Goodbye First Amendment

Militarized Civilian Security Forces attack the media, arrest reporters and shut down cameras at the scene in Ferguson.

No, this is not the Middle East – this was once America.

Rioting gangbangers and opportunistic thugs causing mayhem is wrong.

What is more dangerous, is what we are seeing as a response to civilian mayhem.

I’m alarmed at hearing so many Americans applaud the military response we are seeing in Ferguson Missouri.  Because doing so means we are on an ice slope to hell.

We are now being conditioned to see armed tanks, APCs and MRAPs on America’s streets with combat troops with heavy weapons pointed at civilians.

Next, we will be conditioned to accept that reporting what those troops are doing is criminal and accept the brutality and arrest of citizens exercising their first amendment duties.

Will we shrug at combat troops (aka Civilian Security Forces) – shooting tear gas at news crews and then dismantling their equipment and cameras while pointing semi-automatic rifles at them?

Notice that these police deliberately SHOT AT a news crew and then dismantled their camera equipment WHILE pointing a semi-automatic weapon at them as they run away.

This used to only happen in third world dictatorships. Now it happens in the place that used to be called the land of the free.

I guess the First Amendment is now null and void in Obama’s Amerika – and we should get used to living in a police state.

Some argue that it is a riot zone and such tactics are called for.

What happens tomorrow when such tactics will be justified against this?

This is exactly how state-run security forces become the Gestapo, the NKVD, the Stasi and other ‘security’ apparatus that will always eventually be used against anything and everything that the State deems to be a threat.

Kiss the First Amendment goodbye folks so many of your countrymen are already applauding the Police State.

The Military Occupation Of Ferguson, Missouri Is Just A Preview Of What Is Coming To America

Let’s be honest – Ferguson, Missouri is under military occupation right now, and the entire world is watching in horror as militarized police fire tear gas and rubber bullets at unarmed protesters. 

Yes, the rioting and looting in Fergusonneeded to be stopped.  If order had not been restored, more stores and businesses would have been destroyed.  However, there is no excuse for the brutal tactics now being employed.  

At one point, police snipers were evenusing laser scopes to target protesters that were obviously unarmed.  Sadly, this is just a preview of what is coming to America in the years ahead.  

As the economy falls apart and people become even more angry and even more frustrated, there will be a lot more incidents of civil unrest like we have just witnessed in Ferguson.  And in response, the federal government and our overly militarized police will seek to crush those uprisings with overwhelming force. 

How is it possible that our once very peaceful nation has fallen apart so dramatically?

Civil War Looms In America As Flashpoint Erupts In St.Louis

Mayhem.  Obama’s Free Sh*t Army loots.  Outside agitators arrive to encourage ‘revolution’. Militarized Gestapo Arrives in force.  Reporters arrested.   Cops sight in heavy weapons from MRAPs on crowd of unarmed protesters.

This is America? 

Is this the spark that sets the nation off to civil war?

We are on the verge of the kinds of horrors we have seen and are seeing in the third world.  Obama has divided the nation to the brink.   His regime and his ideological sycophants in his party and Praetorian Media have polarized the nation.  American Conservatives and Christians have been demonized while debauchery and wickedness have been celebrated.

The entitlement mentality has been indoctrinated into millions of the dependent class, and they are told that to demand more, making everything an issue over race and suggesting that Whites and other Americans need to pay reparations and have their wealth and property redistributed.

The racism industry has expanded under Obama.   Black on black crime is ignored in places like Chicago.  Black on white violence and killings go unreported same with illegal aliens and their killings and homicides upon citizens.  Yet, anyone that opposes what the Obama regime and the Marxofascist Democrat party demand is automatically declared a racist and millions have bought into the demonization that opposing what they want is racist.

Meanwhile…

The nation’s police forces have been systematically militarized with combat troops and military equipment like tanks, APCs and heavy weapons.  Federal agencies have stockpiled billions of rounds of hollow-point ammunition and weaponry. Islamic radicals were declared not to be a threat – but that White Conservatives were a terror-threat to the nation.  The government began to prepare itself for war against it’s own people that the Obama regime have declared enemies.

It’s no accident that Police have become thugs with a badge, harassing citizens and engaging in terror-tactics from shooting family pets for no cause to simply killing unarmed Americans because they could – while making up justifications for murder.  Not simply unfortunate random events, but ENDEMIC events they are being encouraged and trained for.

So in this environment – a political pool of gasoline – the militarized police and Obama’s Free Shit Army – tossed a match.  

Police last week shot and killed an unarmed 18 year old black student in a suburb of St. Louis.   Witnesses describe Michael Brown’s killing as a murder.  That Michael Brown was accosted by the police for jaywalking in which he refused to be arrested.  He was then subsequently shot to death.  Witnesses say Brown died with his hands in the air while being shot multiple times in the back some 35 feet from a police cruiser.

Cops justified the killing by stating that Brown pushed the officer into his car and struggled for the cop’s gun.  However, reports from the police themselves indicate that Brown had no weapon when he was shot multiple times and killed.

Instead of using the situation to unite the nation in examining the militarization of law enforcement – Obama’s Free Shit Army took the occasion to riot, loot, pillage and burn.  Some declared war on whites and via Twitter feed coordination, went into white neighborhoods to cause mayhem where a white woman was shot in the head.  

Just like the Trayvon Martin circus, the usual race pimps, Communist Revolutionaries, Black Panthers and Al Sharpton have flooded into Ferguson, MO to capitalize on the mayhem.  Opposing them, Obama’s militarized Police have shown up to show off – and a powder keg’s fuse has been lit.

Ask yourself as you look at these pics from tonight – is this really America anymore?

Scores of gang-banging thugs and Communist agitators are stoking a confrontation.

But snipers from tanks sighting American civilians???

What ever happened to fire hoses and batons?

As I write, Washington Post, Huffington Post reporters and others have been beaten and arrested. Wesley Lowry and Ryan Reilly tweeted they were beaten and arrested for merely eating at a McDonald’s when armed cops showed up guns drawn and ordered everyone out.  They tweeted: “@WesleyLowery 4m
Got no explaination at any point why in custody other than “trespassing” – at a mcdonalds where we were customers”  

Reilly reports his head was smashed into glass and the police would not answer the question about why they were being arrested.  

Reports are that police have ordered all news crews to turn off their cameras as police have begun firing into crowds and shooting tear gas into neighborhoods from APCs.

Reporters are saying they are being specifically targeted and ordered to stop filming and to turn their cameras off.  Carload of (Al Jazeera America) reporters surrounded by Gestapo and fired into.  Some reporters tweeting they are having flash bang grenades shot at them.  One reporter seriously burned.

Suddenly all live news feeds gone silent.  Cell and twitter feeds also going dark as SWAT teams and tanks take up various positions in the area.

You get that?  The “Police” in Middle America are more equipped and militarized than our combat troops in Iraq during the invasion.

America’s heartland is now becoming a war zone.  Rioters and looters taking advantage of the situation to pillage and rob while Amerikas Civilian Security Force now also taking advantage of the situation. 

Smells almost like a deliberate set-up to set off a civil war, or this is simply the inevitable result of thugs armed with entitlement dependency and thugs armed with a badge and military hardware squaring off.

However this is being advantaged – this is exactly how civil wars begin and grow beyond ugly.  Perhaps this is all going according to plan, while Obama golfs.

Meanwhile, our Southern border is wide open and unguarded.

Wouldn’t Gestapo thugs with a badge be better deployed on the border and let UNIFORMED Police handle the ghetto thugs?  

I’m sure the answer to that question will be no.  Americans citizens, regardless of color are considered far more dangerous by our current government than whatever aliens are streaming into our country by the bus and planeload courtesy of His Heinous in the White House.

