘Armageddon-is-coming – prepare-to-shelter-in-place-now’ bandwagon.   Obama-hugging Chris Christie went on to declare a State of Emergency more than 24 hours BEFORE the snow started falling in earnest along with other mayors and government officials jumping in front of every camera they could find to ‘warn’ everyone of the impending ‘disaster’.

The hordes of megalopolis Northeasterners, like dutiful sheep freaked-out, and lined up in the elements as if waiting for tickets to a blockbuster, to invade stores like locusts to “prepare” for what was promised to be a ‘catastrophe’.  Food staples like beer, M&Ms, chips, pretzels and wine flew off shelves.  Carry-out establishments were mobbed with orders for citizens who have no knowledge of how to work a microwave oven.   Lonely souls who were told everything, including bars, bathhouses and x-rated clubs were shutting down, put out invites on Craigslist for sexual partners to share the time whilst Winter destroyed civilization around them.

 

Bread and milk became extinct. In the height of the stoked panic, the politicians issued defacto orders of Martial law – announcing the complete closures of all roads to anyone besides emergency personnel.  The NY Mayor, never allowing even a potential crisis to go to waste, urged New Yorkers to “Prepare for something worse than we have seen before”.   Really.  That is pretty stunning to suggest, considering anything worse than this:

…would undoubtably be a just-cause to panic and run around screaming that the world was indeed, coming to an end.

So, with the entire city closing, curfews being imposed and threats of fines for being outside after 11 PM, panicked residents crammed the highways and bottlenecked themselves into a parking lot as snow began falling.  So, as I watched in amusement from afar – noting that the media makes every single weather event a :”catastrophic crisis unparalleled in human history” to push the GlobalWarming/Climate Change narrative down all out throats, I mused to myself that never before in the history of the country, has an entire city been shut down in fear over a potential weather event that had yet to occur.

 

So Tuesday morning dawns on America’s largest and “most important city”, to a blanket of…. 6″ of snow that covered a ‘City that never sleeps – but will shut down the moment there are flakes in the forecast”.

The media asks “What went wrong with the forecast?”  as if it was not the panic and the hype that was overblown, misused and wrong – but the variables in the forecasting itself.  Urging Americans to become helpless wimps beholden to the media and government is not to be questioned, but the weather forecasters for getting it wrong.  Of course the agenda of Climate Change continues to be whipped about like a chain mace that it’s wielders promise to flog us with until everyone agrees for the remedy for regular Americans to go back living as if it were the 1600’s – minus coal and wood burning stoves.

I have to scream: “IT’S WINTER YOU IDIOTS!  IT SNOWS BIG SOMETIMES IN THE WINTER AND GETS COLD!”  Have we really become a nation of helpless wimps that need the media and government to turn every potential issue into a life-threatening crisis that demands we accept quasi-martial law?  Or are we being conditioned for the same?  Are we truly stupid enough to let ourselves be conditioned to accept such a fate?

This ridiculous event makes it a frightening prospect, that if ISIS and the Jihadist Caliphate wanted to conquer New York City – all they would have to do is forecast a blizzard or some weather event to shut down the city and impose martial law.

Americans have become afraid of their own shadows at the urging of the media and the government whom they have made into their god.  Or at minimum as this event illustrates, afraid of some snowflakes.

Obama’s FCC To “Police” News And Media

The MarxoFascists in the Obama regime are planning to regulate the news and impose a new oversight program of what is reported and why.

This is no surprise move to anyone paying attention.  The control of information is vital to a dictatorship and brutal tyranny.  Such a regime cannot allow dissent, freedom of speech or the reporting of news that showcases the nefarious deeds of rulers to a populace that has it’s minds shaped by propaganda.

There has already been talk by Congress creeps suggesting the government require the licensing of ‘legitimate’ journalists.  For it has been said by ranking MarxoFascist Democrats that First Amendment press rights should not pertain to bloggers and anyone who is not a ‘legitimate’ journalist.

