It’s Time to Accept Reality that it’s Too Late

Guest Essay from my dear Friend John over at Shenendoah.  Sums up my sentiments based on the news I am reading while over here in the third world.

Will I even have a country left to return to?

It’s Time to Accept Reality that it’s Too Late

by John Galt
February 26, 2012 21:55 ET

Hard as this to believe, I’m no longer going to pound my head on an exposed nail in the wall and preach to the insane that the world is about to end. In fact, I have no intention of any longer telling the foolish that the world is about implode. I’ve warned. I’ve preached. I’ve provided the warning signs. The financial system is irrevocably broken and the idiots in charge continue to preach that all is well, keep moving. Why should I or anyone else continue to say that it will fail? Michael Panzer in his book Financial Armageddon attempted to spell out the obvious and what did that get him? A great selling book yes, but deliberate, calculated mockery on CNBC and other financial networks designed to impugn his work, yet never actually denying the reality of his facts or statements.

Select a politician, radio host, religious figure, or economist who doesn’t toe the line.  Senator McCarthy of Wisconsin was painted as a raving lunatic only to be proven correct by the records of the collapsed Soviet Union some 50 years later. Senator Barry Goldwater was depicted as a warmongering fatalist who wanted the end of the world yet all he advocated were the same policies that were proven prudent and correct by Ronald Reagan just over a decade later. Glenn Beck is being labeled an insane nut job by the “establishment” with a record of alleged racism and Alex Jones like conspiracy radio and television which cost him his job at Fox News, while continuously putting pressure on Clear Channel and the talk radio traditionalists who warn him that he continues to make too many waves.  God forbid a pastor, a preacher, or even a choir boy even dare to question the national leadership’s view on religious issues that cross the line with the liberal establishment now as their tax free protections and Constitutional shield will be ripped away to destroy their ability to pray, preach, and save the souls that come to them because they dare to speak their beliefs.

Sadly, the most abandoned group of souls is not the previous list of honorees, but in fact those men who claim to be of science, the art of economics. While numerous individuals dare to debate the merits of the alleged science of economics, the idea of studying human behavior with historical and scientific relevance has been destroyed since the universal adoption of quasi-Marxism and the ideals of Keynes became the “mainstream” of the elites within the institutions of learning worldwide. The ideas of open learning were abandoned after World War I because in the academia the belief was that diversity of information created the foundation for the “Great War” because it opened nations and peoples to ideals that were too difficult for the average citizen or politician to comprehend. Thus by permeating the myth started within the early era of Marx and expanded with the theories of Keynes that economics was too complicate, the realm of the Dark Ages was restored with the Illuminati or elitists having the ability to comprehend the science much like the early Roman Catholic Church obtained the monopoly of the Bible and Christian religion for centuries.

As Austrian economic theory was often viewed as the Kabbalah of economics by those of the centralized planning and Keynesian view, the minority has survived thanks to the cyclical errors and blunders created by the central banks of the world and misinformed or evil political class. After American abandoned the gold standard which the Constitution demanded, the world perceived that the U.S. was about to move into a more globalist, accommodating stance to depreciate the currency and allow American wealth to be redistributed worldwide thanks to political ineptitude and the inflation tax. For those skeptical readers who doubt the depreciation of the dollar, without illustrating the dramatic 90% plus drop from 1913, here is the graph which indicates just how powerful the inflation tax on consumers has been since 1970:

The last recession with the vivid demonstration of the power of “deflation” or the opposite of everything Bernanke and Company tried to prevent is the only major pause in the inflationary railroad to infinity where the American public is asked to finance the U.S. government and mercantilism to create a demand for a global solution. This demand for a “global” solution should give pause to a sane person but tonight the average North American, European, or Asian citizen is more focused on the antics of Hollywood idiots instead of how the new order is planning to cull the masses. The “truth” is that economics, just like the science of global warming, has been hijacked to fulfill a political agenda for profit and power rather than to inform, study, and educate the systemic flow of capital and emotional behavior as was originally envisioned over a century ago.

It is time for the average person to stop the idea of saving their neighbor, preserving the system by voting for RomneyMcCainBush or ObamaClintonCarter, or believing that the “United Nations” is the ultimate solution to the world’s problems. It is no longer about “let’s create teams” or develop “Tea Parties” to save the Republic or pray for solutions. The reality is that we passed the point of no return in 2008 when Americans actually believed that the screeching of an evil soul who was directing first a globalist bank and then the U.S. Treasury was the truth and salvation of our nation. As that darkness fell in the autumn of that year, our nation fell into the abyss yet most citizens failed to recognize the significance of that event as I did (see Broken Glass, September 24, 2008).