Government Is No Longer To Be Trusted

When institutions and government are no longer trusted, a failed society will always turn to a tyrant who will promise to cut through all the red tape and govern with a pen, a phone and brute force.

We are witnessing the death throes of a once great and moral nation.  Obama and his MarxoFascist hordes are fundamentally transforming the country into an authoritarian state via the collapse and misery they are orchestrating.  As the pain of skyrocketing energy prices, food and health care reach critical mass along with a debt and currency crisis that promise to collapse the entire structure of America – upheaval is a certainty.

The Nero-esque contempt and snide deflections of reality by the regime in power is beyond comprehension.  When the pain of the people over loss of jobs and working hours due to the ever-changing ObamaCare mandates, the regime claims that such people have been ‘liberated’ from ‘job lock’ and free to write poetry and pursue the things they cannot do when having to work a job to obtain healthcare benefits.

While the propagandists for Obamas regime and the ruling class lecture that welfare is job growth, freedom is slavery and Capitalism is income inequality – a day is soon coming when civility will end and the pain and misery will garner a violent reaction in protest.

Without question, the Obama regime is already prepared to guide the populace to hate the chosen culprits of blame.  They are finalizing plans to criminalize normal business practices, and accelerate dictatorial despotism with the promise of easing the very misery they caused via draconian acts that will end this great experiment in liberty forever.

Elections are moot.  We have reached the point of no-return.

Got Christ?  That is the ONLY assurance we can count on as we slide into an abyss that is going to stun the world.

When Nobody Trusts The Government

The usual formulation that you will see masticated these days by the flimsy jaws of men and women who have broken free of the editorial column to become freelance ponderers and thinkers is that the Republicans are the neo-confederate secessionists who distrust the government while the liberals, and their captive class of government employees, union members and official minority groups trust in it.

That formulation, like so much else in the spilled ink of the dying newspaper, is wrong.

Both sides distrust the government. They just react to that distrust differently. The right reacts to that distrust by trying to limit or pull down the government. The left reacts to it by trying to take it over.

The contradiction comes out most strongly among liberalism’s minority base. For example, blacks are more likely to trust the Federal government than whites but less likely to trust local government. This doesn’t reflect trust in government so much as it reflects a perception of which level of government is less trustworthy. From a minority perspective, national representation is safer than local governance.

Distrusting the neutrality of government and attempting to hijack it for corrupt sectarian and tribal interests reveals just as much distrust of the government and secessionist impulses as anything on the right.

Large numbers of Asian and Latino immigrants poll in favor of big government despite coming from countries whose governments are brutal and oppressive. But it’s often the people who come from tyrannies who are also most likely to support them.

The neutral spaces of the Bill of Rights are not real ideas to them the way that they are to many Americans. The idea that government can simply be forced out of a space without that space being filled with either a more repressive government or gangs collecting protection money is often not a part of their experience and so not a realistic calculation for them.

Government to them is a power struggle. It’s not a question of how powerful government should be, they assume that it’s always powerful, but who steers the beast. And so they vote Democrat, because the Dems promise to steer it to their advantage.

It’s a mistake to try and break down minority alliances with government to specific issues such as immigration or health care. Issues are only the subset of a larger cultural arrangement based on a distrust of government. In a worldview in which government is always abusive and corrupt, the only question is who gets it worst and who benefits from that corruption.

That kind of trust in government isn’t trust, it’s a calculated amoral strategy based on mistrust, like a shoplifter who steals because all of society is based on theft. Small government is a traditionalist strategy based on a historical memory, part real part not, of a system where more freedom and wealth were available by minimizing government power.

The other side rejects that historical memory as naive and irrelevant in favor of grappling for power now.

It’s not just an issue with minorities. The Tea Party runs into that same issue when polls show that the commitment of Americans to small government stops when it’s to their disadvantage. That is the gap that the left knows about and exploits in its traditional style of creating a patchwork system of fines, taxes and subsidies that create massive inequalities but force everyone to cling to their privileges.

Once you accept that government isn’t going to be reformed, then clinging to whatever advantages it gives you becomes a plausible survival strategy until the whole thing collapses under its own weight or the weight of public outrage. The Soviet Union outlived Russian Communism until enough people inside and outside the government decided that they could live better if they gave Marx and Lenin the boot. But if there hadn’t been Western counter-examples that became increasingly hard to shut out, it might have taken much longer to fall because there would have been no visible alternative.

The right in the United States has its alternatives to the current setup and the left has its usual totalitarian fantasies, but the clients of the left don’t see an alternative. They are too insecure and unwilling to gamble with their lifelines to failing setups such as generous social welfare or municipal unions to gamble with an open system. And those in the private sector are equally unwilling to support any destabilizing change that doesn’t come with pre-approved promises of benefits.

Conservatives dream of defaulting to society, but for many of the clients of the left there is no larger society. They place no trust in a larger society that is bound by few formal laws because it appears to them to operate by a kinship that places them outside it. They understand how government works for all its abuses, but they are far less trusting of a society that they are not truly part of.

And it may be wishful thinking to assume that the society still even exists. Libertarian deregulation alone would not default to a working society. No more than the absence of law does in Mexico or Somalia. It’s not some arcane crowdsourced magic, some wisdom of the mob that makes a society work, but the values of civilization. The United States isn’t Somalia or Mexico, yet, but its social breakdown can be seen in the broken families and gangs. And there are few opposing factors.

The militarization of the police has come hand in hand with the collapse of values and mores. Take enough broken families, pile what’s left over into gangs and the drug trade and before long you need a lot more police to deal with everything from domestic violence complaints to everyday rapes and murders to the bigger stuff that moves up the organized crime ladder all the way to gang warfare.

In a broken society, there are a limited range of options between the fascist government and the feudal cartel, between the gangs and the cops with their repurposed military gear, between the state and a state of lawlessness. And it’s the immigrants from failed states who are the eagerest to embrace government as a hedge against the night. It doesn’t mean that they trust it. It means that they distrust everything and everyone else.

While the left is obsessed with pushing society until it breaks and can be put back together their way, their clients have mostly accepted that society is broken, that families don’t stay together, that men and women can’t count on each other, neighbors can’t be trusted and that freedom leads to anarchy.

It’s not just that they need to be convinced to trust us, they also have to be convinced to trust themselves. It’s easier to trust the government because it is an abstract, a set of ideas and symbols lacking in human frailties. The collective always seems stronger than the individual, even if isn’t. An older breed of American distrusted the group, but elections are increasingly being won by cities and their satellite suburbs where people have despaired of the individual and believe in authority.

People only believe in governments when they lose faith in themselves and their society. The great work of the counterculture was destroying the faith of Americans in their own society, trampling their beliefs through the mud in a dozen different ways, demoralizing them, tearing down their culture and making a self-reliant individualism as difficult to sustain and as socially unacceptable as possible.

When the counterculture couldn’t attack directly through regulation, it attacked indirectly by wrecking the family. When it couldn’t get the numbers it needed quickly enough, it turned to immigration from failed states. That is the end result before us now.

An authoritarian state is a failed state. It represents a failure deeper than that of mere government, but of society. Before a state fails, its society fails. A culture can survive a failed state, but a failed culture cannot help produce anything except a failed state.

America is drifting into totalitarianism because of the left’s exploitation of social failures. The critical mass of social breakdowns, from gang violence to terrorism to poverty, justify the nanny state, the police state and all the other totalitarian states of authority. When there is nothing and no one else to trust, a failed society turns to a tyrant who can cut through all the red tape and govern with pen and phone.