The new FCC plan will use “researchers” placed in the news reporting industry to determine what is reported, how it is reported and why.  This is just an opening salvo, for the real target they intend to intimidate and silence is the internet blogs and Conservative talk radio.

Combined with using the IRS to intimidate and fine Conservative groups, prohibiting them from political activism – the MarxoFascist dream of silencing dissent will be realized.

The FCC Plan To Police The Newsrooms

First Amendment: The FCC has cooked up a plan to place “researchers” in U.S. newsrooms, supposedly to learn all about how editorial decisions are made. Any questions as to why the U.S. is falling in the free press rankings?

As if illegal seizures of Associated Press phone records and the shadowy tailing of the mother of a Fox News reporter weren’t menacing enough, the Obama administration is going out of its way to institute a new intrusive surveillance of the press, as if the press wasn’t supine enough.

Ajit Pai, a commissioner with the Federal Communications Commission, warned this week in a Wall Street Journal op-ed that a plan to dispatch researchers into radio, television and even newspaper newsrooms called the “Multi-Market Study of Critical Information Needs” is still going forward, despite the grave danger it presented to the First Amendment.

Pai warned that under the rationale of increasing minority representation in newsrooms, the FCC, which has the power to issue or not issue broadcasting licenses, would dispatch its “researchers” to newsrooms across America to seek their “voluntary” compliance about how news stories are decided, as well as “wade into office politics” looking for angry reporters whose story ideas were rejected as evidence of a shutout of minority views.

Pai questioned if such a study could really be voluntary, given FCC’s conflict of interest (and, he might have added, the Obama record of going after political opponents).

The origin of the idea is a recrudescence of the Fairness Doctrine, inoperative since 1987 or so, to provide equal time to leftist points of view in broadcasting and other media that otherwise wouldn’t have a willing audience in a free market.

It’s an idea so fraught with potential for abuse it ought to have news agencies screaming bloody murder. The very idea of Obama hipsters showing up in newsrooms, asking questions and judging if newspapers (over which they have no jurisdiction), radio and TV are sufficiently diverse is nothing short of thought control.

But the reaction from the National Association of Broadcasters was mealy-mouthed. The FCC “should reconsider” “qualitative” sections of its study, it wrote.

The FCC now says it will be “closely reviewing the proposed research design to determine if an alternative approach is merited,” as a result of Pai’s warning. Adweek actually reported that as a “retreat.”

It’s because of this don’t-rock-the-boat attitude that Reporters Without Borders said the U.S. had “one of the most significant declines” in press freedom in the world last year, dropping 13 places to a wretched 46th in its newly released global ranking. If the FCC has its way, it can drop even further.

Obama Media Scrubs Rampaging Cop Killer’s Manifesto

Chris Dorner’s Cop-killing Manifesto professes love for Obama, Joe Biden, Hillary, CNN, Gun Control and a litany of the MarxoFascist agenda – media scrubs it all.

As usual with the Obama State-Media which preaches the narrative that TEA Party Conservative Americans are evil and need to be disarmed – the same media scrubs any and all references or mention that the 22 page screed from the deranged cop-killing vendetta of Chris Dorner is an Obama and MarxoFascist Acolyte.

Sooppermexican does a great job to note the scrub and the exact things Obama’s Leftist media deliberately omit in their reporting of the incident which is already being used to further Obama’s disarmament agenda.  In the ORIGINAL manifesto authored by the cop-killing terrorist Dorner, he professes love and demands respect for Obama; he is anti-gun (dontcha love the irony?); fan of Joe Biden; wants Hillary for 2016; fan of CNN/MSNBC; and supports the gay marriage and amnesty for illegals agenda.

But you will never hear about any of this from the Obama media, because Dorner is simply a foot soldier of their agenda, gone AWOL and into assassination and terrorizing cops and potentially anyone who does not agree with his agenda.

