The Collective Mindset Had Triumphed Over Individualism

collectivism-02

America has devolved into the mindset of Statism – either neo-Fascist Nationalist Populism or neo-Socialist Marxism.  The Body Politick divided and insistent that the other ideology will destroy the country, ignoring the fact that both purveying ideologies are Collectivists.

The following essay written by a good friend in the Liberty Movement has captured the core of the argument between Trump Republicans and the Obama/Hillary Democrats.  While many are arguing for Collectivism, the Natural Rights Movement is attempting to reacquaint an ignorant people of the discarded construct of Individualism.

Individualism in Early America

This comment appeared on a FB thread post:

I read on Facebook a lot of empty bravado calling anyone who isn’t a Trump supporter a whiney sore loser or “cry baby liberal pansy” or worse. I don’t think these types of self-satisfied people are prepared for the pushback taking place. When people see their very idea of Democracy threatened it awakens something. We will allow a plutocracy to prevail and push women & minorities back to the 50s over our cold. dead. bodies.

Noam Chomsky: With Trump Election, We Are Now Facing Threats to the Survival of the Human Species

These guys, along with “Democracy Now” are nothing but a bunch of Collectivists who are perfectly fine with tyranny — tyranny is what Collectivism breeds.

Where were their criticisms of the Obama administration when it bailed out the massive banking corporations in the exact manner as did the Bush administration?

Where is their criticism of the Obama administration when he signed the NDAA of 2012 which legalized rendition?

Where is their criticism of the Obama administration which also just declared CBD to be “non-medicinal” and now a schedule 1 drug?

Why are seemingly intelligent people championing such anti-liberty actions of Collectivists on “both sides” of the false political paradigm?

Why worry about what Trump *might* do when these Collectivists have no regard for all the evils of past administrations?

This all just seems like total insanity to me. After all, it’s the Hillary supporters who had been rioting and destroying the private property of other individuals.

I cannot take anything these Collectivists have to say seriously due to their blatant hypocrisy.

I find it very sad that the masses continue to worship the STATE rather than stand up against such tyranny.

Philosophy – Natural Rights Coalition

In today’s society, totally ignorant of the history of such philosophy breeds comments such as:

Can you give an example when your vision on non-“collectivism” has been implemented?

…Even if I could give such examples of how the Philosophy of Individualism has been implemented at the founding of America’s Civil Law through the honoring and protection of our Natural Rights, it wouldn’t justify the hypocrisy these collectivists exemplify in only criticizing one side of the partisan duopoly for such violations of our Natural Rights.

Please don’t misunderstand, I am equally as critical of so called “Conservatives” when they act likewise hypocritical.

My point is that the masses continue to listen to hypocritical collectivists who are deceiving them into believing that only the other so called “side” of the false political “left-right” dichotomy is tyrannical.  Call them fascists or socialists, they are all collectivists.  And by definition of their chosen philosophy, they do not honor the unalienable Natural Rights of the individual.

The Philosophy of Individualism has been implemented in America’s Civil Law from the onset, albeit imperfectly — certainly, slavery in America was hypocritical to our founding documents.  However, it should also be noted that pre-Civil War America’s slavery population was ~13%.  Compare that to the present situation whereby nearly everyone has become “wage” slaves of the STATE.  It’s supposed to be the other way around.  the STATE is supposed to be our servant.

Natural Rights principles are what our entire founding documents were created upon.  They are what Jefferson penned as being “self-evident” in the Declaration of Independence.

Examples of Individualism in America’s onset include:

• Natural Right of health care freedom:

the STATE didn’t violate or engage in the private free market of medical care and medicine (i.e.: the STATE waged no selective drug wars, so people were free to choose drug remedies by their own free will); the STATE didn’t force out of business or out of the country medical scientists who provided remedies that had a proven track record of success for people’s ailments; the STATE didn’t mandate uncontrolled dosing of the masses through their water supplies of chemicals proven to be toxic; etc…

• Innocence until proven guilty:

the STATE used to honor this principle, yet there are a myriad of instances where individuals are treated as guilty until proven innocent; tyrannical acts such as rendition were not practiced by the STATE (while rendition had been likely practiced illegally by previous administrations for perhaps decades, it has only been recently legalized by the most recent administration as previously noted).

• Natural Right of property & privacy:

there was never originally a so called “income” tax in America; the founders mandated such direct taxes to be illegal, for it was self-evident that every individual had the right to the fruit of his/her own labor AND the right to keep one’s personal affairs private; the STATE didn’t engage in “civil asset forfeiture”; the STATE didn’t engage in massive general spying on its citizens; the STATE never prohibited gardening or farming on one’s own property.

• Natural Right to self-defense:

the STATE didn’t violate violate one’s Natural Right of self-defense by prohibiting or interfering with individual armament (in fact, it was militias of individuals who volunteered to fight in the Revolutionary War in order to maintain this paramount Natural Right… now, such collectivists I criticize desire to entirely disarm Americans who have not violated the Natural Rights of others, thus another example of guilty until proven innocent).

• Natural Right to free market commerce and private contract:

the STATE didn’t initially control or manipulate currency, nor did it infringe upon free market commerce; private individuals were free to engage — or NOT engage — in their private business with others according to their own free will and without ANY STATE intervention whatsoever; business licenses didn’t initially exist because it was self-evident that individuals have the Natural Right to profit and therefore survive; marriage licenses didn’t originally exist — marriage is not only a private matter, but also one of CHURCH rather than STATE… remember “separation of CHURCH & STATE”?  😉

[noteworthy: a “license” or “permit” means that the STATE is asserting it’s authority over the individual — as “master” — giving the license/permit bearer *permission* to do something that the individual doesn’t have the Natural Right to already do.]

We could go on about how far more tyrannical America has become since its Individualistic leaning onset, resultant of embracing Collectivist principles.  But basically, if one wasn’t violating the Natural Rights of anyone else, the STATE at most all levels didn’t interfere in the private lives of individuals.

… That was the original concept anyway, and I submit that these principles define libertarianism, however, definitely not according to the Libertarian Party.  The LP is largely divided by libertarians, and anarchists who call themselves “libertarians”.  There are also anarchists who call themselves “voluntarists” (or some form thereof), no doubt hoping to make their false ideology sound more alluring to the ignorant

However, by contrast libertarians understand that if no one ever violated the Natural Rights of anyone else, there would be no need for government at all, and therefore, anarchy could actually work.  We also realize that this is a fantasy.

We who live in the real world of human society, and are of sound mind, acknowledge that some people will always violate the Natural Rights of others.  Therefore, limited government having the primary if not sole function of protecting the Natural Rights of ALL individuals is necessary for a society whose goal is to maximize peace, prosperity, and liberty for ALL.

But I have digressed…

Of course, maintaining a libertarian leaning republic didn’t last long.  Government continued to wax corrupted and powerful, thus a new tyranny was born and since fostered by the advance and then mass indoctrination of Collectivist philosophy.

…taking this time to exemplify some of the various ways tyranny has grown in America is helping to encourage me in my goal of fleshing out the www.NaturalRightsCoalition.com website, especially to address various Natural Rights violations by the US Government at all levels and offer practical solutions that end all such violations.

I truly believe that Natural Rights principles, which are all also rooted in the “Golden Rule” shared by many cultures of commoners throughout all of human history, are unifying rather than dividing.  And right now, there is only growing division in “Neo-Amerika”… and that’s not sustainable — Untied We Stand, Divided We Fall.

What Happens To The Reagan/Constitutional Conservative Movement Now?

 conservativewilderness

Refusing to embrace Trump is said will relegate Principled Conservatives to a political wilderness of irrelevance.  What happens to Conservatives without a home?  Does it even have a future?

We’ve spent the last decades watching the Constitutional Conservatism that Reagan branded into the GOP get trod underfoot within the Republican Party via the Establishment leadership.  It should not have surprised us, because that same Dole/Bush liberal Rockefeller Republican opposed Reagan with vehemence in his runs for the presidency – and even after he was in office.  They made it a cause to eradicate it from their party once Reagan left office, because to have listened to the beltway bunch – we are an embarrassment to their party.  There is probably no better definition of this than in Angelo Codevillas excellent essay: America’s Ruling Class and the Perils of Revolution, which if you have not read – I highly invite you to do so.