We Must Strip You Of Rights, Imprison & Kill You In The Name Of Security And Public Safety

Demonization, capitulation, registration, criminalization will lead to Genocide And Brutal Civil War right here in what was once America.

There are few people that I have read that can virtually predict the future by simply reminding us of the lessons of history and Matt Bracken is one of those individuals. The day after a Federal judge upholds the unConstitutional and draconian gun ban and registration law in Conneticut, it’s fitting that I read an essay that puts the precipice of where this nations stands in clarity.

Before I excerpt some parts of the essay that I consider paramount to consider in terms of what portent lies in your near future – as an entrée to what Bracken himself adroitly points out in his essay about how tyranny and genocide is always imposed under the guise of ‘public safety’,  here is what the Federal Judge wrote yesterday in his decision to abolish the Second Amendment for citizens in CT:

“The court concludes that the legislation is constitutional,” senior U.S. District Judge Alfred V. Covello wrote in a decision published late Thursday. “While the act burdens the plaintiffs’ Second Amendment rights, it is substantially related to the important governmental interest of public safety and crime control.”

Yes.  History teaches that genocides like the Jewish Holocaust, the genocide of Kulaks in Russia and the Holdomor in the Ukraine are always done under the guise of ‘public safety’.  Right after the victims are disarmed in the same name.  This is always the raison d’être for imposing tyranny and genocide by the hand of the state.

Bracken notes:

I can hear it now—this is the United States of America! Abuses like the ones you hypothesize simply cannot happen here. ‘Gun registration does not always lead to confiscation, much less to extermination’. ‘We are not Germany or Russia or any of those other countries you mentioned’. ‘This is the 21st Century. America is different, and it can’t happen here’. ‘You must lay your irrational fears aside and place your trust in your government’. ‘It cannot, it will not, ever turn in the dark and tyrannical direction that you imagine’.

Oh, really? Google “wrong-address SWAT raids” and read any of the dozens of articles you will find. We should trust the government not to abuse us even further, once we are disarmed and helpless to resist them?

Here’s one such ‘wrong address’ raid from last week.  it takes the foreign press to report that cops shoot and kill a 72 year old man in his own house after they get the wrong address investigating a ‘robbery’.  At some point such raids are going to be resisted by those who remember history – and when coupled with new gun control dictates, Bracken notes from history where that will go:

…after millions of Americans refuse to comply with new firearms registration and confiscation laws. Action will beget reaction. SWAT raids will spur armed resistance, which will spur “death squad” reprisals by “off-duty” agents, exactly in the way I wrote in “Enemies Foreign and Domestic.” It is a natural, almost organic progression, once started—and it has started. Secret detention centers will proliferate like mushrooms in the night. The media will not report on them, even if screams are heard around the clock by neighbors. Particularly brave reporters who break the media silence to report on police abuses will disappear, or be found headless, as they are in Mexico today.

For that is what a modern “dirty civil war” looks like, in country after country, from continent to continent. If present trends continue, America is going to experience a very old witch’s brew on her home soil for the first time since the Civil War.

Before it gets there, understand the conditions that have already been groomed by the current political regime to consider Conservatives to be domestic enemies.  Understand how far down the path towards genocide this nation is already on.  I’m excerpting this section from Bracken’s essay on how demonization leads to actions such as registration, criminalization, incarceration and ultimately, extermination.  Remember, demonization of a segment of people by a government or ruling class ALWAYS results in those same rulers exterminating the group they have demonized.  Demonization/scapegoating makes their removal from society acceptable to the masses, and even applauded by acolytes.  We are already well into this phase.

The Scapegoat Express

Scapegoating an unpopular group is standard operating procedure for budding socialist dictators wrecking once-free economies. For the Soviets, it was the Kulaks; for the Chinese it was the so-called “landlords.” I could list more recent cases to include Cambodia, Uganda, Guatemala, Rwanda and others. Once disarmed and helpless to resist, the hated national scapegoats are slaughtered by the millions.

Probably few Turks, Germans or Russians gave a thought to the ultimate aim of their new gun registration laws, passed quite plausibly in the name of public safety. But national gun registration is a slow-acting poison, sweet and easy to swallow, but potentially becoming deadly only years later, when a tyrant takes the reins of power and inevitably sends for the list. He begins with his most dangerous enemies and works his way through the list, marching the helpless scapegoats into deserts or gas chambers or gulags after disarming them.

In America today, we are seeing the beginning of an insidious scapegoating process, with older conservative white Christian males designated as the nationalLucifer du jour, fair game for any vicious attack. Famous black movie stars joke about murdering white folks and white liberal media stars laugh along with them, conveying elite acceptance of the prevailing “evil whitey” meme.

Filled from birth on a steady diet of the pervasiveness of white racism in America, rage-filled urban youths across the nation play “the knockout game” with often fatal results for their randomly selected white or Asian victims. Meanwhile, the elite liberal media fail to notice the national scope of the almost weekly occurrences. Google “the knockout game” and start reading the dozens of local stories that the media refuse to connect or identify as part of a dangerous national trend.

And it doesn’t stop with knocking out random passers-by with sucker punches and then kicking them in head until they are dead, disfigured for life, or in comas. Have you ever heard of “The Knoxville Horror”? How about “The Wichita Horror”? Google them, read the local news articles about them, and ask yourself how much national media attention those cases and others like them would garner had the races been reversed.

When alternately trumpeting or ignoring crime stories based entirely on the races of the perpetrators and the victims isn’t enough to convey the media’s full slant, they will invent stories or lie freely, as we saw in the Trayvon Martin case, with video footage edited and spliced to deliberately portray “white-Hispanic” George Zimmerman as a racist killer. Selectively covering or ignoring crimes depending on the races of the victims and perpetrators is a vital part of the process of scapegoating. The unspoken message is clearly conveyed: crimes against disfavored groups just don’t matter. The violence prone absorb the lesson, and the result is a wave of racial attacks such as those described under the rubric of “the knockout game.”

Or consider the types of cartoons that are considered acceptable today in mainstream publications, portraying prototypical older white Christian men—presumably filthy-rich conservative Republicans—as hate-spewing maniacal villains, complete with fangs, Confederate flags, prominent Christian crosses and gigantic, threatening guns. Compare these viciously racist cartoons to the vilest anti-Semitic cartoons created by Nazi propagandists before and during World War II. I am not speaking of cartoons drawn by nobodies and posted on obscure fringe websites, I am talking about cartoons printed in mainstream newspapers, cartoons that would be condemned if the targeted group was any other than the scapegoat.

Cartoons are not serious, you say? Then how about a paper in an approved and sanctioned semi-official U.S. military publication, written by a War College professor in good standing. Serious enough for you? Google the “Small Wars Journal” piece entitled “Full Spectrum Operations in the Homeland: A Vision of the Future,” by Colonel Kevin Benson, USA (ret), 2012. The “full spectrum operations” envisaged for the Army in the homeland are not made against hypothetical hostile drug cartels in the Southwest, or urban gangs, or the traditionally ambiguous and vague “Pineland Liberation Group,” or “Orangeland People’s Front,” hypothetical stand-ins named to offend no one, not even by accident.

This long-standing neutral naming protocol is tossed aside in “Full Spectrum Operations in the Homeland,” where the new domestic enemy that the U.S. Army must crush is a neo-KKK, a white racist “Tea Party terrorist” organization, headquartered in, of all places, Darlington, South Carolina. Yes, the NASCAR Darlington. Anybody who has been in or near an actual Tea Party event or rally knows the crowd is made up mainly of an older white population, a quiet group that leaves no mess behind, not even a stray poster, and causes no fuss.