News Media Scrub Cop Murderer’s Manifesto of Pro-Obama, Hillary, MSNBC, CNN, Gay, and Anti-Gun Comments

I’ve been following closely the news story about Chris Dorner, who is now suspected of murdering three people, including one police officer, and shooting another two police officers. He is targeting police and their families for what he says is a corrupt system that robbed him of his name and his life.

However, I started noticing that some of the details the media was talking about didn’t fit the released manifesto I’ve read everywhere. Especially interesting, is that KFI’s morning news regurgitator Bill Handel had mentioned some pro-Obama comments and anti-NRA sentiments in the manifesto.

But these weren’t in the copy that KFI themselves released – see for yourself.

This video from FOX News Los Angeles reports that the manifesto was 22 pages long, while the manifesto released was only 11.

The page where FOX News LA had the manifesto is now deleted. Comments don’t mention the manifesto at all.

KTLA also has the abbreviated manifesto, with this parenthetical: “KTLA has removed the names of a number of officers out of respect for their privacy.”

FOX News reposted the manifesto, with all the names redacted as the authorities asked, but it still doesn’t have the second half.

ABC 7 has also posted a redacted half version of the manifesto.

Being curious, I started looking for a complete copy, but other mainstream news media only had the abbreviated copy.

However, I was able to find a complete copy of the posting, from the website “Crime File News” – the details in it corroborate with the reading that Bill Handel gave on the KFI morning show today.

So why did they edit it?

The Homosexual Agenda’s Kristallnacht

Outraged over the success of Christian Americans supporting Chick-Fil-A, the Left and their Deviants plan to invade, take over and disrupt the restaurant chain with open acts of deviancy and defilement.

In an era where the President says to his Marxist faithful – that business owners should not revel in their success, because someone else built their business and made their success happen, the zeitgeist has been created that anyone who does not share current Leftist orthodoxy, is subject to having what they own taken from them and punished.  That climate of hate and disdain is well illustrated over the Chick Fil-A uproar this week.

Watching and listening to the Marxist mainstream media, one would never know that Chick-Fil-A set a world record on Wednesday in food sales, that saw massive crowds lined up at the fast food chicken chain.  So great were the crowds, that many stores actually ran out of food to serve.  But you would never know it if you were waiting on the news networks to report it.  Little national coverage was given to the overwhelming success of Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day on Wednesday, and what coverage it did receive was under the banner of  declaring the support ‘a day of intolerance’.  Michael Warren of The Weekly Standard notes the blackout of the national media of Appreciation Day:

But you wouldn’t know anything about the national phenomenon by reading the front pages of most of the country’s leading newspapers. There’s no mention of Chick-fil-A on the front pages of the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and the Boston Globe. The front pages of USA Today, the Dallas Morning News, and the Houston Chronicle have small headlines about the restaurant, while Chick-fil-A’s hometown paper, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, fits in a story below the fold under the heading, “Chick-fil-A Controversy.” And the front pages of major news websites are quiet in their coverage as well.

What the national Media propaganda news machine will do is attack the chain openly.  Today – the national media is front and center for the ‘counter protest’ – showcasing the startling bias in coverage.

The insane Left and Homosexual Agenda was beyond outraged that Americans would dare defy Political Correctness and support the right of a private business owner to hold religious beliefs contrary to the Gay Mafia.  So in retaliation for the success of Wednesday’s support – the Left has declared today – Friday August 3rd, a Kiss-In protest.  To invade Chick-FIl-A, and engage in abomination before the patrons and force them to watch their deviancy.  As I wrote the other day – same as what the evil citizens of Sodom would do.

The media is all front and center in it’s joyful coverage of the ‘blowback’ from homosexuals and their agenda to descend on Chick Fil-A to somehow shame and intimidate the chain, and if not the owners, then certainly the patrons themselves.  I’m sure overt acts of affection even by heterosexuals in a restaurant would rightly earn a request to cease or leave the premises, but homosexuals who scream about equality see themselves as absolved of the same rules for the rest of us. Forcing us to watch their deviancy is a short hop towards mandating we engage in it, so the Bible illustrates in Genesis 19.

