Greens Are The New Reds: Environmentalists Demand End To Capitalism

Environmental and Climate Change groups declare global warming cannot be stopped until Capitalism is abolished.  Draw up ‘Margarita Declaration’.

Pretty sure that margaritas must have played a major contributing factor in the insipid and idiotic imbecility of the world’s Communists and Marxists demanding an end to Capitalism.  Hiding within the Environmental movement, today’s Greens are just Reds masquerading as ‘Sky-Is-Falling’ global warming evangelists to deceive America into surrendering to Communism as a measure of faith to the planet.  So in a conference of Global Warming addicts and propagandists sponsored by the UN, they yanked off the green masks they were wearing and openly declared what the Environmental movement is really all about: demanding the end of Capitalism and installing a global Marxist/Communist system “For the good of the children…. err – planet”.

Enshrined in a document of raw absurdity called the “Margarita Declaration”, 130 UN environmental groups meeting in a Socialist utopia of Venezuela, declare Capitalism to blame for global warming and demand the end of Capitalism.  “To combat climate change it is necessary to change the system,” the declaration states.

So as many Conservatives have been warning – the Climate Change Environmental movement is nothing but a front to impose Communism and Marxism.  Perhaps maybe now some might wake up to the reasons WHY Obama has been implementing his “Climate Change” policies via diktat and decree.

Climate Change/Global warming IS and ALWAYS HAS BEEN A HOAX – a crow bar designed to pummel and impose Communism upon an ignorant people clueless of how the bastardized world of science and media could be used to strip away your liberties.

130 Environmental Groups Call For An End To Capitalism

Environmentalists have declared that global warming can’t be stopped without ending the “hegemonic capitalist system,” saying that cap-and-trade systems and conservation efforts are “false solutions.”

“The structural causes of climate change are linked to the current capitalist hegemonic system,” reads the final draft of the Margarita Declaration, presented at a conference including about 130 environmental groups.

“To combat climate change it is necessary to change the system,” the declaration adds.

Environmental activists met in the oil producing, socialist country of Venezuela as part of a United Nations-backed event to increase civil engagement in the lead up to a major climate conference.

But environmentalists surprised U.N. officials by offering up a declaration that not only seeks to end capitalism, but one that also opposes U.N.-backed efforts to fight global warming — namely, cap-and-trade and forest conservation programs.

Climate-change news analysis site RTCC reports that it’s unclear which groups signed onto the declaration, adding that it runs in the face of the “green economy” solutions to global warming backed by rich nations.

But many poor countries, like Venezuela, do not support a “green economy” solution to global warming, instead, arguing that rich countries should give poor nations cash payments and technology transfers.

Rejection of cap-and-trade and forest conservation programs also fly in the face of U.S. and European environmental groups, which back programs to limit and price carbon dioxide emissions.

In the U.S., environmentalists rallied behind the Environmental Protection Agency proposals to cut carbon dioxide emissions from new and existing power plants — a plan that would force the shutdown of coal-fired power plants.

“Climate disruption is the greatest challenge facing our generation,” Michael Brune, the director of the Sierra Club, said in a statement in June. “Until now, power plants have been allowed to dump unlimited amounts of carbon pollution into our air, driving dangerous climate disruption, and fueling severe drought, wildfires, heat waves and superstorms.”

“EPA is setting up our states to fail – our local economies to fail – to deliver on the president’s promise that electricity prices will skyrocket – all for immeasurable so-called climate benefits,” Louisiana Republican Sen. David Vitter said in a Thursday hearing on the EPA’s new rule. ”This rule is all pain and no gain.”

Lines Are Being Drawn – The Time For Talk Is Over

Several weeks ago, I read an editorial posted at NC Renegade’s site from a veteran who sees this nation at the brink of impending war within itself.  The startling truth of what the vet had stated so calmly, without malice but with determination – left me unsettled since I read it.   It is a sober truth, one that few are willing to acknowledge.  I was reticent about linking to it, and even for me – the truth about what he posted was something I was unwilling to admit to myself.  The Normalcy Bias still has a grip on me in these evil days despite my own pessimism of our near future.

As I read that editorial, it evoked immediate sadness and a heart wrenching  over a truth I did not want to accept: America has reached the breaking point and it’s people are now hopelessly divided.  Divided to the point of resigning themselves to the formerly unthinkable in order to preserve what they cherish, in the face of those who are advocating the dismantling of our institutions and foundations that they see standing in their way.  I knew he spoke truth, and I recognize some people with wisdom, understand what time we have arrived at as a nation.  Written calmly, with regret and resignation – he and many, many like him – are preparing to do what must be done when that last mistake by tyrants is made.

In the weeks that have passed since I first read it, statements, writings, suggestions and visceral vocal hatreds made by those on the Progressive/Left against Christian Conservatives, the Constitution and liberty-minded Americans, have made that editorial’s recognition of reality self-evident.  I did not really want to believe the civil society had broken down to the point of separation or war.   The White House petitions for secession and the vitriol in response, were merely the first real outward signs that the body politic is no longer willing to abide one another.  Indeed, there are those advocating we forcibly strip away or ignore the very bulwarks of the civil society in favor of what Obama and the Progressive/MarxoFascists will impose upon us.

It is those rantings of the “progressives’ and Marxofascists against those in opposition to the Left’s actions in the last several weeks, that confirms what the Veteran already understood; the time to water the tree of liberty may be near at hand.   Like someone who was diagnosed with a terminal disease, I have passed the points of disbelief, denial, and anger – into acceptance of where I did not wish to believe this nation stood.

Obama and the ‘Progressive’ Left in America lecture that there are Two America’s – coined from a speech given in 2004 by disgraced Democrat Adulterer John Edwards.  Those Two Americas he outlined were The Haves and the Have Nots.  Right thinking Americans understand those Two Americas to be the Makers and the Takers.  The Left sees them as the Evil Rich of White Privilege, and the Disenfranchised Minorities.

Middle and Conservative America made the mistake of assuming such rhetoric was considered nonsense by the majority.  A mistake that may yet prove fatal.  Not only did the Progressive/Liberal/Left believe in Two Americas – they went into a cold war with the America many of us on the Right believed in. This is one reason why the Left is so willing to empower government to punish, penalize and eventually eradicate the ‘other America’.  An America that they consider to be evil, racist, rich, white, intolerant, bigoted and detrimental to the planet.  An America they suggest needs to be ‘replaced‘, ‘ignored” and ‘changed’ and certain of it’s people ‘silenced‘, ‘rounded up and jailed‘ or ‘summarily executed in their homes’ and Republican politicians chained to pickup trucks and dragged around a parking lot – mockingly suggestive in half-joking humor.