Yet “Full Spectrum Operations in the Homeland” postulates that these white grandpas and grannies will be the very group that the U.S. Army will be called upon to crush in its first major battles on American soil since 1865. The message this paper sends throughout the upper ranks of the War-College-trained military, actually naming an ethnic group—Southern whites—as the national enemy to “hypothetically” be crushed by the Army in the year 2016, is simply mind-boggling.

The path forward that is indicated by the media’s growing acceptance of these vile and outrageous anti-white celebrity rants, cartoons, and articles is the same path that in previous eras led to the guillotine, the gulag, and the gas chamber for the scapegoated populations. But the final solution—genocide of the scapegoats—is only possible after the mob is sufficiently inflamed with hatred toward them by the mass media, in collaboration with an evil government. And time after time, it works.

We are seeing the opening stages of the scapegoating of white conservatives today, as the last election seems to demonstrate to the left’s satisfaction that a crucial political and demographic tipping point has been passed, and the ultimate power equations of raw tribal loyalty have changed in a fundamental way—and now it’s payback time.

We have seen this play out before in other countries and times, and it is deadly serious. Once the scapegoating gets far enough under way, it can pick up a life and a momentum of its own. For example, if the economy ever truly crashes, and the EBT system that feeds fifty million Americans goes down hard, leading to hunger, looting, and riots, (or we suffer other unforeseen problems of similar crisis proportions), the scapegoats will always be dragged to the forefront as the pre-designated patsy, to deflect blame from the government.

“It’s the traitorous Armenians! It’s the greedy Kulaks! It’s the filthy Jews! It’s the oppressive Rwandan Hutus! It’s the white-racist rednecks! Let’s go get them, and make them pay!”

The end result of disarming a scapegoat population is as easy to follow as 1-2-3:

1. Registration. 2. Confiscation. 3. Extermination.

And in this cultural and social climate, with class envy and racial hatred being stoked by the government and its willing partners in the liberal media against white conservatives, our socialist-leaning administration now wants us to surrender our most useful and effective self-defense tools, in the name of “public safety”!

Twisting In The Wind: America’s Coming Collapse

The Bridge of American society is being buffeted by the gales of Marxism, Dependence and Debt.  Collapse is certain as society gyrates in the winds of Obama’s ‘change”.

One cannot argue with the analogy, or the conclusion.  The laws of gravity, physics, economics and history cannot be placated.  America is going to collapse – we just do not know when the breaking point will be reached as the nations swings from liberty to tyranny, from freedom to slavery.

A Collapse 73 Years Ago, and Another One Coming

73 years ago today, the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington State collapsed.  The way in which it collapsed was brought on by a positive-feedback situation, where the destructive force was only bounded by the structural integrity of the bridge itself.

There are some serious lessons in this collapse for the future of American society.

First, let’s get a basic understanding of why the Tacoma Narrows bridge collapsed.

The wind that fateful day was blowing strong, gusting to 42 mph, at roughly right angles to the bridge’s span.  The bridge began to life, then flutter, then twist, and as more of the bridge’s structure faced the wind, capturing more energy from the wind, the the motions of the bridge got larger with each bounce, which caused the bridge to capture more energy from the wind, which caused the motions to grow larger, and so on and so forth, until the bridge could no longer resist the motion, and it broke.

Once the amplitude of the oscillations becomes large enough, the structural integrity of the bridge fails, resulting in what we see at right.

II. LESSONS FOR AMERICAN SOCIETY

Let’s take the Tacoma Narrows collapse as a metaphor.  What are the destructive forces pushing against American society today?   What mechanisms cause these destructive forces to grow and build on themselves?  And at what point does the structural integrity of American society fail, and an economic, political, and/or societal collapse occur?

The howling winds buffeting American society today come from many sources, but join to form a gale force aimed at near right-angles to our society’s span.

I will only focus on a few destructive forces here: the increasing dependence on government and systems of support; the loss of liberty and the increasing police state; the continual devaluation of money via government and big-bank debt; and the intentional attacks on morality and traditional societal norms.

THE WINDS AND THEIR EFFECTS

Destructive Force: Dependence

When I was a kid, my grandmother canned the vegetables from her garden.  In my dad’s childhood in rural West Virginia, everybody did.  Everybody had chickens, and many had a hog or two, rooting in the woods, that would help get them through the winter if things got tight.   Folks were self-reliant.

Not anymore.  One in five West Virginians have an EBT food stamp card. The country as a whole is so dependent on government that half of Americans live in a household that receives some kind of government benefit.  America has 65 million low-information voters who don’t pay taxes, but keep voting to keep the free stuff train ‘a rollin’.

America is dependent.  Not just on government, but on fragile systems of support than can easily be disrupted by natural disasters, like weather, or man-made disasters, like civil unrest and terrorism.  Interdependent,  “just-in-time” delivery and inventory systems ensure that no store has more than 3 days of food.  And water?  Pumped by electricity, just like sewage.  A lot of people in my native West Virginia that used to be on wells, springs, and rain-catch cisterns are on county water and sewer now.    Water that is pumped by electricity.

Food and supplies come to the stores on trucks, whose diesel fuel is refined, pumped, and metered by electrically-controlled and powered equipment.

All of it depends on the power grid.  Thank God it’s not fully centralized; states like Texas can stand on their own, and some other states like Tennessee, Alabama, and Washington have enough hydropower to stand alone, to a certain degree.   But computerized controls connected to the Internet mean that these grids are fragile, and subject to computer-based attacks.  It used to be that the utility industries had their own supervistory, control, and data acquisition (SCADA) networks. Not anymore.  They’re on the Internet, subject to the Chinese Army’s cyberattackers and who knows who else.

In the midst of all this dependency, as a wild card, there are all these drills that turn into real tragedies.  Oklahoma City, in ’95.  9/11/01.  The Boston Marathon bomber.  And coming up, a week from today, NERC’s GridEx, where the drill is the power grid going down, all over the East Coast.  Two weeks after a documentary on NatGeo about an “American Blackout”.  How convenient.

When the power goes out nationwide, there is not a systemic way to get it back. Ever.

100 million+ would die in the first year.

And despite a large movement of “survivalism” and “preppers”, of which Ol’ Backwoods counts himself a part, it is not enough.  Every day, more people get an EBT.  Half of the voting population of the United States takes a government handout of one kind or another.  de Toqueville’s warning applies, but we have ignored it, and now, the Free Crap Army is busy voting itself more and more benefits.  On our election returns maps, whole counties are turning the color of dependence, blue, which really should be Communist Red.

The dependence is growing, and is feeding itself, a destructive force bounded only by resources and the remaining strength of American society.

Destructive Force: The Police State

There is, it seems, an intentional push by the police to get people to react.  The police-military-industrial complex seems to want a civil war.  The Feds are paying for local police forces to have equipment and training in tactics that no oath-keeping officer should be using against Americans. And you know: if they have the gear and tactics, they WILL use them. To justify the budget, a police chief will send a SWAT team to take out a petty thief.   And do it over and over again.

These “all cops to the scene” response to crimes seem directed toward getting people to believe that the Secret Police are everywhere and know everything, and will beat you down if you resist.  In Boston, a whole city was locked down for ONE teenage ‘terrorist’. But it is a sham, a Potemkin village.  If 200 ‘youths’ caused the Austin TX police to “swarm” on the location of the Haunted House riot, and the police could not respond anywhere else, what if a major crime or terrorist event occurred in the rest of the city?  Chaos, that’s what.

The police may put up a show of totalitarian force, but they cannot react fast enough.  As Matt Bracken says, a flash-mob operates on a 4-minute form-act-disperse loop, and the police have a loop about ten times as long, on average.  It’s Col. John Boyd’s OODA loop, and the mob is inside the police OODA loop.  Only armed citizens can react fast enough, because they are already there.