But today – it is self-evident that the Republican Party we thought was the home of limited government, Constitutional Conservatism, is nothing of the sort.  Since 2012 the leadership made it clear via rules changes that Reagan Conservatives and Originalists were to sit down, shut up and vote the party without having a say in how things are run or what policies and platforms to cherish.   The Leadership under Mitch McConnell even threatened to ‘punch us in the nose’ for daring to primary him with a Tea Party favorite.  They lied to the entire base promising to stop Obama’s Fundamental transformation if we handed them the Senate.  But the polls had barely closed and the Leadership was already giving us the middle finger.   The Ruling Class leadership established themselves as nothing but career collaborators with the Democrats and Conservative efforts to demand the foundations we respect, should be upheld.  But we were rebuffed and their contempt for us laid bare.

The Establishment worked harder to oppose their own base than the unConstitutional affronts of Obama and the Democrats.  Even to the point of empowering and funding his entire agenda.  It was a punch to the gut after a slap in the face and they told us at the beginning of this 2016 election cycle to lie back and enjoy the rape.

In the aftermath of the 2016 Primaries and the debacle of Trump – many Conservatives are now left wondering ‘what happens to the movement now?’.

Does it morph into this Nationalist Populist Fascism Trump and his hordes are preaching?  Does it get folded into Socialism Light under Rience Priebus?  Does it get redefined by Trump into something we would never recognize?   Does it need to depart the GOP and form or work to build a new party?  If so, and a departure is necessary, what then?

What happens to the core principles and foundations that are now apparently a minority within the GOP and the electorate itself?

I may have an answer as to what we might see, because I have seen a very similar thing happen, albeit not politically.

The fallout from Apostasy.

I’ve witnessed a microcosm of what I think is happening to Conservatism within churches in this country.

Now before you discount that and think that church fellowship and politics have nothing in common – understand that for most Constitutional Conservatives – their political cores are a belief system, doctrines of Americanism if you will – that becomes the prism by which they look at everything in society.  Everything.  Not just political campaigns.  But how they live their lives.   Not unlike how some Christians look at the world through the prism of the bible.

If you think that notion is absurd, then you are not a Constitutional Conservative.  You are something else entirely.

I’ve witnessed and/or been part of several large corporate churches having gone apostate on their foundational doctrines to embrace ‘new truth’ (i.e.: homosexual marriage, Chrislam or even changes in basic doctrinal beliefs) all for the sake of ‘getting new people to like us’ and grow the weekly coffer. Often it is done under the pretense of ‘preaching the Gospel’ to the unreached.    In one case, a church simply had individuals in leadership who wanted to force the church to accept heresy as a doctrine or tear the entire church down and remake it into their own image.  Some due to individuals in leadership that hated the church itself for their own personal reasons.

What happened in those experiences I think, is what we are watching take place now with Conservatism and the GOP.  And here is what happens:

During the process of ‘fundamental Transformation’ – the introduction of heretical ‘new truths’ are preached within the church.  Some doctrines declared outdated, un-useful, offensive or just plain wrong. A discussion is started about adopting or morphing other doctrines into their own. Most nod blindly in agreement, because a large number of brethren believe whatever they are told from the pulpit, rather than prove what is true themselves.  However, those who have their nose in scripture are alarmed and upset at the perversions being preached.  The leadership does nothing and actually assists the doctrinal changes begin implemented, often by proof texting the bible to authorize the changes.  So the new doctrines are imposed, incrementally at first – and then full implementation despite the complaints from longtime members who recognize apostasy.

A large number of brethren convince themselves that they can change the church from within, and work to rectify the growing discord and contentions with the elders and pastors.  Often they are placated with meaningless promises of involvement in church board decisions, or their suggestions and complaints will be taken under advisement.  They soon find their efforts get them branded as sowers of discord.

The Ministry then goes full tilt to preach ‘unity’ and ‘obedience’ to whatever the pastorship says and or decrees is the new doctrine.  This happens week after week, so as to condition the members to accept what the church government tells them.  Often there are sermon series on Romans 13, and the requirement to obey church hierarchy.

Those who continue to complain or discuss the apostasy with others, are ostracized, sermonized against and ultimately disfellowshipped, marked and put out of the congregation.  This causes a huge backlash and the leadership almost always tamps down with an authoritarian fist, warning brethren they will lose their souls if they do not accept the new doctrines and to either shut up and keep their discontent to themselves, or leave.

A major split occurs (which is where I think we are currently at with the GOP).  A number of those who recognize apostasy leave the church to form new smaller congregations.  The diminishment of the larger church is almost immediate – and usually a war of words, legal actions and other nefarious behaviors are directed at those who decide they no longer want to be part of the Mother Church.  Members of the older congregation are instructed to have no contact with those who left, and sometimes they work to discredit, sabotage and ruin the efforts those that left are making to form a new congregation.  Often internecine wars go on for years, causing more discord and division.  The larger church often aligns itself with larger apostate churches to keep their tithes and offerings up – but in short order they are folded into the churches they have adopted doctrines from and cease to be who they once were.

The dangerous fallout of such splits is the disillusionment in God that many people suffer.  Some quit the faith altogether.  Some run back to embrace ideas and beliefs they once practiced before conversion.  Some grow hostile to the very essence of Christianity, God and the bible itself.  Still there remains a remnant of core principled Believers who recognize they have no home and work to establish new fellowships among likeminded.

Among the splintered groups comes those ‘leaders’ who believe in the core doctrines that were discarded, but they now want a following for themselves.   So they work to yank as many people from the now irrelevant ‘mother church’ into their own congregations, promising them a restoration of ‘truth once delivered’ by a church that has gone apostate.  They succeed for awhile, but then members are subjected to the personal interpretations of the ‘new leader’.  Like sheep – lots of brethren will follow a man because of his oratory skills or influence.  People want to go where there are numbers rather than dwell within a handful.  But the warring factions of those who split the first time, split again and again – most often over whose name is on the door and who is in charge.  Some insist upon the precise and exact interpretation of everything from prophecy to which translation must be the only one referenced, or they declare the splintered group to be just another apostate group.  More splits occur.

This leads to a tiny minority of core people beholden to doctrine rather than men or numbers that are left to fellowship together. Home fellowships or congregations are on the rise with small groups renting storefronts.  Their numbers are less than a couple dozen people every week.  Their influence in the community is limited or next to nothing.

The results are that the brethren are jaded and worry about which charlatan or false preacher will come in and try to lead them astray.  They turn inward in terms of trust, and the preaching of the Gospel is neglected for the sake of simply catering to a core group of people who want to meet and congregate and share what they have in common.  The Great Commission becomes more diluted and society is untouched or influenced by the truths they should be sharing.

The culture around us is a testament to the damage that this kind of apostasy and splits in a body that is supposed to be serving as a witness and light to a nation that once called itself of God.  The church at large becomes lukewarm and ineffective.

That said, there are positives that occur when a biblically-oriented people remove themselves from apostasy.  Their faith and values are not diminished or rewritten to suit the agenda of others.  And while it may seem they are in the wilderness and irrelevant – they learn the beauty that comes from truly being free of ‘plantation control’.  They can maneuver and move wherever the Spirit of God directs them to move without approval or direction of a hierarchy of men that often limits what individuals can do unless the ‘leadership’ endorses it.

Over time, I have seen smaller groups network with others and they become a ‘leaderless’ movement as it were, all claiming Christ as their head and of no need for a party of men to tell them what they can or cannot do.  They field their own missionaries, outreach and are having an influence on younger people who were invisible in the larger corporate churches.  I see God’s Hand moving in these groups and I think that they will be the ones Daniel 11:32 describes as doing ‘great exploits’ – despite the fact Christian influence in America and the West in on the wane.