Given this rhetoric of late from the Obama media and Leftist talking heads, I now believe we are past the point of peaceably co-existing alongside the Progressive/Liberal/Left ideology  in America.  They are going to force their ideology upon us at the end of a government gun – or we are going to resist with our own guns.  There is seemingly no other outcome at this point.  

Such rhetoric from the Obama Progressive Left – as I’ve linked to – establishes the hard fact of what I just stated.  They publish and broadcast such vileness with impunity, inciting their comrades to support government tyranny upon those they are opposed.  Imagine the insane uproar and calls for arrests and imprisonment if Limbaugh or Beck or some Conservative pundit suggested Democrat politicians be dragged across parking lots until they change their views or that liberal citizens should be summarily executed in their homes.  But the Left continues to spew such hate and make suggestive Brownshirt-level thuggeries and intimidations – with nary a harsh rebuttal.

We must understand: MarxoFascists are hell-bent in their woeful ignorance and malice, upon plundering, punishing and subjugating the America and Americans they loathe and hate.

We cannot exist peaceably alongside such ideologues, these self-proclaimed ‘Progressives’ because they will not live and let live or leave well enough alone.  They do not trust their neighbors with liberty or freedom or possession.  They see the Constitution as the cause of our national problems and those who revere it as ‘cultists‘.  They only trust themselves, and the government they empower to redistribute what they deem to be fair.  Dare to question them, their hypocrisy and their agenda – they will have their minions rough you up:

But it is much worse than just an ideology whose pig-Latin Motto is “Gibsmedat!”  To read and hear them now, is nothing short of the kinds of rhetoric an obsessed party has for a Socialist dictator ranting against his political enemies.  The willingness of so many to empower government into a tyranny in order to subjugate their countrymen and neighbors to accept ideals anathema to our national and religious foundations is no longer in doubt.  In fact, the longer Americans are willing to allow the Progressives and Leftists in America to continue to war upon our foundations without stopping them cold, the more certain liberty as we have known it – will be eliminated.  Of course, that is their goal.

I have read of these moments before in history, when it becomes pointless to appeal to common sense and reason from such ideologues. They are entrenched upon imposing their ideology inasmuch as Conservative Constitutionalists are resolved to resist them.  When one side refuses to relent it’s imposition, and the other side – if it compromises any further – surrenders itself to subjugation, an impasse exists that ultimately leads to conflict.  A moment arrives where there is but two choices left a people: submission to tyranny and slavery, or resisting by force of arms to the death.

We are very near to that last moment if it is not already upon us.

Winston Churchill noted, there is but a window of time to stop madness before the cost in blood is more than a people can bear.  A people unwilling to fight when the cost is minimal will cost them everything later on.  Should that window of time pass without effort to rectify evil when it is easily defeated, there comes a time when a feeble resistance to preserve one’s own life or to live in subjugation, is all that is left a people.  And then, even that becomes futility.

We are now in that window of time.

There is no possibility of co-existing alongside the Progressive Left in America today.  They do not seek to co-exist.  They seek to shame and ridicule.  They seek to dominate and subjugate.  They seek to intimidate – which is why the MarxoFascists tell us that disarming us is a ‘fait accompli’ because they possess and control drones that can kill us from 20,000 feet up without risk to themselves.  A declaration of tyranny in itself to assert we are powerless against them. That subtle suggestion should rock every American to their core that such people would so casually advocate military air power be used on citizens.  To the Leftist, such is merely the means to an end, and perfectly justifiable since they see the Conservative Right and their bitter clinging ways as a danger to them.

It should not surprise us, for that is the nature of the ‘Progressive’ ideology.  Same as it is for the nature of sin itself.  As the Apostle Paul wrote – “a little leaven leavens the whole lump” (Galatians 5:9) –   Sin is never content to sit alongside righteousness. It will ALWAYS work to eradicate and subjugate morality and redefine it in order to justify sin’s dominance.  Likewise the nature of Progressive/Liberal/MarxoFascists will never be content to sit alongside the America they despise.  They are working to eradicate and subjugate it, redefining morality to justify their dominance, and using newspeak to get the low information person to go along with great-sounding platitudes of their Big Lies.  All in the name of the Children, or Safety, or common sense, or intellect.  Genocides begin under such societies.

For they will demonize, ridicule and openly declare their hatred of Conservative/Constitutional Americans, and Southern White Christian Males.  They demand we surrender our rights and principles, bow down to their king, embrace their evil hedonism, submit ourselves to government and allow ourselves to be disarmed.  They encourage their president to act as dictator, to ignore the rule of law and impose his will by fiat.  They have perverted the law and the courts to their will.   They ally themselves with our Jihadist enemies, decry Christendom and shove abomination by force of law down our throats and into our faces.  They openly call for the deaths of those Americans asserting their God-granted and Constitutionally-protected Rights and gleefully suggest the subjugation of entire areas of the country where Progressive/Liberal MarxoFascism is eschewed. They call for the abolishment of the Constitution and suggest that those who oppose them and the fundamental transformation of our society are committing treason.

White, “Christian” and Treasonous: Who Will They Kill?

A bunch of far right white mostly southern paranoid extremists are preparing for armed revolution and apocalypse. They speak treason: literally….Let’s talk about racism and white Southern males who can’t get with the program. Let’s talk about what’s really going on with “gun rights,” which has nothing to do with hunting or home protection or even the Second Amendment, but has everything to do with the delusional paranoia of people who really believe the world is out to get them because it’s changing from white to brown, from homophobic to tolerant, from exclusionary to inclusionary, from anti-woman to pro-woman.

With the evidence of those positions made manifest, how then can anyone think  that those of us whom they declared enemies, continue to co-exist alongside such people?  What do we have in common any longer?  It is clear we do not define liberty or freedom in the same way.