Besides, as the Supreme Court has ruled half a dozen times, the police have no duty to protect you, the individual.  They only have a duty to reduce crime generally.  And their increasing use of Gestapo tactics does not help.

The armed citizen is the only bright spot in this police-state scenario we Americans find ourselves in.  All 50 states have some way for the citizen to carry a gun; in some, it’s virtually impossible to get a permit (New Jersey, New York), and in others (Arizona, Alaska, Vermont, Montana), no permit is required at all.  The rest are mostly shall-issue.  But everywhere you look, the armed citizen is blamed by the media and politicians every single time there is a mass shooting.  And 9 times out of 10, those happen in so-called ‘gun-free zones.’  There’s guns, all right, just not in the right hands.

And then, there are the “the people are the enemy” and “submit to me, I am a cop” attitudes.

Example: the lunacy in New Mexico.  Anal rape of one Mr. Ecker by the police.  They found a judge who ordered this done!  Only one doctor stood up and said, “No, I will not participate.”  But Leviathan cannot be stopped.  The cops found a hospital that would search this man’s rectum, though he had demonstrably done NOTHING wrong.  And these cops have done it before to another man.

The ‘war on drugs’ has been the single most important factor in causing the police to act like tyrants instead of their original mission: protect and defend the constitution against its enemies, and keeping the peace.  Police now can use the possession of any kind of controlled substance as an excuse to do almost anything now.

Police know they will NOT lose a paycheck if they gun somebody down 4 seconds after contact, or taser a woman for not showing the cop her boobs.  And the dirty cops blackmail the dirtier cops, with mutual guilty knowledge, and the so-called “thin blue line” protecting the thug cops.

What about the trained submissiveness exercises for the kiddos?  They all teach the same lesson: kiss the boot of tyranny, or die.  Kids frog-marched out of class by the police for the tiniest infractions, for biting a Pop-Tart ‘in the shape of a gun’ and the like.  Kids in schoolyards, ‘proned out’ by the cops, yelling at them to get down, with barking drug dogs baring their teeth.

Cops used to swear an oath to the Constitution, to a set of ideals.   These Feds and these rogue cops don’t care about that anymore.  There isn’t a moral set of brakes anymore.  They WILL go full Gestapo.  It has already happened.

The police state is growing, and is feeding on itself, a destructive force bounded only by the remaining moral strength of American society.

Destructive Force: Debt

Every year, Federal, state, and local governments spend more than they did the year before, far in excess of the inflation rate.  Government is the only sector where “zero-based budgeting” does not exist;  more, more, more is just the way it’s done.

Every year, more debt is piled on, and the Federal Reserve buys trillions of dollars in bad paper, stocks and bonds, to keep the bubble inflated.  Banks make loans at ever-higher fractional reserve leverages, ensuring they could not possibly give out as much cash as they have deposits.  Credit-default swaps (CDS’s), collateralized-debt obligations (CDO’s), and other obscure financial beasts pile debt higher and higher.

There is now more debt in America than there is money in the world.  It cannot possibly be paid back.

And soon, the United States Treasury will spend quarter of annual tax returns on interest alone.

What if interest rates go up to a mere 5%?  Chaos.  Complete loss of faith in the dollar.

The debt mountain is growing, and groans under its own weight.  How long before it gives way?

COLLAPSE

In our bridge metaphor, American society is swaying, twisting, and bucking, and every time it catches more wind, the amplitude of the oscillations increase.

Where is the breaking point?

I wish I knew.

But we, as individuals, families, and communities, had better be preparing for it.  Because it’s going to happen whether we like it, or not

Welcome To The New Amerika

Police State Amerika is officially here.  A nation where the State dictates all, and citizens routinely have guns in their faces and jackboots on their necks.

It’s a common sight in this nation now.   We’ve been conditioned to accept it.   Agents of the state with guns in the faces of citizens; SWAT-team raids that result in dead pets or dead grandfathers because trigger-happy thugs with a badge got the wrong house.

It’s intimidation by the state, in the name of safety and security – for the agents of the state.

And we go along with it.  Just look what has been going on right in our faces this past year alone:

They will militarily lock down your town.

Run you and your family out of your house at gunpoint and search you and your home.

If you don’t comply with Amerikan Gestapo screaming orders at you with a gun to your face, and you will be shot dead.  Doesn’t matter if you are mentally handicapped or deaf, or simply shocked that you suddenly find yourself being a target for some inexplicable reason.  Then the agents of the state will lie and falsify reports to insist you had a weapon and accuse you of some nefarious type of assault – justifying their execution, which will be almost automatically upheld.

This is become a normal everyday occurrence with militarized police forces at the courtesy of Obama’s federal beast.

They kill 13 year-old kids because when a Predator Drone spots your child with a plastic toy Airsoft pellet rifle, they will declare him to be carrying an ‘assault rifle’ and shoot him dead on the spot, upon which they will handcuff his body to make sure he doesn’t pose a threat to the police anymore.

They will conduct realistic drug raids on middle school children to get them conditioned to police raids, and when one of their attack dogs bites an 11-year-old because the cops slipped traces of drugs on him “to make the exercise more realistic”, they continue to terrorize the rest of the kids while continuing the ‘raid’.

What was pitched as a “drug awareness” event was in reality more of a “police state conditioning” drill.  Young, impressionable kids were subjected to witness first-hand one of America’s most offensive policies: cops crashing into private parties to arrest citizens for possessing a plant or a substance without permission.  The kids were being conditioned to accept that getting searched by police dogs without cause is normal behavior that should be supported.  An unnamed boy was bitten by the dog and transported by ambulance to St. Vincent Clay Hospital for puncture wounds on his leg from where the police K-9′s fangs had ripped his skin open.  If this show of ‘realism’ wasn’t enough, police went forward with another drill on the  kids as the young boy was being carted away in an ambulance.  There were 4 “scenarios” carried out that day.

This isn’t America anymore.  Obama and Statists are turning this country into North Korea.

Empire Strikes Back: Night Of Long Knives Is Nigh

The Ruling Class in Washington declare war on the Conservative/Tea party/Patriot movement and a Stalinist move to eradicate it has only just begun.

The Ruling Class in Washington, especially the MarxoFascist Democrats under Obama – HATE Conservative America.  The success of Tea Party Conservatives in the GOP like Senator Ted Cruz and Mike Lee in forcing the effort to defund Obamacare have earned the hatred and contempt of the Establishment Statists in both parties. The virulent hatred seems more pronounced from supposed GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell who considers Tea Party Conservatives “Traitors”, and Obama Democrats disguised as Republicans like John McCain – who blame Conservatives for the government shutdown while Obama himself refuses to negotiate.

Meanwhile Obama’s Brownshirts in the media and blogosphere are growing more shrill and threatening, advising and laying out subtle and not-so-subtle plans that Obama and the government simply declare Martial Law, arrest and even kill Conservatives and patriots.

New Republic suggests Obama use military against Tea Party

The liberal New Republic published an article that was a not-so-subtle suggestion that Barack Obama use military force against the Tea Party in the same manner Boris Yeltsin used it against hardliners in his government nearly 20 years ago.

“What is a president in a presidential constitutional republic to do when faced with an intransigent, bull-headed faction among his people’s representatives?” Julia Ioffe wrote.

She then gave a brief synopsis of the events that took place, saying Yeltsin faced a situation similar to what Obama now faces.

“Almost exactly 20 years ago, he dissolved parliament. The vice president and the speaker of the parliament dissolved Yeltsin’s presidency, and holed up with their supporters in the parliament’s headquarters, now known as ‘the White House,'” she said.