I am not discouraged over the fact that Christianity is largely irrelevant in a hedonist culture that sees them as intolerant or evil.  We were told this would happen in Matthew 24.  I am content to know that it is with a minority that a witness is given before God.

What happens to the Reagan Constitutional Conservative Movement Now?

As with the church – if the Constitutional Conservative movement is splintered and relegated to pockets and corners, having been rejected by the majority party and a nation that no longer reflects the values we believe in, we should in no wise capitulate and give into becoming apostates ourselves.  We have to admit we have no home or place within the Republican party.  It is wholly apostate and corrupted, it has entrenched rules that will forever eschew what you and I believe in.   We risk having our core values watered down and diminished by remaining within it.  We can build a new fellowship and party that better values what we are governed by.

For even if we are irrelevant as far as the political zeitgeist and direction of the country goes in the near future – we are the ones who have yet to do great exploits as a tiny minority that holds to the truth of our foundations and religious heritage.  We are the ones who will provide a witness and a searing conscience to those who willfully discarded what was established for liberty to be maintained in this land.  We are the ones to point the disillusioned to the path and the way back to freedom.

Our political worldview based on the true history of our founding and the documents that established liberty should not change simply because the rest of the nation has embraced Socialism and big government.  We will be the remnant that have the seeds of liberty in our souls – and should they need to be planted in the ashes of consequences, we will be the ones to plant good seed for a hoped-for good crop understanding that though we are limited to planting and watering – it is God that brings forth the increase.

Refuse To Choose Evil, Even If They Say It Is A Lesser Evil

two-evils-Sign2

Between Trump or Hillary, choosing either one of them is still choosing tyrannical evil.

I marvel how American Christians having deceived themselves, can compartmentalize sin and evil into acceptable behaviors and choices.  From Adultery to Homosexual Marriage and all the other Commandments that have been ‘done away with’-  American Christians absolve themselves of any shame or guilt when engaging in routine sins.   How many self-identifying Christians today think it is okay or even GOOD to lie and deceive others if they think it is the best interest?  How many who claim Christ  engage in sex outside of the sanctity of marriage and think God is okay with their lifestyle behavior?  How many self-identifying Christians think a woman has the right to kill her baby and that organizations that facilitate infanticide are ‘necessary’ institutions?

American pastors and charlatan evangelists pushing the prosperity gospel have leavened the whole lump of the faith in this country, deceiving their flocks and many others into thinking themselves ‘cleansed’ by simply believing on the Name of Jesus; as if He were a magic talisman that never uttered the words ‘Go and sin no more”, or “To him who overcomes will I grant to sit with Me in my throne…” (Rev. 3:21).

As such, we now have a culture and people in America that have become desensitized to wickedness.  We cannot identify sin, or recognize evil anymore.  We have created new definitions of immorality, and consigned the former morality that forged us to be an unacceptable evil.

Today Christians engage in classifying sin and evil into categories of bad, badder and worse – or – a necessary evil.  America has fulfilled the Isaiah 5:20 prophecy of woe by declaring evil to be a good, while good is routinely declared to be an evil, by those who claim to read the Word of God no less.

The fruits of this ‘conditioning’ to declare some evils and sins as worse than other evils and sins is perfectly manifested in the two “candidates” running for the Presidency this year.  In fact, it is being preached by the rabid Trump militants that because Hillary is the worst sort of evil, that voting for Trump is no longer a choice – but a moral and patriotic imperative, because his ‘evils’ are lesser, and hers are greater.

I have read the proverb flung from the Trump faithful that insist that the ‘perfect is the enemy of the good’, which declares anyone who will not bend the knee and vote for their champion as an enemy, a traitor to the nation.   They insist that because no candidate is perfect, we must choose one whose personal moral character and behavior is so reprehensible that Trump himself would be unfit to hold any church office whatsoever:

The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of an overseer, he desires a noble task. Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, double-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.  He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?  He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil.  Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.

Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain.  They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. – I Timothy 3: 1-10

While Trump may not engage in drunkeness, he has bragged openly about his adulterous affairs and conquests of other men’s wives.  He has not kept his own wedding vows, and routinely demonstrates he is quarrelsome, double-minded, slanderous, a lover of money (braggart that he is on his wealth), undignified and disrespectable.

How can Christians assume that a man who cannot maintain his own personal wedding vows or control his tongue and temper while engaging in the politics of personal destruction, is a man fit to hold the most powerful office in the world?

“But Hillary is worse!”,  they shout.

The argument that Hillary’s proclivity for evil is known, the benefit of Trump is that his use of evil to govern is an unknown evil that is preferable to the known evil.  While there is no political record to measure Trump’s fruits by,  his personal record, interviews and his press events reveal the fruits of a man who admires tyrants.   He asserted that the Chinese government’s massacre in Tiananmen Square was a strength to admire; that Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship and how he dealt with dissidents (or terrorists) was a measure of strength and stability in Iraq. Then there’s praise of North Korea’s dictator Kim Jung Un and of course Trump’s positive views of Vladimir Putin.  The  common denominator is raw, unapologetic brute force.  Not too dissimilar from Trump’s campaign of personal public destruction of Conservative Republicans who have refused to endorse him.  What happens when such a man has the ability to muster military and police forces to his will?

Trump has revealed he admires statist regimes that crush dissent – the governing by raw force and death.  Based on his words, that is not an unknown evil as the acolytes assert.  It is a known evil that most are choosing to ignore because they fear Hillary more.

Couple that with the facts Trump said he said he could shoot someone in cold blood and he would not lose a single voter; Tweeted and retweeted a quote from Fascist Benito Mussolini and got angry that people were upset over it; and kept a book containing the “My new order speeches” of Adolf Hitler by his bedside for reading pleasure.

Who says and reads such things?  Is that a stable mind worthy of the office of POTUS?

But… but…. HILLARY!

Such is the exclamation with the palpable fears of someone worse than Obama continuing the collapse of the country.  Hillary is indeed a known evil.  One of massive corruption to enrich herself by any and all means, and to further her quest for power.   Trump is just an unknown evil, regardless of the fact he has the mind of a tyrant.    His bizarre and punitive statements advocating expansion of libel laws against anyone who says things that are not nice to him should send up similar alarm bells of those worried about Hillary gutting the Second Amendment.   Trump attacking other Republicans and journalists is routinely ignored and not up for consideration that the fruits of this man are just as reprehensible for a Christian to consider supporting as they are of Hillary.

“But it’s one or the other – you must choose!  If not, your choice will be made for you by someone else and Hillary will win!”

When citing that verse in 1 Timothy as my reason for refusing to vote for either morally reprehensible “choice” this year, I am lectured that we are not voting for a pope or pastor, so the application of scripture is invalid.  A definitive statement made as if the moral law only applies to church people and does not apply to someone ruling over an entire nation.  To demand ‘perfection’ in a political candidate they say is just… evil.   They again utter the ‘perfect is the enemy of the good’ proverb, which in itself is absurd because it renders Jesus’ own admonition to Christians in Matthew 5:8 to be totally null and void. But American Christians today have become experts in justifying all kinds of sin and evil as acceptable and even necessary.

Which brings to mind another admonition from Jesus:

“Why do you call me Lord, Lord and not do the things which I say?” – Luke 6:46

Why indeed?

Christians medicate themselves on the culturally false doctrines that teach repentance and overcoming sin are no longer necessary, and that the only sin by which they think they are held to account is to declare sin for what it is, that dreaded ‘do not judge’ heresy that prohibits Americans from judging good from evil.

Perhaps that is the leading contributor to the newfound belief that choosing evil is a good thing compared to what they think is a greater evil.  It’s how a people decide that sex no matter how they enjoy it, is better than being confined to matrimony and why killing an infant in the womb is better than raising an ‘unwanted’ child.

It perfectly explains the two “choices” of evil that we are presented with this November.   Which I will declare ladies and gentlemen (and transgendered… whatever you call yourselves), is an indictment of We The People.  Both of those horrible candidates are a reflection of the character of the people in this country who selected them to rule us.

“Vote Trump to save SCOTUS!  We know Hillary will turn the Supreme Court and our rights will be declared unConstitutional!”