“The founders may have disagreed on many things, but they agreed on the meaning of liberty: the right to live as an individual, without centralized planning infringing basic property rights, economic opportunities, and religious freedoms. Obama’s fundamental redefinition of liberty to include communitarianism is not merely wrong, it spells the end of the political commonality that has held the fabric of the nation together. If we define liberty differently, then there is nothing to talk about: my liberty is your tyranny, and vice versa. Our goals can never be shared. That gap can never be bridged.“

I think a large number of those whom signed petitions for Secession understand this fact.  Only one side is going to prevail in this fight: tyrannical Leftist/Socialist government and secular hedonists – or individual Constitutionalists, biblical Christians and Libertarians.  The latter already defined by this government as being domestic terrorists and a danger to the nation.  Clearly this regime in power and it’s supporters see us as a larger danger to their power and safety than from Jihadists.

Since that is the obvious case, there is no point in remaining a united nation.   No point in pretending we are all Americans with a shared sense of core values.   No point in accommodating and affording time, space or opportunity for the Progressive Left’s viewpoints in our realms of ownership and influence.  No point in maintaining friendships or communication with those who see us as terrorists and would happily see us rounded up, imprisoned and eliminated.  It is time to separate, defy and ignore those who would impose themselves upon us and the edicts and decrees they make.

Can a sheep in this age really think it can lie down with the lion and not end up in the belly of the beast?

Some Americans already understand where we have arrived.  They see no need to serve or assist Progressive Leftists in their own destruction.  Some are firing employees who support the regime.  Ending friendships, partnerships, business and correspondence with those who support the liberal/Left/Marxist ideology.  They no longer wish to read, hear or see what the Progressive Leftists/Statists have to say about anything any longer.  While the Left continues to ridicule, demonize and castigate the Constitutional Right, Conservatives are becoming quiet, receding from engagement and going ‘Galt’.  An unsettled calm is emerging, the ‘deep breath before the plunge’ mimicking shades of what I have read existed in early 1860-61.  Meanwhile the Left thinks they have won and now dominate the public square in discourse with increasing disdain and overreach – while Conservatives are furiously but quietly preparing for a much feared outcome.

The stark truth of understanding where we have arrived is what the veteran was resigning himself to knowing; there is no further possibility of peaceably co-existing with the Progressive Left.  To do so, leavens the entire lump.  The time for talk is over.  There can be no peace with such people and their ideology if God is our Sovereign and liberty our unalienable gift.  Our only choice is going to be submission to slavery and eventual eradication – or resisting by every and all manners, up to and including deadly force – to the death.  Patrick Henry understood that also and gave an impassioned sermon at the House of Burgesses over nearly the same exact issues, one that should echo in our minds and hearts.

What our forbears understood when faced with the same situation some 238 years ago – was that submission to the “Legal” authority being forced upon them was breaking the First Commandment of the Lord, by allowing a king and his government to legislate and replace God as their sovereign.  Galatians 5:1 became the rallying scripture for Independence, and likewise now for our generation – Americans who cherish the liberty enshrined for us by Almighty God will have a duty to resist and throw off those who would become our evil masters once they make their last mistake.

In fact, this duty is the actionable clause in the Declaration of Independence which states:

when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

As the veteran has steeled himself to prepare for the inevitable, I too have resigned myself to accept that the Progressive/MarxoFascist Left will make that last mistake – and it will then become our duty to act as the Declaration states.  As Jefferson wrote and I paraphrase for this generation:

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our liberal Progressive Countrymen. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by the legislatures to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of our Constitutional Rights and historical heritage. We have appealed to their sense of logic, justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common nationality to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our union. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

The editorial from the Vet is essentially saying the same, exact thing Jefferson, Adams and Franklin wrote above.  It comes down to the fact that a free people can no longer abide those who are working to fundamentally transform their nation, and in the process – rob them of their unalienable rights, their wealth and eventually their freedom and their lives.

All that is left is to defend ourselves against them, and for many in America – they are preparing for that need, not IF – but WHEN.  You might see this essay as nonsense and pooh-pooh the conclusions, but Americans are not breaking records buying guns and ammo to hunt rabbits and squirrels. They KNOW the Obama regime and it’s Alphabets are also stocking up on hollow point ammunition in the BILLIONS of rounds and arming their police and alphabet agencies.  I fear a bloodbath in the model of the French is in our very near future.  But the choice is either to live as slaves and be eliminated by the MarxoFascists and the State – or to resist them.

There is a time for everything under Heaven, including the unthinkable.

A Time to Kill

I am a soldier.  I know what war looks like, what it sounds like, smells like, what it feels like in my soul.

I stand today in the twilight of my nation’s grace, looking into the darkness of impending war.

My sleep is troubled, knowing what awaits, yet the ignorant and the ‘true believers’ sleep easily in their delusions, and I am saddened by it.

Daily, I see the Blackhawk and Apache helicopters flying over my city, the military vehicles which appear so frequently now on our roads, often with ‘guns up’ in violation of Posse Comitatus, and I know why they prepare, that it is not far off.

Nightly I hear the report of gunfire near my home, the noise angry men make as they prepare to boil over.  These are not soldiers – they are but angry men.  And though I share their well-justified anger, I am cautious with them, for they are not disciplined, and they know not the face of war, nor the burdens it imposes upon mind, body, and soul.  Because of this, they are dangerous, and I am saddened by this – that dangerous men should roam the streets near my home, full of anger and the lust for vengeance.

All about me are the ceaseless murmurs of soulless politicians and media propagandists, who wear their agendas on their sleeves as a badge of superiority, and the boundless echoes of their contrived ‘message’ assaults me from all sides, even repeated from the mouths of dear friends, and I am saddened by it.

I bear witness to the fact that throughout my lifetime, the lifeblood of my republic has been drained away by greedy and self-serving men, from high to low, who contrive nought but deception against their neighbors and countrymen, and who fail to consider that their children and mine shall share the same fate, the same future, and I am saddened by it.

But I am a soldier, and I know what must be done; and so I shall put away my sadness and I shall harness up the bitter steed of war, and gird myself up for the battle; and I shall ride out to meet the enemies of Liberty; not in rage, not for anger sake or the hope of vengeance; but because I swore an oath before God, to jealously guard our Republic and its Constitution against all enemies; Him I shall not disappoint, for He is my Hope and my Trust.

Therefore, as much as my soul laments against the harsh truth before me, I make this declaration to my enemies who press me into this battle, that none shall be able to afterwards say “I did not know, you did not warn me”;

I do not care why you took that job with the government, or why you continue to hold it.  I only know that you have become Judas and sold yourself to an oppressive state – your government office buildings and vehicles are part of the battlefield, and as a soldier I shall act accordingly.