“Then Yeltsin did this to it,” she added immediately above a picture of a Russian armored vehicle in front of a flaming government building.

Although Ioffe didn’t explicitly say Obama should order the military to fire on members of the Tea Party, the implication was quite clear, and didn’t go unnoticed by readers of the New Republic.

America’s Night of the Long Knives May Hit the Tea Party/Patriot Movement Any Day Now!

In Nazi Germany during the time period between June 30, 1934 to July 2, 1934 a politically driven mass murder was initiated by Adolph Hitler to eradicate the Sturmabteilung (SA), also known as the paramilitary “brown shirts.” While many viewed the bloodshed as a necessary step for the ascension of Hitler to supreme control of the nation by eradicating an unstable ally and all other political enemies including the Communists and Social Democrats, the reality is that this was the most blatant exhibition of the path that Germany was traveling right up until the start of World War II five years later.

Fast forward to this evening on the Glenn Beck Television Show via TheBlaze TV network. He opened the story with more details on the attempted coup at FreedomWorks which occurred shortly before the Presidential Election of 2012 on the day after Labor Day. The Washington Post andMother Jones magazine both covered the story in great detail after the attempted overthrow of Matt Kibbe but Mr. Beck was sworn to silence by the group until tonight when he broke his version of the story without naming the guilty party who was actually an old guard Republican insider apparently working undercover to usurp and destroy the group’s efforts to elect more of the typical Republican politicians who are representative of the “uniparty” as I call the combined Progressive movement illustrated by the alleged two party system.

The article from theWashington Post is more than happy to illustrate how a wealthy benefactor Richard J. Stephenson bought off former Republican Majority Leader Dick Armey to keep him away from the group for a healthy sum of money:

The coup lasted all of six days. By Sept. 10, Armey was gone — with a promise of $8 million — and the five ousted employees were back. The force behind their return was Richard J. Stephenson, a reclusive Illinois millionaire who has exerted increasing control over one of Washington’s most influential conservative grass-roots organizations.

Stephenson, the founder of the for-profit Cancer Treatment Centers of America and a director on the FreedomWorks board, agreed to commit $400,000 per year over 20 years in exchange for Armey’s agreement to leave the group.

I guess even mercenaries have a price to quit a war while they are unscathed and ahead.

Fast forward to the dangerous political games underway in Washington, D.C. this past two months where any political opposition to the Republican establishment, Democratic Party leadership, and of course President Barrack Obama. The Republicans have gone out of their way to attack, belittle, and block any political action to stop Obamacare and other aspects of the Progressive political agenda that both “parties” desire to put into the force of law. Attacks by Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Representative Peter King have said some particularly nasty things in private and in public to attack the likes of Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT). Joined in these attacks is the power of not just the liberal extremist propaganda media, but now the allegedly conservative Fox News/Newscorp group of companies who have allowed the Karl Rove progressive movement to dictate and direct much of the political slant and reporting against any member of the Tea Party at their convenience.

Why the intense hatred for the Tea Party/Patriot movement which favor a return to Constitutional based rule within the framework as designed by the Founding Fathers? That is simple; it interferes with the ability to increase profit and power by removing control of the economy and political freedoms from the average citizen and into the vacuum known as the District of Columbia.

Sadly, it would appear that the intensely divisive disagreement over the budget, debt limit, and most importantly Obamacare is a trap not set by the Tea Party movement and its leaders but by the Democrat and Republican leadership to eradicate the call for freedom once and for all. The methodology for causing a political crisis so severe that action is taken against the Constitution minded politicians and groups is not important and will be discussed in an another article; this is more about the warning of what could happen and the results.

For anyone to think that a politician can not be framed is a naive thought process obtained from years of American innocence and belief in honor among the thieves of D.C. As the shutdown drags on, powers are in motion behind the scenes to usurp the likes of Cruz and Lee and if possible remove them from office on trumped up charges or by dishonoring them to force a resignation or worse if the powers that be had their preference. Imagine the power of the NSA, CIA, and IRS all combined to find and or create cause to entrap radio talk show hosts, bloggers, politicians, and 501c3′s which act as the face of the Tea Party and Patriot movements. Think about the consequences if after some sort of omnibus bill which covers all of the Progressive desires passes the House and Senate and signed into law by the President followed up with retaliation for daring to fight for the rights of the people they represent.

I fear that in the weeks ahead actions which will occur across the nation will drive many underground and imprison many others into the first true anti-American political detainees for the so-called “good of the people.” The charges, if any are disclosed, will be designed to humiliate all opposition and in some cases impart the guilt of being like the “nutcases in Waco” so as to show the population that their benefits, their free meal ticket was delayed and reduced as a result of a greedy few.  With the court system so heavily stacked against the Constitution at every level right up to the Supreme Court and a surveillance police state itching to unleash their power on the masses for their own good, I must warn all of my readers to be vigilant as the crisis drags onward and the real economic pain begins.

America’s night of the long knives may not involve the level of bloodshed that Nazi Germany’s did in the past, but the end result will be frighteningly the same minus the concentration camps and ovens; of course as others begin to resist further, construction of said camps and ovens is a step I would not put past the current leadership of both parties, especially as their personal fortunes are impacted by this growing Constitutional crisis and revenge becomes their goal instead of governance.

Solidification of the Obama Dictatorship—US Government Overthrown while Police State Explodes

Never in the history of the USA has it been in so much trouble as it finds itself today. There is neither point nor gain in attempting to soft-soap anyone about this. Its demise now seems imminent, as no one is doing anything to stop the now-proven-to-be criminal and would-be POTUS illegally occupying what was once—but is no more—our White House. The end of America as the world’s “shining city on a hill” is in its final stage of demolition. No one cares to stop its murder. So, the United States of America will die.

The Obama syndicate, in partnership with the N.W.O., is working hard to keep us on edge—every hour of every day—so that we will be distracted and not see the desolation he is creating in front of us. Dictator-in-Chief Obama, however, remains apart from these issues and—instead—recently had an “all boys” weekend of golfing and who knows what else to celebrate his birthday at Camp David and also begins another round of vacations away from Washington D.C. As with all other dictators before him, this is Obama’s nature…to play hard with other people’s money and lives while he works to destroy those same people. The destruction of the USA is not simply the end of a country. It is, instead, the end of a civilization.

US Constitution Officially Overthrown by Obama, the US Congress and SCOTUS

Last week, Congress met behind closed doors—as it always does now when going against we-the-people—to beg Dictator-in-Chief Obama to fund them (with subsidies paid for by US taxpayer money) and their staffs for the ObamaCare horror they passed and forced upon the rest of us; an ever-shrinking American population.

Ever-shrinking as Obama is illegally and unilaterally changing this “law” to meet the desires of his political buddies, donors and supplicants in general. Eventually, there will only be a few of us left who will have the unmanageable burden of paying for everyone else. With this action, Congress unequivocally recognized Obama as Dictator of the USA. How? Please allow me to explain. The Executive Branch has no authority—whatsoever—to make laws of any kind. That is Congress’ sole authority. (Note: SCOTUS CJ John Roberts had no authority to change [rewrite] ObamaCare’s provision of fees to taxes when he decided he would rule it constitutional…which it is not…he also unilaterally and illegally rendered the US Constitution null and void). Congress has now illegally ceded a huge portion of its power to make law to Dictator Obama. That makes his dictator title official.

The US government is now—and has been since the Obama Syndicate took over the country—totally and completely lawless. In actual fact, the sitting “US government” has rendered itself null and void due to its illegal and criminal actions. Thus, it and its members have no more legal authority—whatsoever—to govern over anyone or anything in this country. Via their actions, all three branches of the US government have—effectively—overthrown the government “of the people, by the people and for the people” and committed the highest treason possible. In other words, there is no more operating and legal US government with any moral, ethical or legal authority in place.