I do not share the blind faith and belief that Trump is going to nominate Justices that will uphold and defend what is left of the Constitution. The fact so many have already surrendered to the belief that SCOTUS can write law, decree law and strike down whatever it disagrees with and therefore make law by gavel, engenders the desperation to save the high court from dissolving our liberties. Which proves two things: we already live in a tyranny – and that this people are as ignorant of the Constitution and their inalienable rights as the Leftists are.

The “binary choice” of either Hillary or Trump is no different than being presented with the binary choice of being boiled alive in oil, or being burned alive at the stake.  Which would you take?  The end result is exactly the same no matter which one you choose.

I refuse to make that choice and I have other plans. Should such a choice be ‘forced’ upon us via shaming and intimidation – then it simply confirms the fact that this tyranny you live in,  you have grown comfortable with and would applaud more heinous forms of despotism.  Another ‘unknown evil’.  Which is really not unknown.  History teaches lessons to those willing to learn.

I am not alone in these sentiments:

A Conservative Party No More

Trumpanzeesrule

The Republican Party revealed itself as indistinguishable from the Democrat Party while demonstrating it’s hostility to First Principles under the Trump/Establishment Partnership last week.

Take courage fellow Constitutional Conservatives, Truth has willed itself out.

Last week was not just a repudiation of your foundational principles by an entire party – but a confirmation that the party you called ‘home’ is not what you thought it was.  It has not been for some time.

I admire Ted Cruz.  He gained my utmost respect with what he did last Wednesday night.   The vitriol and hatred being flung at him, his wife, his family and all of us by the GOP and Trump himself, is just another example of a nation and culture that hates what was once considered the pillars of virtue, morality and righteousness.

What transpired last week was validation that a resignation from the GOP is perfectly warranted.  The continuous and relentless attacks on Ted Cruz and Constitutional Conservatives who will not pledge fealty to Trump and the party continues to illustrate that it is not Hillary they fear and despise – but you and me.

That said, there are some Conservatives already talking about a Cruz candidacy in 2020.  I think the sloganeering for Cruz in 2020 is a bit off-putting.  Conservatives do not get wrapped up in cults of personality and assert they can save us and the nation.   Marxists do that.  Fascists (or if you prefer, Nationalist Populists) do that.

If you take time to seriously realize what is happening – this is no longer simple party politics.  You are witnessing the absolute END of a Republic and the start of something frightening and dangerous in terms of your near future and the future of liberty.

That the phrase “defend the Constitution” is booed by delegates at a Convention of a party that portrays itself as it’s only defender (simply because they hate the man speaking it), was as revealing to what the Trump phenomena is all about as anything else you could ever demand in terms of a sign.

It’s time to get sober because all of this is not some sporting event where you can rah-rah your team, have a beer and go home to bed later drunk and happy.  We’ve been fundamentally transformed, and we have all been played.

Sloganeering Cruz in 2020 is absurd considering you are watching the permanent entrenchment of a Ruling Class oligarchy under the false guise of an everyman outsider businessman who will fix all that ails us. The mobs want a monarchy from both the Left and the populist nationalist right.   Constitutional Conservatives are in exodus and in the wilderness.  You are witness to the death of a party and a Republic by an overwhelming majority of the population that no longer has any reverence or use for the foundational principles and the documents that safeguarded liberty.  They want a king.  It’s all about the man, or the woman, or loyalty to a party instead of once solid principles or values.  The absolute absurd and ridiculous efforts made to justify the egregious and the affronts to those principles demonstrates the total abandonment of the pillars of our liberty by both major parties.

They will claim them, and pay lip service to them, but the fruits are easily discernible to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

This is a day to mourn.  Not a day to proclaim a new president, a new savior or caesar for 2020.

A nation has to be re-evangelized to the religious heritage it has discarded and the foundational principles it has abandoned.  A nation has to repent of it’s waywardness.  But the mobs clamoring for Hillary or Trump see no need for such things.  Indeed, even their champions themselves see no need for such humility under God because they see themselves as the means to perfection.  They despise “bible thumpers” and portray anyone suggesting a return to First Principles as religious fanatics who pose a danger to freedom and the separation of church and state.

These nominees reflect the culture and this people.  It’s time to get real about that and stop fooling yourselves that we are a majority, because if we were – the majority has surrendered to ideologies and leaders who are anathema to everything we stood for, replacing them for empty promises of vengeance, walls and punishments to sate their feelings.  And no marvel, for the churches and religious institutions themselves are dwindling in attendance and influence. Government has become god.  Men are made messiahs and saviors.

Cruz has indeed manifested himself as a leader of the kind of Conservatism we still believe in and make us who we are, and he can do well to preach it.  Because until we return to becoming a religious and moral people, we have no hope of having decent leaders, because this people and the mobs will reject them for worse and more heinous wicked ones.  Being deceived and doing the deceiving because they delight in the season of unrighteousness under a sole ruler who is their own authority.

A people have to be won to the principles we once shared before we can give any thought to someone like a Cruz being elected a leader that can administer a nation.

I am not alone in similar sentiment.  Andrew McCarthy shares his views as well:

It’s Not My Party

…..Take away the conservatism, the limited-government constitutionalism, the devotion to liberty, the fiscal discipline, the clear-eyed recognition of America’s enemies, and what are you left with? A Republican party whose only real boast is that it can do statism with more adult moderation than the hard Left that has captured the Democratic party.

Trump Campaign: Put Second Amendment On The Table For Negotiation

carson-guns

Trump Spokesman and former Presidential Candidate Ben Carson asks: why do we really need the 2nd Amendment? Suggests that we should put it “on the table” for negotiation.

So the day after the Marxist Democrats staged a 1960’s retread “Sit-In” on the House Floor yesterday to “protest” the lack of gun control legislation in the aftermath of the Jihad attack in Orlando, the Trump campaign today handed the infantile Democrat rantings legitimacy by actually suggesting that your Second Amendment Rights should be put on the negotiating tablet to entreat the same tyrants that want it eliminated.

MarxistSit-In

As I have been warning, under Trump everything apparently becomes *negotiable* to swing one ‘deal’ for Fascism after another.  From punishing companies like Apple to force them to “Make their damn products here“; to “open up libel laws” to allow public officials and government agencies like the FCC to punish and fine critics; unilaterally rip up all existing trade treaties and impose new ones by fiat; censor the internet in the name of National Security; to APPOINTING Supreme Court Justices rather than nominate them for confirmation by the Senate.

Looks like we will lose our “legal” right to Keep and Bear Arms no matter which of the leading vulgar despotic and Central  Planning candidates gets chosen in November.

As Right Scoop puts it:

This could be sleepy-eyes Carson just blurting out irrationalities like he is often wont to do, but I have a feeling that this is actually a campaign trial ballon. (Trump) already has shown that he’s on the side of the Democrat circle jerk last night, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s wanting to negotiate more on ripping up our 2nd Amendment protections. A trial balloon like this would let him see if the general populace shoots it down immediately with their menacing black “assault rifle” “military grade” AR-15s, or if they let the balloon fly fly away along with their Constitutional rights.

I guess Carson was not ready for Prime Time to uphold and defend the Constitution.

A Very Dangerous Game

Christians who are unmoored from the bible and Jesus Christ, are flocking to a cult of personality that they insist will save the country.

History is an excellent teacher.  It repeatedly reminds us about the failings of human nature and how easily an angry and worried people are stoked into making nationalist populists who promise glory, their kings and dictators.

History teaches that in such times, Constitutions  and bounds of morality are redefined and/or abolished altogether to embrace a new morality that their chosen political saviors preach in the name of saving the state and the people from declared enemies from within and without.

America did not germinate from nor did it become established by the dictates of men in positions of power and office. It was not forged from the top on down like the monarchies of Europe.  It was forged from the bottom on up, by a people who were already self-governed by God.  It was grounded and rooted in the biblical and Christian religions that enshrined the concept of liberty as determined from the scriptures.

