Obama Ups Ante – Wires Barry-Cades Together To Prevent Access To WWII Memorial

Park Service Ranger: “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”

After three days of Vets and Honor Flight members storming the Barry-Cades erected to keep Americans out of their open-air memorials – Obama escalates the conflict by having the Park Service wire the barricades together and thus prevent veterans and their families from visiting the open air WWII memorial.

In addition, Obama has had the Park Service close the Vietnam Veterans memorial and ordered those who breached the barricades this afternoon to leave and they reinforced those barricades as well.

…The veterans then moved the (Vietnam Memorial) barricade and walked down to the wall to pay their respects. But a flood of tourists followed even though the memorial is closed to the general public.U.S. Park Police arrive to the scene, asked everyone to leave and put the barricade back into place.

The petulant man-child wannabe emperor has his regime order the shut down and barricading of open air monuments and parks, coming up with funds and money from somewhere to pay government employees to shutter, barricade and stand guard over areas that are not usually guarded or barricaded.  It’s an infuriating issue that Obama is willing to escalate and pour salt into the already-festering anger that is boiling out in the nation.

WWII Memorial Barricade Wired Shut And Reinforced

Barriers are still at the memorial, and they’ve been reinforced. This morning, I walked by the memorial and noticed that wires had been used to tie the fences together.

Who is ordering the National Park Service to go to such great lengths to shut down the open-air World War II memorial that is usually unguarded? On Tuesday, Carol Johnson of the National Park Service told me that the White House’s Office of Management and Budget “sends everything down to all other departments. We are part of the Interior. Interior gives us our instructions.”

“This administration thinks this is a political game,” Rep. Louis Gohmert, R-Texas, said to Fox News Wednesday. “This is outrageous. This is a sidewalk. Leave it open! I’m wondering what are they going to do next — hang a drapery over Mt. Rushmore? I mean, this is ridiculous!”

It seems ridiculous to most bewildered Americans, but this is the way Marxist Revolutionaries begin imposing an iron fist.  This is how it begins and escalates into a forced violent confrontation.  But then this is what Marxists NEED in order to implement their next phase of revolution.

Obama is having a lot of fun using the government shutdown to squeeze the public in imaginative ways.

The point of the shutdown game is to see who can squeeze hardest, make the most pious speech and listen for the applause. It’s a variation on the grade-school ritual of “you show me yours, and I’ll show you mine.”…He has closed Washington down as tight as he dares, emphasizing the trivial and the petty in making life as inconvenient as he can for the greatest number. It’s all in a noble cause, of course. Access to most of the memorials is limited, and often in curious ways. The Lincoln Memorial is easy to reach, with the streets around it remaining open….The Park Service appears to be closing streets on mere whim and caprice. The rangers even closed the parking lot at Mount Vernon, where the plantation home of George Washington is a favorite tourist destination. That was after they barred the new World War II Memorial on the Mall to veterans of World War II. But the government does not own Mount Vernon; it is privately owned by the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association. The ladies bought it years ago to preserve it as a national memorial. The feds closed access to the parking lots this week, even though the lots are jointly owned with the Mount Vernon ladies. The rangers are from the government, and they’re only here to help.

The Obama regime has deployed an army of feds to barricade public AND private parks, memorials and statues in the name of a government shutdown. This move is calculated with the intent to project pain upon the American people, with the hope they will rebuke Republicans and force capitulation to Obama’s agenda.

The regime lies when they say they cannot avoid barricading sidewalks that pass memorials. This is obvious in that it actually costs money to create the barricades, whereas it costs nothing to leave them out of the way.  War Memorials have NEVER been closed off during a shutdown.

Now that vets and their families have breached Obama’s barrycades in the first few days – Obama’s regime is taking it up a notch by wiring the gates and barriers shut to make pushing them out of the way more difficult.

That these vets had to breach barbed wire and machine gun nests of the Nazi’s in Europe and the Imperial Japanese some 70 years ago, only to have to be faced with their own government wiring their memorial closed is beyond sickening.