It’s not enough of course to simply disagree with the Left and the Agenda – doing so will reveal the projection of true hate-filled venom that the Homosexual Agenda has for anyone who disagrees with them.  Where the American Christian simply patronizes an establishment to show support, the Left will vandalize it, infiltrate it, destroy it.

The media in their rage are not just propagandists for the agenda this time around.  They are actually participating in stoking what may become a ‘kristallnacht’ moment for the Sodomite Agenda.  Sally Quinn of the Washington Post, blogs instructions for the Homosexual militants  not to boycott, but to infiltrate:

“start applying for jobs at Chick-fil-A. Get in there. Become managers, take over the places. Gays could begin patronizing Chick-fil-As and I don’t mean carry out. Make the restaurants the gay hangouts of the community. Gay partners and Married gays could begin taking their children there. They could start having birthday parties for their kids. They could have Gay pride events there. (They have an events manager – just call) They could even have gay weddings there”

The hate for someone who holds a Christian worldview is reaching a threshold of actual violence. The pressure being brought to bear to force Christians to change their beliefs and accommodate everything from ObamaCare to Homosexual Marriage is reaching a crescendo. With the Mayors of Boston, Chicago and San Francisco blasting the private beliefs of Dan Cathy and therefor the entire chain of stores, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa didn’t want to miss out on pandering to the Gay Mafia while demanding the owners change their faith and beliefs.  “I’m proud to support them as we call on Chick-fil-A’s leadership to reconsider their position and join the growing majority of Americans who support marriage equality,” Villaraigosa said.

Even Forbes goes to declare Chick-Fil-A a cult – and subtly suggests some kind of legal action be taken against their company policy and Christian beliefs of it’s owners, which they illustrate to be somehow harmful.

We can thank Obama for the escalation of this.  After all, it was he who said that if we own a business, “we didn’t build that”.  So now carte blanche is been given to the wicked Left in this society – to take over and infiltrate whomever does not share the “mark” of the Homosexual and Marxist Beast.

King of the North and King of the South Are What Ignite WWIII

I have heard many prophetic prognostications in my time as a Christian in relation to whom the Beast of Revelation is, what the Mark of the Beast is, and where World War 3 will start.

Some folks insist that a United Europe, led by a resurgent Germany and empowered by the Vatican will become the flashpoint for the end of the world at Jerusalem.

Some insist it will be Russia or China that starts the next world war when they take the Middle East.

But my pal John Galt Fla has an understanding that comes closer to what I see right now on the world scene as the machinations of the Prophetic Kings of the South (Arab Spring) and North (The Turkish/Iranian/Iraqi Renaissance) – who drag the world into another global conflict.  And it’s not Rome or a revived Holy Roman Empire behind it – but the push for an Islamic Caliphate that lights the fuse that hits the powder keg of global war.  John is right – the next world war doesn’t begin in Libya – it may very well start in Babylon.

What Scripture reveals in Daniel 11: 36- 39 reveals the arrogance of this King of the North, while verses 40-44 – tell of the King of the South pushing against this king – whereupon Egypt and Libya (members of the King of the South) are soon made into his slaves.  So the war doesn’t begin in Libya according to the scriptural prophecies.  Libya becomes occupied and enslaved along with much of Africa and the Arab states.

World War III will Begin in Babylon, not Libya

On the August 2, 2011 edition of the Glenn Beck radio program, he began a postulation that World War Three would begin in Libya and the distractions created by that might be sufficient to change the balance of power in the world.  The theory might sound justifiable considering the situation on the ground there but the facts do not bear out any logical reason for a major world conflict to start in that country. The conflict is basically of a tribal nature fought by a  disorganized group of rebels composed of enemies of the Qaddafi family and tribe and the oppression inflicted on the citizens of that tiny nation for decades. The lack of true international interests in the civil war there plus the lack of strategic importance to the powers in the Persian Gulf region make the small conflict in Libya a poor candidate for a war which engulfs the entire world however.