It is too late to save your neighbor.

It is too late to save your friend.

It is too late to save a family member who will not listen or believes in the power of a global solution.

It is too late to plan for a world of freedom and individualism.

Atlas is shrugging, yet nobody cares.

The power of the people is now the rule of law.

Sadly the “people” who are in control are neither those of the Founders or of God.

Prepare accordingly.

AN EXHAUSTED NATION CRIES FOR HELP

AN EXHAUSTED NATION CRIES FOR HELP

by John Galt

As the empty homes and farms become a blur throughout my drive across the middle of Florida I notice the little things that tell me that our society, our people, our nation is tired, beaten and worn down after a decade of incompetence, conspiracy, criminal activity and an almost surreal level of wealth extraction and destruction.  From every other cyclical down turn our nation had a moral compass that allowed us to rebuild, restore and renew our system yet this time it feels as if the unique character that allows the decadal restoration to occur is being obstructed by a new, unique power structure determined to divert our society down a failed path of socialist utopia, leaving the average citizen enslaved to the nation state.

As I passed through the small village of Wahneta, Florida I noticed a twenty something year old unshaven and worn man sitting on the back of his old SUV holding a hastily made cardboard sign that simply said “I need work” yet the traffic kept flowing as nobody could help. You see similar scenes throughout the Southeastern states in the small and large towns, where the grocery stores are often backed up with lines of women holding their crying children attempting to pay for their groceries with the government food stamps or sitting in the parking lot asking for handouts. It begs a question to the ivory tower economists and their ilk; is this the ‘recovery’ you claim is under way or is it just because you were able to scalp another 15% by manipulating retiree stock accounts for one more churn and putting more citizens out into the streets?

Meanwhile the government of some of the people designed now to profit a few of the people is attempting to assault the remaining freedoms under our Constitution and diminish the ability of the masses to remove the corrupt souls from their positions of power. The opposition is embattled and assaulted verbally and via various goon squads be they private community organizers, trade unions or the ultimate power, the IRS and their gun carrying Gestapo like police force. Thus speaking out or defending your freedoms now is no longer a no-risk proposition, you have to accept that just by reading or speaking out is no longer a luxury it is a danger which will only become more perilous as the grip on a new supreme power center tightens.  The period of heightened danger has arrived, but will those in control listen to what the masses say and others warn?

A Large Dangerous Giant Slumbers but for How Long?

As the statists continue to poke and prod at the giant, they fail to realize who and what this giant consists of. The mainstream media would have you believe it to be a vast right wing conspiracy. The left wing would have you believe it is nothing but a bunch of kooks. The Republican Party would have you believe it is nothing but a group of disgruntled anti-government types who must be minimalized to insure the status quo remains. Yet this game all parties play ignores the fact that tens of millions of Americans are begging, pleading, beseeching these fools to not awaken this giant from its slumber, to allow it to sleep and satisfy its need for freedom, prosperity and peaceful existence.

They have not and will not listen though.

This giant holds true to the original intent of our nation, our traditions, our freedoms and the ideals of its founders. Parts of this giant stand on the wall, protecting these elites from enemies both foreign and domestic. Other members of this giant just work, pay their taxes and create or expand our society via economic expansion though these members are tiring from the acceleration of the assault on their freedoms. To attempt to destroy the heritage and history this giant believes in will awaken this giant and yet the statists persist in tormenting the beast.

I warn you now:

Do not wake up this beast.

Allow it to slumber. Allow it to live under the beliefs, freedoms and original intent of our founding fathers. Allow America to stay a free, Constitutional God fearing nation.

If you do not abide by these wishes, I warn you based on the history of our country and the resolve of the citizens when their ire crosses the border of resolution via traditional manners.

The giant is vengeful.

The giant is merciless.

The giant is righteous yet wicked in its methods.

The consequences of forcing our nation to change against its will is not a swing in the pendulum of history; it is the destruction of the pendulum and rebirth of a new nation.

The giant will end all discussions, all contemplations, all neutrality and settle all matters and any scores without logic or reason if need be.

I beg you elites to quit prodding, poking, attacking and taunting the giant before it is too late.

Actions and Words Have Consequences

If the elites fail to heed these warnings, which they usually do throughout history, the giant will finish its work and resume the task of living and working. It will no longer be a socialist or corporatist utopia. It will no longer be a union as we recognize it today, but a new confederation of nations, each with differing beliefs, governance and economies. The words and actions of those in the positions of the elite are playing the people as suckers yet the fail to realize that if the choice is between enslavement and the deconstruction of the Republic, many will choose the latter while many others will have other options imposed upon them.