But it is a calculated escalation.  One that the regime is plotting and laying a trap and bait for.

The 2 Million Bikers movement has begun “Free The memorial” ride to DC for Saturday the 5th.  Since Obama apparently wants a confrontation, it appears the Biker movement is happy to oblige.

In this atmosphere, I fear we will quickly move from wire cutters to firearms.  But that is EXACTLY what the Obama regime and the MarxoFascists want.  They want a war.  And they are already stockpiled with BILLIONS of hollow point ammunition, tanks, APCs and MRAPs staged throughout the country to war on the American people.

There is no other explanation for either these actions and the arming and militarization of domestic police, SWAT and other agents of the government.

Obama ‘Selectively’ Closed Most Popular Memorials

‘Honor Flights’ of WW II Vets will be permitted to memorial.  Other Americans will be barred says Park Service.  Obama now decides which American Citizens are afforded First Amendment Rights.

As most of us knew, Obama is playing politics to intimidate opposition to his agenda and/or incite a civil war with the petulant temper tantrum shutting down open air memorials, yanking websites offline and blaming the entire fiasco on his political opposition while his sycophant stormtroopers in the media suggest Obama use the military to punish Tea Party Conservatives.

Proof of the former is found from a House Committee that cites Obama’s regime choosing the most popular memorials for targeted closure and shuttering.  This is the same old thing Obama did with his Sequester that shut down military air shows and flyovers during parades and events this past Summer.

After Tuesday and Wednesday’s storming of the Barry-Cades by angry vets into the WWII Memorial, the firestorm forced a change in tactics by the Obama regime and the Department of the Interior who now say the Memorial can stay open for vets for “First Amendment Activity”.  I guess to Obama, some 1st Amendment Rights are more equal than others.

On Wednesday, the Obama administration attempted to take the World War II memorial issue off the table by allowing monuments to reopen for groups like the Honor Flight vets.

“My understanding is that the closure order provides a process for accepting First Amendment activities on National Mall and memorial parks in D.C. and in Philadelphia,” he said.

Obama is an angry petulant man-child wielding his imperial power like a toddler having a hissy fit attempting to inflict as much pain on the American people as  possible so he can blame it on his political enemies and Breitbart has the story:

According to the House Committee on Natural Resources, the Obama administration has taken the unusual step of shutting down only the most popular tourist memorials in the nation’s capital, including the World War II Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, and the National Mall. Other, lesser-visited sites, have been left open. “[T]he Obama Administration is applying this policy inconsistently and choosing which memorials to block off and which to keep open. While these popular monuments remain barricaded, other U.S. Park properties such as the Constitutional Gardens and Japanese Americans Memorial remain completely open,” the Committee said in a press release.

House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings stated, “It appears as though only the highly visible monuments and areas are being closed to the public – further proof that the Obama Administration is only playing politics and purposely choosing to make this shut down as painful as possible. Their actions are shameful and wrong.”

Vets Storm Memorial After Obama Orders It Closed – Obama Orders Memorials Re-Barricaded, Will Arrest ‘Violators’

WWII Veterans will not take Obama-imposed blockade lying down on a memorial paid for almost entirely by PRIVATE donations.  Park Service says they are ordered to arrest any further intrusions past barricades.

They were the Greatest Generation, now in their late 80’s and 90’s – going on Honor Flights to see the memorial erected in their honor by almost entirely private donations for what they achieved.  Their memorial is an open-air tribute requiring no staff, same as the Lincoln Memorial.  But His Heinous – Emperor Obama, the Petulant Man-Child, tossed his tantrum over the government shut-down – and ON HIS ORDERS, BARRICADED AND SHUT DOWN THOSE MEMORIALS.  Stephen Hayes reports via twitchy:

That means that the order to barricade and close the open-air memorials came from either Obama himself or his staff (Valerie Jarrett anyone?)