I do not care why, as a journalist, you choose to spin and corrupt the news, rather than report the plain truth and let the people judge for themselves.  I only know that you have violated the public trust in the most vile and seditious manner, and thus your homes, offices, studios, vehicles, and any other place you may find yourself are part of the battlefield, and as a soldier I shall act accordingly.

I do not care why you signed that union card.  I only know that you pay dues to a communist organization which conducts treasonous works against my Republic daily – and so your union hall and your work-sites are part of the battlefield, and as a soldier I shall act accordingly.

I do not care that you only voted for the traitor because you are elderly/disabled or otherwise dependent upon government largess.  Are you so ignorant and/or disinterested that you could not see through their propaganda, to the fact that your sustenance was assured either way?  What have you gained now that the public housing areas you live in, and the public facilities you depend on are part of the battlefield?  Though I am a soldier, I can afford you little protection, for you have placed yourselves on the battlefield.

I know that all of these places andall of these people are part of the battlefield ,not just because I am a soldier, and have experienced a few battlefields in my day; but also because our President declares that even our own homes are on the battlefield, whether we wish them to be or not, and I have no choice but to believe him; it’s not just that the NDAA passed – a battlefield is not defined by law; it’s the profound build-up of martial power and resources across my once-great nation which tells me a battle is being prepared here.  Over two billion rounds of ammunition procured by DHS and its sub-agencies in the past 18 months, plus machine guns in the tens of thousands, armored vehicles, combat aircraft, drones, and other implements of war being staged throughout our nation, our home – how do you explain that except as the preparation for battle?

I will fight not because I desire it, but because I cannot justify any other course of action – when the enemy attacks, you must fight – you must kill or you will die.

I smell you, my enemy; I can feel the ambush you have laid for me and my true countrymen, all about like a sticky spider’s web, yet we will not back down, and though you will kill some of us, you will not get us all before we have finished with you.

I stand here, ready, on the eve of battle, and I ask God why I have been brough to the threshold of this battlefield, about to be thrust in, when I though my soldiering days were through; and I am reminded that there is by His decree, a Time to Kill, as well as a Time to Die…  who am I to question why?

 Saddle up, boys, it’s time to ride out and meet them.

 

Revolution? Line in the Sand Drawn

If there is one element missing from today’s liberty fight, it is the lack of participation from America’s pastors. By and large they are MIA. How many pastors today are warning their congregations of the threat against their Second Amendment liberties? Every pastor in America, regardless of denomination, should have already started proclaiming “the spirit of resistance” (Thomas Jefferson) to their church congregations; they should already be extolling the Biblical mandate to resist tyranny; they should already be warning their congregations of Barack Obama and Dianne Feinstein’s plan to disarm them.

Let me ask my church-going readers: has your pastor said one word from the pulpit regarding the impending gun ban now being drafted? Has your pastor explained the Biblical principles of lawful resistance? Has your pastor exhorted his church congregation to not surrender their firearms and to do everything in their power to demand that your senators and legislators hold the line for the Second Amendment? And my next question is if your pastor has not done any of this, why are you still attending that church?

Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), speaking on “MSNBC Live” on Jan. 16 said that “some of the southern areas have cultures that we have to overcome” when it comes to gun control.

I asked, “Well what is going to happen to those people that we can’t re-educate, that are diehard capitalists?”  And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated; and when I pursued this further they estimated that they would have to eliminate twenty-five million people in these re-education centers — and when I say “eliminate,” I mean kill; twenty-five million people….  And they were dead serious.

Will You Submit & Obey?

The moment is at hand. We will either stand up and be reckoned with as free men – or we will sit down forever and accept any degradation, any humiliation. The Bulldozer Morality of the MarxoFascist Left

This essay by Daniel Greenfield is perfectly spot-on in it’s analysis of the zeitgeist of the Marxofascist Utopian Leftists that easily capture the emoting class of America that no longer thinks or knows our history.  It needed to be reblogged here.

On reading his excellent illustration of what we face in America, a bulldozer of vapid redefined morality, I cannot help but think of the scripture that Jesus warned would take place upon His followers at the close of the Age:

 They will put you out of the congregations, but an hour is coming that everyone killing you will think to bear a service before God. John 16:2

To be genuinely outraged about something, you need to actually believe in something. Without principles, outrage is just tactical anger, or bullying in plainer language. Principles, values and codes are universal. That is if you are angry about a dog being mistreated by riding on top of a car, then you should at least be equally angry at dogs being eaten.

If a man shooting another man after a confrontation and not being charged for it angers you, then it should anger you regardless of the color of his skin. For that matter if racism or sexism offends you, then it should offend you regardless of whether it is directed at a woman or a black man who is a liberal or a conservative.

It’s child play to notice that the game doesn’t work this way anymore. That the media engages in displays of tactical anger, serious-face inquiries into issues that they are concerned about only when they benefit their side, manufactured outrage that is not based on any deeply held beliefs, but only on the need to score some points.

If Republicans seem slower on the uptake, it’s because their ranks tend to be stocked with old fashioned types who even in their more liberal incarnations still try to maintain consistent values. The mindset that that they confront is alien to all but a few of their opposition political operatives. It is a mindset devoid of any values, operating on a Pavlovian reflex that reacts to talking points without framing them in any larger context.

Media moral bullying follows this course, raising issues that they pretend are vital principles, but stop being so the moment they no longer benefit them. The iron clad value of a moment ago is discarded into the trash a second later. The serious faces relax, the twitter accounts go dead and all the attention is refocused on some truly important issue, like the next iPhone.

It’s not entirely cynical, though it mostly is. The people behaving this way have lost the ability to recognize enduring abstract principles that have an existence beyond their emotions of the moment. They don’t live by rules, rather rules live by them, if they are angry, then their anger is a moral issue, if they are not angry, it isn’t. Emotions are the only moral barometer that people who cannot see beyond the self have.

That makes them natural bullies, their shows of outrage lifting their anger up to self-righteousness. Their tactical anger is part pretense, part real, and even they don’t really know the difference anymore. They have been taught that their momentary moral tantrums make them good people, they have not however been taught to be good people. They believe that they are right because they are angry and that they are angry because they are right. It’s an attitude you can see in traffic arguments, in divorce court and on the evening news.

Like well trained Oceanians, it depends on audiences in colorful Keffiyah scarves and ironic t-shirts who rise eagerly for the daily Two-Minute Hates, shouting against racism, patriarchy, carbon, oil, corporate personhood and logos, gun rights, animal testing, heteronormative bathrooms and any of the endless list of things to be outraged by, without the ability to apply their denunciations to a moral code.