Our Founders and Framers and men like Alexis DeToqueville wrote that the success of America as an idea and a nation – is based on the construct that the people should be governed by God and the bible in their personal lives, thus making it unnecessary for an all-intrusive government to rule them.  They warned that the moment Americans abandoned the scriptures and the Christian religion, the nation would cease to be great and that tyrants would forge our chains from within.

All of that knowledge has been discarded for political expediency.  As the culture of this nation continues to grow more wicked and evil, leaders chosen to represent the people become more vulgar, crass, self-serving and ignorant of the very documents they vow an oath to uphold. They became a law unto themselves, and established incrementally – an oligarchy that empowered a dictatorship that has been building a police state after essentially perpetrating a velvet coup, right under our noses.

And so the people, fearful and angry and worried – flock and cheer a  strongman this election cycle.  A man who speaks to the things that the oligarchy has refused to touch or declared off-limits to challenge. He too plays upon their base fears, publicly insults specific persons for scorn and ridicule, targets businesses and institutions that must be punished and forced to run and operate their businesses in accordance to the whims of a single man, to ‘make the country great again’. He is the opposite side of the same coin from a party whose ideology is firmly rooted in the Marxist/Communist philosophy.    The people think he stands in direct opposition to the very agenda and politicians that he himself had funded and supported for years because today he knocks down the sacred cows of the Left in boilerplate speeches without specifics beyond the promises that what he will do will be great.

So the people cheer, just as a past generation had cheered a man who spoke in nearly the same vulgar, arrogant  and inciteful manners with similar ideals to make his country ‘great again’.

IlDuce crowds

In the online forum, bulletin board and social media world – it is becoming an everyday commonality that supporters for such a man are demanding the purging and banning of ‘traitors’ and ‘impure’ persons from myriad online communities.  Some fantasize about actually deporting such ‘dissidents’ along with the illegal aliens that their Champion says he will send back across the border.

Efforts to explain Conservative and Christian principles that mandate a refrain from supporting their candidate are greeted with ridicule, insult and scorn.   Mimicking the very person they idolize by engaging in similar public castigation and insulting harassment.  Mob-like actions of insults and threats occur whenever there is commentary on a news item or blog entry that does not flatter their King-Presumptive, just like the article below has suffered when posted on various fora.  Warnings about future ‘remembrances’ and sometimes subtle and even direct threats of execution for treason are popping up in commentary from the most vocal and rabid True Believers.

I have read the ridicule coming from self-identifying Christians who insist we are not voting for a pastor for president – and that moral behavior is no measure of how a person will govern.  Somehow along the way, brethren have bought the lie sold to us back when Bill Clinton was president, that sexual infidelity, adultery, divorce, false witness, lies and pompous arrogance that would normally define a person’s character, are no longer  a measure to consider.  We have been told they are irrelevant, in the past and no longer important to consider before casting a vote Because the speeches of what their Chosen Political Savior says they will do when in office are more important to the survival of the nation.

It’s one or another we are told, and Donald Trump it is said is better than what we would suffer under Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders.

And this is the justification and rationalization that many Christians I know and respect are lecturing those of us who have decided to stop practicing insanity – by refraining from voting or supporting any of the two choices we are being presented as candidates.

A whole nation can go off the cliff to support someone who leads them to utter ruin.  Christians are not to be of this world, and when there are fruits that call into question someone seeking leadership over us Christians, we should follow the biblical examples and instructions for selecting those who are supposed to represent us and our values and principles.

This will engender hatred and scorn, but as we are finding in this country today – the truth is hated, no matter if it is insisting homosexuality is a sin, or that grown men have no place in women’s bathrooms – even if they self-identify as a woman.

As Steve Deace so excellently points out below, a dangerous game of compromise is being played by those whom God does not expect compromise from.  Perhaps it is time for us to review what scripture has to say about selecting leaders.

DEAR CHRISTIAN LEADERS, YOU’RE PLAYING A VERY DANGEROUS GAME

By: Steve Deace

DISCLAIMER: I am grateful for the opportunity I have here at Conservative Review to reach those on the broad spectrum of conservatism on several issues, some of which conservatives don’t always agree on. But in this case I’m writing to you, Christian leaders, as s very specific target audience. Since it’s arguable no one faces more of a dilemma with this election than you do, for you represent the sacredness of the Gospel even more than conservatism.

Dear Christian Leaders,

I hope this letter finds you well, and I thank you for the time, talent, and treasure you have given to the cause of Christ and its resulting American exceptionalism. Thank you for putting these words from the Scriptures into practice: “Now the Lord is that spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.”

I’m writing this as a 42-year old believer who has been blessed by the works of so many of you. Some of you I am proud to call friends, or know as acquaintances. Some of you I hope to meet someday to share how God used you to take this son of a 15-year old girl raised in a home of abuse, and give him the strength and courage to break generational cycles of dysfunction. If not for your testimonies and willingness to stand for Christ against the prevailing winds of the culture, odds are I would’ve succumbed to them.

I say these things because I want you to know this letter is coming from a place of concern more so than criticism. I struggle with a critical spirit, which is why I’ve waited several weeks before penning this letter that I have started and stopped several times. I needed to make sure I was in a place I could remove as much of myself as possible, and address these concerns in the spirit rather than with my own, haughty one.

With that long disclaimer out of the way, allow me to cut right to the chase.

If you are supporting Donald Trump, or flirting with doing so, you are playing a very dangerous game. There is simply no moral, biblical, or even strategic case for doing so, near as I can tell. And if I’m wrong, then let us come now and reason together.

First of all, holiness and character is of more value in the kingdom than ideological correctness. That is not to say ideological correctness isn’t important, because it is, and it’s where I make my living for the most part. But God has often worked through strange ideological bedfellows to accomplish His will. For example, three of the greatest minds in church history were Augustine, Calvin, and Wesley. Yet they vehemently disagreed with one another, even on vitally important doctrines. However, the fruit of their callings remains impactful to this very day.

Some of you will say, “But wasn’t David a man of poor character and morality and God used him in a mighty way?” Yes, that is true, but others paid dearly for David’s sins. His own nation was plunged into civil war. His daughter was raped by her brother. He had a man killed so he could have his wife.

The point of David’s life is not that he’s the hero, but God is. That God so wants to be known He is willing to even use the worst of us to reach us.

So what made David a man after God’s own heart? That despite all his documented shortcomings, David in the end sought God’s forgiveness and repentance when confronted with “Thou art the man.” Trump, by his own admission, does not have a repentant heart. He has not sought God’s forgiveness, because he doesn’t think he needs it. Thus, the King David-Trump comparisons are flawed exegesis and should cease here.

Furthermore, the Scriptures make clear the qualifications for public office:

Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.

There is simply no way to avoid the conclusion that Trump violates every syllable of these requirements.

Now that we’ve addressed the biblical case, what about the moral one?

Other than that, Trump seems like a righteous dude.

Of course, Paul writes all of us were these things, because all of us were sinners, too. However, we live differently now – or at least should – because we are new creations in Christ. Unfortunately, this campaign has revealed this is who Trump remains to this day.

Finally, let’s look at the strategic argument. Generally, there are three archetypes of politicians in the Scriptures:

  1. Josiah – The true statesman. The man who does the hard thing, no matter how hard it may be, because it is the right thing. A man sold out to the cause of righteousness. Sadly, there are very few of these.
  2. Hezekiah – The typical politician. The man who does the principled thing when it’s easy or it suits him. As in when the Scriptures say one of the holiest celebrations of the Passover since Moses came at the time of his ascendancy. However, when it gets hard, or his ego gets in the way, he will serve himself/mammon instead. So that same Hezekiah is relieved that at the end of his reign the judgment to come, which he contributed to with his own arrogance, won’t take place until he’s dead and buried. Rather than humbly repent and seek God’s mercy as a David might have done. Like most politicians, Hezekiah was principled at first, but less so the longer he was in power. Eventually principle gave way to political expediency.
  3. Ahab – A pure megalomaniac whose only motivation is his own ego, elevation, and experiences. A hedonist/narcissist/tyrant whose only ethos is the golden rule: he who has the gold gets to make all the rules. Thankfully, there are very few of these as well, mainly because they’re like the Lords of the Sith in Star Wars. If there are too many of them, they tend go after one other.