As the new creation emerges as a confederation of states and nations, some might elect to unite with other nations almost as colonial subjects, be it a “world” entity like the United Nations or Commonwealth style subjects to continue the Marxist fantasy of world Socialist domination and unification. The union will be irrevocably shattered as many nations and powers will elect to profit and benefit from the dissolution of our country. Alliances will be created out of thin air as mercantilists and geopolitical strategists understand how the new nations will function, much like the destruction of the U.S.S.R. or Yugoslavia.

Many individual Americans will probably reap huge profits from such a historic event by trading freedoms for peace and alliances for funding and power. Think not of this period as just an economic event because it shall be one that shapes two generations of our neighbors and friends, and survivors in democratic countries throughout the world. The arrogant claim of “it can’t happen hear” shall be silenced like the voices of the suffering Jews during the Nazi engineered holocaust of the 1930’s and 1940’s. Yet so few understand that this will cross many borders and eradicate many myths of superiority and invincibility propagated by decades of peace, slothfulness and ignorance of world affairs.

1861 or 1991?

This begs the question that we must all pray someone is paying attention to; will we dissolve as our ancestors did in 1861 or as modern day Yugoslavia in 1991? I fear that we will first test the waters of economic and political incompetence much like Argentina did then proceed to the dreaded outcome as our people suffer greater and greater inequities and the freedoms are destroyed state by state, soul by soul. I thus propose that in our current time line it is 1860 and the mixing cup is being filled. It will be shaken, stirred and poured out on top as a noxious cocktail of gasoline and kerosene on top of a raging fire, which explodes in the face of the elitist cooks.

Remember that throughout history great empires and nations were rarely conquered, most imploded from within. The self-immolation usually consisted of slaughter and pillage that most civilized souls rarely imagined with the elites escaping through the back door like Roman rulers fleeing the barbarians before they arrived at the gates, leaving the nation open for the worst of consequences.

Only God and the victors know what the new evolutionary outcome will be and what it will mean for all individuals who survive. The is no honor in a victory when one surrenders their freedoms to achieve it and that is what makes most Americans unique to the era we are entering. Thus you have to decide whether or not to engage and work with those that only believe in the Founders vision and use God’s guidance in your decisions to come. Compromise in times like these is nothing more than politically correct phrase for appeasement; never trade your values to these vultures, ever.

I remind you that capitulation to tyrrany will result in a modern American holocaust far worse than anything experienced in human history. Thus this is my one and only bugler’s call to action. Prepare as if there is no tomorrow because now, there is not. Remember how tired you are now and the cries for help you hear about you? America is crying for help, exhausted, unable to lift her arms to the heavens with the torch of freedom. You will have plenty of time to sleep though when you are dead. Rest not for we are at the crossroads of history where corruption is the rule of the day, unseen since the times of Lincoln, Wilson, Theodore Roosevelt and FDR.  Thus you must move beyond “hope” as that is nothing more than a request of others to prepare for you; evil is in full mobilization now and the powers of purity and good are so, so sadly far behind.

Why Obama’s Amerika Will Cost You Your Job

If your boss is honest and forthright, this is a memo you might be getting yourself sometime in the very near future:

To All My Valued Employees

Memo: Job Security

Distribution: To All My Valued Employees

There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company. More specifically, your job. As you know, the changing economy presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn’t pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country.

However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interest.

First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that, for every business owner, there is a Back Story. This back story is often neglected and overshadowed by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside. You’ve seen my big home at last year’s Christmas party. I’m sure; all these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about my life.

However, what you don’t see is the BACK STORY:

I started this company 28 years ago. I lived in a 300 square foot studio apartment for 3 years. I converted my entire apartment into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building my company, which by the way, would eventually employ you.

My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I saved went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a defective transmission. I didn’t have time to date. Often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business — hard work, discipline, and sacrifice.

Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week, made a modest $50K a year, and spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars, lived in expensive homes, and wore fancy designer clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom’s for the latest hot fashion item, I was trolling through the discount store extracting any clothing item that didn’t look like fashion from the 70’s. My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money, and my life into a business with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, will be able to afford these luxuries my friends supposedly had.

You physically arrive at the office at 9 AM, mentally check in at about noon, and then leave at 5 PM, I don’t. There is no “off” button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have the freedom. I eat, and breathe this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. I attach this business to my hip every day like a 1 year old special-needs child. You, of course, only see the fruits of my labor — the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations… you never realize the Back Story and the sacrifices I’ve made.

Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right decisions and saved his money, have to bail-out all the people who didn’t. The people who overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed more than a decade of my life for.