Oceanian propaganda was deliberately inconsistent so that none of its citizens developed a consistent code that might allow them to judge the system even by its own rules. Left-wing talking points tend to be like that, consistently inconsistent, willfully senseless, cultivating an instinct for mob rage, for hours of political analysis, but no steady rules of conduct that would apply to the analyzers.

The only consistent principle that we are good and they are bad. If you understand that Republicans are racists, that a cabal of corporations, zionists and christian fanatics are plotting to take over the country, and that they hate anyone who is different from them, then you have all the context that you need to understand the liberal message. Without that it’s gibberish. With it, it’s simplistic but comprehensible propaganda.

Boiled down to its essence, the liberal message is that we are good people, because they are bad people. The new Democrats sticker which reads, “Not a Republican” aptly sums up this void. It follows that good people cannot be bad and that bad people cannot be good, and once you accept this message, no further ethics or morals are needed. The very goodness of your side is all the moral code you need.

Identity politics substitutes for a moral code, not so much racial politics as racial tolerance politics which holds that liberals are more ethical, because they are more tolerant, better people because they care. The only crime they are ever guilty of is caring too much. Even the Communists and the terrorists were just too outraged by all the capitalism, racism and zionism, and had no choice but to start shooting and starving people.

It’s possible to spend years immersed in this swill without realizing that none of it is moral or ethical, that it’s “They are bad, we are good”  blaring from every radio and television set. Morality and ethics is about principles that apply across the board. When your only principle is that your group is good and your enemies are bad, then not only are you devoid of morals and ethics, but you are incapable of recognizing immoral and unethical behavior except with a gut instinct that your ideology has trained you to discard.

Cognitive dissonance sets in over everything from Communist gulags to Occupy Wall Street rapes, if things aren’t supposed to happen, then they never did. When the ideological good confronts the real world bad, either ideology dies or morality dies. Historically it’s more often been the latter than the former. Just ask one of the good Nazis or good Communists who had decent home lives, loved their children and pets, and kept on believing in everything except right and wrong.

When you take a bulldozer to traditional values, what takes its place is bulldozer ideology, the expedient virtue of bulldozing things and the virtue of whatever rises in their place. Once you believe in the bulldozer, then you must also believe in whatever mess follows in its wake, otherwise you are forced to take a long hard look at the virtue of the bulldozer. And once that happens, you are one step away from becoming a reactionary clinging to traditional values.

What has grown in the wake of the bulldozer is bulldozer ethics, situational ethics that justify the virtue of bulldozing things as a vital moral principle, disguising their appeal in calls to fairness, justice, decency, tolerance and a thousand other virtues that they never practice across the board.

Bulldozer values call forth explosive faux moral tantrums at anything that stands in front of the bulldozer. These tantrums can be seen on the late night news, on the front page of the New York Times, which long ago stopped relegating its moral tantrums and special pleading to the editorial page, on liberal blogs and a thousand other places. They don’t however represent moral or ethics, only the virtue of the bulldozer– the virtue of power.

The country must know about Romney’s dog riding on top of the car. Why? Because it shows that Romney is a bad person. They must not know about Obama eating dogs, because it might make him ‘wrongly’ seem like a bad person. The only consistent value here is that of the bulldozer. Obama is driving the bulldozer, and so he must be protected, just the same way that the media protected Clinton in his own private war on women and their right to say no to being groped or propositioned, because back then he was driving the bulldozer. When Clinton briefly got in the way of Obama’s bulldozer, then the media bulldozed him.

There is genuine anger over Romney’s dog on their side, not because they care about dogs, though they often do, in the same detached way that they care about the Third World, but because they already believe that he is a bad person. Any anecdote that makes him a bad person feeds their anger. It isn’t an outrage based on principles, but on their burning hate for anyone who stands in front of the bulldozer. They already know that all such people are bad, any story that reinforces this feeds into an existing anger, much the same way that people who hate Jews, Christians, the Chinese, women or dog owners feed off selective incidents that fit their narrative. And they mistake their shoddy bigotry for moral outrage.

When your only moral value is that of the bulldozer and its destructive rampage, then you have all the moral values of your chosen instrument. The moral tantrums are destructive, rather than constructive, they never seem to fulfill their stated mission of healing America and making it a better place (unless you consider provoking multiple racist attacks over the Zimmerman case to be that) but like driving a bulldozer into someone’s house, they make them feel good.

And that is what it’s really all about. The ego. The moral power of the self. The destruction of the old by people who are convinced that they are the new order. That they are the young, even when they are old. That the destruction they leave in their wake is really construction. And that anyone who thwarts their destructive impulses is the enemy and that destroying him is an absolute good.

These are the morals of the bulldozer and the values of liberal America.

It’s a veritable cornucopia of Obamagandistic musical agitprop. You’ll recall the militaristic, fascist-styled Obama youth corps from 2008 where a line of inner city youth stamped out their obeisance militia-like to The One like good little automatons? Perhaps the slickly produced exploitation of sweet faced children from Hollywood that same year will ring a bell? Or maybe your favorite is this misuse of class time in Georgia? Or per chance you’ll recall “Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm“? These are excellent examples of the Obama version of Leni Riefenstahl’s art.

But those? Well, those are all low class affairs done without an entire orchestra to back them up.

Now we have the brilliance of School children in Illinois, Comrade Obama’s home turf, to add to the din of young musicians enslaved to efforts to exalt Dear Leader. And this tops them all in production values — or at least in scope — for the Midwest Young Artists organization, a group dedicated to “inspiration through music,” has taken upon itself to give the Obammessiah the full orchestral treatment along with a choir and a spoken word segment to round out the production. Uncle Joe couldn’t have created a better display of fealty to Dear Leader. Kim Jong Il is likely red with envy.

Like a good little soldier for the cause Gary Fry, the Choral Program Director and Voices Rising Director for MYA, sat himself down to try his hand at composing a Wagnerian masterpiece, one of which any dictator would be proud. And boy does he deliver. (The original source may be found at theWMYA.fm page) After he was done with his Wagnerian moment, Mr. Fry had his piece performed on February 21, 2010 at Pick-Staiger Auditorium in Evanston, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. And he enlisted the service of an entire auditorium of Chicago area school children for his paean to Dear Leader.

