IRS Agent: “Task Force” in DC Handled All Applications From Tea Party/Conservatives

IRS Commissioner went to the White House for meetings 118 times in two years, while IRS Agent states all decisions regarding applications from Conservative groups were handled in Washington DC.

Not that this is any surprise, because I contend Obama has been waging war on America and Americans who he considers his enemies since he was crowned emperor in 2008 by his Marxofascist sycophants.  But today we learn that an IRS agent in Cincinnatti, whom the Obama regime blames the entire scandal on two “rogue” employees – states that ALL DECISIONS REGARDING PROCESSING OF CONSERVATIVE GROUPS, was handled by a special ‘Task force” in DC.

NBC News has an article out this morning that is mostly a rehash of information we already know. But there was something else in the article that caught my eye:

Cleta Mitchell, another attorney representing conservative groups that allege they were targeted, said an IRS agent in Cincinnati told her a “task force” IRS office in Washington, D.C., was making the decisions about the processing of applications, and that she subsequently dealt with IRS representatives there.

“(The IRS agent in Cincinnati) told me that in fact the case would be transferred to a special task force out of Washington, and that he was told – he was the originally assigned agent – that he wasn’t allowed to make decisions, the decisions were all going to be made in Washington,” Mitchell said. “I know that this process was going on in Washington because I’ve dealt with those people.”

I’m betting this Cincinnati agent also knows names since he dealt directly with these people. Let’s hope it doesn’t take Issa long to follow this lead because I’m betting this one’s gonna make some people in the White House a little nervous.

That special ‘task force’ I believe was run directly OUT OF OBAMA’S WHITE HOUSE.  I would submit Obama or Jarrett actually reviewed those applications themselves and directed they be harassed and targeted as we have learned the IRS did.   How else does an honest person explain the IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman, visiting Obama at his White House 118 times in 2010 & 2011.  Shulman’s successor, Steve Miller also visited Obama at the White House NUMEROUS TIMES since last November as Acting Director of the IRS.    By contrast, Shulman visited the Bush White House only ONCE in four years.  What this Obama IRS scandal accomplished is to dry up any funds going to Conservative candidates and intimidate Conservative activist groups into silence BEFORE and during the 2012 election cycle.

118 visits by the IRS Commissioner to Obama in 2010 and 2011.  That’s ONCE A WEEK.  And it was during this time that the TEA Party and Conservative groups say they were denied their applications, harassed and intimidated into silence.

This is what a despotic mob-like government does before it decides it has the power to simply execute their political rivals.

IRS Chief’s 118 White House Visits Must Be Explained

Scandal: One IRS commissioner visited Obama’s White House 118 times in 2010 and 2011. His successor also dropped in often. But under George W. Bush, the tax chief visited once in four years.

As the Washington Examiner noted last weekend, ex-commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service Douglas Shulman went to the White House some 118 times in 2010 and 2011, while Steven Miller, the acting director who took over from Shulman last November, himself made numerous trips there, White House visitor logs show.

Business as usual for one of the most powerful arms of the federal government, you might think. Not so.

Mark Everson, who ran the IRS during most of the George W. Bush administration, from 2003 to 2007, apparently visited a single time, grousing that he felt like he had “moved to Siberia” because the tax collection agency was so out of the policy loop.

The alibi the White House has wedded itself to is that it had to work closely with the IRS to implement ObamaCare. But House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., says “it’s hard to believe” the IRS’ abusive targeting of Tea Party and other conservative groups did not enter into the conversations that took place at these meetings, at least “in passing.”

But the Bush administration actually did some IRS revamping during its tenure, to “provide IRS with the modern tools needed both to deliver first-class customer service to America’s taxpayers and to ensure that compliance programs are administered efficiently,” with one of the major goals being to address “the drop in customer service … over the past several years.”

Yet that didn’t seem to require the IRS commissioner to scurry to the West Wing more than 100 times, or anything close to it.

Commentary’s John Steele Gordon points out that the managerial post of IRS commissioner coming over to the White House once a week on average might make sense if President Obama had been planning a big tax code restructuring. But that was not the case, and “Obama’s sole interest in the tax code has been to raise rates on high earners,” Gordon notes.

Shulman admits he knew by spring 2012 that the IRS was targeting conservative groups.

So, “Is it really believable that someone who had a Wall Street career before coming to Washington five years ago was so politically naive that he didn’t see the potential for scandal in that information and give the White House a heads-up?” Gordon asks. And that no White House staffer then passed it on to the president?