Trump is an Ahab. He is not like anything we have ever dealt with before. He is not a RINO, Republicrat, or any other kind of Hezekiah type. He won’t even pander to you on the bathroom issue when it would help him. Why? Because you’re all nothing but marks to him. He is utterly and undeniably shameless.

Trump is merely a conqueror convinced that if he’s calling all the shots the world would be a better place. He is a law unto himself.

He is the sort of figure we read about in history books. Not a raving madman Hitler type, and those making such comparisons are intellectually lazy and should be dismissed. Nor is Trump even the kind of megalomaniac Obama is, with his Soviet-era style ruthless pursuit of Marxism.

Rather, Trump is merely a conqueror convinced that if he’s calling all the shots the world would be a better place. He is a law unto himself.

In our day and age, Alpha Males are few and far between. So much so that many believe Trump is an Alpha, but he is not. Like most tyrants he is deeply insecure. How many 70-year old men are still defensive about their penis size? And it is those very insecurities that cause him to lash out so maliciously. Think of the damaged Commodus in the movie “Gladiator.”

It is the alpha male that is required to confront and take down the tyrant. Men willing to storm the beaches of Normandy, proclaim we have “no king but Jesus,” or face down Commodus in front of a full crowd at the Coliseum. Where are the alpha males in our day willing to do so? I pray God will raise some up among our ranks.

The tyrant cannot be negotiated with. He cannot be befriended. Nor can he show empathy. For all is weakness to him. Therefore, everything is transactional. You are there for as long as you’re useful, and then gone when you are not.

Like what just happened to Ben Carson, and pretty much everyone else that comes into Trump’s orbit once he’s used them for what he needed at the time. Like how my friend Bob Vander Plaats was a great guy when Trump thought he needed his endorsement, and then Trump called him a crook when he didn’t get it.

Like his spirit animal, Ahab, who came home to whine to his wife about how he couldn’t buy this one property he wanted, Trump takes to Twitter and friendly media enclaves to do the same. And then his Twitter following, and adorning media throng, acts as his Jezebel when she told Ahab just to go take what he wants because he’s the king.

Tyrants cannot be loved on. They must be broken. You will only know if they have been broken if you see the fruit of the spirit in their lives. Do they practice altruism, as in the right thing expecting nothing in return? Is there a public repentance, or a repentance of convenience? Meaning they tell you what you want to hear now just so they can get from you what they want.

When you dance with the devil, the devil doesn’t change. He changes you.

Anything short of that and I can promise you, as God Almighty is my witness, you are being played. And once that is revealed it will not be the tyrant that is exposed for scorn and mockery, but you.

Every. Single. Time.

In short, this is a dangerous game. This is not dining with sinners. This is attempting to evangelize Herod’s Court, where even Christ himself kept silent among such godlessness and darkness. You have never been this way before. He is unlike anything you have encountered. He would arguably be the most personally damaged and feckless individual ever to occupy the Oval Office.

He is beyond the milquetoast pabulum the system usually serves up, which is why he was able to crush the system. When you dance with the devil, the devil doesn’t change. He changes you.

He will see your willingness to love on him as weakness. He is laughing at you now, even as we speak, for wanting to meet with him. He sees it as the groveling of the already defeated. There’s a reason he attracts heretical Paula White types who are only in this for personal gain, too. Because real recognize real.

Such a man can be brought to Christ, because nothing is beyond the power of Christ. However, he must be broken like any wild stallion, or a prodigal son. He must hit rock bottom, such as when Nebuchadnezzar was sent to live as a wild animal. He must be shown there is a power greater than he, otherwise he will believe he is that power.

Just as you wouldn’t reward a petulant, rebellious teenager with more power and pleasure, the absolute worst thing that you can do is reward such a man just the same. You will not pierce his heart, but he will break yours.

In conclusion, I urge you to consider these two final questions:

  1. Do you really believe you could look Jesus in the eye at your judgment and justify supporting such a man for the most powerful office in the world?
  2. If you do support him, must we then apologize to the Clintons for the stones we threw at their immorality, as well as to others whose sin we have rightly lobbied against in the past since we’re now excusing it from Trump?

I know what the alternative appears to be, and I do not wish it. If she becomes president, I will oppose her Leftist schemes as I always have (unlike Trump, who lavished praise and financial contributions upon her). But I am not afraid of Hillary Clinton. Let me tell you what I am afraid of.

I am afraid of the message we will be sending this culture by compromising everything we claim to believe in, by supporting a man who embodies everything we supposedly oppose. And I’m afraid the cost for that message could transcend generations, as the culture declares we are the emperor who has no clothes. That when push comes to shove we offer them nothing not already of this world. The same fear-mongering and situational ethics they can get anywhere else. Just minus all that annoyingly sanctimonious moralizing. We will confirm for them they were right to tune us out. That we are who they thought we were. We will write the God-haters’ material for them.

That will have consequences for our fellow countrymen that will last long past the next four years.

I urge you, as a representative of the next generation who will someday take your place, please do not put us any further behind the eight ball with this culture than we already are. They already don’t trust us, nor do they take us seriously, and that’s if they don’t ignore us altogether.

Give us a real chance to reach the next generation, rather than spending years defending the indefensible simply because there is an “R” after its name.

The scriptures say we are not Christians because of our hermeneutically sound systematic theology. Or because we follow creeds. But because we testify to the fact that God supernaturally reached down into history to raise His Son from the dead. The Son who God gave to pay the penalty we deserve because He loved us so. To demonstrate that love, God was willing to lose something of tremendous value to Him, as testimony of His love for us.

His only Son.

We came to Christ because of that testimony. We bowed at the knee to Jesus and chose to follow him because he showed what he was willing to lose for us. Love knows no greater man than Jesus, who laid down his life for his friends.

Perhaps we have lost this culture because we haven’t shown it similar sacrificial love. We haven’t shown them we’re willing to lose anything for what we believe, except the same things of this world they value.

Not to mention maybe, just maybe, God would providentially award such faithfulness in the sort of supernatural ways He has for His people in the past? Perhaps we do not see God move in such ways in our day because we prefer our ways to His?

And where has that gotten us — an election between Hillary and her donor.

This is our rendezvous with destiny. Except this time it isn’t wrestling with existential threats outside of us, but the brokenness inside of us.

We don’t need Barabbas the zealot. We need Jesus. And we have the means to give them Jesus, if only we have the faith and courage of conviction. When we came to Christ did we know for sure how it would turn out, or did we have faith? Let us stop trying to manipulate outcomes as our adversaries do, and instead show real faith that while we do not know what the future holds, we know who holds the future.

Duty is ours, but outcomes belong to God.

Thank you for reading my letter and at least considering these words. I pray you will fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish the race.

Do Not Be Deceived – This Election Is Not Going To Save Us

Monarchy

The Republic is already lost and gone.

We had a velvet coup – no one noticed, no one believes it. Yet the evidence is all there, right in your faces – and everyone pretends it’s not so. Factions and party cheering the shell game to preserve the facade of what we once were, while the masterminds play us all like cards.

Half the population has made government their god, and the other half is looking to make their chosen political messiah, king.  More than two-thirds of the country now look at the Office of President as a quasi-monarchy; a defacto dictatorship that will benefit them and their causes.  This fact is made self-evident by the numbers of people who assume that their candidate will be able to do all the things they campaign on via diktat:  Make the sea levels fall; stop the Climate; Build a wall, make Mexico pay for it;  punitive tariffs; punish banks; redistribute wealth; ban guns etc., etc., etc.  They care not for whatever character flaws, past associations, past positions or wavering statements their Chosen makes.  He/She/It will lead them and theirs to the promised land of prosperity to those who salute and support their Chosen, and everlasting punishment for those who are declared traitors for failure to prostrate themselves before their One.