Now if you can excuse the miscues of these young artists, after all they are only in middle school, if you can set aside your need for technical perfection from the performers for just a minute, if you can look past the occasionally off-key squawk of a horn here, or a missed cue there, you really should watch this thing. Watch this video and listen to the grand scope of what Gary “Nietzsche cum Wagner” Fry was aiming for and it is sure to send a thrill down your leg and satisfy your need to stand up and salute your glorious leader in the White House. Long live Obama, long live Obama…

Perhaps you are as disgusted by this as I am? These orgiastic examples of propaganda for Obama are sickening we all know. In fact, not only are they sickening, entirely un-American, and even dangerous, they are hypocritical. After all, the same drooling, Obamagobsmacked pseudo intellectuals that created these bits of PR puffery would have been apoplectic if so many schools would have sang songs extolling the virtues of George W. Bush… or any other Republican for that matter. Call it a brainwashing tool, call it agitprop, indoctrination, or what ever you like. But at least when we’ve had celebrations of president in schools in the past the president in question at least had the decency to have already left office or even died — or at the very least was in attendance at the performance to politely applaud the little kiddie’s efforts.

These various efforts at Obamaganda were un-burdened by any rationale but to inculcate praises for dear leader in the young, impressionable minds of our school children.

Yep, it’s pretty disgusting, alright.

Obama and America’s Marxist Politburo, Burying What Remains of The Republic

From Healthcare, to Cap and Trade, Obama and the Marxists in the Politburo have circumvented the Constitution and Congressional rules negating over two centuries of law and procedure.

While the American people were busy shopping for Christmas; catching the latest tabloid sexual tryst involving Tiger Woods’ pursuit of a harem; or standing in line at the unemployment office praying for yet another extension of benefits, the Politburo in Washington has buried the remaining vestiges of the Constitutional republic they swore an oath to defend and uphold.

Every day – another outrage, another lie, another trouncing of liberty takes place by this evil Marxist regime in power.  A few weeks ago – Obama did a pre-emptive end-run around the Constitutional requirement of Senate ratification of whatever Climate Change treaty Obama signs in Copenhagen by empowering the EPA to regulate the air we exhale, essentially implementing the punative accords the Global Warming Socialists want put upon America.

Pretending they were still beholden to the rule of law and our founding documents, the Marxist Democrats – doing the express will of Dear Leader Obama, have joined The One in throwing dirt into the hole in which Obama has flung what remained of a Constitutional Republic.  We learned this week that while the Senate was supposedly debating in public what was ostensibly the “healthcare bill” – Democrats were behind closed doors in secret, crafting “another” healthcare bill that they sought to slip in past everyone’s notice.

On Tuesday, American Socialist Party member Bernie Sanders introduced a 767 page Communist single-payer “amendment” (has there EVER been an “amendment” to a bill that large before?) on the Senate floor.  No one had seen or heard of this “amendment” until Sanders submitted it because it was drafted by key Democrats in secret behind closed doors. Stunned by this move after Republicans were shut out of the entire process, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) requested that any health care amendment considered by the Senate be offered at least 72 hours in advance of debate and with a full cost report.  He was rebuffed by Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) for making the request and was denied.  Coburn then invoked the parliamentary right to require that Sanders’ entire Amendment be read aloud. 

This sent the Marxists into shrill orbit, who essentially demanded that they be allowed to shove their amendments drafted in secret to the floor without either the Senators or the Americans people the ability to know what the Amendments contain before the Senate votes on them.

Of course the GOP strategy was to slow down the Marxist juggernaut of a health care bill after bribes, graft, extortion and direct threats were made to Democrats who were wavering on their support of Obama’s final nail in the coffin of liberty.  Using parlimentary rules that were established back in 1789 that affords Senators the right to ask that bills be read unless a unanimous consent vote to suspend is given, Little Mussolini Harry Reid decided to haul the Parliamentary Officer back into his chambers to make him an ‘offer he could not refuse’.  Three hours after the reading of Sanders’ single-payer amendment began, Harry Reid threw out over two centuries of rules and traditions – to allow the Socialist Sanders to withdraw his Amendment.  This was a gross violation of not only procedure, but American tradition of law and precedent.

The Republic was swept into the grave – and now the Marxists are planning to throw dirt upon a gasping system that our Founders established once Obama gets his legislative ability to empower the government to decide all matters of everyone’s life…… and death.

As Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-K) said in a statement late Thursday: “Here’s the most outrageous part: at the end of this rush, they want us to vote on a bill that no one outside the Majority Leader’s conference room has even seen.  That’s right. The final bill we’ll vote on isn’t even the one we’ve had on the floor. It’s the deal Democrat leaders have been trying to work out in private”.  

What McConnell finally woke up to was the fact that the Democrats were orchestrating a bait and switch by Obama, Reid and Pelosi right under his nose.  The Sanders Amendment created a single-payer health care program by expanding Medicare to the point it would essentially take over as the instrument of administering Universal Government-run Fascist Health Care.

This is nothing new – in fact, it is exactly what Obama himself has stated was the process by which he envisioned implementing single-payer Socialized Health Care.  Sanders’ Amendment was simply the Obama-drafted switch to the ruse and bait Harry Reid was feeding the Senate for the last few weeks.

“This entire process…is essentially a charade,” McConnell said.

Obama’s Communists Now Ruling the USA: Republic is Formally Dead

The bribes issued by Sen. Harry Reid and the threats issued by the Marxist usurper and dictator-in-Chief in order to garner votes for the ObamaCare Death Plan have now reached almost legendary proportions. In order to end cloture, Reid actually had $300 Millions for Louisiana written into the Senate’s ObamaCare Death Plan version to buy Senator Mary Landrieu’s (D-LA) vote.

It worked. Landrieu even bragged about it. Now, the would-be Chicago-style godfather Obama has threatened the hold-out Nebraska Democrat Senator Ben Nelson with closure of Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force base (which employs over 10,000 people and is the headquarters for the US Strategic Command) if he doesn’t play ball with him, the USA’s head mobster, and vote for the bill that will begin the ultimate slavery of the American people.

Note: Obama is so bent upon getting his way and destroying the USA that he is now openly—and in full view of all—threatening to place the country in even more jeopardy. The Communist Obama Government now has a stranglehold on the United States of America, its legislators and its people and he will NOT willingly let go. In fact, as his smile beams even more broadly he is squeezing ever tighter to end our lives and the life of our country.