Yes, business ownership has is benefits but the price I’ve paid is steep and not without wounds. Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why:

The government taxes me to death and thinks I don’t pay enough. I have State taxes, Federal taxes, Property taxes, Sales and use taxes, Payroll taxes, Workers compensation taxes, and Unemployment taxes. Taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulates all the accounting that goes with it, which now occupies much of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the US Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes. You know what my “stimulus” check was. Zero… Nada… Zilch.

The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business or the single mother, sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check? Obviously, government feels the latter is the real economic stimulus of this country.

The fact is, if I deducted 50% of your paycheck you’d quit and you wouldn’t work here. I mean, why should you? That’s nuts. Who wants only 50% of their hard work rewarded? Well, I agree, which is why your job is in jeopardy.

Here is what many of you don’t understand … to stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Guess what would happen if the government mandated I didn’t need to pay taxes. Instead of depositing that $288,000 into the Washington black-hole, I would have spent it, hired more employees, and generated substantial economic growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. You can forget it now.

When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don’t defibrillate and shock his thumb, thinking that will bring him back to life, do you? No, you defibrillate his heart. Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not kill it. Suddenly, the power brokers in Washington believe the poor of America are the essential drivers of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth.

So where am I going with all this? It’s quite simple. My reaction will be swift and simple when the governments impose new taxes on me, or my company. I’ll fire you and I’ll fire your co-workers. You can then plead with the government to pay for your mortgage, your SUV, and your child’s future. Frankly, it isn’t my problem anymore. I will close this company down, move to another country, and retire. You see, I’m done. I’m done with a country that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. That destroys my motivation to work and to provide jobs and it will cost me my citizenship.

If you lose your job, it won’t be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steam-rolled the constitution, and will have changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about.

Signed,

THE BOSS

Economic Armageddon?

depression-sign2.jpg

Despite all the warnings from some about the shady Dealers at the Casino tables of America’s stocks, mortgage, bonds and money markets – America was content to ignore the dangers and in pursuit of fast money, let the good times roll.

Except the roll now keeps coming up snake eyes and hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars have evaported into thin air. This week has nearly everyone talking about the economy and the global market collapse underway. Of course the obvious fallout for this coming disaster is going to be the blame game, and it has already begun. I had to laugh in amusement at the comments by Hillary Clinton in last night’s Democratic Debate when she said “If you’re a homeowner who has been at the bottom of this incredible scheme that was established, you’re left holding the bag and you don’t have the house..” when this was the same Democrat party that pushed for and encouraged the banks to make risky mortgage loans to ‘working poor’ and illegal Mexicans.

I guess there’s nothing so typical than for government to encourage a scheme, exacerbate a problem and when the misery begins to be felt, blame the ones they enabled and create ANOTHER government scheme to deal with the effects of the problem.

The trial lawyers are already flapping their wings in prep to take flight in order to feast on the roadkill of America’s economy in multi-billion dollar lawsuits.

I think the only thing we can bank on for sure, is that beyond the lawsuits from new preisthood, we can count on the inept government behemoth will step in at the behest of a screaming dependent populace and make a bad situation an unholy nightmare that takes everything down and leaves nothing but ashes. Like all tyrannical behemoths throwing a total fit, when things begin to unwind – the Elites in power would rather tear everything down leaving absolutely nothing for anyone if they cannot run the show their way.

I guess we may look back on this period of time and consider the final straw breaking the proverbial camel’s back

My freind John has some serious warnings to consider about this market, and these are wise considerations:

BOOM!

During the day someone-according to Frederick Lewis Allen it was thought to have been a bright messenter boy for the Exchange-had the happy idea of entering a bid for a block of stock at a dollar a share. In the absence of any other bid he got it.”

-The Great Crash 1929 by John Kenneth Galbraith

And so as I awaken this morning, do I have a buck to spare? Uh, no. But the quote from the book above indicates what exactly happens during a wide open market panic. There is a misnomer that the powers that be, aka the “Plungers”(PPT), can not stop the momentum of the events we are about to see. The futures are already turning as I type this with an almost 1% swing in the Dow, S&P, and NASDAQ futures yet they are all still down substantially. The “plungers” will spend the next 5 plus hours buying futures in a desperate attempt to stave off a panic or crash on their watch as the scream after the formation of the PPT as a result of the 1987 crash was “never again” or NIMBY. Alas, the problem is that they have no control over Asia to any great extent and the traditional banking powers in Europe in coordination with the PPT can only influence so much for so long. To give you some idea as to the volatility, in just my one hour of being awake this morning the FTSE 100 has swung from down 226 to up 30 plus to back down 40 plus as I type. Will we see the U.S. markets rally? Who knows. There are rumors abound about Federal Reserve rate cuts, banks in trouble, and efforts by the banksters to use the power of their hedge funds to stave off or protect certain sectors in an attempt to hold the line.