Obama Police State Expands by Leaps and Bounds

There are so many of these—with more occurring every day—that it seems prudent to list them with a brief summary, only. Source references are provided and follow this column for a more thorough view of each.

1. On 3 August, 2013, in California the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans were used to illegally intimidate and forcibly shut down a peaceful free speech protest against Dictator Obama’s policies for illegal immigration and amnesty
2. The TSA has been expanded and has, apparently, now been given full (SWAT) police powers by the Obama syndicate to patrol any event or area Obama chooses…for whatever reason the dictator chooses. On 5 August 2013, the New York Times’ Ron Nixon wrote: “Transportation Security Administration’s Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response squads — VIPR teams for short — assigned to perform random security sweeps to prevent terrorist attacks at transportation hubs across the United States.” The TSA has formally been added to the Obama Gestapo
3. DHS has removed US Constitutional protections for US Citizens with its new “Constitution Free Zones”
4. NSA covers up another illegal program against US citizens. On 5 August 2013 Reuters’ John Shiffman writes: “I have never heard of anything like this at all,” said Nancy Gertner, a Harvard Law School professor who served as a federal judge from 1994 to 2011. Gertner and other legal experts said the programme sounds more troubling than recent disclosures that the National Security Agency has been collecting domestic phone records. The NSA effort is geared toward stopping terrorists; the DEA programme targets common criminals, primarily drug dealers.

   “It is one thing to create special rules for national security,” Gertner said. “Ordinary crime is entirely different. It sounds like they are phonying up investigations.”

5. On 14 August 2013, it was announced that ObamaCare will allow “forced home inspections” (aka ObamaGov home invasions) for virtually any reason including, but not limited to, tobacco usage, Families where mom is not yet 21, Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays or disabilities and Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the United States. This activity was also employed in Nazi Germany, in order for the Fuehrer to rid himself of his opposition and “undesirables”

Please look at the above dates. All of these actions by the dictator and his minions have been within the last two weeks! There awe so many it’s becoming staggering. But, that’s the plan. And, as still no one is stopping the now fully-rogue US Government, Obama’s plan is working VERY well. We need a counter plan.

The Marathon attack and subsequent shootout and capture of Jihadists revealed how far America has fallen into a willful Police State

I remember seeing black and white pictures of Nazis forcing Jews from their homes at gunpoint and wondering to myself when I was young, ‘why do they not fight back?’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I could never wrap my mind around the notion of an entire people ignoring the insanity of what Hitler was preaching and the masses worshipping him as a god, and literally enabling their entire society to be transformed in just a few short years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I could never understand how an enlightened people would fall for the demagoguery of an entire class of fellow citizens, and then cheer at their criminalization and extermination and pretend they did not know what their government was doing to them.

Liberty’s Absent Warriors

Where the heck is the Christian Church while America is being turned into a Godless totalitarian society??

America is being transformed into a Godless MarxoFascist Police State right in front of our eyes – and outside of some radio talk-show hosts ranting about it every weekday – the country is largely silent about where Obama is taking the nation while our liberties and rights are being systematically stripped away from us.  Where is the Christian church?  With the exception of some high-profile examples of companies like Chick Fillet and Hobby Lobby standing against the infringement of their right to the exercise of faith in how they run their businesses, church leadership is dead silent as evil is being declared good, and righteousness is being legislated into an evil.

God is speaking with warnings to His Servants who are attempting to wake up a lukewarm church to impending judgement.  They appear to be voices shouting from the wilderness as the larger extent of Christians in America continue to ignore or shut their ears to the warnings.

Chuck Baldwin and Dave Daubenmire today share sentiments that match mine, nearly verbatim.  Sadly to answer the question “Where is the church?” – appears most Christians only want to hear smooth and easy things.  The happy-happy, joy-joy theology from the mega-church memes of Joel Osteen and Rick Warren, is what the vast majority prefer to hear rather than the sound biblical principles that once forged our nation’s society.  Pastors do not want to rock the offering plates and tithes, or raise the ire of the government and potentially risk their 501C-3 status.

Liberty was first fought for from the pulpits in the Colonies.  It has to be defended in like manner.  If the church refuses to stand on biblical principles against tyranny – then this people have no hope of ever retaining what liberty they have left.

A people who refuse to be governed by God and who stand to defend that right at all costs, will be ruled by the tyranny of men, and subjugated by the same.

Christians, Please wake up!  America is in the throes of a burgeoning Police State

What is it going to take for pastors and churches to wake up and realize that America is in the throes of a burgeoning police state? Ladies and gentlemen, the long-standing veneration for law and order does not include blind submission to governmental abuse of power. Yet, it seems that very few Christian conservatives are even paying attention to what is happening before their very eyes.

For example, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has purchased over 2 billion rounds of hollow-point ammunition (enough to wage a 30-year war); the DHS has purchased over 7,000 AR-15s. The DHS calls them Personal Defense Weapons (PDW). These are the same semi-automatic rifles with high capacity magazines that when you and I buy them are called “assault rifles.” Plus, the DHS has purchased over 2,700 armored vehicles, the same kind that the US military uses in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Department of Defense (DOD) calls them MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected). They carry .50 caliber weapons that fire from inside the vehicle. The vehicle itself is impervious to mines and small-arms fire. They are the vehicle of choice for our combat troops in the Middle East.

Pray tell, why does the DHS need that kind of firepower? And who do they anticipate using all of this firepower on?

If all of that isn’t disconcerting enough, we have now learned that the DHS has spent 2 million dollars on producing shooting targets of American gun owners. These are called “non-traditional threat” targets. They include pregnant women, elderly citizens, mothers in playgrounds, and even little children. These targets are produced by a company called Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. The company calls these targets “No More Hesitation” targets.

What is the DHS planning to do? Turn the entire continental United States into one big giant Waco?

Can one imagine the reaction by the DHS if a company was producing shooting targets depicting law enforcement officers?

I guess another question I have is who are the people whose faces appear on these targets? Did they know they were being photographed to be used on a shooting target? Or were their images photoshopped? Whose mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, daughter, son, and child are being used for these targets? I wonder how many Americans whose loved ones appear on these targets know that the photographs of their family members are being used as targets for DHS agents to shoot at. And how would any of you like it if those targets bore the photographs of YOUR loved ones?

This is bizarre! If this wasn’t so very, very real, one would think that it was one big practical joke. But it is no joke!

While our own domestic federal police department (a blatantly unconstitutional entity, by the way) is arming itself to the teeth, our President and Vice President are in a full-court press trying to disarm the American citizenry of their most effective and efficient self-defense tool: the semi-automatic rifle. Are we supposed to believe that all of this is mere coincidence? It is true that I was born in the morning, but it was not yesterday morning!

Adding to our cause for concern is the way our veterans are being treated (or should I say mistreated) by the federal government. As far back as 2009, returning Iraq and Afghan War veterans have been labeled as potentially “dangerous extremists” by the DHS (along with people who are pro-life; people who support Ron Paul, Bob Barr, and yours truly; people who believe the US should get out of the UN; people who are opposed to the “New World Order;” people who believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ; etc.). Today, more and more veterans are being labeled with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and other such names, and being told that they are not fit to possess a firearm.

In addition, under President Obama’s recent Executive Order, physicians, both military and civilian, are quizzing their patients regarding firearms and have the potential authority to write a derogatory diagnosis about a patient that could be used as an excuse for the government to deny his or her right to keep and bear arms. (If you have a physician that asks you any questions regarding firearms, my advice is to find another doctor immediately!)