In order to bring former Democrat and now Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) into line, Obama ordered his minions to go on a search-and-destroy mission against Lieberman’s wife Hadassah. After his Tuesday press conference, it appears that Sen. Lieberman may have folded like the proverbial cheap suit.

Here are only a few of the facts:

1. The ObamaCare Death Plan will gut Medicare by at least $500 Billions—in order to rid Obama & Co of Senior citizens. Seniors were forced into Medicare years ago and now they’re being told it’s time for them to die
2. The pro-abortion language, if removed for the vote, will be added back in when the Senate and House cone together to “blend” the bills
3. The government-run portion of the bill, which was ostensibly removed, will be added back in when the Senate and House cone together to “blend” the bills. Even if it isn’t now done now, the framework for all of the additional Obama-run new government agencies (over 140 of them) will remain in the Obama Death Plan
4. The Marriage Penalty remains in the Obama Death Plan. You didn’t seriously believe this was about health care—did you?
5. The Death Plan includes provisions for the Obama-run government to enter private homes in order to observe how parents are raising their children and to “counsel” said parents

There is so much wrong with this plan and the House plan—think total slavery—that it cannot be fixed. So, they will pass it anyway with a “damn the people” and “damn the Republic” attitude. When this horror passes, folks, it will mark the formal end of our Republic. We will then officially enter the beginnings of the Bondage Phase of our existence. Our rulers in Washington D.C. stopped listening to us some time back. They pay no attention to us when we march and/or question them at Town Hall meetings. Instead, Obama has found a way to ensure that he and his like-minded cohorts are never again voted out of office. The Obama has announced his plan to also shove Amnesty for Illegals and Democrat votes down our throats. Obama & Co pass one set of laws for what used to be We-the-People and another set for themselves—the ruling elite.

Pelosi touring the mighty bastion of Chinese Communism today, announced a tenet of pure Communism for the serfs of the world that she considers should be imposed on anyone not in a politburo.  Preaching the Communist doctrine of Global Warming to the approval of her Communist Comrades in the Chinese Government, the sickening excuse for a Speaker of the House stated  “We have so much room for improvement.  Every aspect of our lives must be subjected to an inventory … of how we are taking responsibility.”

While that may sound pleasing to Communist overlords – them is fighting words to any red-blooded American who should look upon this treasonous lying scumbaglady as a traitor to the Constitution, to liberty, to life and to the pursuit of happiness.  

We must subject our LIVES to government inventory to make sure we are “responsible”????

And once they begin doing this – what criteria will they use to determine “proper responsibility” by us little people who pay their salaries?  Will it extend beyond what property we own to what we eat and teach our children?

Of course it will.  Welcome to the blueprint of Communist imposition and slavery…all under the umbrella of saving the planet from “Climate change”.

Meanwhile, Iran and North Korea have nukes and are preparing to use them.

But Comade Pelosi  wasn’t done making an unmitigated ass of herself, she opened her yap again to vomit out this absurd profundity: “The impact of climate change is a tremendous risk to the security and well-being of our countries.” and added ” “It’s a place where human rights — looking out for the needs of the poor in terms of climate change and healthy environment — are a human right.”

Communism is A HUMAN RIGHT?  The imposition of communist tools to ‘inventory’ and ‘control’ we the people is a HUMAN RIGHT?

Hell no!  It’s despotism disguised as a trojan horse.  But the emoting classes of people indoctrinated to this crap – true believers in this religious tenet of Communism are going to continue to support and preach this same gospel of slavery and servitude.

In tandem with Comrade Pelosi’s comments, Comrade Dear Leader Obama last night said at a fundraiser for his party of Marxists: “I’m confident in the future, but I’m not yet content,” adding, “Los Angeles, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”

War has been declared and is being waged upon America and liberty by these Marxist revolutionaries, sabotaging our culture, our economy and our liberty.

We roll over to increasing controls and tyranny upon our lives.  We whimper when property is taken from us and given to others in redistribution programs.  We ignore the fact the fact Obama has said and believes he needs to return America’s wealth to it’s “rightful owners”.  We sit dumbfounded as they have done exactly that by trillion-dollar plus bailouts and new Soviet-style welfare programs.  We shrug our shoulders when his regime puts out a report declaring Conservative Americans and Christians ‘terrorists’.  We say nothing when they say the biggest threat to the security of the nation is by Right Wing white middle class Americans.  We laughed and waved him off when Obama called us “Bitter clingers”.

Now we sit mute as the Speaker of the House says that we must be subject to have our lives inventoried.

Will we walk willingly to the gas chambers when these tyrants make policy to do that too?

How An Economic Depression Makes A Hitler

History repeats itself, because we fail to remember the lessons it teaches.  We think we can avoid the same mistakes of the past.  But that is not possible when we are ignorant of history, or had it so thoroughly perverted and revised that we have no comprehension that events taking place today – took place a little over 70 years ago, and the consequences cost millions upon millions of lives and plunged the entire world into conflict.

History is again repeating – and we have no clue how late in the game it really is for this nation…and the world.

Oh goody! Looks like we’re having another Depression — maybe just a little one, but who knows how long we can stretch it out, if we give it a good try? 

 

So now we can play FDR and The Glorious New Deal.

If that sounds insane to you, well, it’s what both Charles Krauthammer and David Broder — the Burt and Ernie of the Washington Post — have now concluded about the Obama White House.

The Great Depression certainly empowered FDR to make big changes in America over his four terms.  In spite of all the hoo-hah the country didn’t get out of the long, long slump until 1940 or so, with the huge mobilization of men and industrial resources for World War II. But FDR did get to play to his heart’s content, through the NRA, the WPA, the AAA, the CCC, the TVA, the NLRB, the FDIC and the SEC. By comparison all we’ve got is a measly TARP. So far. 

Trouble is, the Great Depression also brought Adolf Hitler to power. (Darn, I knew there had to be a downside somewhere.)

For those who have forgotten history or never bothered to learn it, here’s is the sixty-second version.

1. Adolf Hitler started out as just another Bohemian intellectual, a sort of fire-breathing hippie, hanging around the coffee houses of Vienna after the big defeat of World War I. Just like Lenin, Mussolini and all the other psychopaths who rose to power around the same time. (Look it up, kids). His ilk can still be found in all the big city cafes of Europe, along with Berkeley, California, Madison, Wisconsin, and other college towns. They all profess peace. But in the right conditions, they are all happy to set off sociological or real dynamite. (Viz., Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn; the Rev. J. Wright and all the rest.)