They shall inevitably fail.

We might be so lucky to see rallies during the day as in the 1929 and 1987 crashes, yet please, don’t be an idiot. This is not a market for amateurs or people who do not have money to lose. If you understand the concept of trading in a bear market and have day trading experience, have fun as this is your day. If you do not and have the antiquated belief that “buy and hold” is the play of the day, God help you. By the end of today you could easily see a sizable chunk of your portfolio shredded. The brokers are not your friends. Their phones will be mysteriously busy for hours today, the email you send unanswered for days and the protection of their butts first and foremost on their agenda. The smaller platforms which allow you to trade online will probably get smoked today and you might even see some orders executed well below the levels you anticipated or at losses to your account.

The only safety is to be a spectator as I will watch with popcorn and iced tea in hand. History has a funny way of just “happening” as the clock moves forward and the calender flips pages. Those of you too young to have enjoyed disco, polyester jump suits and the 1970’s have to understand that in equity, energy and of course the metals volatility was the mantra of the day. But with internet trading, individual speculation and government sponsored meddling the volatility we during the rest of this month could be a nightmare. There will be bankruptcies from what we witness today. There will be political repercussions. There will be loud, shrill calls for government takeovers to ease the pain. It means nothing. The word is on the street that the first layer of the banking system has issues and those issues will show themselves in due time. IF you would like to check the “rating” on your bank you can go to BankRate to check on the status of your bank and just see how it rates. Watch the local news, read the papers and listen to what is being said by the management. When the entire financial system reaches certain levels of instability, the small community banksters are the first to implode.

So what can we look forward to today? As the title of this op-ed says, “BOOM”, and nothing more. The word “panic” is being used over and over again on Bubblevision and Bloomberg. When the financial media speaks in these terms and tells people to avoid the markets at all cost you can bet your bottom dollar that there are a truckload of sell orders sitting on the desks of the brokerage houses. Mutual fund owners are going to unwind. Small investors who elected to follow the Cramers and Kudlows of the world are going to unload. Foreigners who have been losing everything in Asia and Europe the last two days are going to unload. So regardless of anything our buddy Benron or Hank Paulson who speaks at 8 a.m. this morning wish to say or do, it will have little effect as the markets do not trust our central bank. Faith has been lost and that is not to be restored with $100 billion in intervention nor a 75 point basis cut in the Fed Funds rate and discount rate. I think it is also safe to say at this point that the dollar will be sacrificed to keep the artificial price on equities in place. The Fed may not move today into this panic, but you can bet that the author of Helicopternomics will fire up the rotors and destroy the traditional economic models that a lot of traders wagered trillions on. Despite the efforts and news today, promises of stimuli, and breast beating of the politicians, none of this matters to a family where the husband and wife watched their jobs get exported overseas and the ability to meet the terms on their Option ARM loan which is resetting. Homes will continue to be lost. Banks will be forced to write down trillions. The implosion will be so total, so complete that when the average uninterested observer finally realizes what has happened we will be well into the next depression.
You will see denial. You will hear the President. You will witness pompous political asses marching in front of cameras all night long as the markets gyrate. Remember the safest soundest strategy and remember the warnings we have been giving about the J.I.T. inventory system, the Ponzi scheme known as our financial markets, and the games the government has been playing with our statistical reports which the world uses for raw data to trade. All of the lies and manipulation have to come home to roost and that egg is about to be laid. The famous headline is so appropriate for what we shall witness.

As today, no matter the efforts, the lies and the manipulations we shall see, the smart money is gone and only those who hope and prayed this day would not come(due to their own financial interests) and those who will get religion on the floor of the exchange shall be engaged today. I worry more about the little old lady conned by the major brokerages to invest in stocks and funds she had no business in. I worry more about the people who piled monies into 401K’s because their corporate financial benefit’s advisers are more concerned about inflating their company’s own stock rather than investing in safety for the future of the employees. And I really worry that the spin we will see all day long will give us all major cases of whiplash.

Have your neck braces ready folks.

The day, the first of many, we have warned of, begins today. Below 1200 on the S&P cash market is the darkness. If we break that today, I see little if any technical support until we reach the 1030-1070 range. That’s just a historical observation and if we hit my prediction from the December 28th program and do it in one day, you can dispose of a lot of other predictions I made.

Because it’s:

What I worry about, is in our weakness – which one of our enemies will try and capitalize on it and do us even greater harm?

The world is in a period of momentous change and upheaval – which always happens when civilizations change hands.