Not even during the Clinton-era shutdown were the open air memorials barricaded and shut down.

However, Honor Flight veterans who stormed the beaches at Normandy and slugged it out with the Imperial Japanese in the Pacific were not going to allow Fuhrer-Emperor Obama to stand in their way. They stormed past the barricades and went into the memorial erected in their honor, Obama’s petulance be damned.

World War II veterans storm DC memorial, shutdown be damned

Hilarity ensued in Washington on Tuesday when busloads of World War II veterans on an Honor Flight to visit the World War II Memorial were halted at BARRY-CADES closing it off due to the shutdown.

Having traveled so far to be turned back because of Obama’s petulance, the veterans—many of them in wheelchairs—stormed right past the gates, “pushing them over” to get inside the memorial before a Parks Department employee (still on the job somehow) relented and removed them, allowing everyone inside rather than suffer very bad ‘optics’.

It is amazing that while there is a so-called government shut-down – that the Federal Government has money to pay for personnel, file, barricades, fencing and security to blockade open-air memorials in order to keep the American people OUT of their own memorials and to stand guard when under normal conditions, they are not present.

Since Tuesday’s ‘breach’ of Obama’s ordered barricade of the nation’s memorials – Obama has ordered a redoubling of barricades and more security to keep Americans out – with orders to arrest anyone breaching those barricades.  Welcome to Obama’s Amerika.

The Obama administration is adding more barricades at the World War Two Memorial in Washington, D.C. this morning, according to reporters on the scene.

The reinforcements are being put in place apparently to prevent a repeat of yesterday when WWII veterans aided by several Republican Congressmen pushed aside barricades to visit their memorial.

Buzzfeed got no response from the White House last night when queried about the administration closing the memorial to veterans.

A report last night claimed that the Park Service would arrest veterans who attempt to visit the WWII Memorial.

By Wednesday morning, there is apparently enough money and manpower to erect a fortress of gates and wire around the open-air memorials and to station police to stand guard 24/7.

 

Today, there is more security and more guards at the Lincoln Memorial than at our Annex in Benghazi in 2012 when Al Qaeda attacked and killed 4 Americans including our ambassador.

The excuse the park Service offers is feeble, maintaining is that the government requires people on duty know CPR.  A bogus excuse. The Memorial is open-air and open to the public 24 hours a day, even though previously staffed only part of the day.  Most veterans are aided by family and other staff attending to medical needs.

His Heinous Obama is angry at the violation of his Barry-Cades and is sending in reinforcements to ensure that the memorials remained off-limits to Americans.  In reply, Americans and Veterans are showing up in greater numbers to the memorial today.  Another Honor Flight of vets is scheduled for next Wednesday, and a showdown between an army of Fed employees and veterans who kicked Hitler and Tojo’s asses may be in store.  The vets and their supports vow to up the ante of their protest:

After a group of veterans broke down the barricades at the national World War II Memorial Tuesday afternoon, organizers of one Hero Flight Network group told BuzzFeed it wasn’t the last Washington would hear from them. Veterans are plotting another protest at the same place Wednesday, and expressed interest in staging similar events at sites across the nation’s capital, including the Lincoln Memorial — an act of civil disobedience that would likely pour fuel on the already highly flammable politics of the government shutdown.

“We have people here that are 80 and 90 years old and they closed down all the bathrooms?” said Tony Nussbaum, a 25-year veteran of the Air Force from Iowa and a leader of the state’s Hero Flight group. “I’m about to just start pissing on the trees.”

…On Tuesday, The Daily Caller reported that a Mississippi Republican representative attempted to get a special pass for the Hero Flight veterans from the Department of the Interior but was denied. A White House official reportedly told organizers, “It’s a government shutdown, what do you expect?” when asked about opening the memorial to the veterans. The White House did not respond to BuzzFeed’s request for comment Tuesday.

Reports exist that orders have come down to arrest anyone *tresspassing* the Barry-Cades.