The hatred and vitriol being flung at everyone who does not support their political messiah, has reached levels of frightening proportion:  Death threats; banning from social media and forum sites;  Lawsuits; Promises of retribution; calls for Party purging of those who will not bend the knee to the presumptive nominee.

Everything you are witnessing right now, are the death throes of a civil society fast devolving into the morass of anarchy, tribalism and Statism.

It’s what history teaches every failed republic goes through right before sown seeds of chaos and massive upheaval gives way to an oppressive dictatorship that a majority applauds for the empty promise of order, sustenance and revenge. You already hear and see those sentiments being expressed.

We are weak. Divided. Immoral. Ignorant. Unthinking. Unprincipled and infected with a fatal case of Normalcy Bias.

The consequences of which we are just beginning to feel.

Is that harsh?  Yes. But the truth often is.

Sadly, as history also teaches – the vast, vast majority – never wants to hear it, and often set upon those trying to warn and plead with them.

This election is not going to save us. We saw our last legitimate national election in 2008.

You cannot stop tyranny by civil means, PERIOD.  Neither can you enjoy the blessings of liberty when most of the nation no longer shares your core principles or culture.  Saving a rotting culture and discarded Republic are not possible without repentance, which even few churches and leaders are even willing to mention, much less implore. Instead we have intolerant “tolerance”, Chrislam, Black Lives Matters, Nationalist Populism and Democratic Socialism. Any opposition surrenders itself wholesale to threats or tears itself apart in virulence unseen towards those whom perpetrated their servitude.

We have yet to reap what we have already sown, and God is not going to hear a nation’s pleas in calamity when it has discarded Him.

Instead, He is going to laugh at us because He has given us over to our own ways. Proverbs 1:24-32

Truly this people demand to do what is right in their own eyes and destroy those who dare attempt to restrain their passions .  Whether it be killing their unborn, identifying themselves as the opposite sex so as to play pervert in public bathrooms, or force those “holy rollers” to participate in their wickedness and celebrate it by force of law, the vast majority turn an indifferent eye while an activist minority grow ever-more violent at any perceived slight.    The people seig-heil the candidate who affirms wickedness and denounces those as evil whom plead with a people to reconcile themselves to righteousness, to recapture and cherish a morality and heritage they no longer consider valid because “pragmatism” trumps principle.

Ever the speed of our demise increases with each passing day – and most refuse to even consider the consequence of what we have already done and permitted.

The Cup of Iniquity runneth over, and The Almighty Lord of All Creation will laugh at us when our next 9-11 befalls us.

If this makes you angry – your problem is with the truth and perhaps your faith is in men and their institutions, which gets to the actual root cause of why we have arrived at this point to begin with.

Peasants Rouseth A Worm Frometh The Pit!

TrumpDragon

Forsooth! Cometh Dragons whose fierce breath the rabble pray slayeth the Knights ’round the Moat Potomac of thine Kingdome of Beltway

Whilst I nay pledge Trump as my liege lord, the Serfs riseth behind the Breedbate to agauw the Nobles and terror taketh their thought.

Pay ear to thine minstrel who telleth the tale thou fop doodles nay understandeth we afterlings rage at the royal Beltway banners!

It Cometh from the Pit:And Hath a Knout

by  Fred Reed

fairykingdom

Once upon a time there was a fairy kingdom that lived inside a place called The Beltway, and was surrounded on all four sides by a land called America. The Beltway was aligned with another kingdom called Manhattan, inhabited by disembodied heads that spoke from the walls of bars, and with with yet another closed kingdom called Hollywood, the abode of half-educated narcissists. These kingdoms were in eternal political syzygy, and spoke not with the people of the surrounding lands, of whom they knew nothing. The following is a chronicle of what befell them, and why.

After years of peace, the Kingdoms were taken greatly aback by the rise of the Trump Monster, their surprise being proof that they knew nothing of the surrounding lands. They knew nothing for good reasons, of which there were two. The first was that they passed their lives with each other and among each other and talking to each other and writing about each other and reading about each other behind the high walls of their kingdoms. In organs like National Review and The Weekly Standard they endlessly wrote stories of the form “A soothsayer in Manhattan replies to what some other sayer of sooths said about yet another’s attack on someone else.”

They had all dwelt in monasteries called Harvard and Princeton, where they learned that they were the wisest of men, and inerrant. They had no idea that they were hated in the strange lands without the walls, which on their maps were drawn as fog with notations such as “Here dwelleth dragons.” They did not know that there were people who agreed not with them. For were they not right about all things?

The other reason for their puzzlement was a powerful spell called “Political Correctness.” This strong magic prevented the outlanders from saying anything that the Three Kingdoms did not want to hear.
Anyone who engaged incantations called “slurs,” which were truthful thoughts about sacred tribes, or who said Inappropriate Things about a certain little country whose only importance was being that little country, was thrown into durance vile. Thus the Three Kingdoms never heard anything they didn’t like, and so believed that almost everyone without the walls loved them. They had scarce an idea what furies were roiling and boiling and stirring under the surface of the Outer Realms.

Now, until the Trump Monster appeared, the America was ruled by a pseudo-democracy of one bicephalous party with two names. The Only Party consisted of blackguards and Quislings and pickpockets bought and paid for by the plutocratic oligarchy of large corporations, AIPAC, and the. very rich. These told the two halves of the One Party what to do. Every four years there was played a great tournament in which candidates of the Two Names of the One Party engaged in the most savage combat imaginable. This was to distract the people outside the walls . Afterwards nothing changed and all went on as before, though the division of the spoils shifted a bit.

And in their ignorance and pride the Three Kingdoms engendered a monster called Trump, and it bit them.

The Only Party had always controlled the villeins because it controlled the choice of pretenders to the throne. A pretender gained the Presidency by buying it, and the rich who provided that money controlled as vassals those who accepted it. The pretenders were as straw and melons sold in a market.

Furthermore, the scribes and oracles of the Kingdoms said aloud only those things that were meet for the surrounding peasantry to hear. The puissant spell of Political Correctness amounted to a societal mute button and prevented the Holy Orders within the Three Kingdoms from noticing what stirred without.

Until the Trump Monster came raging, slouching toward Bethlehem, with which the Kingdoms confused themselves.

And there was afright and desperation and rending of teeth and gnashing of hair for many were the rice bowls threatened.

The darkest of horrors was that the serfs might come to choose the manner of their government. For long years the Bicephalous Party had presided over that most desirable form of democracy in which the people had no power. This laudable state they had maintained by never talking about anything of substance, such as unending wars in remote lands beyond the edges of the maps, or the importation of slaves from curious and unwholesome countries or the manufactures of all things by foreign dwarves.

A great broil ensured. The people saw for the first time a chance to manage their destinies and rose up for the Trump Monster. Inside the Beltway, the Wise and Good–for did they not so denominate themselves?–were greatly astonished. “What manner of wight can this be?” they asked in wonder. They said that the Trump Monster was beguiling fools, the cracked, and those who represented the worst in America. And the scribes and oracles were sore afraid, for most of the outlying populace appeared to belong to these tribes.

One of the Two Names of the One Party, the Democrats, sent forth a dreadful creature called Hillary to fight in single combat with the Trump Monster. Her very visage turned men to stone, it was said. She was held to be of one blood with Boadicea, Jeanne d’Arc, Lucretia Borgia, and Bonnie Parker.

The Three Kingdoms were at one with her, as she was corrupt, mendacious, criminal, and ugly, as well as suffering coughing fits and dizzy spells. Surely, said the scribes and oracles, any monster must fly screaming from her mere presence.

Yet it seemed that the Trump was no common monster. Every time he was beset by the scribes and oracles of the Beltway, he grew stronger, and a sulfurous smoke breathed from his mouth. With drawn swords the Trump Monster and the crumbling ruin yclept Hillary circled each other.

And beyond the parapets and crenellations of the Three Kingdoms the sky grew darker. Inside the Beltway and in Manhattan, the disembodied heads railed and raged, but with every blast the helots jointed the Trump Monster in larger numbers, for they hated the Insiders. In Hollywood the Half-Educated Narcissists said ever stupider things, but these had not their usual effect.