Unfortunately for the United States, Israel, Europe, Russia, and China, there is a region of the world where conflict has been active for decades and the largest world powers do have a strategic and tactical interest. The conflict has been hot in the nation of Iraq for decades now, be it in the form of Gulf War I or the low intensity guerrilla conflicts between the various ethnic and religious groups supported by the region’s powers. The problem that is now revealing itself to the mainstream is one that has been simmering for decades and thanks to the coming withdrawal of the U.S. forces there, will become extremely hot in very short order.

The map displayed above provides the religious background for the start of the conflict but the intervention of the world powers and their interests in Iraq stretch far beyond the borders of this colonialist created artificial nation. Despite the disposing of the Saddam Hussein regime in the last effort, the ethnic and religious conflicts have never been resolved and were only tamed by the brutality of his regime. Under the U.S. occupation the establishment of stability, law and order was a given despite our political correct approach and horrid rules of engagement. Despite the incessant attacks on our soldiers which continues up to the posting of this day, our insane version of “Vietnamization” of the Iraqi people yielded little success as the attempts failed to consider the centuries old religious conflicts consuming that region.

Fast forward to the current situation and consider the implications of a potential withdrawal of U.S. forces from the region:

– Iranian support will move from covert to overt support of Shia tribal and political leaders in the East and South of the nation.

– Kurdish political realities will create open conflict for control of the Kirkuk oil producing region.

– Sunni weakness exposed by the exit of the international peacekeepers and influences will force the Saudi hand and direct intervention to protect their border regions and religious allies in Iraq and probably Jordan.

– Turkey will no longer have a reason to show restraint in its dealings with the Kurdish rebels and opens the door for their military to not only eradicate the problem but occupy the oil rich region which has been a historic desire since they lost the territory after World War I.

– China and Russia have historic ties to many of the players in the region and would take an active role in supporting the apparent winners of any conflict between the region’s powers to monopolize the oil resources and drive the Western powers from Asia and the Middle East for decades to come.

This opens the potential for a major conflict to erupt in the historic region of Babylon, where the world’s major religions are all within several hours flying time and the use of proxies to attack allies and enemies alike will be the standard operating procedure. The Iraqis have a somewhat large group of possible sleepers inside the United States as Sadam then radical Islamist groups in Iraq worked tirelessly after the two major wars to send protagonists across our southern border and create secret terrorist cells. Add in the threats from Libyans, Pakistani, Iranian, Saudi Wahhabi sleepers, etc. and the formula is in place inside our own nation to experience the war on our soil, not just witness the carnage overseas.

The larger problem facing citizens of Western countries is that a war might well be needed and viewed as tolerable in that region as the economic deterioration accelerates in the months and years ahead. A conflict with an acceptable loss rate and minor damage within the home nations would promote economic growth and enable further imposition of strict police state rules to ensure a totally controlled series of nation states under almost dictatorial centralized control would evolve. In a period of major warfare where terrorists inflict casualties on civilians the natural evolution is a tightening of freedoms and dedication of economic resources to the conflict overseas. This formula would simply accelerate many of the plans and desires of the technocrats and globalist elites who reject the ideals of pluralism, populism, and Constitutional Republics as an archaic form of governance.

An issue may arise in such a miscalculation, however, as attacks on any particular group at the behest of another, such as attacks on Iran or Turkey in defense of Saudi Arabia, could well inflame the remainder of the world’s Muslims and broaden the war in scope and size to a point where controls and isolation to one region would indeed bring about the undesired impact on nations which did not wish to participate and expand such a conflict. This mistake, similar to those which caused the first two world wars to expand far beyond the original preconceived concept the world powers of those eras envisioned, is due to be repeated again as the horrors of war for the majority of civilized countries is now several generations removed. We can only pray that the societies come to their senses and avoid such a conflict in the Middle East but the House of Saud, Iran, and Turkey are preparing for such an event spreading from Syria to Pakistan and Algiers to Afghanistan.