Today the cafe intellectuals are more likely to be Islamic fascists, but what’s the big diff? They all follow Hitler’s big maxim, “Alles muss anders sein!” (“everything must change”) or, in Obamalingo, “Change you can believe in.”  They all hate whatever is; it doesn’t matter where they want to go.

They want a perfect world, every single one of them. Therefore they all hate freedom, electoral democracy, and the blood-sucking capitalists. They all demand justice and equality.  And millions of suckers always fall for it. Some things never change; even the words don’t change, much less the marching music.

2. When Hitler got out of the Kaiserliche Wehrmacht with burned-out lungs from mustard gas, Germany was broke. The Reich had started the war as the wealthiest, most industrialized, most highly-educated, and perhaps even the most arrogant nation in Europe.  (Although that’s a tough one to judge, there being so much competition in the arrogance sweepstakes in Europe.) Anyway, if you remember the goose-stepping soldiers with the funny helmets with the little spikes on top, and all the cheering people standing on the sidewalks going Hoch! Hoch!, that’s the one.

3. As punishment for the war, the Versailles Treaty required the Germans to pay their victims, to handicap their military and heavy industries, and to be nice to their neighbors. They did pay some money for a while, but then they just lied about all those other things. None of the victorious nations dared to actually find out if the Germans were re-arming or not. Besides, the Germans and Austrians felt threatened by the new and militant Soviet Union, accidentally created when the old Reich helped Lenin to overthrow the Czar of Russia.  (Lenin was another cafe intellectual who turned into a ruthless mass-murdering tyrant, except that he hung around Zurich rather than Vienna.)

4. After WWI the Weimar Republic brought parliamentary democracy of a kind to Germany.  But it also saw a wave of corruption, degradation of middle class values, attacks on religion, promiscuity, and glorification of “alternative lifestyles” — which all agreed on their hatred of thebourgeoisie (who happened to be their parents) — along with lots of artistic expressions of the same Up Yours! attitude that has made government-funded artists so popular in our day.

(A lot of our avant garde is just the derriere garde of Europe’s Weimar period. Nothing new there at all.)

5. Having the Soviets practically next door was a big help to the German Communists  — who still called themselves Communists rather than Black Liberation Theologians, as ours do today. But just like Rev. J-Wright, they all hated middleclassness, or as they called it, the bourgeoisie. (That was their parents, remember?)  So did Mussolini and Hitler, who also rose to power as radical world-changers in the turmoil of the day. They were also big ecofreaks — because Mother Nature was good, you see. They practiced a fair amount of nudity and gayety, celebrated sex and violence, got drunk and carried on riots, and whipped up giant hatreds against scapegoats — the French, other racially inferior peoples, and of course … . Yes. 

They also swore to eliminate the handicapped, the retarded, and any organized religion. Both the Communists and the Nazis really really hated Christianity. Not just Judaism and the Jews. They were equal-opportunity haters, without fear or favor.

6. The whole Ship of Fools seemed to go sailing along until the economy went kaput.  But why did it? You can point to hyperinflation, long and deep declines in industry and agriculture, unemployment, and shaky currencies.  Europe had decades of troubles before the United States caught the bug. Stock markets dwindled, trade barriers went up, and on October 29, 1929, far away in New York City, Wall Street went into a tailspin. It was followed by the other big stock markets. People lost their jobs and their savings. No capital, no productivity, just despair.

7. Europe decided that democracy wasn’t its thing after all, and  looked for nice trustworthy generals to take over the hopelessly ineffective parliamentary governments — like in Germany. But the President of Germany, General Paul von Hindenburg, was elderly and out of his depth, and after a while was forced to ask that nice Herr Hitler to organize a new government. Hitler’s National Socialist Workers Party had never gotten a majority, but the time was ripe, and the Nazis never cared much for rules. So they took power.

In the end United States kind of lucked out, compared to Europe — but don’t try to tell that to anybody who managed to live through it. It’s not just our habit of democratic governance that brought us out of it without tyranny and the devastation of Europe and Asia. FDR had a certain amount of demagogue blood in him.

Or as he proclaimed in accepting the Democratic Party nomination,

“Throughout the nation men and women … look to us here for guidance andfor more equitable opportunity to share in the distribution of national wealth… I pledge you, I pledge myself to a new deal for the American people… This is more than a political campaign. It is a call to arms.” (Italics added.) 

A better “opportunity to share in the distribution of national wealth? … A call to arms?” Has the Obama crowd seen this speech?  FDR naturally attacked greed and wealth, coming from a family of old wealth and long-forgotten greed himself. Greed is in the eye of the accuser.

What’s the bottom line? Well, certain politicians thrive in times of trouble; and if they don’t see enough trouble, they’re always happy to add some more.

They always practice the same kind of demagogy. They always promise radical change. And they often bring the opposite.  Historians have long pointed to the breakdown of Europe’s  middle class as the single biggest earthquake, the one that shook all the other pillars of society until it crumbled. 

In the 21st century, you can kill the middle class by teaching kids to despise their parents and their traditions; you can tax them into poverty; you can whip up nationalistic fervor against the Frogs or the Boches; you can inflate the currency so that everybody is equally miserable; you can teach the poor, the black, the women, the young, to attack the middle class values that brought prosperity over generations of toil; you can torpedo the currency and destroy retirement plans; you can turn the Organs of Propaganda — pahdon me, the “news media” — to assault middle class values; you can unify the very wealthy with the very poor to try to squeeze and whack the middle; you can take historic wrongs like black slavery or Christopher Columbus to turn people against each other; you can easily turn bubbleheaded movie makers and starlets against George W. Bush; you can break the banks and turn the desperate against the malefactors of great wealth; or you can unify white liberals with poor blacks and militant feminists against all the Evil White Guys…

But it’s all the same, you see. Nothing ever changes except the color of the flags and the uniforms. And it’s always the militant idealists, the obsessional clerks and scribblers, who seize the moment to raise yet another Hero of Change and Hope to the peak of power. Because, you see, Adolf Hitler was not the exception. In the century of Mao Zedong and Pol Pot, of Lenin and Stalin, of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, of Robert Mugabe and Saddam Hussein, of Ahmadinejad and Khomeini, of genocidal little tyrants in the Sudan and Rwanda, Hitler was by no means the exception.

He was just brought down faster than the others.  Heigh-ho. Interesting times.