My friends, our country is being transformed into an Orwellian society right before our eyes! All the while, most pastors and churches seem to be completely oblivious to it. And, of course, most of the reporters and journalists in the mainstream media are nothing more than compliant propagandists for anything Big-Government. The same is true for most educators in our major colleges and universities.

But it is the apathy, indifference, and blindness of our pastors and churches that is the most disconcerting. The most influential group of leaders in America is still the pastors–the trend away from traditional churches notwithstanding. There are over 300,000 evangelical churches in the United States. Can one imagine what would happen in this country if half of these pastors would get up in their pulpits this Sunday and sound the clarion call to stand up and fight these insidious encroachments against our liberties? What if 25% would? What would happen if only 10% would rise up and take a stand?

Dear Christian friend, how can you stay in a church where the pastor will not take a stand for your liberties? How can you give such a church your tithes and offerings? Do you not realize that any pastor and church that refuses to fight and protect your liberties is helping to put the shackles of tyranny and oppression around the necks of your families?

Regardless of how sound you believe your pastor to be doctrinally, or how educated he is, or how much Hebrew and Greek he knows, or how warm and caring he is, or how much you personally like him, if he is not willing to take a public stand for your liberties, he is a willing accomplice to the demise of our republic and the rise of totalitarianism in this land–as surely as the pastors of Germany were accomplices to the rise of Hitler’s Third Reich!

Christian, please wake up! A police state is being constructed before your very eyes. Your liberties are being systematically expunged. While you are waving your hands and praising Jesus, the enemies of liberty are laying the nets and traps around your homes and communities that are going to be used to enslave you. While you are fixated on your pastor and church staying doctrinally pure, the barbed-wire fences are being built around the camps in which your children and grandchildren will be incarcerated. While you sit comfortably on the padded pews in your heated and air conditioned church sanctuary and listen to an inspiring sermon that makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over, the sacred principles that protect your right to freely worship, and speak, and defend your family are disappearing.

Beyond that, not only are many thousands of pastors not resisting this emerging police state; they are actively and enthusiastically joining with the big-government toadies in helping to eviscerate our freedoms. Is your pastor one of these? If so, you might as well be listening to sermons written by Joseph Goebbels.

Big-Government propagandists love to couch submission to oppression under the guise of patriotic duty to law and order. But submission to oppression is not patriotic; it is imbecilic! And make no mistake about it: the attempt to outlaw, ban, and confiscate our firearms, especially our semi-automatic rifles, has nothing to do with law and order; it has everything to do with overt oppression. To such an egregious encroachment against our liberty there can be no submission, only determined, resolute resistance.

And a similar cry from Coach Dave Daubenmire today also.  Where I differ from him in understanding, is that his optimism of ‘rebuilding a nation’ after we are rendered to dust is not biblical.  We SHOULD NOT attempt to rebuild that which God Himself allows to be torn down.  This is as true of a nation as it was for the Temple system in Jerusalem.

OUR SILENCE IS DESTROYING THIS NATION!

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.

To put it as the Bible does, we are without excuse.

We. Me and you. Our silence, our cowardice, and our unwillingness to take some heat has cooked our own goose.

We won’t be able to say we didn’t see it coming, because we did.

We won’t be able to say we couldn’t have done anything about it because we didn’t even try.

We won’t be able to say it wasn’t our fault, because it was.

Silence isn’t golden, it’s yellow. The only thing necessary for evil men to triumph is for good men to do nothing. To permit is to participate. For he who knows to do right and not to do it, to him it is sin.

Sin. There is that word. Our silent acquiescence to the destruction of this nation is without excuse.

Sin. A word we have stricken from the public discourse in America, and a word that has been put in the closet in most of our churches.

Sin. The cause of every misery this nation is about to endure.

“Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.” –Isaiah 1:4

We knew better. We knew that the road to hell was paved with good intentions, yet we permitted the god-haters to lead us down the yellow-brick road only to discover that OZ was only a figment of someone’s imagination.

We didn’t hand-off to our children what had been handed off to us and as a result we wake-up daily to a nation that we no longer recognize.

We love to blame the government, or the Congress. We point our fingers at the senators, or the courts. We blame the Devil, or the Devil’s spawn in the Whitehouse. We blame TV, and the media. We throw our stones at “rock music” or violent video games. We blame guns and drugs, divorce and debauchery, or race and religion.

But we never blame ourselves. We never look deep in the eyes of the man in the mirror, and trace the wrinkles carved on the surface of our skin to the self-inflicted wounding of turning from Biblical principles as the cause for the deep scars in America’s soul.

We did it. You and I. We spent so much time looking the other way that we can no longer find our way. We have watched our children walk the well-intentioned path for so long that it is almost impossible to rescue them as this nation slides into hell.

“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” –Psalm 9:17

One nation under God. In God we trust! God bless America!

Who are we kidding?

Why should God bless America?

We are a deluded nation. Everything that we see in this nation is false.

The stock market is soaring as the nation sinks. Economic prosperity is an illusion. We produce nothing in America any longer except for porn and debt. The market will tank. It happened before and it will happen again. Yet you remain in the market. You think things will get better because the government tells you it will. You are deluded.

Education expenses are skyrocketing in America. The more we spend on education, the more sheep-like our children become. We teach them that debt is the path to the American dream. Schools teach our children foolishness and we continue to pay for it…the higher the education the lower the wisdom. Professing ourselves to be wise we have children who have become fools.

The dollar is being destroyed before our very eyes. Folks find nothing strange about believing in the security of the stock market or the American dollar, yet laugh at the accumulation of silver and gold, the only real money in the world.

Lunch is always free…at least for awhile. Eventually someone has to pick up the tab. Nearly half of Americans are eating lunch for free yet we don’t understand the consequences of the bill coming due. We live off of credit in our personal lives, so government borrowing is no big deal.

Drones are now flying over America. They tell us that the drones will never be used against American citizens. The government is purchasing so many rounds of ammo that the shelves in our local gun shops are empty. If guns are so bad, why does the government have so many? Tanks? The DHS is purchasing freakin tanks!! Thousands of them…wonder why?

The wrath of God is being revealed.

Dorothy’s emerald shoes have rusted. Instead of “there’s no place like home” we find ourselves chanting ‘there’s no place at home.” What do you do when home sweet home is no longer so sweet?

Those of you who read my writings regularly know that I am a glass-half-full kinda guy. I trust in the faithfulness of the Lord and His promise to never leave us or forsake us.

But we have forsaken Him. We have forgotten God. Singing “God Bless America” will not make it so. He has blessed us…more than any nation in history…but we have spent the inheritance.

We have done it to ourselves. We are complicit in the suicide of a super-power.

So, what do we do now?

Calamity is certainly in our future. How it will play out I really don’t know. But are you going to prepare to make it to the other side?

The other side of what, you may ask. The other side of whatever is coming. Is it possible the calamity comes before Jesus returns? What will it look like? Are you prepared?

I have come to the conclusion that we cannot stop whatever is coming. Only the chastening of the Lord will return us to our senses. Because he loves us, he must discipline us. God’s love will hurt.

But there will be an “other side” of this whole mess. We will not be the first nation to have gone through such chastening. It will be time to rebuild. I pray I, and you, are up to the challenge.

Prepare now. Prepare your hearts. Read while you still can…especially the Word. Find and connect with like-minded believers. Hundreds may be depending on your person preparedness.

When the dust settles…if it ever does…folks will be looking for those that they can trust. Those with a plan…those with an answer…those who can lead with righteous judgment…those people will be more important than bullets, beans, or money.

Something horrible is coming. You can feel it…we know something is amiss…the wrath of God is soon to be revealed. We traded our children’s future for a pot of stew…