Let us hope common sense returns and the American government divests its interests in the region to insure our nation’s ability to survive as a Constitutional Republic intact, yet based on recent events it would appear that this will not be the case. Our nation is ruled by fools now who fail to understand the complexities of the region, its past, or the implications of a wider conflict which would create global conflict of a scale unseen in world history.

Feds Mandate Your ISP Monitor and Log Your Internet Activities for a Year

In the exponentially increasing Police State in which the American people have grown comfortable with, comes the news that while the circus over the debt ceiling continues – the Congress has approved a bill to mandate your internet provider keep logs of all your internet activity for a minimum of one year in the event law enforcement wants to review your activities online.

Anyone recall the screeching from the Left when it was learned Bush via the Patriot Act were monitoring phone calls from foreign countries into the US?  So now – when the government decides they have the right to access your internet activity  – there is the sound of crickets chirping.  Silence.  Because it’s Dear Leader’s government.

The new bill demands that your ISP store and keep a log of every activity and transaction you engage in on the internet, including names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, and temporarily-assigned IP addresses.  To ensure the bill sails through the House without any opposition – the bill has been called Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011 – even though the purpose behind this effort and the potentially devastating control the government will have over everything you do, has little to do with child porn.

While perhaps the GOP panel members might have noble intentions for this bill, are they truly so blind as to grant the Ruling Class oligarchs in Washington such power to have at it’s fingertips, every single keystroke, transaction and site you visit on the internet??  I actually find myself in agreement to the sentiments some of the Leftist Democrats have expressed, while our motives come from opposite directions.  The Left want their constituencies safe from any snooping, I see huge danger affording the Ruling Class such power to know every activity you engage in on the internet – including logging all your transactions and bank information.

House panel approves broadened ISP snooping bill

nternet providers would be forced to keep logs of their customers’ activities for one year–in case police want to review them in the future–under legislation that a U.S. House of Representatives committee approved today.

The 19 to 10 vote represents a victory for conservative Republicans, who made data retention their first major technology initiative after last fall’s elections, and the Justice Department officials who have quietly lobbied for the sweeping new requirements, a development first reported by CNET.

A last-minute rewrite of the bill expands the information that commercial Internet providers are required to store to include customers’ names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, and temporarily-assigned IP addresses, some committee members suggested. By a 7-16 vote, the panel rejected an amendment that would have clarified that only IP addresses must be stored.

It represents “a data bank of every digital act by every American” that would “let us find out where every single American visited Web sites,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren of California, who led Democratic opposition to the bill.

Lofgren said the data retention requirements are easily avoided because they only apply to “commercial” providers. Criminals would simply go to libraries or Starbucks coffeehouses and use the Web anonymously, she said, while law-abiding Americans would have their activities recorded.

To make it politically difficult to oppose, proponents of the data retention requirements dubbed the bill the Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act of 2011, even though the mandatory logs would be accessible to police investigating any crime and perhaps attorneys litigating civil disputes in divorce, insurance fraud, and other cases as well.

…..Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner, a Wisconsin Republican and previous chairman of the House Judiciary committee, had criticized it at a hearing earlier this month, and again in the voting session that began yesterday and continued through this morning.

“I oppose this bill,” said Sensenbrenner. “It can be amended, but I don’t think it can be fixed… It poses numerous risks that well outweigh any benefits, and I’m not convinced it will contribute in a significant way to protecting children.”

…the Obama Justice Department was following suit. Jason Weinstein, the deputy assistant attorney general for the criminal division, warned that wireless providers must be included because “when this information is not stored, it may be impossible for law enforcement to collect essential evidence.”