In their pride the Three Kingdoms had engendered Nemesis, and they watched in terror behind the ramparts as the sky grew darker and strange shapes twisted in the looming clouds and the Trump Monster strode ever nearer, breathing fire.

America Doomed To A Fate Worse Than What History’s Lessons Teach

The-Fall

History and human nature display the certain doom for any semblance of an American Representative Republic from ever returning.  Rome’s Fall would be a better fate for us than what is now coming.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”  – George Satayana

““When the situation was manageable it was neglected, and now that it is thoroughly out of hand we apply too late the remedies which then might have effected a cure. There is nothing new in the story. It is as old as the sibylline books. It falls into that long, dismal catalogue of the fruitlessness of experience and the confirmed unteachability of mankind. Want of foresight, unwillingness to act when action would be simple and effective, lack of clear thinking, confusion of counsel until the emergency comes, until self-preservation strikes its jarring gong–these are the features which constitute the endless repetition of history.” – Winston Churchill, House of Commons, 2 May 1935

To quote the scriptures to emphasize the point the two men above made if you believe that God is the same yesterday, today and forever:

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. – Hosea 4:6

Because America has not only forgotten God and declared His Laws and Ways to be evil, criminal, racist and discriminatory, it has also the notorious distinction that the bulk of it’s citizens and populace totally ignore history and human nature as completely irrelevant to them.  They see no reason to understand history outside of the revisionist pap being taught in every public school about how rotten this nation was at it’s foundation.

They do not care that the Republic has been fundamentally transformed into a despotic tyranny of which they are comfortable.  As long as Breads and Circuses are constantly maintained, it does not matter which emperor the factions clamor for: Caligula or Nero, Trump or Hillary – the end-result is exactly the same: ruins.  Willfully discarded by their own people for the empty promises of hope, change and greatness by those whom intend to rule, rather than govern.

The following essay opines that the best-case scenario for America at this point, is the fate of Rome.

For America, the Fall of the Roman Empire Is the Best Case Scenario

A lot of people, especially Millennials with degrees in Intersectional Climate Change Gender Studies, may not know it, but there is a way to anticipate what’s going to happen in the future. It’s not perfect, but it helps you make educated guesses about what’s next. It’s called “History,” and apparently no one in our ruling class has ever heard of it.

Roman history is especially applicable to America and all of Western civilization. The Romans had a good run, but then their moral, political, and cultural weaknesses grew insurmountable and the empire fell. Not all at once, mind you, but slowly – Rome fell long before the barbarians showed up at the city gates and started looting. Rome was powerful enough that its unworthy inheritors were able to live off the corpse for a few centuries before its enemies finished it off. In fact, Rome today still lives off the past. You go to Rome today primarily to see the ruins, and to shake your head over what the Romans just threw away.

The first phase of Roman civilization was the Republic, with something like a democracy (at least for some people) but with a definite rule of law, formal and especially informal. Noble Romans dedicated their lives to upholding these informal norms and values, the mos maiorum that formed the foundation of their society. The elite had its indulgences, but the expectation of a young noble Roman was that he would be highly educated, that he would serve Rome in its Army, and then move into politics and continue to serve in a series of governmental and diplomatic offices. And, if it came to it, he was expected to die for Rome.

But human nature asserted itself and the Republic became unstable, as factions developed and the mos maiorum was put aside for the sake of expediency. Populist politicians arose and agitated for the rights of regular Romans; the patricians were scandalized and fought back, sometimes killing the populist leaders. Eventually, some cunning Romans figured out that the armies they had been entrusted with were useful for more than crushing Rome’s foreign enemies. Sulla and then Caesar, frustrated by the checks and balances of the Republic – neither of them was a check and balance kind of guy – used their commands to take power. They were emperors in all but name; after the patricians tried one last time to reassert the Republic by getting stabby with Julius, the empire was born.

And thus began a period of glory that was in reality merely a blip in the long trend line downward. With the Republic gone, there was an imperial bureaucracy to take on many of the responsibilities citizens had once personally undertaken. The defense of Rome was outsourced to barbarians, who were allowed into Roman territory but never integrated. That, of course, went poorly. But Republican Rome’s inertia was strong enough to propel the Western empire on for another five centuries before it finally collapsed in exhaustion.

And now our civilization is likewise demonstrating its own shortness of breath, with Europe a few decades ahead of us on the downslope. Europe is utterly exhausted. It believes in nothing – its churches are empty and that hopelessness has translated into a demographic death spiral. Europe does nothing new and merely feeds off of the fading triumphs of the last century. Its politics are frozen in a cycle of failure even as the barbarians it unwisely invited into its midst establish their own internal kingdoms. The elite is no longer composed of citizen-soldier-politicians in the mode of the ancient Roman patricians, or even the modern Winston Churchill. Instead, it is all bland bureaucrats, terrified of losing power and using their regulatory cudgel to squelch the unrest by marginalizing the unsatisfied and outlawing the speech of the uncooperative.

But while the elite obsesses about stomping out “racism” and “sexism” and “cisnormativity,” the real enemy slaughters Europeans at will. But pretty soon the surviving Europeans’ waning survival instinct will kick in and they will notice that Muslim terrorists are not running free in Putin’s Russia. Then they too will reject the chaos of their failing Republic for strongmen, and their course will be set.

Here at home, the left has tossed out our own American mos maiorum, with Obama leading the charge to disregard the norms and customs that he finds far too constricting. Obama is the poster child for the ruling class’s decline. He is poorly educated – internalizing your commie prof’s clichés and lies does not make you educated even if your degree says “Harvard” – and utterly without any personal investment through service to his country (Obama in the military? That’s a laugh. Do they make camo mom pants?). Of course he has no respect for our norms and customs – he does not know anything about them and he has no personal investment in them. He has no business running anything, as he has amply demonstrated during perhaps the most damaging presidency since James Buchannan’s.

Led by pedestrian street agitators like Obama and his equally undistinguished cohort of leftist allies, the left has gleefully chipped at the foundations of our American Republic, not understanding that our society is not static. They cannot disregard the rules and expect the rest of us to keep obeying them. Oh, some try – the GOP establishment’s supine response to Obama can be understood as a desperate gambit to try and preserve the old ways. They hope – without basis – that Obama is merely a blip and that after he flies off into his narcissistic sunset in a gas-guzzling jet things will go back to normal. Their strategy is passive. They want to wait him out.

But the rest of us don’t want to wait and see if that happens. We want to respond. And that’s why we have two very different candidates promoting two very different responses. We have Ted Cruz, who is promoting radical action to return to the American Republic, with a focus on the Constitution. He is the true American mos maiorum candidate.

And then we have Donald Trump, who cares nothing for norms and customs and embraces raw power much as Obama and the left do, only he promises to protect the interests of a different constituency. He’s a would-be Caesarean strongman/savior, though to analogize him further to Julius Caesar is to insult the concept of analogies. Trump is a vulgar fool milking phony populism for power, best understood as a particularly tacky Graachi. Unlike them, Trump is both ignorant and a coward, but like them, if he does get elected president, he will be cut off at the knees by the patricians of the establishment.

Hillary Clinton is an even more anti-Republic candidate. Like Trump and Obama, she cares nothing for anything but power. Another sub-par mind trading off her degrees from a half century ago, this unaccomplished, bitter harridan lacks the wisdom to chart a course that avoids aggravating our society’s already gaping wounds. Instead, she’ll pour salt into them for no reason other than her own delight at asserting power, gleefully poking at normals with initiatives like forcing women to accept men into their bathrooms and trying to disarm the law-abiding. Inevitably, she will be stunned when she finds her actions greeted by a reaction she cannot control, and the American Republic will disappear as her rule by power is replaced by her opponents’ rule by power. Oh, we may get a good emperor or two along the way, but history tells us how this story ends.

Someday, after the gloom of the next Dark Age clears, some tourist from a society that has rediscovered liberty will look at the ruins of the Capitol and shake his head at the fools who did not realize what they were throwing away.