Then again, Shulman is the same guy who, with a straight face, answered Congress’ questions about the 118 visits with the alibi that he visited the White House to attend “the Easter Egg Roll, with my kids.”

That’s a lot of Easter Eggs — but not a lot of credibility.

There is a lot the American public do not yet know about communications between the White House and IRS. The integrity of free government demands a full, serious investigation.

This Is What Tyranny Looks Like

If you are Christian and Conservative, expect your health care to be denied.  The MarxoFascist at the center of the IRS Scandal is promoted to head ObamaCare eligibility at the IRS.

I cannot keep up with all the scandals breaking in the past week, and I have been cautious to wonder how they would play out.  While any one of them would have brought impeachment charges against any Republican President sitting in office, I firmly believe now NONE of this is going to damage Obama or anyone in a Cabinet leadership position.  This is full-blown tyranny at this point, and the Obama regime considers itself invincible.

Do not be deceived into thinking the media has turned on Obama – this was a calculated release of scandal, perhaps related to getting Benghazi out of people’s minds, or so overwhelm them with scandalous news that the average American simply stops paying attention because of the overload (an Alinsky tactic).  The media will benefit from this past week’s ‘outrage’ over Obama’s misuse of the DOJ, DHS and FBI to acquire phone numbers and logs of reporters – because now they will tell us that they did their job investigating Obama, and are not biased in his favor.

What we are experiencing is what all Banana Republic dictatorships in the third world experience.  In fact during this past week’s Capitol Hill testimony, Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX)  asked Acting IRS Commissioner Steve Miller, “Is this still America?  The question was one of incredulity in the face of the fact that the Obama government is so drunk on power, that it has turned its full force, its full might to harass and intimidate and threaten average Americans “who only wants her voice and their voices heard”.

This is what tyranny looks like folks.  Yet Obama just last week said to our kids that they should reject the voices of those warning about HIS tyranny.

Obama is saying that America needs to reject anyone pointing out government tyranny, yet tyranny is exactly what he is engaging in against the American people.

Here is a woman we will need to learn much more about in the coming weeks. Sarah Hall Ingram is a highly valued employee at the IRS. In the last three years she has received $103,390 in bonuses for her excellent work. She was the Commissioner of the Tax-Exempt and Government Entitles Division. Under her leadership, groups that expressed a fear of large, out-of-control government were systematically crushed by her branch of our large, out-of-control government. They were specifically singled out for harassment for political reasons. Secret information about the conservative applicants was leaked to leftist opposition groups to facilitate further harassment.

This was an organized political operation using State power to silence opposition voices. It is part of every tyrant’s playbook. It tells you everything you need to know about the current state of our country to see that those who favor a limited government, the explicit goal of our founding documents, are now considered enemies of the State.

In a 2009 speech, Ms. Ingram explained her approach:

As a practical matter, we cannot subject every application for tax-exempt status to a painstaking, leave-no-rock-unturned review. Nor can we audit every organization’s 990 every year. Nor would you want us to do so, right? To govern is to choose, and we must choose appropriately which applications or 990s to focus most attention on.

It is clear now that by “choose appropriately”, she meant to harass the limited-government groups endlessly and let liberal and Islamic groups sail right through the approval process.

The good news is that this woman is no longer in charge of that department. The bad news is that she has been promoted and is now the head of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office. She and her comrades could have access to all your medical records. They will “choose appropriately” who has trouble with the state-controlled medical system and who sails right through. They will decide if it is appropriate to share your medical history with others.

But don’t worry. I heard the outgoing IRS Commissioner say in Friday’s congressional hearings that he has reviewed the situation and found that there was “no partisanship” in the years-long practice of singling out conservative groups for IRS harassment. None at all. There is just no reason to think that specifically targeting one side of the political spectrum had anything to do with politics.

And when Commissioner Steven Miller was asked why conservative groups were targeted for prolonged scrutiny, he said that it just happened because people were trying to be efficient. Sure. Months and months of delays with endless demands for more paperwork is the efficient way to go.

Miller was forced to admit that secret information gathered from certain conservative groups was passed along by the IRS to their leftwing political opposition. So the IRS illegally gathered information and illegally passed it along for political reasons. Mr. Miller said that these actions were “inadvertent”.

There is more evidence of direct lies from IRS officials in Kevin Williamson’s column, “The Nine Lies of Lois Lerner“. One thing we learn from Williamson’s article is that the current campaign by some officials to act surprised and disappointed by the news of IRS criminality is just a scam to deflect their own culpability. Everyone knew the Inspector General’s report on the IRS was about to be released. The IRS needed to jump ahead of the report and act concerned. They were not concerned for years prior to being caught.
